On the Grid : Love Peace and Pho

"Whether you think of Pho as an ethnic treat, comfort food or simply great soup, Love, Peace & Pho delivers the best that Nashville has to offer. The local retro-ethnic fusion atmosphere fits in nicely with neighboring vintage shops, making it a great place to break for lunch or for a first stop on your evening out. When it’s too hot out for soup, check out their wide variety of Bahn Mi sandwiches. Love, Peace & Pho is a truly original offering that feeds both the stomach and the soul." - GS&F

Where to Eat Pho in Nashville | Eater Nashville

"Love, Peace & Pho serves up pho dishes traditional to the southern regions of Vietnam, which is slightly different in taste to the pho of other regions. It offers five different types of broth, each of which take two days to prepare--so you know there is attention to detail put in each dish." - Delia Jo Ramsey

Love Peace & Pho has a great vibe to just sit and chat. My friend and I went for dinner after work and had a great experience. The food was so good and service was very nice. I got the Crazy Good Fried Rice which does have whole shrimp for if you're feeling a little adventurous. So much yum! Parking might be a little tricky here. I was able to get a parking spot on the street right in front, but my friend had to park on the street a bit of a walk away. They might have other parking close by too

I am not one to write reviews but I could not let this one go. My main issue was with my clay pot rice dish. The steak was so overcooked that I was unable to eat most of it. I had to spit out several pieces. Maybe 1/3 of the meat was edible. This dish was $28 and I could only eat a few pieces of meat from it. There were other issues with my experience that I would normally let go, but since my entree was so disappointing I might as well bring them up. The menu stated that I could have switched out the meat option for a cheaper alternative, but I was denied this by the server. Immediately after, when I tried to order a beer on tap, I was told they didn’t actually have that beer. Later, a friend at the table tried to order creme brulee and was again told that it was not available. Another friend paid $18 for an Old Fashioned that left much to be desired. There was also a $5 CC handling fee??? I have not heard good things about this place, but was ready to have my mind changed. I will not be returning or recommending to anyone.

We went on a holiday so expected it to be busy but the service was very slow, that being said the food was overall great. I got the vegan pho and appetizer but partner got the beef spring noodles and he liked the dish but found the beef way too fatty. Other than that we will be back.

Google
What an Experience! I came for the pho but before I got to that, the egg rolls were unreal. I have never seen them prepared this way and now every other egg roll will be inferior. Then came the pho. The presentation was so cool. The broth was everything. They must take their time and put a lot of effort into it cause it made the difference. I’ve had a lot of pho and this is by far the best I’ve ever had. I took a pho first timer here and he is hooked. The atmosphere and decorations are awesome. It’s a Nashville must and I will never not make a stop when I am in town!

Google
Everything I’ve ever ordered here has been amazing. The clay pot pho is delicious. I highly recommend. The service was great. There is also a full bar in the restaurant. It’s a comfortable place to sit and talk while you eat.

Peace, Love and Pho in Nashville, Tennessee, is hands down one of my favorite spots! I stumbled upon it about eight years ago, and ever since, it’s been a must-visit every time I’m in town. The food is absolutely phenomenal—consistently fresh, flavorful, and comforting. Their pho is out of this world, and their other dishes are just as incredible, packed with authentic flavors that keep me coming back for more. The service is always great, and the people are so friendly—it feels like a warm and welcoming experience every time I walk through the door. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is a gem you don’t want to miss. If you haven’t been to Peace, Love and Pho yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. You won’t regret it!

Google
Not my type of restaurant. We are trying to try new places. My vote doesn't usually count. $16 for small bowl of veggie fried rice 🍚. The flavor was good. Rice was hard. Noodle dish was tasteless. Service was not that attentive or friendly. Everyone else in my party was disappointed 😞. We will not recommend this place and we do not plan to come back.

