Paradise Sushi is set back into a shopping center off of Pecos Rd and Tropicana Ave. It is easy to locate and access. Parking is sufficient, but the parking lot itself is in desperate need of repaving.
As you enter, the hostess counter is to the left and the sushi counter takes up most of the rest of the space. No sushi bar seating is available.
We had a rather large party, so we called ahead as we were in our way to give them a heads up. Once we arrived we were enthusiastically greeted and had a minimal wait as they arranged seating to accommodate all of us.
The restaurant side is not very large , but it's arranged to maximize space and comfort. Speaking of comfort, I've gotta say the wooden bench seating is great for maximizing space, but gets uncomfortable quickly.
Wait staff was all friendly and efficient and they all worked together well serving all the tables.
Coke lovers be warned, only Pepsi products are served here, so most of our group stuck with the pitchers of ice water they provide at the table.
We chose to do the AYCE option, which allowed us all to mix it up and sample each other's choices. If there's something you want to try but you're not sure if you'll like it, they allow you to ask for a 1/2 order.
My personal faves this visit were the creamy tempura shrimp appetizer, the Friends Burrito, the Angel's Roll, and the Monkey's Dream. The appetizer is stuffed with cream cheese and is oh, so delightful! The burrito was made okay, but not memorable. The Angel's Roll ~ YUM!! The peanut butter, while it sounds odd and out of place, really works and makes this roll stand out! The Monkey's Dream was also good, with the banana adding a very slight touch of sweetness to the bite.
I'm looking forward to coming back next time I'm in town.
