Lotus Seafood | Stafford

I frequent the lotus on Veterans Memorial mostly, as it’s closer to my house. I’ve heard so many great things about the Stafford location and since I was in the area, I decided to give it a try. Needless to say I will stick with my veterans memorial location, while Stafford has the bells and whistles of a nice, updated area inside, it’s nothing like the customer service at veterans and the food and flavors at veterans. Maybe I am a little bias. Lol. Portions on my loud pack felt like I was most definitely missing some items. The food was hot and fresh, just missing my veterans memorial flavors. Yes at Stafford, you get daiquiris which I thought did not have any alcohol in them and mixed drinks. I felt as if I was having a slushy, and not the one from sonic. The mixed drinks might be good, but I didn’t try those so I can’t speak on them. It is counter service and you clean your own tables, granted the person before you clean up behind themselves. If you’re in the area, I suggest you give it a try otherwise I would not make a commute just to go here. It’s pretty basic to say the least.

Great food. The crack sauce lived up to the expectations. The rice and shrimp were on point. Gumbo had a bunch of protein, super loaded. Will definitely visit again.

My first time there today and I enjoyed it. Walked in and ordered my food to go. It was pretty busy inside but not too crowded or overwhelming. We were helped right away and it took about 25 minutes to receive my food. It was not a long wait at all. I ordered the fully loaded loud pack and the hot box in mild. They came with a pack of crack sauce and we tore it down. I especially appreciate them making sure no egg was in the rice as my son has a severe allergy. My experience was great and I will be back.

I heard about Lotus seafood on YouTube and promised myself to try it if I ever visited Houston and l came all the way from Miami just to try it while on vacation and the food was amazing, the People was so nice I have no complaints. I wish I had better pictures. I didn’t order more food Togo.

First visit and I will not be able to rave about my experience enough! Various cool artwork and modern decor. Mentioned it was my first visit and received the royal treatment. Went the recommended Hot Box and it was a great portion, so flavorful, fresh and had me licking every drop off my fingers. Staff is walking around constantly bussing tables and cleaning. Restroom was neat with lighted mirrors in hallway giving a neat photo opportunity. Here for business this week and will be back for more and bringing my team 😍. And that crack sauce….lawd. I’ll be dreaming about it 😅

We come here for the fully loaded loud pack and the Alfredo pasta. It’s absolutely bomb! I’ve gotten the crab clusters a few times and they are good (but I’ve had better). Their crack sauce is absolute crack and a definite must have!! Fried rice options are pretty darn good as well. They have some new items on the menu now like fried okra (good but needed more salt or seasoning), Mac n cheese (decent), soft shell crab with Louisiana fried rice (my kids enjoyed it) etc. etc. Sorry I didn’t take more pics. They will bring your order to the table, but you have to clean up and throw your own trash away. Plenty of TV monitors with sports. The bathroom is a total vibe with LED display lights leading to the actual loos.

On this visit, I more so came for family time as I was still full from my massive lunch. However, lol, it is hard to go to Lotus and not get anything, so I got corn on the cob, sausage, and a daiquiri which was just what my taste buds and appetite needed. The sausage and corn was of course flavorful and my daiquiri blend was great. The good thing about Lotus' daiquiri's is that you get to sample your desired blends (as many as needed) until you have your desired combination. Simply put, I just do not think you can go wrong with Lotus. Forever a fan!

I’ve been going to Lotus for many years. I stopped at the Stafford location for some peeled boiled shrimp and it did not disappoint. The GM Frankie is hard working. Professional and you can tell he loves his jobs. Staff was also friendly and efficient. Kudos to all!

The food is good but if you get the boiled seafood it's not worth the money. I've had much more other places for less. But the taste of food is decent. So I don't mind. Tried the lo boys for the first time, the bread is great and it's a lot of shrimp.

The food is absolutely excellent, but the customer service is very poor. My family ordered online (3 meals), and we were told the order would be ready in 15 minutes. Unfortunately it took 1 hour and 45 minutes. Some of the staff was very nonchalant and rude about the situation and unfortunately I won't be back to this location.

