First time ordering from the Lovejoy location. The minute I walked in the door, I was greeted by the owner, Anthony who shook my hand and introduced himself. Asked if I was new to the area to which I explained my daughter had just bought a house nearby. He told me they'd be happy to deliver the next time... Had someone carry my order out to the car for me. More importantly, the pizza was DELICIOUS and the char bbq wings were crunchy and flavorful. Will definitely be in our food rotation while we work on her house and for sure after it's done; what a great establishment!!

A friend recommended their subs and it was a bumpy ride(all my fault), but so worth it. I unknowingly placed an order at the Main St. location. When a pickup was attempted on Clinton, I realized my mistake. Replaced the order at the Clinton St. restaurant and called to make good on my original order. The owner wouldn’t let me pay for the mistake I made. The Yum-Yum sub was out of this world. I can’t wait to try the others on the menu. This place is a true gem to the area.

I don't like pizza and I don't believe in god, but this mannah was kissed by Jesus and sent from the heavens on the wings of angels to give us mere mortals a glimpse of what the afterlife is like. This is the cheese pull we have all been coveting since The Goofy Movie in 1995.

This was our first time ordering from Lovejoy Pizza, Main street location. We ordered The ultimate veggie pizza. Anthony (the owner) personally delivered it to us. Asking if it was our first time having this pizza, he said we wouldn't be disappointed. He was right!! 10/10 will be ordering from here again. I highly recommend giving them a try if you have not yet.

The absolute BEST pizza in Buffalo. I don't care what anyone else says, this is the pinnacle of pizza. You could try to make something better and you would fail. I don't make the rules. Lovejoy Pizza doesn't make the rules either (though they should), but they do set the bar so high it would be inconceivable, unbelievable, and impossible to find a better pizza.

I’ve been meaning to try this place for a long time, finally did on Saturday just before the Bills game. 45-hour wait, to be expected and definitely NOT disappointed. My wife isn’t a big pizza eater and when she said today, two days after just placing our first order that she wanted it again I was pleasantly excited. Our pizza was perfect and the wings were super crispy and very tasty. We can’t wait to try other items on the menu, they all sound fantastic. Now the tough part is trying to decide which to choose next knowing that the pizza is in the back of my mind always.

We ordered a bbq chicken pizza & it was phenomenal. That’s the first time I’ve ever had pizza from there and I’ll definitely order this pizza again for sure. I should’ve took the photo when we first got the pizza. 🍕 🥰

Best place for pizza in Buffalo! I've been a repeat customer for years! Whether it's pizza and wings for a Bills game or you just need a couple window slices for dinner, Lovejoy pizza is the spot!

My go-to for pizza and subs. Much of the staff has been there forever so you're not gonna get some noob making your food. No matter how busy they get, your food will be ready on time and is consistently awesome. I've been getting pizza here since 2011 and I had one issue with the cheese slid too much on a delivery. They insisted on bringing me another pie, and I've been a faithful customer ever since. Stuffed pepper pizza is pricey but sooooo yummy. Above average tacos and salads. Cheeseburger & Turkey club subs are always on point. Can't say enough great things. I also like Carbones down the road but they are so hit or miss with quality compared to LOVEJOY & it has everything to do with the staffs preparing.

Hadn't had a sub in a while so I mixed it up for a change w a Clinton Street sub. When I picked it up, the owner handed it to me and told me I was gonna love it. Let me say one thing. It was Perfection! Meat quality was outstanding, tomato was sweet and thick enough to taste. Roll was crusty enough to soak up the juicy tomato and mayo without falling apart. Owner is right. I did love it.

These gentlemen that own this joint are my best friends! They have great tasting pizza, subs WTF everything on the menu is great! Salute! To the staff and drivers! Most importantly Salute to John and Tammy Skotarzak for making sure my mother was safe and comfortable while she was waiting for her food! I'm going to use a line out of the movie Goodfellas! One day! One day! Big John walked my mother to her car with chicken wings and steak in the grass! You know why? Out of respect! Salute to the Lovejoy Pizzeria and crew for great food and pizza! Pizza is great!!! Excellent wings, sides, and subs. Reasonable prices and full of flavor and unique combinations. A Buffalo staple with friendly service.

Got a pizza to pack for hiking - sausage, onion, peppers and mushrooms. Good sauce, plenty of toppings and cheese. Dough is good, although a bit thick for my likeing. Stood up well in the pack.

The pizza was good. I would give it a seven out of 10. It had quite a bit of pepperoni on it. The crust wasn't too thick. Plenty of sauce and pepperoni was good. People were friendly and this is just a place where you pick up a pizza there's no place to eat.

Food absolutely amazing! We got a small pizza with extra pepperoni. I have a 4 month old baby and I was by myself had to bring her in and the nice gentleman that cashed me ask Aiden I'm pretty sure was his name to carry my pizza out absolutely amazing people. I loved everything about this place, the people the food everything.

