I was really looking forward to the chili cheese fries, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The chili tasted like canned chili, topped with a slice of American cheese, and my husband even saw the staff microwave the food. If I were there, I would’ve said, “You know what, I don’t want the chili cheese fries—I can just open a can at home and pour it over frozen fries I put in the air fryer.” The burger was just a frozen patty with no flavor or care—basically the same as McDonald’s or Carl’s Jr. The only thing that was decent was the milkshake.
We ordered two cheeseburgers, an order of chili cheese fries, and a small order of fries, small shake and it cost $36. That’s a complete waste for this place. I had high hopes because their other location in Citrus Heights is much better, but it seems like, many places these days have stopped caring and are just settling for the bare minimum. (Although who knows both like locations could be like this now… it’s been about 10 years since I even visited their other one)
As a chef, it’s especially discouraging when you don’t feel like cooking at home and can’t even get a decent burger and chili cheese fries out. Maybe it’s the area, but I cannot recommend this location.