I've been following this restaurant on Instagram for a while now, marveling at the stunning photographs. My coworkers have been singing praises about the infamous crack sauce. So, when my friend suggested we visit Houston, I immediately suggested Lotus Seafood. The excitement in her eyes was unmistakable - it was a resounding yes! Parking was a bit challenging, typical of a location in a strip mall. Despite the packed restaurant, the line moved swiftly. We both opted for the loud pack at $13.99, which included potatoes, an egg roll, and extra crack sauce. Everything was excellent! My only critique is that it was a bit too spicy for my taste.

First time @ this location for a bday celebration. Got there around 3 & it wasn't crowded, but about 30 mins later the place got really crowded. You order @ the counter & they bring you your food. I got the loud pack with shrimp med spice. There were plenty of shrimp, but very little everything else. However it was good! The sauce named crack sauce really amped the flavor up. I also had their crawfish & they were delicious. My biggest complaint would be the baby plastic forks they give you to eat with. Overall I liked the vibe & I'll definitely be back for more crawfish while they're in season & I'll try something else on their menu.

First time time coming to lotus seafood... place is very clean the staff seems very attentive and friendly, came with a good friend of mine and we ate the spicy shrimp pasta with sausage.... The sausage is delicious and they don't skimp on the shrimp they give large positions.... The Alfredo sauce was a little bland and thin but the Parmesan cheese was good......... would definitely eat here again to try some of the other menu plates were around $16 a piece for the amount of food you get I would say it's a good value......

This was my first time trying Lotus Seafood after seeing the huge rave about it on social media, but maybe I shouldn't have picked this location because the food was definitely not tasting the way I imagined it would. This location is very beautiful in design and the staff is genuine but the food and the flavor was not there.

Love this location! The staff & the food are always amazing. The fried lobster and the cajun alfredo bowl are our favorites as well as the margaritas!

We ordered wings to go from Lotus seafood and they didn't disappoint! For one, for the price and size of their wings we were surprised! Most places are charged a ridiculous amount for the tiniest wings. I do wish that they were a bit crispier and less greasy. But that's just our taste. We ordered the lemon pepper and Cajun wings and both were very flavorful - we will definitely try them out again!

My daughter and her boyfriend was visiting and wanted to come here for her birthday. They have a happy hour so a lot of food items have discounted prices. They serve the food in togo containers which is very convenient so you dont have to do all the extra work to take home your leftovers. The staff greeted us from the door and were very hospitality. The food was fresh and hot. The only thing I would recommend is having real silverware or some decent crab mallets.

Finally made it out to try one of my bucket list places and I'm so glad I did!! The food was fresh and the crab was cooked perfectly! The meat came out of the shell almost effortlessly and the "crack" sauce was so addictive! The Xtra spicy flavor on the crab had the perfect kick! But they have up to XXX spicy as well! The service was quick and friendly! The artwork was SO cool on the walls that represented Houston & the H-Town culture! Definitely good vibes!

Lotus is a destination stop when I visit Houston. The food is always on point, plenty of flavor, hot and fresh. The staff is awesome. This was my homies first time dining here, so she had plenty of questions. The cashier was so patient and sweet even though there was a gang of people in line behind us. She apologized to the cashier for holding up the line, and she said, "Don't worry about those people. I'm here to help." Talk about hospitality and professionalism...I really wish I could remember her name. The daquaris are the best!!! The atmosphere is real chill, laid back, and relaxing. Yelpers, I will definitely recommend any Lotus location, but especially this one.

