Open until 2 a.m., choose from a selection of loaded pies such as the Stankonia, with anchovies, mozzarella, roasted garlic, Chevre, and caramelized onions. Or go for the Wake and Bake, a stacked breakfast-inspired pie with bacon, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, crispy hash browns, sunny-side up eggs, green onions, fresh cracked black pepper, and an Alredope sauce. Google
Awesome pizza and a great selection of booze to compliment it. May be the best crust in all the city. The sauce and cheese leave a bit to be desired flavor-wise, but the crust is phenomenal and carries the pies. The pub is dark and plays cool music. There is a small arcade area and plenty of intimate tables. Great date night spot before, after or during a bar crawl! We'll be back.

Google
They sell pizza by the slice: cheese, pepperoni, & whatever the special of the day is, you can’t add additional toppings so I got a medium size pizza for myself. The pizza was so good, the drinks are strong, and the atmosphere is a chill vibe. I’ll be back!

Google
Counting myself hella-lucky... We live just a few blocks away from the best Pizza restaurant in Midtown! Love Buzz Pizza and Pub is on the top of the Houston Chronicle's best pizza restaurants list for a reason. Some might even say that the pizza is "chronic"!!! (Bad joke, that you may only get if you have visited this place). Since grading pizza is so subjective I have applied a little structure to my review that helps YOU make up your own mind about this establishment. The grading is 1-5... with 5 being the best or most. Crust Thickness - 2 moderately thin, but perfect crust. This is the thickness that I like the most. Crust Flavor - 5, and that first bite was amazing.. Absolutely the tastiest bake with perfect shape and edge.. Cheese amount and elasticity - 5 had proper amout of stretch and well proportioned Topping quantity - 5 excellent quantity and dispersion. I had the Supreme and will forever compare all pizzas to this one!! The sausage and the peppers were sooo good. Sauce Quantity - 3 perfect for coverage and just enough for what I like.. again, not too much, and not too little.. just right. Sauce Flavor - 5 very nice and with some added spices shaken on top to enhance the flavor Atmosphere Cleanliness - 5 Very clean and set up nicely for simple pub atmosphere. Good music and well organized so that you have space to yourself. The lighting was dark and perfect for a pizza pub Atmosphere noise level - 5 very easy to have a conversation Day After - 5 it kept well and was still just as amazing. Perfect second day fold. Comments: overall I grade Love Buzz at a solid 5. Coupled with the perfect portion of garlic knots and cocktails we had, I am going back! The Pizza was very good, and worthy of return visits as well as take-out. The support they show to worthy causes is notable. Thank you for supporting a cannabis friendly narrative and encouraging donations to charities supporting women.

Went here for Valentine's Day. I mean with love in the name and we both love pizza?? It was meant to be. In all honesty, I think my girl was surprised I had this place in my back pocket. If you like your everyday norm pizza or your adventurous about your pizza, either way. You should come here. The only down fall is that they need better parking. If you can't find a spot here by, you might have to park a lil bit out of your way. But other then that. Absolutely love it here and we plan on making this our Valentine's Day spot. So see you next year!! 😉 oh and sorry for the tip, she was gonna tip out of hand but didn't have anything and I didn't have much and I already wrote "tip on the table" So double the tip next year!! 😅

Google
Great Pizza and good option for late dinner. Bar on site. Got the jumbo cheese slice. They need more veggie options. Outdoor, dog friendly, patio available at the front.

Google
Pizza was phenomenal and won the third round of our Tour De Pizza. Small interior but pizza came out hot and fresh. Service was average, got there close to opening so it wasn’t crowded. It’s a good za.

