"If you’re the type that would rather suffer than ask your waiter for a refill, you’ll love the self-serve coffee bar at Love Lane Kitchen. It's open all day, but breakfast and lunch are where this place shines. There are plenty of hot carbs like french toast and pancakes coming off the griddle, as well as things like goat cheese paninis and housemade pastrami sandwiches. The salads are pretty solid, too—they do a great Mediterranean with a healthy dose of capers and olives. " - sal vaglica

Went on Sunday for dinner. Parked immediately in front of the restaurant. Was seated immediately. Place is appropriately decorated with sayings around "Love" ❤️ as the location is Love Lane. We had burgers 🍔 --one Beef and one Black bean. Both delicious and fresh. The garlic French fries 🍟 --perfect. We ended with a very delicious slice of chocolate cake 😋made by "mom". Wait staff attentive.

Since February of 2020, we have visited this lovely establishment 3x, we don’t live locally. Each time, we have been absolutely thrilled with the environment, warmth, charm and delicious menu Love Lane Kitchen has to offer. At each visit we were blessed enough to chat with the owner, Carolyn. She is an absolute doll and is the epitome of a gracious host. The staff is attentive, friendly and hospitable. The food was incredible, lamb chops over mashed with broccoli rabe was tender, flavorful and beautifully plated. Definitely a place to make a destination next time you head East on Long Island.

Google
A staple for Mattituck! An amazing brunch spot with a huge range of breakfast and lunch food. I recommend the Steak Sandwich and Chicken Avocado Sandwich. My friend also got a side of Garlic Fries and they were really crispy and tasty! The Pancake Tacos are a cool mix and a nice switch up from typical breakfast food.

Google
Love Lane Kitchen is wildly popular and it has a great location on Love Lane and the atmosphere is great. It's got a vintage chill vibe and we sat at the bar. Looks like that have great breakfast, but popped in for lunch. We just needed a light bite so we shared a grilled chicken, avocado and bacon sandwich with a side salad. I also had a fairly tasty lemonade. Unfortunately the side salad had some down leaves so we had to pick those out. Would recommend if you're in the area.

Wow! Lovely establishment with friendly staff and great service. Black bean burger and garlic fries were flavorful and fresh. Scrumptious dessert. Quiet street with benches for waiting. Highly recommended!

I've been here a bunch of times, and it's always been great. I usually give visitors to LI a tour of the North Fork, and this is one of the stops. I had the lamb burger on my most recent visit, and it was cooked very well - still juicy! There was a great daily special of burger and beer for fair price. The service is always friendly and attentive.

Google
Truthfully, this is my favorite place for breakfast/lunch in the entire North Fork. I’ve had a lot of items on the menu, and I like all of it, but I want to spotlight the things that are at the top of the list for me. The shrimp quesadilla is a special that’s been available every time I’ve gone, and it’s the safest bet on the menu. It’s so good and the chipotle aioli they give you with it is really good. The crab cakes are unreal here. My favorite crab cakes bar none. I’ve had it in the Benedict which is super tasty for breakfast, and on the Caesar for lunch which is my favorite way to have it. The lobster roll is so good it’s stupid. Better than most, if not all, of the lobster rolls I had in Bar Harbor. If you’re in the area, you’ve got to go to breakfast or lunch here. If it’s packed, carry out. It’s that good.

This is one lovely restaurant located on a quaint street named Love Lane. We have dined here many times with friends and family over a number of years. Their burgers are my daughter’s favorite and their burrata salad with corn is always a good choice, either as an individual appetizer or something for the entire table to share. Please make sure you have a reservation as the place gets quite busy come the dinner time.

Yelp
We had a great time here Saturday. The place is a bit busy but they have a great texting table ready service. So you can walk around the town before you eat. We loved the decor and the wait staff was awesome. My friend had the best chia tea ever. I loved the unsweetened ice tea. They gave lemons to add. I had a great veggie sandwich the veggies were cooked well but a bit cold in the middle but lots of melted goat cheese. We loved the fries garlicky but good.