Google
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Love Peace and Pho, and it was a delightful experience. Our meal started with crispy egg rolls that were perfectly golden and packed with flavor. They set the tone for the delicious journey ahead. For the main course, we enjoyed the Pho Tai with rare beef. The broth was rich and aromatic, while the slices of rare beef were tender and flavorful, creating a comforting and satisfying dish. It was truly a classic pho that hit all the right notes. Additionally, we tried the Bahn Mi with a fried egg, which was a delicious surprise. The combination of the crispy baguette, savory fillings, and the addition of the fried egg made for a delightful balance of textures and flavors. Overall, everything we tasted was delicious, and I would definitely return for more. Love Peace and Pho offers a wonderful dining experience with authentic flavors and comforting dishes that are worth trying again and again.

Yelp
I have to say I am pretty darn picky when it comes to Vietnamese food because nothing is better than my parent's homemade cooking or even mine lol. The Bun Bo hue was on point! It's delicious and comes with a huge beef rib! Very flavorful! I'm picky with my BBH but Love, Peace, & Pho makes it really good! I will definitely come back and order this again! I also tried the clay pot pho - it was ok. The beef was too well done for my liking, it was a little bland but I did enjoy the chard rice. If would have been better if it was seasoned a little more. I get the concept but with pho broth being in the clay pot, the rice absorbed all the flavor. The service was great! The guys were friendly and checked up on us frequently. Will definitely come back to try other entrees.

Yelp
Went in expecting the menu to match what was on Yelp but turned out not to be the case. The pictures of the menu are correct, but not what's listed when you click "menu" on Yelp. That being said, the place looked okay so we thought we'd give it a shot. We ordered the bao bun which were pretty good but didn't have enough meat. Also ordered the beef pho. It took a while for our food which was surprising as every other pho place had fast service. Another surprise was the lime, basil and jalapeños were all inside of the bowl. That doesn't bother me because I always ask for them and typically extra, but just another thing I'm not used to. Finally, the typical sauces (hoisin and sriracha) were also not on the table. Overall not too impressed. Not sure we'd go back for more authentic taste but it was good.

Yelp
Everything was PERFECT! Started with a Bahn Mi. The Pho was fresh and delicious, my rice bowl was charred to perfection and the spicy soup was topped with a ginormous rib!!! The waitstaff was courteous, helpful and conversant. Definitely in line for a return visit, if not this trip but next!!!!

Yelp
Nice vibe, great service, and delicious pho in this establishment that has been around for a decade now. For larger groups with vegetarians, you'll be doing yourselves justice by coming here. I rarely see a long wait, and the vegan pho is outstanding.

Yelp
Such a great place to swing in for dinner. We got there at 5 for dinner service and everyone was so nice and helpful when giving recommendations on the menu. I was between the chicken fried rice or chicken curry, and the server let me know the fried rice would not disappoint. Such great flavor and the rice being cooked with basil was such a fresh touch. My partner got Pho with wok beef and it was also delicious! Great portion size, super flavorful broth, and overall a solid dish. Not that we needed two iced coffees with dinner, but they smelled so good we had to!

Yelp
Food: I ordered the shrimp pho and when it came out I was initially confused because I've never had pho where the herbs and bean sprout weren't served on a separate dish. There was no bean sprout which was particularly disappointing and I also do not love basil so I wish I had known it would be included in the bowl and not as a side as I'm used to. This felt like a very run-of-the-mill shrimp pho. Broth was delicious and noodles were too, but $22 felt ridiculous when even the size of the bowl doesn't compare to a mom and pop pho restaurant where you can get double the size for half the price. Drinks: I ordered a Thai Tea and it was good? Not spectacular, but still good. Service and ambiance: The restaurant is very vibe-y, soft lighting and lofi beats setting it apart from your typical pho place. However, our server was the only one in the entire restaurant and there's only so much he could've done to provide service to every single table. I really felt for him. Several people walked out because it took so long to get seated as he was serving and bussing tables. Overall: I don't believe the ambiance and location remotely justify the price. And while I was satisfied with my meal I can't imagine myself choosing it over the other fantastic pho and Vietnamese restaurants in Nashville.