Google
This place has good pizza but it’s way overpriced. I ordered a large 4 cheese pizza with pepperoni and it came out to be almost $30. The pizza was good though. However, the salad was an even bigger ripoff. Its 10 for the salad and $6 for roasted chicken added to it. I added a picture of the salad I got. The picture is also misleading because it appears to show that they gave me a full side section of chicken. But there’s lettuce underneath it to prop it up. The pizza and salad came out to $50

Yelp
Honestly surprised! They aim for a late-night stoner vibe here so I figured the pizza might just be good enough for that (I've had my share of drunk pizza slices and know how low your standards can drop). BUT! I actually really enjoyed their pizza. Scarfed it down, to be exact. We ordered a Montrosaurus Rex and MF Shrooms. Both were delicious but I was really into the M-Rex. Generous with the meat. The Italian sausage was excellent. I like how thin the crust was. I didn't feel like a beached whale after eating it. In an alternate reality (where I'm not a pregnant stay-at-home mom who has been sober for years), I would totally stumble in here late night (they're open until 2am) and grab a slice to soak up the booze in my belly! But since I'm not, I'll just stick to getting take-out at 5pm. Ultimately -- a crust that's nice and thin with delicious toppings. Ample choices on the menu as well. Divey atmosphere with retro games plus cool decor. Whether you're popping in for a drink/slice or just picking up a pizza box or two, this is a great option for pizza in the neighborhood.

Yelp
They decided to close early..... on a Saturday. I passed up multiple spots to come here. So I'm very disappointed

Sanaa C.

Yelp
Came here for late night munchies when everything else was closed. We did take out. Pizza was not good. The garlic knots however, were AMAZING! Ask for extra sauce to dip. I literally dream about these. The atmosphere reminds me of a dive bar. Loud music, darkish (but not in a classy way). They also have some games to play, which is nice. Will probably come back for the knots.

Yelp
Few things in life are more satisfying than late night pizza after bar hopping. Love Buzz is open late on the weekends, and fits the bill if you ever have the late night munchies and in the Montrose area. The pizza here is underrated. It's not your fancy schmancy pizza like Pizaro's or Gypsy Poet...and it may not get the press of newer places like Nonnos or Betelgeuse, but Love Buzz has pretty darn good pizza - and being open late night makes it taste even better! They have a full bar and cool retro games, which is an added bonus. People in the bar have always been nice. They have a cool patio you can people watch on Westheimer too. A great place to start or finish your night in the neighborhood!

Kristin A.

Yelp
Did they change their pizza recipe? I remember it being better. Love that they're open late though.

Clara H.

Yelp
Hubby got out super late for our anniversary so we didn't do our fancy dinner, we did a late night pizza and drinks night here and we LOVED it. The custom pizza I ordered was super expensive and I would never spend that much on a pizza but it was a special occasion and it was freaking amazing, my mouth is watering right now as I type this lol but it was amazing! Everything was delicious even the drinks and the mood was chill casual fun.

Caim S.

Yelp
Eclectic in design and in menu options, Love Buzz offered $5 "Pizza of the Week (slice)" specialists, as well as $4 cheese slices (and $5 pepperoni slices). The pepperoni pizza was not my favorite mainly b/c of the hard crust, but I am happy that I gave the Potent Purple Punch (tequila, elderberry, lemon, simple syrup) a try during Happy Hour (half off from 4pm - 7pm). The parking is extremely limited, so I'd recommend ride-sharing, if possible. If I were to return, I'd want to try some of the more niche pizza options and would be curious to know their sizes since the slices weren't the most generous....

Yelp
5pm? 9pm? 1am? Get pizza here. This is the cutest and best pizza spot in HTX. Have a drink and sit at the bar and just take in the scenery of all the cute knick-knacks and easter eggs around. The music here is also soooo good and good old school rap. Bartender knows every word to the songs, love it. He is really cool and will make you a great drink. Go in the bathroom, (have fun finding which gender is which) and read every single persons life spilled in ink around the walls. Seriously check this place out for late night delicious pizza and a nightcap before you head home w friends or a date! P.s. - Get the secret slice (this month was a spicy honey type pizza, so mf good) and if you want a full pie, the Kushmaster forsure and add ricotta if you like it cheesy, like I do.

Nick R.

Yelp
For a big city, Houston really lacks a great variety of late night eats. Do a Google search, and places that close at 11pm are considered late night. Located at a very convenient walking distance from Numbers and Avant Garden,Love Buzz does things right, with a 2am closing time. The pizza is fantastic (been there twice and their Summer Special Pizza is fantastic). In addition to some decent draft selections (the carry Brash, which pleased me greatly), they have some decent glass bottled bev selections as well (the Mexican Squirt, like Mexican Coke, is made with real cane sugar).