Another Saturday, another Buffalo pizza! I wanted to give Lovejoy Pizza another try and, all-in-all, it was fine. On a Saturday, around 5pm, I called and placed an order for pickup. The gentleman on the phone told me to pick it up in 40-45 minutes. I arrived around 40 minutes later and was able to walk in, pay, and pick up my pizza without any issues. The customer service here was good, nothing to complain about, but nothing noteworthy. Just note that if you're paying with a credit card, be prepared to wait a few minutes as it takes a few minutes for their machine to process everything. This Saturday, I ordered a small (12", six slice) Big John's "World Famous" Stuffed Hot Pepper pizza. Overall, it was ok, the best part about it was the sliced stuffed hot peppers. The stuffing was a six cheese blend so there's no meat on this pizza. The red sauce was on the sweeter side and plentiful. Just a quick side-note: I'm used to stuffed hot pepper pizzas being made with a white, creamy, more garlic-style sauce base but Lovejoy uses their red sauce. I would've preferred a white sauce base but the red sauce was fine, this is just my personal preference so ymmv! The Romano, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses on top were fine but, oddly, no real standout flavor between them. The last time I grabbed a pizza from here, the dough was a bit overdone. This time, the dough was a bit underdone and the crust had no crisp to it. The pizza needed to stay in the oven for another five minutes. The size of the pizza was good though and filled me up without leaving me "stuffed". When it comes to the price of this pizza, it was a bit steeper than compared to other Buffalo pizza shops. I've had some time to think about and compare Lovejoy Pizza to the other Buffalo pizza shops. They're okay, but the true test came when I had family over and they wanted pizza - Lovejoy Pizza was immediately taken out of the discussion. Lovejoy isn't bad pizza, but there are better, more affordable, pizza shops in Buffalo.

So I've had food from here before and have never had a problem always been great. However ordered wings and peppers Sunday evening and I was highly disappointed! The wings were dry! Look at the photos! What? At least don't count those pieces towards my order! And the peppers were so greasy! BF first and last time to have food there! A waste of $50!

I attempted to order 3 lrg pies + 100 wings mid-week 6:30pm for nearby delivery. Guy says, "Let me ASK the DRIVER IF we deliver to your AREA". Can you guess? 'Sorry sir, it's too far out of our area'. (laugh hard here because I live 1.9 miles away in Chktg). $300+ order they ducked up. SCREW L.J.P

their food has always been good. the waits are as expected and service is attentive. would recommend this or the big johns stuffed pepper pizza.

This sub was AMAZING! I've been eating this pizza for years as my sister lives on North Ogden and we would always get food from here. I haven't tried anything else besides the pizza and wings (which I recommend) until my boyfriend wanted a chicken finger sub. So I picked up a "Love Joy Street sub" for him which is a chicken finger sub with stuffed hot peppers. My god this was the best chicken finger sub I ever ate. There are sliced stuffed hot peppers underneath the layered chicken fingers! It tasted as if they spread the stuffed pepper insides on the roll like a mayonnaise. It was so tasty with the flavors of the spicy chicken fingers. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great pizza joint or some delicious subs!!

We've never had a bad pizza from this place, but we only order one maybe once or twice a year, so I don't know if I can be a fair judge. Yeah, they're pricey, but they're generous with the cheese and toppings, so you pretty much get your money's worth. The stuffed hot pepper pizza is really delish. Whoever first had the idea of putting sliced stuffed hot peppers on top of a pizza is a genius! I prefer a zippier sauce, but at least it tastes like tomatoes. Some pizza sauces I've had are so sweet, it might as well be ketchup. Crust is regulation - not too thick, not too thin, nicely crisp edges, not mushy in the center. Plus, you can get things like sesame seeds or garlic or cajun seasoning added to the crust free of charge. All in all, a good, dependable pizza.

This is one of my favorites pizza places and although I have to travel a ways to get it.. it's worth it. I heard about the stuffed hot pepper pizza and knew I had to try it (you should all know by now stuffed peppers are my life)! We did the speciality pizza but also a basic cheese and pep and both were amazing! They are pretty pricey especially for a specialty but believe me it's worth paying a little extra to get a good pie.

Lovejoy Is Legit The Kansas Steak pizza was amazing! Visiting from out of town we stopped in not knowing what to expect... but was surprised. Great amount of steak, cheese etc and the crust was really good! Split a large between 3 people and had a few slices left.

Gotta slice to go so I could eat during my walk to Anchor Bar. Fuck it! I'm a fatass that was super hungry. Plus, I thought there would be a wait at Anchor Bar. I'm just thinking ahead here. They do the oven reheat for your slice. Love that reheat in the oven! It was a good slice...it's light with a slightly crispy bottom and the sauce had a really nice flavor. It's better than a lot of slices I've had in NYC. Don't sleep on this spot. The dude who served me up was cool AF, too.

