We ordered the ‘Terre et Mer’ land meets sea, it’s very romantic that it delights me. They even applied the concept to how they display the setting; The metal frame and the stones on top of the food. The presentation really screams 5 star hotel. Although some of the dessert are too sour or salty for me. It has a strong taste for my normal afternoon tea order. And after I do the research it seems like it’s not a Japanese chef who created the recipe. Thus I assume the surprise of unusual taste? It was definitely refreshing, though I am not sure if I can say I like it. The most stand out thing from this experience was the staffs’ service. They are utterly friendly. I would rate 6 or 7 out of 5 for just that. They are so nice that they even make gentle jokes, encourage you to order as much tea as you can, offers you to take pictures right after the food has arrived, very generous compare to other lounges. My husband was very keen to take pictures as it has a nice Tokyo city skyscraper, park and the palace view, and the staff even suggested and brought him to the veranda. I would come back just for the view and the customer service. The food is 4.3/5 from me. So it’s a no harm foul!

A lovely stop after visiting the Eastern Gardens of the Imperial Palace. Located on the 6th floor, they have outside seating overlooking the gardens and the skyline. A little on the pricey side but expected for the view, excellent service and quality of drinks and food. Had a “Blooming” sake drink with yuzu liquer and their 6 item Japanese appetizer. Amazing flavors enjoyed to match the lovely view. Thank you to my food server and to Makato Kawabe, the Supervisor who kindly explained the dishes and took my pictures as well.

Affordable afternoon tea at around 4,000 yen per head. Served between 2 and 4 pm. Reserving in advance recommended. Stunning view of the Palace Gardens.

Yelp
This is a very nice lounge at the Palace Hotel. On a nice night you can also grab a seat outside! The cocktail menu is varied and delicious. The Japanese Old Fashioned was one of my favorites.

Yelp
Lovely bar for a nice cocktail at the Tokyo Palace Hotel. Their menu is fairly extensive and great views of the Imperial Palace from across the moat. The outdoor terrace would be beautiful in the summer. Not tried the food but for ambience, it gets my vote !