James L.

Yelp
The bartender is not good- he litterly does not talk. Just grabs and put things down angrily. The Pizza is amazing. They received 5-Stars alone for that.

Ricky S.

Yelp
Terrible pizza waited 15-20 min for the back of the house dude to drop 2 ice cold slices of pizza in front of my wife and I's face then walk away with out a word. Let the bartender know the pizza was cold and waited another 5 minutes for them to bring back the same bitten pizza reheated and now rubbery and hot :). They didn't seem to really give a crap about the customers or the food coming out and we're more worried about chatting with their friends at the bar. 10/10 don't recommend paying $14~ for 2 slices of dry reheated pizza. Franks and even pepperonis down the street is bomb

Angel C.

Yelp
You can have a drink and eat a slice, but just to let you know is not worth it. Be ready to get the thinnest pizzas ever. Is like a tortilla slice thin. Not worth the 4 dollars per slice. They might say yeah is because the style of the pizza, b shit. 2 stars too much.

Nicolas H.

Yelp
The bartender and maybe manager is super rude. I forgot his name but he was very sassy for no reason. Then later there was a fight between the patron and one of the servers. Pizza is good but the service is really bringing this place down. We used to love coming here but after a bad last three visits due to management we won't be going back. If I were the owner I'd fire the bartender as he seems to be a big problem.

Marcos F.

Yelp
Beautiful vibe and prompt service. Thanks Bryce! The pizza here is creative and delicious .. thank you for the experience!

Tiaira S.

Yelp
Literally had the worst service I came in and sat at the bar the bartender ignored me for about 8 minutes. Two other people came up to the bar and he immediately started helping them. I wanted to order more food but couldn't bc he literally never even looked at me once. He was talking to his coworker who was off shift sitting at the bar talking about "sucking d*ck" like cmon now. Be so for real. I just closed out and left didn't even want to tip bc that was the absolute worst service I've ever had. I was in my work uniform it's obvious that I'm in the restaurant industry and would've tipped well if he even seemed to care a little bit. Literally ruined my night.

Dominic L.

Yelp
Of all the 1:30 am pizzas I've had in my life(and it's quite a few) love buzz produced the most quality driven, taste emboldened experience that one could want. While waiting I had a slice and martini , both were stellar. The price ,albeit was a little steep but worth every penny. Ambience : it's fun and lively , ideal for dates , good eats and a night of debauchery and good fun. Will go again! 4.5/5

Luna Q.

Yelp
Pizza was delicious! The cheese was perfect ratio to bread. Had a good time!! I'll have to come back to try other pizzas.

Moira B.

Yelp
Swung by here for happy hour (4p - 7p) the other night. My husband was OBSESSED with the pizza. We only had the plain and pepperoni because they were on special for HH but he loved the crispy bottom and pizza that didn't flop over when you pick it up. We also had draft beers which were $1 off. They were out of both of the ones that we had wanted to try but the bartender was able to give us recommendations and they had lots of bottles and cans. We sat inside which had a dive bar/90's theme and was cute. They also have two large patios. We'll need to go back to try some of the whole pizzas!

Mariana M.

Yelp
Pretty good pizza. Very fresh and tasty. A bit overpriced and doesn't stand out too much for the price but it's a good solid pizza place. Cheese sticks were average. Nothing fancy or extravagant but a nice low key place to hang out. Service is order at the bar but was quick specially considering only one guy working the bar and pizza orders.

Steven S.

Yelp
So I've been here so many times and love this little cute house but today (Thursday around midnight) was bad. The bartender you order form seemed like he didn't wanna be here which is weird because normally they are nice and then i found a hair in my first slice of pizza told the person and they gave me another pizza that was burnt af. So disappointed because this was one of my fav spots

Dominic O.

Yelp
This place was completely disgusting! I ordered this food and it came cold, stale, dry, and just overall taste was atrocious. Somebody at this hotel suggested this place and I regret it. They gave us old pizzas! This place is horrible it should be illegal to eat here!

Ray S.

Yelp
This is the kind of pizza for people who like thin-ish, not over topped with toppings pizza. A lot places put so much toppings on that you can no longer distinguish flavors. These pizzas are unique and delicious.