This was so much fun. Like who doesn't like this place? I have never been to a Lotus Seafood, so I didn't know what to expect. The aesthetic is like bar with a fake club vibe, when you're walking in the building wall/door is changing colors. Lots of tv and people dressing up and looking chic. Interesting enough, lots of young hip people and people getting ready to go out for a night to party. I think what makes this "trendy" place different from other trendy places was that it didn't have snobby vibes. The staff helped with the non snobby vibes. It was obvious I was never there before and the guy helped me with some suggestions recommending the catfish over the trout, because the trout had bones and for a first timer- that was a smart pick. Because you will DEVOUR all the food. On to that later. Staff was courteous, kind, got along well, and they were frequently bussing tables. Food...I had the fried catfish and shrimp. My husband had the fried oysters and catfish. The breading...it was like the pictures you see on breading boxes at the spice/herb aisle like at HEB, but with more flavor. It's perfectly breaded/covered with spices and cooked perfectly. I love the cajun flavors, spices, and the golden brown texture of the fried fish. The fried breading wasn't too thick and it let you enjoy the fish more. The fried oyster I tasted from my husband was okay, for a left over. The fries, and fish held up well as left overs the next day too. The tarter sauce was thick and creamy. I think it really paired well with the fish. I know there's po-boys and other stuff, but I'm really excited to just keep getting more of the fried food. With the happy ambience, the fun people watching, non snobby vibes, and good food, this is a great place to go eat or start your night out on the town before you go partying, clubbing, or even back at home to play dungeons and dragons. You do you. As for me, that was a great start to a low key evening, and I was the happier for it having gone to such a happy lively place with good food.

first off, the staff is amazing! shot out to joseph! he made the best margaritas! and their fully loaded loud pack??? this food is delicious!

the Lotus in Stafford never misses! the service is AMAZING! Joe at the bar is an all around good dude and i appreciate the fact he knows my order and my name. the team at Stafford hands down is the best. keep up the good work

Something about this location give me a nasty aftertaste everyone I eat it . I will not be returning. The restaurant is nice though .

This spot is definitely good but not quite 5 star material. My wife and I both had the Hotbox with shrimp n crab. The sauce is bomb but it doesn't penetrate the shrimp enough and my shrimp were over cooked. The crab was good when you dip it in the sauce but where low quality clusters honestly. The sausage and the potato were real good. The highlight was the fried lobster tail but for $30 each they better be good! The fried rice is an interesting side for a seafood spot but I'm not mad at it. The interior was cool but crowded and most ppl knew to order ahead and get the food to go. I'll go again but might just go with the fried lobster tail only next time. Oh, they got alcohol too. Always a plus!

The food was ordered via Doordash. It was hot and ready by the time I arrived. I didn't take any pictures, but I will next time. I cam say not all Lotus locations are created equal. I've visited Braeswood, Pearland, and Veterans. Braeswood was and is the best! So far so good with this new location because it's closer. Stay tuned!

My friend and I had a great experience! The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean and spacious. I tried the new cajun shrimp alfredo pasta and it was delicious, although I wish the sausage had been cut up and mixed in. My friend got the fully loaded loud pack and both of our meals came out hot and fresh. I didn't finish my drink but it was pretty good too.

First time trying this location! I love lotus! It's so good and the atmosphere is amazing! Definitely a little pricy but worth it! The crack sauce is always a must!

Man this place is pretty good the line movies Farley quick and the food was done pretty quick too. They definitely have a nice vibe going inside the place and had plenty of seating available. They give you so much rice with everything you get we definitely couldn't finish it. We were stuffed and feeling good when we left!

This is the second time that I have ordered from Lotus Seafood and received something that I did not order. I ordered six oysters with two extra shrimp and I got all shrimp. If they didn't have oysters, they should have notified me and let me make my own selection. I also ordered onion rings that were very greasy and very hard. I will never order from this place again, NOT EVER‼

This was my first time here and they didn't disappoint! I ordered a catfish poboy cause I was craving one. I like the way they build it. Instead of catfish fillets they use catfish "nuggets". This was not a small poboy by any means. It was packed with catfish, lettuce , tomatoes, I wanna say garlic butter and tartar sauce. You can taste the butter which has a good flavor when you take a solid bite. The seasoning of the catfish is delicious and juicy. Not dried out at all. The french bread was soft which is a plus for me. The fries were seasoned well. Very good flavor but to me fries are just fries, unless they're smothered then it's a whole other ball game. Customer service was great. I ordered to go so I'm not too sure about the ambience. I'll definitely be adding this to my lunch rotation. Give 'em a try.