Yelp
This place was great! We ordered some bao buns and they were delicious! I love how the shred the lettuce to make it easier to eat. Everything was so fresh. I got a steal meal with the rice fried, with a chimichurri sauce and it was delicious. My husband enjoyed the spicy noodle pho and had leftovers. Great place to eat, and so beautifully decorated. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
This place is VIBBBBEYY! We came here for lunch and will definitely be back for a cute and intimate date night. Don took care of us and he was patient, attentive and overall just kind. I got the roasted rice tea which was delicious while my boyfriend got the Thai tea. Now I know the obvious choice would be to get some pho, but we really found sound big hitters on the peace and love parts of the menu. This place has authentic and delicious food that you can feel they put their love into. For my vermicelli bowl - I forget what it's called but it had pork and meatballs, and it was probably one of the best vermicelli bowls I have ever eaten (if not the best). Parking - you cannot park in any of the spots attached to the love peace and pho building. There is street parking or a large parking lot next door at Gruhn Guitars (who we confirmed with ahead of time) that you can use.

Yelp
This was a great dinner! We had an amazing dining experience here, very surprised by the lower revues honestly. We started with the bao buns and wish we ordered another one because we didn't want it to end up the buns are super fluffy and addicting. We were very close to putting another order in for them. We got bowls of Pho and they didn't disappoint. Very top tier dishes. The spicy Hue Noodles were incredible and came with a whole beef rib on the bone. Reasonably priced as well, you going to take some leftovers home most likely. My wife got the claypot pho which is more of a steak and rice dish. The crispy rice was to die for. This place is hidden in 12 South and needs to be known by more people. Chose this spot if your looking for an up and coming restaurant. A+

Yelp
This place was literally phenomenal. Great ambiance for a chill date night or casual meal with friends. Banh mi- bread was crispy, pork was sooo tender and flavorful. Veggies were fresh. 9/10 Clay pot- the pho was the real deal. Could've drank that little bowl six times. Crispy rice and steak were so amazing. Loved the bao buns as well- the kind of bun you hope for. Such a great experience and the staff were so attentive and kind to us!!

Yelp
I finally got to eat here and I really enjoyed the food that I got. I came with my fiancé and some friends. My fiancé and I split a bowl of beef pho as we weren't that hungry. However, the portion was really big and it was delicious. The broth was so flavorful and the beef was tender. I highly recommend. The restaurant is smaller inside than I thought but the vibes are great for groups to come hang and get dinner.

Yelp
Feels like you're walking into a movie set with the décor, as soon as you walk into the restaurant. Wait to be seated, and greeted with a smile. This was for a Yelp Event and I would have not found this gem of it were not for it. I ordered the Bao Buns and Roasted Rice (Hot) Tea first. I've had toasted rice tea before and this was splendid. And the Bao Buns... I don't know how to explain; let's just say that needs to be the first thing you order while you think lol. As it took a second to read over the menu and I was thoroughly enjoying my tea and buns, I decided to go with the LPP's Pho-Dipping Banh Mi. Let me preface this by Stating, I'm AM NOT a fan of cilantro, (also know as the Devil's Lettuce.) This dish made me second guess my thoughts on cilantro. I mean would I eat it anywhere else? Not at all but I wouldn't change this dish to save a limb. It's that good. Please come through and feast. I'll be back for sure. Wish I had someone to experience that with. Bring friends lol!

Yelp
I've gotten the pho here twice and it's the best I've had in Nashville. The broth is so flavorful and has such a rich flavor. I get the chicken broth and I appreciate the portion size as well.
google avatar

Jennifer W.

Yelp
We were in the mood for Pho and this was a home run. We all ordered different varieties of pho and they were all amazing with just the right amount of heat. It's off the beaten path but worth the trip.
google avatar

Isaac A.

Yelp
Very nice and easy place to go if you're craving pho. Won't be the best pho you've ever had but definitely won't be the worst. I got the chicken pho ga bowl which tasted exactly how you would expect so definitely let my expectations. Sara got the rare steak pho which was also a solid choice. We started with the veggie fresh rolls with peanut sauce which was amazing.

