Love & Cookies - South Lamar

Loved the warm welcome I got as I walked in! The inside space was whimsical and cute. As a first timer the ladies did a great job having patience with me and answering my questions. They had a few gluten free choices as well. 🍪🍪🍪🍪

This place just opened up off of S Lamar and it’s a great spot to grab a sweet treat! Very cute interior with a pink Parisian cafe vibe, and an excellent selection of desserts. We got three different cookies here and each one was delicious and unique- the Lavender Lemon was my favorite (but btw to the business owners- you spelled Lavender wrong!)

as soon as we came in we were greeted by the lovely staff, we ordered and immediately got our cookies packaged up & ready to go. i was eyeballing the ice cream & the sweet employee offered me some samples of it so of course i had to get ice cream. i definitely recommend the cinnamon roll ice cream & the nutella filled cookie, i mean come on how could anyone mess up a nutella cookie?

Love and Cookies did the most amazing job on my custom birthday cake! Exceeded expectations and tastes delicious!

It is very nice to have a cookie shop that not only offers regular cookies, but cookie pie by the slice and a variety of frozen cookie dough by the bag! So far, I have tried the lemon lavender and the CharlieCash cookies and both were delicious. The staff has been pleasant each time I have been there. Having a pleasant staff as well as a variety of yummy cookies ensures that I will definitely be back.

The cookie cake is probably the best thing I’ve ever tasted and that’s crazy because I have been a loyal customer of Haley’s cakes and cookies across the street for years. love & cookies is amazing. So soft. Perfect consistency. The buttercream is authentic, traditional, not crunchy and synthetic tasting. I am amazed. Wish I didn’t discover them cause now I’ll be eating more cookies.

We took a weekend trip to Austin, this place was on our list of things to do. You can’t go wrong, the service was amazing and the cookies were to die for. We got chocolate chip and a double chocolate. They were both so good! Highly recommend!

I’d give Love & Cookies a million stars if I could! I’m sometimes skeptical of spots with a lot of hype but this place surpasses any and all hype! It’s adorable and very “insta-worthy” but more than that, the cookies and the latte I had were some of the best I’ve ever had. EVER. The owner and the people working were SO kind to us and made my little girls feel incredibly special. A million stars, y’all. Go support this sweet spot so it’s around for a long, long time. 💕

Love & Cookies is the perfect combination of sweet treats and the color pink. I had the Arwyn (chocolate chunk, caramel, pretzel) and the Carlyle (rainbow sprinkle sugar cookie). I would have liked for the pretzel to have enhanced the flavor with a contrast of saltiness but the sugar rush of the Carlyle is exactly what I was craving during this visit. It reminded me of the pink frosting cookie from Crumbl as far as being simple yet full of sugary deliciousness. The cookies were served in a small white box nestled in heart printed tissue paper. Very cute. Service was quick and polite. The atmosphere was clean with several photo ops. They had steady business on the early Saturday evening I visited and most people took their treats to go but I ate most of mine inside the location and took what I didn't finish to go. Would return!

I'm a cookie nut - love to bake them, love to buy them. I've tried a number of cookie places in Austin over the years and this one is the best I've discovered so far (it helps that Iive nearby). The lavender-lemon cookie is my favorite, but the snickerdoodle comes close - tastes just like the ones I learned to bake when I was a kid and have baked over the years for my own children. The cookies with the sprinkles have a wonderful, unusual flavor and even their chocolate chip cookies are better than average. Frozen dough balls are available for purchase (and also at HEB, for less dinero!) and they also have delicious hard-scoop ice cream. But their cookies are the stars! They cost a little less when you buy six. I'll still bake my own, but this will be my go-to when I want to purchase great retail cookies.

I picked up four cookies the other day in a too good to go order (great deal btw!). The service was super quick and friendly, and the store itself is very vibrant and inviting. They had soooo many different and inventive types of cookies I'm sure anyone could find something to like. They also have frozen cookie dough and cookies in brownie and cake forms! I liked each of the cookies I got, they were each very substantial, too. My favorite was probably an oatmeal one with chocolate and coconut (I think). Would definitely go back if passing by and craving a cookie or two!