Tiffany S.

Yelp
When you order a pizza for delivery, you have to ask yourself if this pie is worth $40 (after tip). In the case of the Wake and Bake, yes it is. For a cheaper option, sit inside and get a slice and a beer (and a couple slides to go) for under $20.

Patty C.

Yelp
Overpriced pizza, barely existent parking, and just overall mediocre experience. Okay for a late night drunk bite, but there are better options. It sits right on Westheimer, so you to see a lot if you sit on the patio facing the road. Order by the slice, a medium, or a large size. The crust is nice and thin. At least they have some very creative combinations. Bar service only.

Jordan S.

Yelp
Just moved to Houston and was brought here by some people I just met. I ordered the garlic "knots" and a cheese pizza. Both were amazing and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be coming back

Lara M.

Yelp
The ambiance is very chill. Unique and funny pizzas named after the great city and culture of houston rap The food is amazing from appetizers to dessert. I've always gone in and ordered to go at the bar and the staff is friendly and FAST

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Great experience! Eclectic, casual little pizza joint with good service, food, and atmosphere. We split a Kona pizza (delicious) and Caesar salad (fresh and delicious). I also ordered a purple punch which the bartender (excellent service) made it well worth my while. The music got a little loud at certain moments and the game room in the back added some extra noise, but overall the atmosphere was very comfortable and airy. The bus person also demonstrated excellent service. Soap was nearly out in restrooms. Had I not felt like i was trying to compete with the music to talk and better soap supply in restroom, i would have easily given five stars. I would definitely return to this place to enjoy pizza, salad and a cocktail again!

Courtney E.

Yelp
So much disappointment from Love Buzz after we were asked to leave because we asked for Mexican beers. We were hoping to take my sister out for a treat for her birthday. A pizza shop in Montrose sounded like the perfect idea. We had never been and the photos and menu looked great. Our group consisted of three 21+, an 18 year old, a 14 year old, and a 2 year old. We walked up to the bar and asked for the menu and began ordering drinks. We received one beer, but when my husband asked for the beer selection he was given a judgemental look. He asked for Bud Light. He was told they didn't have it. He asked "Do you have any Mexican beers? Modelo, Corona, Dos Equis?" Again he was curtly told they didn't have that. He asked for what beers they did have and the bartender listed a few then pointed at the fridge. It was no problem for my husband, he just wanted to know what they did have. He figured it out and was ready to order. It's important to note, my husband is bald and Hispanic. He may not "look" like he fits into Montrose, but his money should be good anywhere. While my husband was deciding what beer to order, the bartender began talking with his coworker and staring at our group. They finished their conversation and came to tell us, "Sorry, after dark you have to be over 21." There were no signs with this policy. No mentions on the website. However there were a couple of other kids (maybe 9 or 10 years old) playing games in the next room. But because my husband is Hispanic and bald and looks like a stereotype, and also because he asked for Mexican beers, we were asked to leave with no real explanation other than, "It's after dark. You need to leave." When we pointed out that there were kids in the next room, they shrugged. To them it didn't matter that there were people under 21 in the establishment breaking their policy. Instead we left and ate at Katz's. Our problem is this: when we first walked in, they could've stopped us and told us we couldn't be there. But we don't believe that's why they asked us to leave. Normally bar and grills have a "No one under 21 after 9p" policy that is clearly communicated through posted signs and website updates. But this was at 7:30p. It had just gotten dark. We believe they made an excuse and discriminated against us because my husband wanted beers normally associated with a different crowd. They don't know him and they didn't give any of us a chance. Instead they made assumptions and told us to leave. We will never be back and we will make sure people know that you have to match a specific description to be accepted at Love Buzz Pizza.

Amanda P.

Yelp
Love Love Love this place. I used to always go to Franks Pizza until i discovered this place and now i won't go anywhere else to eat pizza. This is the closest NY style type pizza place in Houston. Has such an eclectic atmosphere with random decor throughout the restaurant. Definitely fun to explore the shop while u wait for your food. They also have arcade games and are Dog friendly. Great service. Last time i went there we sat out back and when the server delivered our pizza he asked if i wanted a bowl of water for my puppy. Very attentive.

