Amazing!!! amazing is all I can say!!! The food was phenomenal. The atmosphere was welcoming and very clean! The staff was helpful with a great attitude. Trey welcomed us with great customer service and recommended menu items! We told Trey what we wanted and he delivered!!! The service was fast and the food was fresh! 10 out of 10 !! I’m definitely recommending this place to everyone I know!

What a disappointment! I ordered 2lbs of crawfish and some shrimp. Extra corn and potatoes. The crawfish were either reheated or frozen previously and the tails was mushy. The crawfish were really small, also. The extra corn and potatoes that I paid for were NOT included. The flavor was really good though. That's it, that's all. I still haven't figured out I need to check my order, thoroughly before leaving the establishment!!

I love Lotus. I always order the loud pack but this time I also got the shrimp Alfredo & it was delicious. I ordered through DoorDash but we had all our food, plenty of crack sauce & utensils. I definitely recommend this Lotus

Really upset about the way the crab smelled and tasted because spending $30+ dollars ($90 dollars total) on just two clusters and having to find out that one of them was bad really upset me. I’m just hoping I don’t get sick all the way luckily I caught it and I only caught it bc how rancid it tasted and the smell :( I tried calling to resolve this but no answer. Please check the quality of your food before serving it. You can see the color difference on the pic.

This is the only location that I haven't had the chance to dine-in yet but as far as take out it's the one I go to most. So on the side of the restaurant they have a window for pick ups which makes it super convenient. So everything is good. Their seafood is very tasty. I recommend their seafood packs (I've eaten them all) and also definitely try their fried oysters, it's so good like sea popcorn chicken where you just pop them in your mouth like a snack. I definitely love their crack sauce but the lotus sauce is also good too so whenever I order I always get both.

This was my first time coming here, even though Lotus Seafood has been here for quite some time. Me and a friend came here during lunchtime. We ordered Combo Lo Mein, Fried Green Tomato with Blacken Crawfish topping and Cajun Alfredo Bowl. The food took about 15 minutes to arrive because they are made to order. Food was delicious and fresh. The location is perfect. Plenty of parking and easy access to SW Freeway and Bissonnet.

🗣️BELIEVE THE HYPE!! best tasting seafood I’ve had thus far. And yes that crack sauce turns the flavors up several notches. I had to purchase a bottle to fly back to ATL with me. 10/10+10. Highly recommended!

Wait a mf minute! This placed had high expectations and they lived up to every one of them. We had the fried lobster and fried rice, fully loaded loud pack, and the lemonade. We also had the Bob Marley daiquiri and the Superman. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. Shoutout to Trey for all the suggestions!

First time visiting Houston and wanted a seafood boil. It was so good and *chef kiss*! It was busy but got my order in a good amount of time. I would definitely recommend this place and would come back.

I came to Lotus Seafood to meet a friend for lunch. The restaurant had quite a few customers when I got there right after 11:35. I think the lunch crowd came after we left. The menu is easy to read with many selections. They also have laminated menus on the counter with stuff not on the menu board. The employees were helpful to give us guidance in choosing the right dish. I read the reviews before coming here. So, I had some idea as what I want. But after looking at the whole menu, my eyes opened wide. I ordered Combo Lo Mein and Fried Green Tomato with Blacken Crawfish topping. He got Cajun Alfredo Bowl. Got a hot box with extra potato in medium sauce. A must try! Flavor was delicious. Just the right amount of heat. Would recommend getting extra juice. Only my second time eating at Lotus, last time I got fried shrimp with fries. It was okay. Nothing I would order again. But the hot box was on point. Would definitely do this again! Decor was very cool. Airbrush artwork of various cartoon characters. Going to the bathroom feels like you're in a night club. A fun spot!