Yelp
Five starts, especially for service. It was such a nice day out yesterday that my husband and I wanted to take out food to-go rather than eat inside the restaurant. We placed the order (chicken fingers and fries with pickles and a sandwich) and advised we'll be waiting outside. I didn't think they'd actually bring us the food (we figured we'll check in after a bit) but they were kind enough to bring us the food and take our payment outside. Another worker must've realized they forgot the pickles and brought it out to us. They were extremely kind and the food was delicious!

Yelp
I've wanted to come here for quite some time. Being that it's a 40 minute drive I put it off. I was going to be in the area today so I decided to stop in for breakfast. It was only me, so I opted to sit at the counter and not take a table. I was given menus and advised where the coffee was as it is "serve yourself." I ordered a breakfast bowl which consisted of breakfast potatoes, eggs, cheddar cheese, avocado and pico de gallo. I also had a side of bacon and coffee. The breakfast bowl was just okay. Nothing really to brag about. Breakfast potatoes had decent seasoning. Bacon was cooked nicely. I also had coffee. I was not a fan of "serve yourself" as you have to get up numerous times if you drink your coffee throughout your meal. It also gets crowded at the coffee area so your food gets cold. Eh. Not sure if I'd drive the 40 mins again.

Yelp
Came here this morning for breakfast with my family. Great service & cute spot. Makes you feel at home. I had the BEC on focaccia, my son had French toast & my husband had the steak & eggs. All really good! I'd go back!

S T.

Yelp
The wait wasn't too long but it is well worth it. The steak sandwich was amazing, very tender and the combo of the horseradish dressing and salad on the sandwich was the perfect mix.

Felice L.

Yelp
We stopped here today - it's a favorite of ours on any trip out east, especially for brunch! After a short wait, we were seated outside and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I had the LLK Scramble and my husband had an omelette. Both were fresh, perfectly cooked and tasty. The staff is friendly and prompt with service and the outdoor seating is dog-friendly. Will definitely be back this summer!!

Roxy S.

Yelp
I ordered the parfait as I'm not a fan of brunch and wasn't very hungry. The fruit was fresh, granola was nice and tasted house made. Very generous serving. Parfaits are basic, but most places still don't do it right. This one was really good and worth the money.

Stephon M.

Yelp
Very very good! The pastrami and eggs was simply amazing!!! The bowl was great as well. This place is usually busy but had great service on a quiet day. I liked the size of the latte but the flavor and texture was a bit off. Maybe it was whatever oat milk brand they use. The ambiance is also pretty good! Definitely coming back!

Lyn L.

Yelp
Service was great! Seated right away. Waters provided and instructions given on how to get self serve coffee. Cute indoor & outdoor seating options. The restaurant has that beach vibe. Food was ok. I ordered the crab Benedict special. The crab cake was kinda mushy and contained very little crab. It was surrounded by a bed of arugula. There was a nice poached egg but it was drenched in this mustard tasting sauce. They sprinkled a few pieces of bacon, not a memorable meal. Not exactly the hollandaise sauce of my past experiences. Others ordered omelets that seem to be fine.

Christina V.

Yelp
Cute spot. Great service. Food is good. Deserts are delicious. I like the poached egg breakfast over sweet potatoe hash.

Yelp
I was recommended to come to this place, so finally I did. Came here with the boyfriend. The wait for a Sunday afternoon was about 15 minutes - pretty good for the crowd that was waiting. They did have outside seating - which we looked it was actually a tent like side of the building that was covered and had walls. We sat inside at a small table. This place is so crowded, you're sitting on top of each other. If I can stretch my arms out and touch the people beside me, we're too close - and I'm 5'3". Our waitress was NOT friendly. She had black hair and she was short, and didn't say her name, so she was probably smart to not do that or else I would have listed her name. Anyway, she couldnt refill any drinks, didn't smile, and when we gave her cash - normal waiters ask if we need change - she up and took it, and never came back to us. Seriously? You just assume like that? Anyway, this place only has one bathroom. So if there's a line - good luck to you. We had to wait a while, too. Next I wanna point out is the prices. I figured this place was probably expensive because the store beside it called "Mint" is EXTREMELY expensive. So my sandwich cost $18. I got 4 plantains, and a small sandwich - that was IT. It was called "The Cuban". The food came out quickly, shockingly, but the amount of food on my plate and looking at the cost - oh, no mam. This will be a once and done for me. I don't like enjoying expensive meals feeling clostrophobic. Those high prices and little food and you can't build another bathroom??? Huh?