Conner S.

Yelp
Second time trying Love Buzz, and it was still kind've underwhelming. Pretty chill location with some arcade games and a bar. Great drink selection but they are expensive. The pizza is very hit or miss, and you have to get a full pie if you want to customize your toppings. The special, Quattro Fourcheesio was pretty good.

Diana J.

Yelp
My favorite is the wake n bake pizza. Best breakfast pizza I ever had. Yolk is runny and delicious.

Vilma J.

Yelp
10/10 it's a cool little spot :) I'd recommend going anytime from 6-10. Games pizza and beer plus cool decor.

Araselys H.

Yelp
I am very picky about pizza but this place is SO good. The staff is so cool and social and the menu is HUGE. The Garlic bites are so good and fluffy and they have a pretty good drink menu! The pizza is definitely the perfect size depending on what you get. There are tons of cool places to sit and lots of fun arcade games. Also makes for a great photo op!

Brandi B.

Yelp
Please please PLEASE do yourself the favor of ordering the Wake and Bake pizza. No joke, the best pizza I've had in Houston. We ordered from Love Buzz on a whim during quarantine and just keep coming back to it... so. freaking. good. One time we tried switching it up with The Montrosaurus Rex but it was a bit too greasy and left me yearning for the delicious egg-topped Wake and Bake. Also ordered the cheese blunts recently (lol I love the creativity of this menu) but they were cold by the time I made it home, so I'd save those for when you're dining in! Despite that, I really like Love Buzz and plan to be a continued customer!!

Nikki B.

Yelp
Chill place with good random music. Tasty pizza. I was really looking forward to this being my new neighborhood bar. However the vibe just isn't as friendly. You go in there and the bartenders are never friendly. They always act like they don't want to be there. It really gives the place an unfriendly feel that I wasn't expecting. Would be going here way more often but the vibe is lacking. If you go with a big group of friends then cool. If you're around the neighborhood you just want to walk over and have a drink, maybe look somewhere else. The beer options are also strange. They don't have any of the local favorites. And they're missing some really good categories for beer. I'm talking about on tap only. But there is happy hour every day of the week so that's pretty awesome! Pizza included :-)

Jill E.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere, dig the Simpsons and the 3 in Da Morning pizza was ammmmmaaazing

Brianna B.

Yelp
besides this food being over priced... the service is always very poor. the staff always comes off annoyed and rude when helping customers. one time i got a text my order was ready and when i got there the staff told me it would be another 10 minutes. another time i came in at the time it told me my pizza would be ready (45 minutes after ordering) and they told me my order wasn't even started yet. just disappointed cause it's the closest pizza spot next to me and with the bar and ambiance it has so much potential... however the workers attitudes and the level of service make this place subpar. oh and BOTH times i ordered honey which is $3 and both times they forgot it and i had to go back :(

C S.

Yelp
Food was mediocre. If you walk in, don't expect to be greeted or even serviced. My friend and I had to order our food from our phones in order to get anything. Best thing would be the late hours

Jeremy K.

Yelp
The pizza wasn't very good. We ordered the Mother Clucker and were pretty disappointed. I didn't even go in with high expectations. But the crust was very generic, the toppings didn't have much flavor and the sauce tasted like generic Alfredo sauce from the jar. And the ambiance was lacking. I know it's a dive bar. But still. It was so dark and impossible to see the menu. You order at the bar, which is about five seats wide and full of regulars, so it's tough to put your order in. If you want a dive bar, then Love Buzz is a good option. But I wouldn't recommend it as a restaurant.

Darius P.

Yelp
Pizza is greasy but good. Their time management sucks tho. I ordered my pizza at 10:45 and was supposed to be ready at 11:30. I didn't get it until almost 12.

Cassie X.

Yelp
Eh this place was ok. My bf and I came here on a weekday night for the first time. We sat at a table but was told that we had to order everything at the bar. We ordered a 12" Kushmaster pizza ($15), small house salad with chicken ($4 plus $6 for chicken), and 2 beers. The salad with chicken was just sad. There were 3 pieces of chicken and we paid $6 extra for it. I could have bought a whole rotisserie chicken for less. The pizza we had was pretty tasty. Only 2-3 workers there and we had to go to the bar to ask for everything (extra fork, etc). Overall, overpriced dive bar with ok food.