Lotus is so delicious . I had the pleasure of visiting lotus and the environment was nice ,not pack and kind of a vibe because of the art on the wall . I didn't dine in ,I order my food to go . The to go process was easy as they have plenty of menus around . I ordered a kids fish meal, crawfish, combination lo mein ( chicken and shrimp) and fried green tomatoes topped with sautéed crawfish. I love the kids meal,.it was just enough for my son. This meal did include fries but no drink. The fish tasted well season and so are the fries. The crawfish was cool ,it's not pack with the dripping crawfish sauces as most restaurant, and the daiquiri had a nice kick to it . I did get a little tipsy lol. The lo mein was okay, I had better other places. My best tasty dish from here would be the fried green tomatoes. Baby these tomatoes was sooo good that they should be ashamed of making something this good. Definitely recommend.

Im in love with Lotus. From the price to the taste I have to stop by every time i am in town! The crack sauce is to die for. The happy hour drinks are amazing as well. The owner came out to great us and make sure we were enjoying ourselves and the service was great.

Okay so boom! Took a lil trip to Houston for my birthday and a friend of mine suggested I try Lotus. She was on to something because yummmmmm! I didn't get to physically visit, but I did order from Uber eats. Food didn't take long to get to us and it was still hot. I ordered the fried lobster tail (with rice) and mom ordered 10 pc spicy bbq wings/fries. The lobster was good (pretty good size too), but the rice!! The rice was so gooddddd and spicy! I love some spice so that was a pleasant surprise. Then the crack sauce...bruh, I was trying to figure out how to take the extra back home with me lol. That sauce turned it up a notch for sure. The wings were good as well. Good flavor and mom enjoyed them. Overall, the food was very good. If ever in Houston again, I know where I'll be eating :)

Definitely will return here the next time I visit Houston. I love love LOVE seafood and this place satisfied my appetite for it. I ordered the Crawfish Hotbox which had perfect portions. Seasoned to perfection. I simply unbagged and ate! I didn't need to add a thing to it. Kent, thank you for helping me navigate the menu and make my selection. In addition, thank you for the Kent created margarita. I have no idea what it was other than GOOD!!! lol We went at the perfect time, it wasn't super busy, but there were a lot of pickups for takeout. I will most certainly return. If you are ever in the mood for great seafood, this is a wonderful place to try.

Ain't nobody said there were crawfish tails in the Loud Pack too!! Omg this was bussin!!!! I got the Loud Pack with the egg, corn, sausage, shrimp and rice in medium. Medium is the right spice/heat for me! The flavor was on point and not too salty. I also got their virgin frozen lemonade & fruit punch mixed. The cashier was nice to add a strawberry drizzle to make it an American Flag look. It was full of the fruity flavor. There was alot of people inside but the wait was not too long. Everyone looked like they were enjoying their food. They also have tvs around. I took my food togo and enjoyed it at home. Definitely looking forward to the next one.

Food preparation and cleanliness: I ordered a take out order of fried shrimp. When I got home and about to eat I noticed some of the shrimp were fried with the shell still on them.

I looove seafood, but for some reason it's hard for a lot of places to prepare clean, fresh, and well seasoned dishes. I've gotten the final introduction to Pappadeux just last weekend (born and raised in Cali) and I believe this place was Miles better. The shrimp could have been cooked less harsh, but other than that the portions and flavor were there. Ambiance The reason for the missing star. This is simply a take out place only. If you're expecting a five start performance from the customer service stand point then you might want more, but like they say hole in the walls are always better (not saying this one is). It's not commercial. This is a place where the food is even better the next day because of the flavor and spice.

If you're looking for a really good boiled seafood spot, Lotus Seafood is the place. Coming from Louisiana, I can honestly say that they know what they are doing here. The cashier helped us figure out our order since it was our first time there. We ordered the Hot Box with an extra crab leg, along with the Louisiana Fried Rice to go! The order didn't take long to come up and everything was right when we got home. There is definitely more than enough tables to eat there. It's a causal space with a lot of wall art, which is cool! So our honest thoughts on the Hot Box crab legs, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes... AMAZING! The flavors even without the Crack Sauce was good! We ended up ordering the regular spice and it was perfect! It was hard to stop eating it. Also, the Louisiana Fried Rice was great as well! I liked the pepper the rice was seasoned with! Loved it and I hope to come back again!