Frank goes out of his way every time we come in. My bf is from the area and turned me on to this amazing pizza/ wing spot. The sauce is a good not sweet or acidic. The pizza crust is buttery and garlic undertones. The wings are crispy and saucy and the service is phenomenal.

My sister moved to Buffalo recently and we decided to try them out a couple of weeks ago since they were reasonably close. We called several pizzerias around the area first and Love Joy was the best price we found so far. The guy taking our order was patient and funny. The pizza and wings were great, all ten of us were obsessing. My sister now has their menu tacked onto her wall.

Usually this pizzeria is one of my favorites, but lately it's a big hit or miss. I recently ordered a party pizza for my grandsons birthday party and it was very sloppily put together and way to much sauce . They have been very inconsistent with the pizza lately.

This is an all star pizzeria. The staff is always friendly, but most importantly the pizza is always delicious. They also have great wings, fingers and subs. I've visited both locations multiple times and I've never had an issue with anything.

Nice guys, great pizza. Do I sound like a commercial? Lovejoy sounds like someone who gets off on the good things in life. Unfortunately it's a district, also known as Iron Island, and it's a bit of a white supremacist area. Hopefully it's getting better, I've heard some bad stories and often felt uncomfortable with my not quite white skin in these parts. Personal Experience: The slices here are good. The downtown location is really good too. They're not the best in town, and because they sometimes would give me them lukewarm, I'll give them a 4. But it's borderline. It's close to a 5 star pizza, and I gave the one downtown a 5 just because it had better service - amazing service in fact. Carbone's is just down the road so there's competition, Pizza Express is nearby too. My rec is to try all three slices and decide for yourself which is the best. Buffalo actually has the best Pizza in the world - it's not quite like New York's, and not quite like Chicago's, it's an entity unto itself and it's the best I've ever had. This place isn't really a good example of just how good it can be. Instead, I recommend trying one of the big 8: Bozanna's (Clarence), Avenue (Broadway & Bailey, East Buffalo), Bob's Poplar (Cheektowaga), Blasdell (southtowns), Imperial (South Buffalo), Zip's (North Buffalo), Francos (Eggert location in Amherst), and Yogi's (Akron). The last one is more Brick-Oven style than typical Buffalo style, but all 8 are better-than-sex slices. I need to go back and give these guys a second try, will be doing so soon.

Good fresh food pizzas always delicious the only issue I have is how early they close. But I understand people need to be with their families Lovejoy Pizza is worth a try. The Reiman St. Steak sub I suggest highly

Ordered a chicken parm Sub and turkey bacon sub. My brother liked his sub, me not so much. Probably the worst thing i ever tried or actually payed for. Was a chicken parm sub...no cheese so its chicken finger in sauce on a sub roll. Fingers looked and tasted like they were cooked in sauce insanely mushy. Roll was mushy. I could of ate the thing with a spoon. I should of ordered a pizza. How do you let something that bad leave the restaurant? I wanted to complain..but don't like to complain because i don't trust people to not mess with my food. Didn't want a replacement at all. To bad i really liked the pizza there but that sub was unforgivable. My dog was happy. Luckily lots of pizza in buffalo. I ordered this Tuesday 26.2017

If I could give a lower rating I would. Ordered a large pizza and 20 wings waited almost a hour for it to be delivered 2 blocks away, specifically asked for it to be cut into squares because there's several kids here and there wouldn't be enough if it was cut into regular slices, paid $41 with delivery only to find out it was cut into normal slices and cold. Called and told them that we really needed it cut into squares because that's what we asked for and the guy and the manager was very ignorant and basically told us it was "too bad". Never again! Take your money elsewhere! There's too many pizza places in Buffalo that value your business and appreciate their customers and this pizza place is NOT one of them! I will NEVER order from here again! Oh yeah I forgot to add, the guy on the phone told us to make sure we lose their number! Worst customer service EVER!!!

Best pizza in buffalo. Better than any of the places you're thinking of right now. Don't even bother arguing. I live a half hour away and have no issues driving to pick this pizza up, that's how good it is. When someone asks what Buffalo,ny pizza is like, this is the first place that comes to mind. Sincerely, the pizza kid.

In my continuing search for pizza I can crave, we tried out Lovejoy a few weeks ago. Lovejoy was recommended, so we decided to give it a shot... I wasn't impressed by the pizza, but I think I need to come to terms with the fact that Buffalo pizza just isn't my bag. There was nothing bad about the pizza, but I didn't think much about it the next day... and I had no cravings for it the day after that... good pizza should make you want it everyday... every meal... willing to eat it standing up like Louis CK in his opening credits, licking mozzarella grease off your fingers. He enjoyed the wings, so there's that.