Cary A.

Yelp
Wanted to give them a try after getting a flyer in the mail. We haven't been eating out much but with everything going on we have been trying to support local when we do. Unfortunately this pizza was a big let down. We got a personal and a regular size "crispy" which totaled $43~ with tip. We live very close but don't mind a longer wait for delivery if we are being lazy about pick up on a Friday after work. Sad to say our pizzas were cold, burnt, and extremely chewy (overworked dough). We always get well done pizzas and have never had a pizza burnt to the point of being inedible. :( I thought we'd found a delivery alternative to Gypsy and Pepperonis or even Trader Joe's pizza dough but I don't think I can give them another shot after this.

Cole K.

Yelp
Love Buzz has fantastic pizza and even better vibes. The music is always on point and the pizza box has one of the dopest designs I've ever seen. I got the 3 in da Mornin as it was FUEGO . The chipotle honey makes it. Definitely a spot to check out if you're in midtown/Montrose!

Sarah S.

Yelp
Love coming by for the special slice of the week. They have great happy hour and daily specials. I'll stop by for a few brews and friendly competition with my dates playing air hockey or skee-ball.

Victoria M.

Yelp
80's fun! Skeeball and video games, jukebox, tvs playing throwback shows, air hockey, a giant Marge... Full bar, lots of menu options, delicious pizza (I had the Quattro Fourcheesio, added pepperoni) Vending machine for "necessities" like cigs and tampons... Lots of seating options Can't wait to go back and try the Stanktonia!! VERY limited parking

Brooks E.

Yelp
So good. Any and all the pies are the best inside the loop. I love their crust and so many good toppings choices.

M B.

Yelp
The pizza, very good. The service, quite the opposite. I used to frequent this place prior to covid and got some orders in during the pandemic because I was trying to do my part and support local and their pizza is good. But boy... this service. It's gone from meh to having the most pretentious and rude vibe. I was there this past Saturday and asked the employee behind the bar for an update on our pizza. I wasn't in too much of a rush, but it had been more or less 45 min. She told me she would check. Same time, someone else asked her the same. They had ordered before me via phone and had been waiting for 45+. The woman behind the bar says out loud, loud enough for me hear and I'm a bit away, something along the lines of, "why is everyone asking me for times?" (not verbatim- but basically). Talk about unnecessary and extremely rude. Is this how you keep a locally owned business running? There was zero need for it. Anything along the lines, "let me check" would sufficed. I even checked with the patron that it was told to and she informed it it was the first time she had asked. As much as I really enjoy the pizza and I'm sure you would too, don't expect a friendly face or a good attitude because they just don't exist here anymore.

Yelp
It wasn't until the tips of my lips burned that I noticed they used fresh Jalapeño on my Jalapeño and spinach pizza. (Don't knock it til you've tried it ) Pros: Only used Fresh ingredients No overbearing extra crust Fun names for the pizza Unique pizza options Stoner vibe Plentiful Caesar salad Large 16" option Cons: mozzarella sticks were cold Some people may prefer a crispier crust

Yelp
really want to like this place but the pizza is just so overwhelmingly mediocre. this is a pizza restaurant, make good pizza. if Tiny Champions can do it so can you. You've had way more time to figure it out than they have. If the owner is reading this go to Tiny Champions and try their pizza, then go home and reflect on your life. Hell Pepperonis makes a better pizza than this place and they're a chain. Put less effort in trying to be hip with your drug ziplocked parmesan packets and put more effort into your main product aka pizza. Please just spend a few hours on R&D and you could have a much better pizza than what's currently served. Montrose needs a really good pizza joint and this could be you, but currently this place cares more about having a faux stoner vibe than its pizza.

Yelp
If you love badass pies, a unique, but cozy aesthetic, and good beer and cocktails, this is an awesome place for you! I have received delivery from them a couple times at it was good, but eating there in person was in another level! They have a small arcade, some awesome adult animation or anime playing, and an awesome jukebox! Their decor is so cool as well! Gus, Peter, and Nate are all awesome and super friendly :)