Food was cold, shrimps were over cooked and the crap was cold and watery, they also rush me to leave at exactly 8pm at close which I order @ 7:30 pm .......bad bad bad not recommend it to no one

I ordered online and requested a the first time slot after opening. I arrive at the requested time, go to pick it up and they said it would be a few more minutes. The restaurant was totally dead aside from two women also with delayed pick up orders. After a10 minute wait, I checked and my sandwich still wasn't ready. The women were also still waiting. One other customer ordered during this period and was awaiting her food. After almost 20 minutes my food was finally ready. As for the sandwich, it was loaded with fried shrimp, so much they were falling out of the sandwich. The fry's weren't bad. The ambiance of the place was pretty cool though.

NO! And I mean absolutely NOT! They try to make their food look so good on pictures and in person, the seafood is scare and the seasoning is bland!! Save your money and go somewhere else! I was so disappointed that this place was less than subpar. The rice that came with my shrimp was supposed to be filled with crawfish and shrimp. The crawfish tails were as small as peas and I only saw about 5! What a rip off!

Loved the food but definitely to go. Place is busy and full. The food is very flavorful not too spicy. I think the price is fair.

Came here to grab dinner and I was not disappointed. With the help of staff, I ordered the "loud pack" plate which comes with shrimp, corn, potato, sausage and a boiled egg over seafood fried rice. The portion size is large and the food was fresh and delicious. I didn't dine in, but there are plenty of tables and there is a bar!

Delicious, we normally do the loaded box with extra spices. Always a ten! This time I tried the crawfish fried rice, I should gotten it with the extra spices, it wasn't bland but I wanted a little more flavor. Will definitely be back!

The food is so yummy. We had the baked potato , gumbo, and loaf pack. That was a lot of food for one person! The service is always good and fast! I love the Stafford new location as well. It's a real h town vibe.

Great food ! Have eaten here 3 times. Delicious gumbo and oysters. Service is a little slow but tolerable. Good location. And easy menu. Soda service excellent. Television screens all over the place. Sometimes crowded and noisy but tolerable. I'll come again.

Ordered twice from here and they food is way too salty. The poboy wasn't as good as original poboys I had. Their rice and seasoning are overpowering. Everything is highly salty.

Did someone say it's CRAWFISH SEASON???? I came here with a friend craving some crawfish and lucky for us they had plenty. When we arrived, we were fascinating to see the interior. It had some cool street art and really set a nice chill setting. The tables and environment was very clean. In addition, they also had a bar where people can get beer, cocktails, or daiquiri. As we're about to order, the staff was patient to help explain what is in each item since it was our first time. After some time of contemplating on what to order due to the large variety we finally decided to order 6 lbs of spicy crawfish and they were running a special for buy 5 lbs get one FREE. The crawfish was fresh, clean, and the flavors was spot on. The crawfish were pretty decent sized and rich in flavor. In addition, we ordered the loaded box. The loaded box came with shrimp and rice and this amazing Crack Sauce. The dish as a whole is what you can imagine. Shrimp and rice with a buttery sauce that ties everything together. From the food to the environment and the workers, we had a wonderful experience!

