"This is one of those bright, pretty and modern restaurants that are very much in fashion nowadays. The cuisine is strongly linked to the region with fish dishes to the fore presented in an attractive and contemporary style." - Michelin Inspector

"In this town, it’s indisputably the rich squid-ink tagliatelle with prawns from the relaxed, cavernous Gagini Social Restaurant (35 Via dei Cassari; gaginirestaurant.com; around $200 for two for dinner)—though the perfectly simple spaghetti aglio e olio dusted with tuna flakes from local favorite L’Ottava Nota is a very worthy runner-up. (55 Via Butera; ristoranteottavanota.it; about $160 for two for dinner)"

I was recommended this place and it was above my expectations. The service is impeccable. The food is exquisite. The different flavors, everything was delicious. Definitely coming back here next time.

Amazing restaurant! The food was so delicious. We had the ceviche, pasta with mushrooms and pasta with seafood. Also got the real cannoli with ricotta and homemade limoncello. The service was so good! We were sitting outside, nice and cozy. Would definitely recommend!

The food was enjoyable, and the tasting menu was ample enough to satisfy, but there are better value options in Palermo. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. While some waiters were more professional, our main server was unenthusiastic and mumbling when describing the dishes. Despite informing him of my friend’s onion allergy, the main course still arrived with a whole onion in the center of the plate. The atmosphere was excellent, and they have a terrace. However, requesting an outdoor table during booking seems pointless, as we overheard other guests being told the terrace was full, even though they had specifically requested it in advance.

I had one of the most amazing meals of my life here. I visited L’ottava nota while visiting Palermo. I wish i could live here long enough to become a regular at this restaurant. I had the seven course tasting menu along with the seven wine pairings. All the courses were incredibly delicious and all but one had me making happy food noises. The wine pairings elevated and matched the food perfectly. I never imagined that truffle ice cream could be part of an appetizer course and take three delicious dishes (foi gras, raw tuna, and beet) to a level I had never imagined. This course will live in my mind forever.

Google
Absolutely spectacular. The food was creative in all the right ways and the service was perfectly attentive but not overbearing. Pietro was fantastic! Just what we were looking for to try some regional specialties. Definitely recommend the tasting menu - seasonal and delicious. We thought the fish course was a tad overcooked but still delicious in its zebra preparation. Make sure to try the chef’s homemade limoncello with your dessert.

Google
Started out wonderful but somehow got lost along the way. We passed on the 7 course menu (probably part of the problem) and ordered 2 starters, one 1st and one 2nd course. The amuses were very creative as was the bread service. Tuna tartar was the best we’ve ever had and the ceviche was also very tasty. It went downhill from there as we waited over an hour to get our last 2 courses. Restaurant had gotten busy and they seemed to not know how to handle the ala carte items as the next table was served 3 courses while we waited for our 2nd. the pasta with crawfish was good but not great, lemon way subtle. lamb was a bit overcooked and we were surprised at not being given an option on rare vs well done. sparking was delicious but the red was just ok, probably our fault as a first try in the varietal. service was friendly but way too slow and not attentive while we waited for so long. check came very quickly when asked for. maybe an off night but overall mediocre experience for over 200€

This restaurant was in the old city of Palermo and is a Michelin-Rated restaurant which proved to be in every way. Besides what we had ordered they served us appetizers made artistically in beautiful shapes and many side dishes which we had never seen such presentation and service before. The food was extremely enjoyable along with the complimentary items such as dessert and small pieces of bread cut in various shapes and forms. The dinner here was amazing, which we shall always remember.

Google
Totally overrated place. None of the dishes was tasty enough. Medium rare ordered beef fillet came medium cooked and those ordered medium came as medium well. The meat quality was average. Only the bakery stuff was delicious and that’s it. Big disappointment.

Yelp
We have now spent 11 nights I Sicily and have eaten in some wonderful restaurants in some amazing towns. In Many we ate at one of the top places: this place is, to me one of the best places I have ever had a meal at period much less Sicily, The Bread basket is amazing but it comes with a reduction of olive oil and olives that just takes the flavor of olives and somehow compresses it into a dip. I can't explain it in words but come here and you will know what I mean. We ordered an appetizer that had confite, with a anchovies and a cream sauce that was sheer genius. The blend of flavors was amazing. We then got a cod fish which we fried and served with a white sauce. Just wonderful My wife had a pasta that was also awesome. Wonderful amazing service in A a nice room. So you have a nice ambiance, great service and a cook that is on his game. If you are in Palermo get yourself here. If they a have a Better place i would love to try ITV

Yelp
We had no reservation but they were able to seat us immediately. Interestingly, they open at 8 at night. Both food and service were good. We tried their tasting menu service and it was good. If you are visiting Palmero, it's recommended by me at least. They are very attentive to their customers. Food was good and a little salty at times for our taste but acceptable. Wine pairing was ok because the red wine has a little bitter taste I don't like. The bubble was the other hand was a pleasant surprise to me. Overall, I would recommend to try it but it's going to cost you over 100€ per person. Considering some popular restaurants in the States, I think they are still a little cheaper.

Yelp
The food was awesome, service was great, space was beautiful and priced fairly. Americans be warned to not be in a hurry, but it's totally worth it. We had a little bit of everything and enjoyed every last bite.

Yelp
Perfecto! Great staff, great food, ambiance... personable. The wine list is fantastic. No complaints. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
A really good dining experience. The restaurant was very modern and well decorated. The food was an interesting riff on Sicilian food. It was all very delicious and beautifully presented. The waiters were attentive but not overly hovering. I very much enjoyed my dining experience at this restaurant.

Yelp
I came here every year since the food is really amazing and they deserve a star Micheline. However, they will never get one if you find a bone in your fish. For the rest wowww amazing restaurant
