I tried they beef and shrimp yakimen and they put deli sandwich meat roast beef in my yakimen without disclosing it would be in there. I would have never order that ! It was enclosed in a bag tied up and hot so i waited until i got to open it. I was mad but didnt want to come way back from slidell to new orleans because I would have never brought that !They know new orleans people do not put roast beef in yakimen! I wasted my money couldnt even eat it!

Large portions for the price. Fish was ok but fried harder than my liking. Good value for the money spent to be honest. Most orders I heard were for the wings.

They have what's referred to as 2 for 6 "fish sandwich" which comes off more like a breaded fish skin sandwich. Where's the fish? So being disappointed I thought maybe I'll try the fish " poor-boy" sandwich. No improvement. I could go on, but suffice it to say, avoid this place and skip a meal if you must. You will feel much worse having eaten here.

Best food and service. I wish they had additional locations so I didn’t have to travel as far for their food.

Me and my mom tried this place for the first time last week and the food was very good 🤤. I had the shrimp platter which came with jumbo shrimp and plenty of fries. My mama also had the same thing and we both enjoyed it. Prices are very reasonable so if you're looking for something affordable and good to eat I highly recommend Louie's Kitchen 💯

This is the best fried chicken spot with great red beans in the east.

Got some “orange chicken” and it was terrible. It was so slimy and the chicken was dark. DO. NOT. PURCHASE. Waste of money and time if I wanted slop I would go eat out the canal. I’m only writing a review because I couldn’t do anything the next day because my stomach was hurting so much. Not sure if it was food poisoning or what but it’s nasty. Also real smart idea to only have one window open when the kids from across the street get out of school it’s chaos. You can’t even get to the window nobody knows their order and the line is a mess, they vale and do God knows what over there it’s ridiculous. Chickens good though maybe consider a order window and pick up window.

The food is great not a long wait time always fresh nobody has an attitude. They move really fast like really fast and the people are just good at the job.

Updating rather quick but it's because I've returned! Left my wallet at work but luckily they accept Apple Pay! Added bonus.

The service here is so fast and the food comes out hot and delicious! I recommend the shrimp pasta with the garlic bread on the side. We also got the shrimp po boy and a Philly cheesecake po boy. We got chicken and a fried rice combo. The fried chicken was crispy and flavored. The shrimp pasta was creamy with angel hair pasta. The restaurant is a drive through style or you can go up to the counter and order. I would recommend this for anyone for a quick bite.

A little gem in the East and you don't have to get out of the car because it is drive thru! They have plenty of combo meals where you can get sandwiches on bun or as a poboy with fries, that are soo goood, and a fountain drink. They also have some of the best chicken and fried fish in the city and that are great to order for parties and events. The owners are so nice and very generous with their portions. They use to be Julie's Kitchen and then Kyzo's, but they are now Louie's. If you are in the East I highly suggest you to give them a try. Until we meet again, probably tomorrow, lol!

Delicious high quality food. Clean atmosphere. Convenient drive thru. I ordered the Fried Chops and Fries ($9.99) as well as the 10 Piece Wings and Fries (10.99). I also had an order of Shrimp Fried Rice as well. A nice lil cup for $4, and it was delicious as well. The portions and pricing alone are enough to make me come back, but the service was really quick and friendly. I didn't know what to do when the guy opened the window with a smile on his face. We are in New Orleans East yall, a smile in the food industry is quite rare. I will most certainly be returning to this establishment in the near future.

This place is a hidden gem in New Orleans East. Tasty food at reasonable prices. I get a meal from here at least once a week. I haven't had any food from here that I didn't enjoy but my absolute favorite is the PoBoy cheeseburger dressed. It's so filling and good for only $6! You get 2 patties on 12 inch poboy bread, you can't bet that. Customer service is always top notch and I love that they have a drive through so I never have to get out my car. They have a wide variety of food and desserts. They even have snow balls. Located on Read Blvd in New Orleans East.