I went to this location for the first time December 21, 2022 and have been hooked ever since, I've tried the two other locations and had issues every single time. Since December I've placed To-go orders at least 1-2 times a week ! (The crack sauce is definitely giving CRACK haha!). I've never had any issues, the staff members have always been very nice and professional with me, UNTIL TODAY! I'm pregnant so often I crave a cluster with corn as a little snack. Last night I placed an order for 1 cluster (medium) with a corn on the the cob @9:18pm, I arrived @9:36pm was greeted by the young lady that's always there and she even joked and said "I knew this was your order I just knew" and we laughed.. of course she knew lol I'm there almost every week! We chitchat for a bit and I head out. Fast forward I'm finally home this is like 10:18pm crack and peel my eggs (I made my own because I found it pointless to buy some when I literally have an entire box in the fridge) and head upstairs to my room. I open my container and the first this I noticed was how overcooks the cluster was, I flipped it over and noticed a bunch of black eggs and black hair.. I immediately take pictures and video and call the store, of course no one answered since it was after 10pm. My sister throws away the food and leave to buy me something else to eat. Fast forward I call a speak to Manager Courtney, explain everything. She told me that I would have to bring back the food in order for them to remake it... I told her "well our valet trash is picked up @11pm every night, I hope you don't expect me to go fishing through the dumpster to find it. Her response was "well ma'am that is our policy. I said ok give me a sec.. I went to the website, Facebook and Instagram and couldn't find any kind of policy for customers to review. I said "ma'am do you have this posted anywhere at the business? Because there's no where for me to see that on any of your sites" she said "No we don't have it in writing it's just the policy that was given to us managers" I said "well that policy is 100% inadmissible, there's no proof of that policy and I have documentation of the parasitic eggs on my food" she replied "well ma'am that is our policy we need the food back in order for us to know you got the food from us, we can see the mistake and remake or refund it to you" I said "what sense does that make ? I have the transaction, receipt, time I document the incident and everything. There is NO PROOF of this policy, this is literally the FIRST TIME I've EVER had an issue at this establishment AND I even put in the notes PLEASE make sure everything is good, I am pregnant and was still given parasitic crab! The sauce was watery, the crab was dried out and thrown away!" I asked if there was an higher up I could speak to about the situation and she said no, all the managers will tell me the same. I said so this is a verbal policy given to management? She said "yes! If I were you would've kept the food and brought it back but that's just me". Dumbest policy I've ever heard of in my life especially since it's NOT POSTED for CUSTOMERS to see!! How TF was I supposed to know ? I'm not even from here, never had an issue... just stupid!

DO NOT COME HERE. Worst "restaurant" experience I've ever had. Overhyped for no reason the food was so mid, barely seasoned. I asked for spicy and they gave me mild (I think because it was not spicy at all but said on my ticket spicy), waited an hour and 15 minutes for 2 pounds of crawfish, had to eat alone my friend waited for his food an hour and 40 minutes. Ridiculous. Customer service was horrible, they threw my bag of crawfish infront of me and didn't ask if I needed anything else. I even tipped when I first ordered, but the guy working wasnt helpful at all. Ambiance was also horrible, people in there screaming and throwing food around the whole time. This sounds like im over exaggerating but I promise I will not be coming back. Nothing about my experience was good, and I have been looking forward to trying this place forever. 0/10 do not recommend!!!!!

A must try when you're in Houston! The sauce is perfect. You can't go wrong with the shrimp boil.

As soon as you get out the car you smell the delicious seafood. Reading previous reviews and was recommended by a friend to definitely place your order ahead of time. I place my order online, now looking at the menu, I will say they are on the pricey side. Now on to the order! I ordered a Fully Loaded Pack, which is 6 shrimp (1/2lb), and sausage, 1 corn and 1 potato except the forgot the potato. I ordered extra crack sauce to see what the hype was about. The sauce was good, but I thought we would get the little plastic container and not packets, it's not as much in the packets. But anywho, the corn was good not like some places that are over cooked and dry, it was nice and juicy. I got mild, but I realized I should of gotten the rice mild as well. Rice was a little to spicy for me. Shrimp and sausage were nicely seasoned, Cajun egg was a disappointment it tasted like a regular boiled egg with I added my own seasoning. The inside is nice and spacious, beverage selection other than pop, they had beer and lemonade. Overall all the food is as good.

Unable to eat the Cajun fries ,the fries were covered in grease.All the restaurant have to do is place the fries on napkins to soak up all that cooking oil.

I ordered two fried catfish and three shrimp with corn and potatoes extra. Instead of fries, I ordered Louisiana rice. I tried the rice first. You could taste the butter first. Not overpowering. The rice had shrimp and crawfish in it. Really tasty but it wasn't warm. The fish and shrimp are really good also. Love the potatoes and corn. I'll definitely be back.

The spicy lemon pepper wings have this magical touch of sweetness that leaves you wanting another wing! The fried trout & shrimp are fried to perfection. Crisp cornmeal better. The Fully Loaded is mouth watering delicious and the rice is outta the park good. Washed it down with a dirty strawberry frozen lemonade and Hurricane. Will be back!!!!