Food is good, No hello, No thank you for your business, No have a nice day, No Smiles, service is lacking in all aspects. Ambiance, it's a fast (and slow at the same time) seafood spot, the whole place is a waiting area. It's like they feel you should bow to them giving you good seafood. At the end of the day, boil or steam your own seafood and just purchase their sauce in bulk. This is just what I experienced, you do you.

As a girl from New Orleans, even I love lotus! The shrimp are bomb! Also fried the catfish and shrimp poboy and it was very flavorful and well seasoned. They have happy hour too on drinks and food which is a vibe!

Fully loaded loud pack is good most times. Can go wrong with the crack sauce. The sauce makes the food hit more. Ordering to-go is always best when not dining in service is fast.

Yummy food! We got the hot box combo with one additional crab cluster and two boiled eggs. My favorite part was the crab and the sausage with the crack sauce. My sister's favorite part was the crab and boiled egg. We got the regular spice and it was the perfect amount, it definitely will make your nose run!

The food and the staff working the tables were excellent!........ I was so excited about this place and I've been wanting to try it for a long time. Was visiting Houston for Thanksgiving holiday and was able to make it to Lotus. Being that it was our first time we didn't know how to order so I was hoping the young lady that took our order would help us out. She seemed annoyed by our questions and very unfriendly. I had to pull the answers out of her. For instance, I asked "can you order the seafood without rice?" She just shook her head up and down....‍ and then I asked about the frozen drinks behind her and she answered "you can only get 2 flavors".... The girl had no customer service at all. It kind of ruined my experience. I didn't get her name I just remember her being young with braids. Other than that, the food was good and the ambiance was very nice and open. It's unfortunate that you would have someone with such a dry and bad attitude working the front of such a nice establishment.

We got take out for hot box mild, half a pint of crack sauce, and lobster w/ Lousiana fried rice. Ended up costing roughly 70$ (did not take pics of anything but fried rice and lobster ) The lobster was deep fried and actually very tasty. The meat was generous on the tail. It being deep fried, I believe you can eat it all with the crunch but to me it felt like a bit much so I didnt but it certainly is soft enough. The Lousiana fried rice had crawfish and spiced. It did feel a bit zesty and hearty. I actually really liked the mild hot box. I thought this was the best thing out of everything I ate. The sausage was cooked well, as the shrimp. Potato was good, I didnt get to try the corn tho. Ultimately, nothing was overcooked at all. The crab meat was also generous and felt fresh. The mild sauce was a buttery garlicky and spicy but it never got too much. There was a bunch of butter/oil but damn delicious. The crack sauce people were raving about it so I bought half a pint. I'm conflicted. Im not sure what I'll dip or use it for. The sauce is a bit sweet and somewhat addictive. It tastes garlic and a bit spiced too. I can see why this is such a hot spot. I would grab seafood from here again!

Rude. I normally have good service. While waiting on drinks and checking out I saw leave a review and recieve 10 percent off . So I proceed to do review and ask how does it work. One lady told me that I recieve 10 percent off purchase today. Next lady tells me I should have done review before I checked out. I proceed to tell her how would I know how the service is before receiving it. The manager comes and tells me I have to buy something else today and recieve the 10 percent. Seems they say whatever to move the line. Service could be way better especially when dealing with food . Everyone needs to be on same page. And also a smile wouldn't hurt

Service was A-1. The staff was very friendly and took great care of us. We had a two fully loaded loud packs and a vegan lo mein. My friend is vegan, and she said that there was more vegetables and noodles, which made her lo mein a seven out of 10. The fully loaded loud pack was really good. I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10 every time. the crack sauce is $.75 honestly - I wish that they would just give me an unlimited supply because it's just that good. I don't mind spending a couple dollars extra for extra sauce. Definitely worth it.