Yelp
I came on a Friday night and it wasn't busy. The low lighting kinda gives it a vibe. As for food, me and my friend got the banh xeo tacos (one mushroom, one shrimp, one beef belly), spicy fish sauce wings, and bun bo hue. We shared everything and were very full. The ban xeo tacos were interesting. I like the crunch of the ban xeo shell. The wings were so good. Nice and crunchy yet still juicy. The sauce was very yum too. Their bun bo hue was probably the best bun Bo hue I've ever had. The perfect balance of noodles, broth, meat, veggies. That beef bone meat was very tender. It was spicier than any other bun bo hue I've had, which is preferred in my opinion. I also got the lemonade soda. I was so excited to see they had it. I always drink it when in Southeast Asia. It's rare to find anyone who makes it in our part of the United States. Vietnamese food in general is expensive to begin with and these prices are pretty high compared to other restaurants in town. We spent a hefty amount just for 2 ppl. It was nice to try the almost $30 bun bo hue tho. At least I know for next time. Given that I don't live nearby and it's expensive, I'd say this is a once a year treat.

Yelp
I am an avid for lover, and this spot was impressive. I'm a bum bu hue guy and this place had it down! Springs rolls were solid too! I would highly recommend!

Yelp
Was so excited to try this place, and it was AMAZING! Food was unbelievable along with the very friendly staff! I invited a few friends to celebrate my birthday and they did not disappoint, the staff made me feel so special and cared for! The newly renovated space is truly the best vibe! Their ambiance of the restaurant is cozy, vibrant and convivial. Will most definitley be going back!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was phenomenal!! Service was immaculate!! This was my first time trying pho and I was not disappointed!! Highly recommend this spot! Vibe was super cute too!
google avatar

Yelp
Beef was amazing, great after a night of drinking. The Vietnamese coffee was good. Got some spring rolls. Recommend the coffee and pho
google avatar

Johnny S.

Yelp
This was a good Vietnamese restaurant to experience. They had entrees that most Vietnamese restaurants around Nashville area do not make at all. I tried the bun bo hue. It was good, I liked the rib beef bone. The broth has a little too much lemongrass for my liking but it was good. I would prefer the bowl to have all the original fixings. Service was good and the restaurant was clean.
google avatar

Diamond N.

Yelp
Broth - 6.5/10 Beef - 6/10 Noodles - 5.5/10 Staff - 5/10 They gives you a small little cup of Sriracha, and Hoisin Charge extra .75 for chili oil. The food was nasty it was actually good , but I have had better. And they don't have appetizers. Staff was not horrible but could have been much better the guy never gave us any refills , I had to ask for the sauces that came with the pho (sriracha/ hoisin). And it wasn't busy we were the only people (2) in the restaurant. I should have taken a picture of the menu , my bad. At least I tried it but I prefer Pho Ann (12/10) over this place.

Yelp
Stopped by here while shopping recently. Parking can be a pain but the paid lot across the street is free for the first hour, which is what we did. We arrived a little before lunch and it was pretty empty but still took a while to be greeted and sat. The servers seemed to be readying the restaurant. I'll be honest, our server was less than friendly, but he warmed up by the time we left. Overall, I really enjoyed my beef pho. I've had pho in Vietnam and definitely wasn't expecting that but I was pleasantly surprised and the freshness of the herbs and jalapeños definitely helped! I would go back again, for sure. And I'll always start with their delicious jasmine tea!
google avatar

Antonio P.

Yelp
I swear by this spots the steak Pho is truly a weekly staple for me. Get this with some egg rolls and enjoy yourself. I've also gone inside and sat and it is always a good dining experience. Staff is friendly, the restaurant is never lacked to capacity. I feel like it's a hidden gem.
google avatar

Sarah G.

Yelp
I want to take everyone who rates this place highly and shake them, and then take them to a really good Vietnamese place. The broth is fine. The rest is a nightmare. Stir fry noodles, red onion. Nothing about this is authentic or good, which can be expected from the name of the restaurant.
google avatar

Howard S.

Yelp
This is a great Vietnamese spot in Nashville. There are not many options for pho in town, most are on the west side. This is a great location for locals. The service is good and the food is even better. I highly recommend the egg coffee after your bowl! Cheers friends
google avatar

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
If you want authentic pho don't go here. This is not authentic. Overpriced and salty. The ambiance is beautiful but the food was not it. Even the workers eat somewhere else lol!
google avatar

Lyn H.