Yu P.

Yelp
Large portion meal. Tried the lobster roll and didn't disappoint. Staff are lovely. There is a heated covered patio space for those who bring their animals.

Yelp
This food is a wonderful spot for DELICIOUSNESS. We went for lunch & started with a seltzer infused with lavender floral tea & lemon-so refreshing. We had steak frites with garlic fries. The marinated & grilled hanger steak was mouth watering tenderness in every bite. Our lovely waitress,Chloe, told us it was a favorite & we could taste why. The fries were hot & crisp with a hint of rosemary. You feel welcome the moment you enter & are shown to your seat. There is chatter about you tho not loud.. we opted to share a piece of carrot cake which was moist with a cream cheese frosting topped with pecans & delicious whipped cream, one of best I've ever tasted. Love Lane is charming with shops to visit after your very satisfying lunch. This little charmer is worth the visit to Mattituck. Give it a try you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
We have been seasonal locals on the east end for 15 years now. We always wanted to try this establishment....but the line/waiting list was always too long. This weekend it was surprisingly only a 15 minute wait...Truly a comforting, fresh and tasty meal. The service is prompt and friendly. I asked for a Cobb Salad with two sunny-side eggs on top...they simply said "not a problem at all..." I don't like waiting, but this could be that exception.....

Yelp
My husband and I went to Love Lane Kitchen. We were created by friendly service people. The food was out of this world delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. Their menu is limited. The place is simple in decor but very relaxing.. My husband and I go there often all different times of the year. We have taken various people there and so far, everyone has liked it. If you haven't tried it I suggest you do.

Kim M.

Yelp
This place never fails to be delicious and always a good idea when in the area. Waitress was very sweet as well.

Flora H.

Yelp
Great neighborhood spot on a very cute street in North Fork. While this is a solid breakfast option, I wouldn't necessarily say that it's worth a long wait unless you have some time to kill (we walked around and explored the other shops and cafes during our 45 minute wait for a table for 5) or have your heart set on a sit-down breakfast as there are some other options in the area for more of a grab-and-go type breakfast that also looked great. I had the crab cake benedict which was a daily special, and have to say I was a bit disappointed that it didn't come with breakfast potatoes (I should have asked) since the table next to me had potatoes served with theirs, which they must have ordered on the side. The potatoes did look great, so I do recommend ordering some on the side. My friends gushed about the hash, but unfortunately I'm not a huge hash person. Free self-serve drip coffee at the front.

George D.

Yelp
Their pastrami is the best, love the food & menu choices, great service. Always a good place to stop for breakfast or lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Caterina P.

Yelp
This place lives up to the hype! It's a cute spot with good food & cozy ambiance. I went with a group of friends last weekend after wine tasting. I ordered a cup of butternut squash soup- soooo good! And a chicken, guac and bacon sandwich, which was good. The service was great, & the prices were reasonable. There was parking on the street & a parking lot nearby. Highly recommend!

Maria S.

Yelp
Simply delicious, and very visually appealing. Will be back next time we are in the area!

Didi G.

Yelp
Very disappointing lunch! My husband ordered the Goat Cheese & Mushroom Panini; it was plentiful & he enjoyed it. I ordered grilled tacos and I thought they were awful. The fish was dry & the hard she'll was tough & chewy. Sides are extra. 3 tacos is overkill. Two would be better served with a side on a soft shell. I left 1 on the plate & managed to eat 1 with tartar sauce. If we return, I'll try breakfast.

Nicole J.

