"If you don't foresee yourself traipsing into the countryside to find art, there's the very central Lotte Museum of Art, located in Lotte World Tower in the heart of the city. The museum is known for contemporary art exhibitions, and RM visited during his holiday to see the work of Taiwanese-born American artist James Jean titled Eternal Journey."

I saw exhibition of Shepard Fairey, American artist, watched his bio too. It was incredible! While exploring each room, they would play very cool beat, i found it very suitable for this art! Here in Seoul even 5 and 6 year olds were enjoying a guided tour.

Wasn't crazy abt paying for a museum, but at least there was an early bird discount. Went to see the James Jean exhibit and was blown away by the dark, whimsical creatures that occupy his world. Every corner of the space was filled with work from various phases of his career, most of it large in scale. In some of the long hallways tho, the lighting created too many shadows to see the work well.

Really badly organized, it seems like some art pieces are missing or perhaps temporarily removed. The museum is pretty small, it takes about 40 min to see it all. The artwork itself may be ok, but there is no explanations whatsoever and it seems run down, even though the entrance fee is still over 15 usd. Its definitely NOT recommended.

Perfect place for a weekend afternoon. I saw the Jean Michel Basquiat exhibition, really cool and well done. Obviously they don't allow photos to be taken inside, only for a few works that are specifically marked. It's a mix of innocence and terror, eith many layers of meaning, suitable for kids who can relate with the naive style drawings and for adults as well for the questions and mysteries it pushing to the surface. Don't miss it! Can't wait for their next projects!

The museum was well organized. They displayed the art in very modern and interesting ways. The Kenny Scharf exhibit was really neat.