Upon coming in, the service was good. The cashier noticed we were new to the restaurant and hekp us through the menu. He recommended medium however i should have done mild. I will say that people who like spice "Medium" was very spicy, but I am a person who doesn't like spicy. Overall, the meal was well flavored. I appreciated that the shrimp were a nice size. The rice was Cajun with both crawfish and shrimp throughout. I added corn and 2 potatoes but you had various options and spice levels. And you must try the Crack sauce as another patron told us. It was well worth it. I would certainly return BUT with a mild request. Medium has my mouth on fire

Okay, I was surprised. I was referred by a friend and went for the crack sauce. There was no line at this location when I went as it was before "Happy Hour." I got crawfish, egg and sausage--to keep it dirty keto. The crack sauce made the difference. A couple of ladies from SC asked me about the sauce. As I was leaving I gave them my unopened extra sauce packet.

Lotus is the best seafood in town. One thing I love is their happy hour $10 deal. The shrimp, sausage and corn are the BOMB! Not to mention the crack sauce is so delicious. Thank me later!

Food was excellent, serving was attentive and ambiance was comfortable. Wasn't too far from home. The colors were beautiful. We all (4) enjoyed our meals and tasted each other's.

First time trying this place out. Pretty tasty food, and the service was good. Crab leg wasn't as tasty as expected. One thing I thought should have came with wings was ranch sauce , but it was an extra fee when I saw the reciept.

Wasn't great. Idk if it was the end of the day but my food wasn't good and not cooked well. The sauce wasn't giving bang. Then when I went to pick it up the guy wasn't nice. But i think lotus won't see me again.

This place was all over social media a couple years ago and I tried it a few years back and it was good then and it's still good now. It seems like they've expanded since the last time i tried it with several locations in the area now. Find the nearest location and go try it out immediately! Food is so good! I go here every time I'm in town. This location had Great Wall art to look at.

I'm a bit bummed to write a "meh" review. But that's all that Lotus Seafood on Southwest Fwy merits. I had the Fully Loaded Loud Pack, which had 9 medium shrimp, well-seasoned, a sausage link, boiled egg, potato, and corn. I also got fries (Ore Ida style, soggy and skippable) and a Maui Wowwie daiquiri (decent). The place was well-staffed with unhelpful people. I know that employees are hard to come by, but they were just useless. As a former server at a full-service restaurant where 10% was a good tip, I never get how 20% doesn't even garner a "thanks" or bringing the food around the counter. Especially if there are only 3 tables. That's bad management, not on staff. The food was just okay. The fried rice at Mamb*'s is way better. As are the shrimp. The famed crack sauce is $0.75 per packet. It's the most flavorful item on the table. The food is photo-worthy. The neighborhood is a bit sketch. Overall, meh.

Friday evenings a spot is always so busy. I work right down the street from them and I must say the fried rice is amazing. You can't go wrong with having the shrimp either but make sure you get the sauce. People talk about it all the time they call it crack sauce is good but they need to give you more of it. If you pour it on your rice is so much better gives it awesome flavor. Highly recommended.

Absolutely love the happy hour shrimp!! Omg! I foolishly used to get the peeled...nah get the shellnon shrimp!! Amazing! I have tried their catfish and shrimp as well which I loved too. Fried crispy and perfect. Loved the fried rice as well. Had the wings before but I don't think I cared too much for them. Willing to try them again though. They didn't leave an impression.