Yelp
A beautiful experience at Love Lane Kitchen! We arrived around 10:30 and were greeted by a friendly hostess. We were told we had a 20 minute wait, but we were called after around 5. Wonderful! The indoor restaurant is adorable, and the outdoor space is lovely as well. Lunch was a salmon sandwich which was delicious. My friends enjoyed the soft shell crab BLTs as well. The watermelon martinis were tart and strong. Elisa, the manager was an absolute sweetheart. We will be back!!!

Carolyn Q.

Yelp
Fantastic food! Great service and friendly staff! Nice place to start your day on Love Lane.

Melanie D.

Yelp
An incredible place with the sweet staff! Might I add the coffee bean is DELICIOUS! My favorite spot on the north fork! The food was so fresh, farm to table I wish I had a bigger stomach to fit it all. Even the salad was unique yet mouthwatering. Can't wait to come back -

Bill M.

Yelp
Awesome local place with some super friendly people. Menu options have breakfast and lunch. A special board on the wall. Grabbed som 'serve yourself' coffee and ordered some morning drinks. Had to decide between breakfast or lunch. Really hard as it all sounds good. Decided on the pastrami hash & eggs. It was good but honestly I had a hard time finding the flavor in the pastrami. I added salt and sriracha to kick it up. The grill flavors on the potatoes were awesome. Deb got the avocado toast of the day. A Mediterranean twist with feta, olives, artichokes and red peppers. A nice spot with solid food.

Joel E.

Yelp
Great food. Young servers are terrific Breakfast is fantastic. Monday Burger night is one great deal

Sandra S.

Yelp
I don't understand the long lines and all the hype but maybe I don't get it. I do think it's a nice neighborhood place and it is definitely run well But tbh it needs some love Too many flies Sticky table and chair lol why am I sticking to my chair? One bathroom - no hand towels Our waitress was lovely Quick and courteous Other staff bussed our dishes and checked in on us in between our waitress coming by The food is good but not amazing. I was excited to try the lobster roll but my lobster had 3 different pieces of shell left in it. If I wasn't used my fork but ate it like a sandwich I could have choked If you don't like celery don't get the lobster roll and it's a generous portion but really heavy on the mayo. Like really really heavy The bun is totally smothered in butter and toasted and I could have eaten that on its own The Fries have like a garlic herb topping and are crispy. I'd go back for the bread and Fries more then the lobster roll My husband has ricotta pancakes. He said they were good but only came w 3 and a few scattered blueberries

Kat I.

Yelp
Came for lunch was able to get right which was great, walked in and the food smelled amazing. Food came quickly had the blackened chicken sandwich which was amazing. My friend has the chicken guacamole bacon sandwich which was delicious too. Both sandwiches came with a simple salad the dressing was light but so good. Try the lavender lemonade it's very refreshing and light you can definitely taste the lavender but it's not over powering. Looking forward to coming back again next time I'm out this way.

Maureen O.

Yelp
Love their lobster roll! Haven't had one I'm years.....perhaps later today. Gets busy so plan to wait it's worth it!

Louiza P.

Yelp
Lovely place It was my first time here. I am starting a fast and there was too much parmesan in my risotto with vegetables like kale and they graciously made a new one. The restaurant exhibits art work by various artists and I shall see if some of mine will go up one day. They refilled my coffee. The bathroom was clean.

Phoebe H.

Yelp
Awesome food Never had a bad meal Cheerful service Fun decor A must visit in matttituck

Daniel P.

Yelp
Good spot. Cute place. Nice street. Outdoor seating that allows for dogs. Serve your own coffee. Kind wait staff. Not too long wait. The only ok stuff - Only one bathroom with just an air dryer. Not the greatest coffee (some brews better than others - one was very 'diner'). Focaccia sandwich was a little too plain. Same with the breakfast potatoes - they required the hot sauce for flavor. But the bacon was crispy and the pancakes were delicious - the style is thin, not these big cake things (disappointed but again still tasty). Yelp says the wait staff wears masks. They don't. I think that's over. You can pay via qr code but my signal was bad so paid with my credit card.

Katherine C.