First off We go To these Places to Have a Great Experience right Well Tonight I Literally had Just that at this Location My Food that I ordered had to be sent back Ok I get it the Cashier that took my order Specifically said Well done on my ticket so I would pin point the Kitchen Sometimes we need a reminder but the Experience With My Customer Service Totally Made up For it all it was so Great from the young Girl that took My Order to the Bartender with a Ponytail to the Manager that I wanna say had glasses well he was the Manager on Duty Tonight to the young guys that Stayed Busy and Did Not Complain and seem irritated when I requested My Needs it was just Honestly Breathtaking I am so Big on Service Definitely Starting with My Food To Accomodating whatever it is wherever I am and Most of the time it is Piss Poor I Really appreciate this Stafford Location Tonight Honestly because I passed up the Pearland Location because the couple of times i Visited that one it was Horrible their Service is so Horrible anyway I can go on and on about the Appreciation of the Genuine atmosphere Tonight 1/27/2024 but I'll wrap it up again by saying Thanks to the Whole staff even the ones who did not Specifically wait on Me it all starts with Management on Down and I really appreciate once again Thanks!! ......Kajuana

I came to this location and had the BEST experience. The whole staff was great. The place was super clean and food was super good! I enjoyed this experience.

my sister and her husband came in town from Florida and they wanted seafood, we took them here and spent $160 between the four of us and i asked for 1 extra crack sauce and was denied, the acting manager told me that i would have to be charged but we all got seafood and only three crack sauces. This is telling me that they do not value their customers. I could see if we walked in and paid $20 for our food then i would expect that answer. i even frequent them during my lunch run.i'm very disappointed in this establishment and we will not be going back.

I super enjoyed the seafood here. It really tastes well and comes in a very short wait. The Associates are not the friendliest but the food makes up for all of that. The aesthetics are fun and indigenous to the surrounding area. I have come to this location now several and surely recommend dining here.

So glad the business has been brought to stafford. The food and drinks were excellent! The service was perfect. We sat at the bar so shout out to the bartenders. Imani was so sweet. They kept checking on us to make sure everything was good. Plenty of parking and nice crowd. I'll be back soon!

Was a little worried about all the negative reviews, but I had a pretty good experience. Go try and judge for yourself! I went on Wednesday evening, and it was not as crowded. I like that the restaurant is pretty spacious and the parking lot was in front so easy access. Got my meal pretty quickly and enjoyed it as well! I got the Louisiana Rub wings, but I like the Lemon Pepper ones that my friend got. I knew the shrimp was one of the popular orders, so I got the extra spicy peeled shrimp and yup, it was pretty good indeed! I was not too impressed with the fries as it was a bit soggy with the sauce on it, but I give them credit for being different. The crack sauce is not what it is all cracked up to be for me. I thought it was just ok, but I will sure get the wings and shrimp again!

I ordered 1lb of shrimp, corn, sausage, and potatoes. The potatoes were hard. The corn was over boiled. The flavor wasn't spicy for a medium and they did not give me peeled shrimp. If you pay more for peeled shrimp you would expect to receive it. In the future I will go to the original location.

We really didn't like the flavor of the food. We were hoping to at least like it but this was mostly a one and done for us. First off the buffalo chicken wings tasted...weird. Again the actual chicken wings were good but the buffalo sauce they use is not great. Don't forget to add ranch which is extra because they don't come with any dips. The catfish and crawfish PO boy was dry to say the least and bland. Co worker decided to ask for some tarter sauce to add but decided not to since they also charged for that. Which is fine but these are common dressings like ketchup that are free pretty much every where. Cajun fries were good. Fried rice was ok too but didn't have that cajun flavor. Overall we were disappointed here.

Been a loyal Lotus customer since forever so when I heard about this new location I had to visit even though it was far lol. The location is big with indoor and outdoor seating. I love all the Houston murals they have on the walls. They do happy hour Monday-Friday 4-7 and the daiquiris start at $5 plus they have boil food specials. But hunny I came for the baked potato!! I had been seeing pictures and videos of it for a few months so I was on a mission. Thankfully that potato lived up to my expectations and more the only downside is how greasy it can get I assume from the crack sauce and butter used on the potato. 10/10 recommend you go here at least once if you're a lotus lover