Scrolling through Instagram I came across the Lotus Seafood page and instantly my mouth watered looking at the lotus seafood baked potato. Coming from a New Jersey this is the first food spot I wanted to try in the Houston area. We arrived around 9 PM I was a very long line and that made me believe that this food would be amazing... it was not. I ordered the seafood loaded baked potato with shrimp only and even the cashier told me it was so good so when I got the actual baked potato it tasted wrong. When I say wrong I mean the loaded baked potato itself was delicious however the shrimp tasted disgusting. I'm not sure if it's what they fried it in or the batter but the smell coming off the shrimp reminds me of a smelly oil or something like that it instantly made me nauseous and ruined the whole experience for me. On the other hand my husband ordered the Poboy with shrimp and the shrimp included in that sandwich actually tasted better than the bigger shrimp that was in my loaded baked potato. I'm not sure what they cooked the shrimp in but I would suggest that they stop because it made me nauseous and gagged unfortunately.

Dennis was very friendly and had great sense of urgency and the food was amazing as always. I most definitely will be coming back to this location!

I was so excited to try the food here . I've been seeing the TikTok videos on this place . The staff is extremely nice . I ordered fried lobster tail , fried rice & crab legs . The fried lobster tail was soggy . The fried rice & crab legs were extremely spicy . I hate spicy food . I wish I had been told this so I could have adjusted my order to not make it so . I wasn't able to even eat a quarter of the fried rice & crabs legs because it was so spicy . Also it's cashless . I wish this establishment would accept cash . I'm giving it 2 stars based upon the niceness of the staff

The Food is hands down a 10!! The boils and the fried food are so flavorful and delicious. I have yet to order and eat anything that is not good! I also love how fast they are in getting out the to-go orders and whenever I ordered online always ready when I pick up. Lotus Seafood is a must try!

We like it here!!! Had to hit this up on our way to Galveston I had the catfish nuggets and they were seasoned well!! I am a connoisseur of tartar sauce and I love that they make their own, in house.. frozen drink machine on point too.. I had the dirty Diana. Check it out and support!

I recently tried the crawfish mild and it was still flavorful and tasty. I love the fully loaded loud pack with the crack sauce On Wednesday I get their wing special and I love their wings.

I usually only order the lobster tail pack and over the years the quality has declined. It's used to be crispy and maybe a little rubbery at times, now it's just soggy and rubbery. Fried rice was even soggy. For as much as they're charging for it you'd expect a little better quality.

smelt foul inside. pretty messy as well. sandwich was yummy but pretty dry needed more sauce. rice was ok friend didn't care for crawfish in it.

Only reason I stopped here today was b/c the last time I had a Loud Pack from this location it was sooo tasty! But today they missed,the rice was not made good. It was stuck together. Potato & corn were plain plain. I put a little crack sauce over it but that wasn't enough. Woulda had to drown it in sauce to get some type of flav The sausage & egg was good as well as shrimp. Long story short for $24.65 including tip it was not hitting on much for the upgrade to the fully loaded version. This place can be hit or miss with this particular item b/c the rice is sometimes gritty or great. Either way I gambled today. But I'm Agg b/c I'm tired of waiting spending my coins at some places that are inconsistent w/ the outcome. (I'm mostly a creature of habit when it comes to selection).

After hearing sooo much about Lotus Seafood, I finally decided to try it out. I ordered the frozen lemonade (spiked ) and the loud pack. The food was average but the C R A C K Sauce !? I would drink it if Summertime was not TOMMORROW. The frozen lemonade was delicious, although I paid for the larger size and received a small one. I also believe I received the nonalcoholic virgin, which is really frustrating because there's no way I would've paid 12$ for a small frozen lemonade. All and all, if I could rate the crack sauce alone this review would've received a 5 star rating. Being that the sauce and my 12$ v i r g i n lemonade is the only thing I really enjoyed I decided to be fair and rate my overall experience 2 stars . Due to the lack of flavor and service. I honestly feel as if the guy who took my order purposely gave me the wrong-sized drink as well as the unspiked lemonade. If I decide to return, I will be purchasing a half pint of the C R A C K sauce. The total of my order was 30.04 Loud pack Frozen lemonade Extra crack sauce I visited this location on a Thursday evening around 6:00p. There was no wait time and I was the only person in line when I ordered.