Yelp
The egg rolls and Pho steak are the best here. Always good food and service. The Vietnamese iced coffee is good.
google avatar

Chris A.

Yelp
First, I will start off with the parking situation. Yes the parking is not very good. I parked in that lot on the other side of the coffee shop. Everyone is really strict with the parking here due to the proximity to Zanies. I showed up at 5 right when they opened. Got seated and served very well. I got an order of fresh rolls. The peanut sauce was very good. The decor is nice. I liked the continuity between the menus and the paint on the wall. Since I got here early, there weren't many others in. They had interesting music though like 2010s pop dance stuff. I would have taken indie pop over this stuff, it was semi-borderline annoying but still tolerable. I ordered the wok seared beef pho. It came out pretty quick. Now I am no pho expert like other reviewers. To me the taste was pretty good. Loved the fresh basil as always. Love the flower too. The pho had a great garlic flavor and the crunch of the fresh garlic and fresh green onion was delicious. I emptied my bowl. The unsweetened tea drink I got was good too. In hindsight I should have just got the water. I will have to try the other places again so they're fresh on my tongue before comparing. I last had pho in 2014 maybe so I will need to have my memory refreshed.
google avatar

Kaitlynn P.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing!!! I saw something on their instagram and I didn't see it on the menu and the we're so happy to make it for me! it was the beef carpaccio and it was honestly the most amazing thing I've had in a long time! I also had the rare beef pho with chili oil and it was everything I needed! my mom had the spring rolls and tacos and she absolutely raved about them! The Hot sake was also amazing and came in the cutes little glass jar! 10/10 will be back . please keep them on your radar, the owners came and checked on us and I just love the vibe of this place!!!!!!
google avatar

Derrick B.

Yelp
I'm not a huge pho person but was excited to try this place as there isn't many Vietnamese options in Nashville. Parking is not great as they don't have a lot but there is a few free spots out front on the street. If those are full, park down one of the side streets. I ordered the dac biet. It was good, but as I'm not a huge pho person, I honestly don't know good vs bad pho just yet. With that said, I'm curious to try other options on the menu and will be back the next time I'm on 8th Ave S as there isn't much food in that area.
google avatar

Karen T.

Yelp
They just reopened after 2 months long renovation. New modern Vietnamese restaurant. Super nice and cozy inside. New menu is absolutely amazing, huge portions. Most of my group is Vietnamese and we loved the experience here. We came back the next day to try the whole menu. This is definitely our weekly place for sure. Love peace and Phø, you guys rock!
google avatar

Teresa F.

Yelp
Really cute, super tasty, friendly, and fairly priced Vietnamese food. Clean inside (entrance could use a clean up but once inside it was nice). Lots of gluten free options here. Great banh xeo pancakes and customizable fresh spring rolls. The gluten-free shrimp dumplings were good but not great. I'd ask for less sauce if I ordered it again. Interesting drink choices as well as beer and wine. Pho very popular.
google avatar

Lauren C.

Yelp
Great local place! The service is great, and the location is ideal for me since I am a student. I get the rare beef pho and egg rolls...never disappoints! Takeaway is a great option, as well.

Eli S.

Yelp
The best bun bo hue I've had in my life, with generous portions, good drinks, a nice atmosphere, and good pricing. Glad I was able to bring my dad here while he was in town!
google avatar

Peter S.

Yelp
Newly remodeled - vegetable spring rolls were amazing - could have just eaten that - we had 3 soups dishes one with Tofu the same without tofu and I had steak pho - all were very good service was solid - I'd go there again but it's just a LOT of soup for ME. So I'd get a spring roll and maybe the double fried wings and I'd be totally happy - but great place. Ample street parking up and down 8th and across the street in neighborhood !!!

Justin C.