Yelp
Busy place, there was a wait time but you can add yourself to the wait list on Yelp which helps. They have outside seating under a tent as well (dog friendly place). Food was good, we had the breakfast bowl, and the steak sandwich. Sadly the poached eggs were over cooked and it was a small bowl. Otherwise, staff was friendly and attentive.

Liv M.

Yelp
We sat outside on a fairly hot summer day for early dinner. Outside patio was quiet and fairly cool.Have been to Love Lane kitchen before and have always loved the food and experience. Waitress was great. We both ordered the bean burger and virgin specialty drinks called Pretty Bitter and shared truffle parm fries. Fries were delicious. Drinks were so refreshing and delicious. We actually started making them at hime. Burgers were lacking flavor. We've had plenty of bean burgers over the years and these needed a little help, but still enjoyed and everything else we have ever had there was delicious. We definitely will keep going back; it's a great little place. The patio is Dog friendly with water bowls by the tables and there are vegetarian options for those looking.

Terri G.

Yelp
Welcomed is the feeling as soon as you enter Love Lane Kitchen. It was our first visit and Carolyn made us feel like long time regulars! The risotto was fresh and delicious, the fish my hubby had was even better. Mom's Chocolate Cake was yummy! I can't wait to return!

Marisa D.

Yelp
Always great food on Love lane in Mattituck. Nice breakfast. Great lunch menu. Definitely recommend

Mary R.

Yelp
We've had a home in the North Fork for many years now, and never skip the chance to have brunch or lunch at Love Lane Kitchen. The staff is attentive. The menu and food is excellent and varied with specials. Not a big red meat fan, but I love their steak and eggs. The homemade chicken noodle soup and chicken, bacon avocado sandwich are basic but SO good!

Amanda R.

Yelp
Love Love Lane and love Love Lane Kitchen! I've been here 3 times now -once for a to-go lunch order - and the food has been great each time. I've tried 3 different paninis (went halfsies on two), the sweet potato fries (super crispy!), and one of the salads. All great, all made me want to order another of the same thing before I was done with the first. If I had to pick a favorite, it's still the Goat Cheese Panini. I've heard the non-panini options are great too, and the daily specials are always very enticing. The servers are pleasant and willing to make recommendations which is helpful because there are multiple items of interest on their standard menu. They also have a cute self-service coffee bar inside - if you are into coffee. Definitely recommend stopping in for brunch, lunch, or an early dinner if you are local and have yet to try it, or if you are visiting the North Fork and taking a stroll down Love Lane.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Love this place. Food is awesome and love the atmosphere. The only downfall is that the restaurant is on the smaller side so usually need to wait for a table but always worth it.

Bridget P.

Yelp
A wonderful off-premise catering experience from start to finish. I was having a small get together with a few of my closest friends and wanted some artisanal sandwiches. A couple of us were pregnant at the time so I wanted to stay away from cold cuts. When I looked at Love Lane's platters, each sandwich sounded better than the next. I called to order the small platter and the pasta salad. The woman on the phone was so friendly and assured me she'd be the one handing the order over to us when the day came. My husband drove 35 min to pick up the platter the morning of and was so impressed by the presentation. He could hardly wait to get home to try some. We loved each type of sandwich but the standouts were the grilled steak and Cuban. The pasta salad was excellent. I can't wait to order from here again.

Andrew C.

Yelp
I had a great experience at Love Lane Kitchen! The wait was not long and we were able to get a nice outdoor table in their side area. The place is not super large, but they can fit a good amount of people here without the feeling of being cramped. The wait staff were very friendly and accommodating to the needs of all guests. They will go out of their way to make a change to an order and explain what certain things are. I ordered a stuffed french toast and a side of home fries. This food was incredible. The fries were very well seasoned and the french toast was amazing. The french toast is stuffed with cheesecake so it tastes great! I also had a lemonade which was very good. Everyone in my party really enjoyed the food and had a great time. I highly reccomend this place for breakfast if you are visiting the area. Good food for a good price!

A W.

Yelp
Always great, friendly staff, fresh coffee. The salads are my favorite... can't remember the name exactly but it's the one with potatoes and olives.. maybe nicoise? It's so tasty! Love when a place can do a salad well ..like a meal instead of a side.