The chicken was refried and hard, the fries and bread was good. Fish was too thin but the shrimps was delicious

Ok, so I'm trying to figure out how a 6'3 265 pound heterosexual, straight as an arrow black guy could be in love with the little Vietnamese guy at the Drive-Thru at Julie's Kitchen. Maybe, let's call it a man crush and keep down confusion. That said the guy in the window is 3 for 3 on suggestions from the Menu. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The Hot Sausage Po-Boy was served on Dong Phuong French bread. What's that you ask? Only, possibly the best all around Bakery in the city. Yes, they are that good. Don't believe me, check out how many times I've checked in there. Enough said. The wings are very good and cooked to order. A little spicy is just what it needed and they filled the order perfectly. 3rd time was the cheese burger which again, outstanding. The prices are very reasonable and the amount of food is more than generous. I can see me here again. SOOOOONNN.

I've seen this place so many times but only came by when I started working in this area. I ordered a shrimp on bun combo. It was a pretty big bun and plenty of shrimp. It's a drive thru with a walk up as well and it's fast fast food. Will definitely be back very soon to try the wings and burgers.

Today I tried their red beans and rice plate, and the beans tasted spoiled and sour. The chicken was great. I told them they were sour; they wanted me to bring the plate back. I did, but they give me the same sour beans again. Julie will not refund for the beans, and this is not the first time. It's like the third time this happens. I recommend not trying their red beans plate. Unless it a Monday, lol. The other dishes are great, but I had to review because I'm so very disappointed.

They were very professional and very kind! I needed a last minute wing order for a baby shower and they were able to make it happen for the time I needed it! Thank you all so much. And yessssssss the chicken wings were absolutely delicious and fresh!!

This isn't the best shrimp poboy in town, but it is a solid effort and a great deal for $8 (poboy, fry and drink). The workers are super friendly. Worth a try if you are in the area and are in need of something to eat.

Hands down the best hot sausage shrimp fried rice and boneless chicken in town! Gumbo lovers, definitely order a large! So much flavor and delicious! What gumbo has whole crab?! So good. Other items I've tried: Shrimp poboy - shrimp overload! Yum! Chicken tenders - perfect with some French fries. Hot wings - the right kind of kick. Catfish plate - pass me the tartar sauce. Mmm!

I don't know of anywhere in the entirety of Orleans Parish where you can get an overloaded small shrimp poboy and fries for $4.99. Hell, you can't get a meal at McDonald's for that price anymore. They also serve some delicious fried rice and oysters too. In fact, everything I've tried here is pretty darn good. They are also super quick with their orders. This review is making me hungry. Excuse the shortness of it while I go get me a shrimp poboy from here.

I never noticed this little place on Read until my mother suggested it to me one day. I ordered the hot sausage on French and when I tell you omg I was in love at first bite. The sandwich was so good and tasty. So, I decided to go back and this time I order a cheeseburger with cheese fries omg again I fell in love. Now everytime I go there I order the cheeseburger it's my favorite. I also have my bestfriend hooked on them also he loves their red beans and chicken fingers. He said bestfriend I don't know what grandpa do to that food in the kitchen but I love him.

I went here based on the good reviews :/ , yelp is usually accurate, but idk about this one. I went on two separate occasions. On the first visit, I ordered a cheeseburger combo. Burger was too sloppy for my liking. The fries were BORING , so I gave them to my dogs, and the cold drink was flat! Super disappointing. Today I decided to give them another try... I ordered a shrimp po boy. No fries or drink lol. The bread was hard and the shrimp were alright. Definitely nothing to brag about. I ended up just eating the shrimp and throwing away everything else. Luckily their prices are pretty decent, but I still feel like I wasted my money. I don't think I'll be visiting this place ever again.

Great food at great prices. I recommend this place to many people. Give the oyster and shrimp platter a try and it will exceed your expectations of what a real seafood platter should be

Came here to a drive-thru. I got the julies wing special to go. it came with chicken wings, a buttered bread, and your choice of fries or shrimp fried rice!! Waited at the window only 3 minutes to get the order. It was hot and ready, not lukewarm or anything. I should have got the shrimp fried rice. It's good and better than any fastfood joint and remind you there's a drive-thru for your convenience.

Drive thru poboys wings etc. who can beat that? Will always support this place! And great food of course!

Delicious seafood, poboys, chicken, and other items can all be bought at Julie's Kitchen. There is a drive thru as well as a walk - up area to order food. This restaurant is consistent with great prices and a blessing when in the mood for a good cheap meal.