Went to Love and Cookies off south Lamar for the first time. It was the end of the day. They still had quite a few cookies left. The store was cute and the girl at the counter was friendly: they had a cooler in the dining area where you could purchase their dough. The cookies were alright. The sugar with sprinkles was very sweet with its white chips in it. My fave was the one with Nutella. The classic chocolate chip used chocolate discs instead of chips or chunks. Worth checking out for their variety!

I really wanted something sweet and I've seen this new spot on SLamar all over Instagram so figured today was a good day to check it out. Was craving ice cream and had to obviously try one of their cookies. My husband and I opted to share a small caramel pretzel ice cream that was amazing! It tasted like a delicious caramel latte and we also got one of the sugar bomb cookie slices covered in mounds of frosting. The frosted cookie was a LOT. The cookie itself was great - loaded with chocolate chips and they did not hold back with the buttercream frosting on top. The frosting maybe made it too sickly sweet (my husband was NOT a fan at all - hence the 4*) but if you love cookie cakes this is definitely a top choice. I'd be curious to try their other cookie offerings since the base of the cookie slice was good, albeit hidden under the frosting. There were quite a few parking spots when we went but it's not a huge lot so I can imagine if it's busy parking may be challenging to secure (but that's everywhere on SLamar). The shop itself was very cute - very pink. The staff were very friendly, offering samples of the ice cream if you were trying to decide between various flavors. Overall, if you're itching for a sugar hit this will absolutely knock you out.

Love all the pink!!!!! Super cute spot. I was so excited when I heard about Love & Cookies opening up a spot on South Lamar, I've already been twice!! My favorite is the lemon lavender! The lemon frosting on it is to die for!!!! Chocolate chip and Nutella are good as well. Excited to come back! :)

If there's one thing that Austin is lacking, it's dessert spots. This place is helping to fill that void. Fantastic cookie/baked goods options and an array of ice cream flavors. The interior is very IG friendly and the staff was top notch. Highly recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth.

I have been passing this location for the past couple of years waiting for the day that Nada Moo would open back up. Unfortunately, that did not happen but I got something just as great, cookies! Because I am constantly looking at this building, I was one of the first people to notice that Love & Cookies was taking over (they painted the building lol) so I went as soon as I knew they were open. I've been here twice and so far I've tried a variety of flavors including Charlie Cash (chocolate chip), Uncle TX (oreos + chocolate chip), Audrey (lemon lavender), and Papa Dawg among others. I'd HIGHLY recommend Audrey and Charlie Cash but those are literally my go-to flavors for all desserts so I'm a little biased. I can't wait to come back and try more cookies and check out their ice cream.

Very friendly staff and helpful, very clean seating area. Grab ice cream, cookie cake, snickerdoodle and cup of coffee all taste delicious.

My fiancé brought me back one of their cookies, and it was delicious! They had a whole bunch of icing on top of this chocolate chip cookie, and it was very good! The chocolate chip cookie beneath the icing was solid too. I would have their desserts again.

Such a cute spot! Cookies are my favorite dessert so I was excited to hear about a fun new cookie spot opening up. They had samples of their Audrey (lemon lavender cookie) for us to try. I also tasted their birthday cake ice cream from Howdy. They both were perfectly sweet and I appreciate being able to taste a few of their options. I got the Betty Jean which has chocolate chips, vanilla chips, and pecans. The cookies had a nice gentle crunch on the edges but were soft yet stiff on the inside. So so delicious!

Stopped in for a dozen cookies yesterday to bring to a Derby party. As soon as I pulled them out, the hostess was so excited. I am new to Austin so didn't know these are a true local favorite. I can absolutely see why. I loooooove a slightly underbaked in the middle cookie. So good! I will be back soon to get more for any social event (or simply cause I want one!). I should have taken a pic but forgot. Cookies and giant and absolutely worth the price.

Such a cute place with a great variety of treats and friendly staff. We enjoyed ice cream and cookies in the store and got some graduation cookies as a gift.

I don't typically write reviews but I ordered for delivery on DoorDash, and when I called to confirm delivery, the person who answered the phone was so kind and helpful! Everything is delicious and they even wrote a handwritten note thanking me for my service and support for their business!! Definitely ordering again