Amazing food at a reasonable price. Seem to be ran by young people and they are about their business. Check it out if you want good food.

We moved to Sloan which is right down the street from Cheektowaga where we used to live. We never really had a great pizza place there. Just okay pizza that never killed the craving. My brother who always suggested the worst places suggested this pizza place. Lovejoy pizza. Well since we were knew to the neighborhood we decided to try it out. He was finally right! Pizza to die for! Amazing!! Then we tried the calzone. HUGE worth the price. Tasty! THEN THE WINGS! We always ask for them to be crispy and saucy and medium. I know it's hard for you to make them crispy and saucy but they can do it and I don't know how. It's not drenched in sauce but a nice layer under all the wings. There medium is the PERFECT butter hot. The place that actually gives a decent amount of blue cheeses with there amount of wings. Most pizza places when you say saucy pizza they won't because 9 times out of 10 you get complaints. To soggy or the cheese ran off because of all the sauce. So I have to tell them yes it's messy it's okay and they totally get it and will make it saucy for me. Haha. Only complaint is about the pizza is that sometimes once in a great while the dough is different tasting. Instead of soft and flavorful it'll be hard and car boardy. I don't know what they do to get it that way sometimes it's odd. But it's not often. Still worth coming back every time even if it's that one random weird fluke. Recently we had an incident and I actually had to complain and call them. They were going to only give us a free 20 wing right then and there. I think to keep the customers happy and coming back they say that quick. My problem was I had a whole fifty wings we didn't touch. And had more then thirty theft to bring back to them the next day and some were tossed out between six people. So after they searched all there receipts from the night before they finally found mine after like five minutes on hold. And the very sweet guy coming on every so often to apologize for the wait. Saw my receipt and credited us a whole bucket.

Good pizza in an area that was once known for it's many pizzerias and restaurants. Unfortunately, many of the aformentioned are no longer with us. Pizza is good. Wings are a decent size, not the pigeon product that many places foist upon us but also not the clubbers that a few special place offer. Staff is very friendly and open to suggestions. Truly "service with a smile". If you find yourself in this neck of the woods and you crave good pizza, give'em a call and you won't be disappointed.

I have tried every pizza place in this area and this is by far the best one! The staff is always friendly the pizza always good (even if you just get a slice) and the wings are amazing! As a born and raised Buffalonian I give it my stamp of approval!

Ive ordered pizza just about 28 mins ago and ordered with the garlic crust my pizza upon arrival was soggy and tasted nasty the delivery driver with the grey hair and goatee was very volger as i welcomed him in to my home to show him my pizza was soggy and the crust was not cooked all the way. His reply was "wtf iam i suppose to do.after talking to the manager over there and telling him i want my money back and they can come get there food. He told me because i stated i didnt want to do business with them no more he was not going to give me my cash back. I feel if my food is soggy and iam paying 41.96 for pizza and wings i should atleast get a cooked pizza.

Absolutely fantanstic! Friendly service, excellent food and fair prices. I have lived in this neighborhood for a few years, and I can honestly say that this is the best pizzeria in the neighborhood. The other pizzaria down the street is sub par. EVERYBODY who lives in this area can attest to the 180° differences between the two. LoveJoy pizza is superior in every sense!

Customer service is awful. Whoever answers he phone needs a lesson on customer service. Would never order again.

Good pizza in the area. Great overall taste and consistency. The guys in there are really nice and it's a pretty close walk for anyone in the area.

Had a chicken finger sub from here for lunch and it was OK. Normal size sub, which could use some bigger fingers in my opinion. The fingers themselves were cooked well though and were crispy still even after it was brought to the office. Overall it had a heavy taste of butter to it more than anything else. Basically could have asked would you like a little hot sauce with your butter for these fingers. Everyone else in the office says the taco's and taco salads are the bomb though, might try one of those next time they order.

Ordered a triple order of wings mild for pickup. The guy told me 25 minutes, they were done in 20. When I walked in I was greeted by I believe the manager. Very nice guy, addressed me by my name, thanked me for my order and wished me a goodnight. The wings were fantastic! Some of the best in the area. I would definitely recommend Lovejoy Pizza to anyone!

i been going to lovejoy pizza for some time now. it is by far the best pizza I have had in the last 20 years plus. there pizza, subs and wings are always perfect. I have never had anything bad out of this place because they never use cheap ingredients or change there recipes. the owner and staff are always beyond friendly and happy to see you. once you go to lovejoy pizza you will never go anywhere else. nobody in south buffalo or anywhere else compares to the quality of lovejoy pizza. you guys are the best keep up the great work

Best Pizza in Buffalo. I was lucky to be introduced to this place when I moved into the Village of Sloan and no longer get pizza from anywhere else. The people are amazing, the food is awesome and it's never an overly long wait for food (even when football is on). I would recommend this place to anyone.