Kristin V.

Yelp
This place was ok and it was an average dining experience. I would give it 3.5 stars if that was doable on Yelp. We got a burger and also a grapefruit/avocado salad. The burger was very typical and not worth $19. The fries that came on the side were quite slimy/oily and a tad soggy. The salad (+chicken) was good, but again not worth $25. The service was prompt and the atmosphere very pleasant. There were however many flies swarming around us -- I think the waitstaff noticed this was bothering us and closed one of the doors. But that was unpleasant. TLDR; the food was fine and the atmosphere quaint, but so overpriced.

Andrew K.

Yelp
No trip to the vineyards in Long Island is complete without a breakfast at Love Lane Kitchen! From the cozy atmosphere to the warm staff and all the delicious offerings on the menu, it has to be one of the best eateries Long Island has to offer. The menu is chock full of plates that will catch your eye making it hard to narrow it down to what you want so you'll certainly be back for more. We got the steak and eggs, breakfast bowl and bacon egg and cheese sandwich. We also added a side of sausage patties. Not one bite was disappointing. The steak was expertly seasoned and you could tell they put a lot of thought and effort into the marination process. The sandwich was well made from a portion and ratio POV. And the breakfast bowl had a little bit of everything that you could want in a complete breakfast. Highly recommend!

Stacey K.

Yelp
The most warm and inviting spot with incredible food. Took my mom for dinner and we enjoyed everything from beginning to end. Staff was great too. Can't wait to go back!

Theresa G.

Yelp
Drove 60 miles to lunch here yesterday. This place never disappoints. We had the lamb burger and steak frites. And finished with a slice of carrot cake. We are still thinking about it!!

Evangelia L.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday afternoon with my mom. This restaurant is cute, though the menu is a bit limited. I ordered the burger with garlic herb fries and a lemonade to drink. The fries were good and I loved how everything was made fresh. However, I found the food to be a bit overpriced. The carrot cake that we ordered for dessert was delicious. Staff were friendly and very attentive to our needs. I appreciated how they were always making sure that everything was okay. I'd return to try another item on the menu if I happen to be in the area again. The outdoor seating area was lovely.

Christy H.

Yelp
AMAZING food, be it lunch, dinner, or catering. First time I got the fish tacos for lunch. Best, most flavorful and tender grilled mahi I've had in the North Fork. Awesome sweet potato fries. My fiance got the burger and fries, also excellent. Second time I did their sandwich catering platter and Mediterranean salad. Everyone at my party loved the sandwiches, and their variety. I personally loved the chicken with red pepper and mozzarella and the chicken salad sandwiches, while my dad and fiance were obsessed with the Cuban sandwich, and my mom loved the chicken with avocado and bacon. I had leftover salad and happily ate the rest for lunch a few days over the week. My party had 8 people, and the small sandwich platter and salad was more than plenty. The staff was super helpful, too, Third time I got the lobster roll for dinner. Before this LUNCH AKA Lobster Roll was my favorite cold lobster roll in either of Long Island's forks. I think I can now happily say that this might usurp its #1 spot. HIGHLY recommend, definitely worth the price, and probably one of the more generous portions of lobster out there. Sweet potato fries still awesome. A good meal makes me super happy; an excellent meal makes my day. Thank you, Love Lane Kitchen, for making my day three times in one month!

Andrea B.

Yelp
We stopped in on our last day vacationing on the area and weren't disappointed. A lot of great health choices and splurge options as well. Great beer and cocktail choices as well. We had the lobster roll with truffle fries and the mushroom mozzarella paying and both were delicious. Service was a little slow but we were at the end of the lunch rush. Otherwise staff were friendly and attentive.

Patrick D.

Yelp
Really quaint place in Mattituck, NY My wife and I came in for lunch while visiting Long Island and had a nice meal. I had the streak sandwich and my wife had the salmon sandwich. Bothe were really good. It was a bit tight inside and the bathroom wasn't working. Other than that - it's was a great place to eat.