Yelp
I've eaten here off and on since I moved here 7 years ago and it WAS good. I just ordered delivery and things have definitely changed... The portions used to be perfect but now, you can tell the business is penny pinching. They also put an ungodly amount of green onions in my pho along with RED ONIONS?! I've never had any real pho with red onions in it. They used to give you sprouts to eat with your pho and my wife and I didn't receive that either. No cilantro, and two little slices of a jalapeño. OH YEAH, and the noodles are absolute crap!!! They were thick and tasted like they were cooked and sat for about 45 minutes to "save time." The broth was definitely watered down and overall just not worth the money. This order was enough to make me not ever want to order from here ever again. Like I said, they were good in the past but not anymore. I absolutely WOULD NOT DOUBT if someone "new to Nashville" bought the business from the original owners thinking they could strike it rich with little to no knowledge of making pho. Don't waste your time here folks.
google avatar

Yelp
We'll need I say more. The only thing that preventing me from slurping directly from the bowl was that I was not at home The Bha Ko was amazing
google avatar

Jesse F.

Yelp
Highly recommend this neighborhood gem. Great atmosphere and it smelled great from the moment we walked in. The food was delish and the menu has much more than just Pho. Service was fantastic. Great spot for a date night, lunch, or business dinner. My wife and I are looking forward to stopping back.
google avatar

Yelp
The Vegan Pho was phenomenal!! The service was excellent and the decor and ambiance was up to par!! Would highly recommend.

Jocelynn C.

Yelp
Totally hit my cravings!!! The pho was amazing almost like it was homemade pho!! The server was really nice and everyone had a good attitude & manners!! 10/10 highly recommend!!!!

Yelp
Excited to have found this place. We ordered takeout last night- reasonable prices, quick service and friendly staff. The place was packed when I got there. There is a 5$ coupon if you check in on Yelp! I loved my pork and egg roll vermicelli dish- abundance of fresh veggies, mint, and protein. We also ordered the beef and chicken banhmi. Def not your traditional banh mi- didn't Have a mouthful of cilantro etc, and there were peppers. French bread was crunchy. We also ordered the shrimp spring rolls- good but not as much mint as I like. This place is super close to my house, I will definitely be back for noodles and to try other stuff. Ps the website on Yelp is WRONG. Should be peaceloveandpho.net- full menu posted there!

Lakisha J.

Yelp
While Love, Peace & Pho is not my normal go-to spot for Pho, it is definitely the closest to my home. I ordered Pho Tai and a hot Jasmine tea. Both were pretty good. Fresh ingredients and a just-right portion size for me. Service was decent. I was greeted and seated promptly and was taken care but I was missing the warm welcome that I typically receive from other places around the city. Parking can be tough but you can luck out and find street parking. Also, I just learned that you can park for free in the Gruhn Guitars parking lot.

Grey S.

Yelp
Fancy but unnecessary renovation? Check. Worse, smaller portion food? Check. Significantly higher price? Check. Slow idgaf about you service? Check. You know that feeling when an Asian parent watches their promising child one day decide to be a wiling failure? That's how I feel. Just another used-to-be-great authentic restaurant degrading into a cookie cutter place where bachelorette party goers can take pictures and post a bunch of hashtags like they enjoy being abused. Don't go.

Andrea A.

Yelp
How hard is to mess up on pho? What a really bad experience, service is obviously poor not attentive to customers. And last but not least price it's way expensive for what it is! $25 for grill steak that is ground beef, they put a big chunk of ground beef and not give you a knife? So much to say. But just will never be back let put it that way! Ambiance is the only okay there lol
google avatar

Eliza D.

Yelp
Excellent food and customer service! Great for meat and plant based eaters alike. Ordered completely vegan when visiting and left in good spirits! Woo!

Yelp
I've lived down the street from Love, Peace & Pho for years and finally tried it. And wow have I been missing out! I had the vegan pho which came with a sizable helping of broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, onion and tofu. The broth was rich and flavorful and held its own even with all of the other ingredients in the mix. The generous amount of rice noodles balanced the veggies well. I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu.

Yelp
This place is a must!! The pho was amazing and the fresh rolls are a must!! And the owner Kevin was great and the staff was friendly and on point with not only guidance on what to order but also gave us some great tips about the city. Over all 10 out of 10!!
