THIS PLACE IS A MUST VISIT!!! I loved coming in here and looking around for different books to buy and add to my collection. I had seen this place online through IG and then did some research, decided to come in w/ my best friend and it was worth the trip. Cute and cozy, so welcoming as soon as I walked into the door the staff greeted us. Got some book purchases and then headed over the to the Cafe and got 2 of their signature red velvet cappuccino's. So good and then bonus we were told that during the day it is a cafe but after hours it converts into wine bar at night which is really cool! Will absolutely be back and highly recommend anyone on the area to come on by but especially book lovers, you definitely don't want to pass up and miss this place!

Google
Cute book store selling all sub genres of romance and more, like cookbooks, cards, dried flower bouquets, Boston themed gifts, self care items, and knickknacks. Service at the wine bar was great, with food and drink on theme. There is also a cafe during the day. They have a great chai latte.

Google
SO CUUUUUTEEEEEE! An excellent little arrangement of (mostly romantic) books from all over, little trinkets, and decor. I popped in mostly to poke around and waste time, but found a new read that I'm super jazzed about! (Mostly into horror and mystery novels, which they do have a small section for!) Solid service. It's a seat yourself, and they'll come to you kind of place, but I wasn't waiting long at all, and the servers gave me just enough space to enjoy the book I picked up, but were attentive when I was ready to order/needed more water. Jess, in particular, was a delight. Really made me feel welcome, and was a pleasure to chat with! Also, mega kudos to the gal working the espresso bar (didn't catch her name), because the Red Velvet/House cappuccino was TO DIE FOR. One of the best cappuccinos I've had in the Boston area. Tastefully chocolatey, but still appealing to the coffee snob in my heart. All told, 5/5 *for sure*. I've already been pestering my friends to come with me next time we're in the area, and am evangelizing for y'all to anyone who likes reading or coffee that happens to strike up a conversation with me. Next time I'm by, I'm excited to try the alcoholic beverages, and more of the coffee-related menu!

SO CUTE!!! I love romance books so I was like a kid in a candy store. I love the way each romance genre is organized. So so cute. The girls at the check out were so nice too. I would 100% come again.

Beyond giddy to finally have a bookstore like this in Boston! The selection of gifts, books, bookish merch, and more is so wonderfully curated. The staff are all friendly and helpful with their recommendations and assistance. I love how books are organized within sub-genres and tropes as well. I will absolutely be visiting again soon, and cannot wait for the cafe and wine bar to open too. The vibes are simply immaculate. This shop knows what their audience wants and delivers!

Went to one of their grand opening events and loved it, despite having to wait nearly 2 hours outside to get inside! The store was very pretty with decorations and had a cozy atmosphere. A good portion was dedicated to all types of romance novels, as expected, but they also had a selection of other books. They had so many cute trinkets for sale too! Didn't try the café, but there were a few tables available. For the event, they gave everyone who made a purchase a beautiful little rose bouquet, which was so lovely! I would definitely go back again to browse, hopefully with less of a crowd!

Nick (manager) was a FANTASTIC customer service rep for me when an order of mine got lost. Everyone at this store is incredibly kind, patient, and thorough. On top of that, the bookstore itself is adorable and has tons of wonderful merchandise. Highly recommend to all book lovers and souvenir shoppers!!

Google
Such a cute bookstore and a welcome addition to the Harvard Square area. They totally nailed it on the cozy romance vibe and the book selection is absolutely incredible. Also love that they have other things that’ll make great gifts for my other romance readers! The cafe and wine bar inside is a fabulous addition and great idea. George Howell coffee adds the cherry on top to this already amazing spot!

Yelp
Absolutely adorable bookstore!! It focuses mainly on romance. ANY TYPE OF ROMANCE YOH COULD WANT! The selection is insane. They also have a section that's "blind date with a book". They wrap the book in brown paper and give you a few bullet points describing it and you just take the plunge. I did this with a few girlfriends and we all bought one then grabbed a coffee and sat on the patio to do an unveiling. Such a fun concept. There's also a smaller section of other non-romance books too so don't be afraid to bring a friend who only hits the historical section. The staff is super friendly and very helpful if you need anything. The prices are pretty standard for books. Maybe a little more than Amazon or sometimes a little less, but it all seemed very fair. They also have a rewards program to sign up and save. There's serval sitting areas if you want to stay and read or work on your laptop. And a coffee shop right inside. Will definitely be back to this store!

Yelp
What a great store!! They have a wonderful selection of both gifts and books, plus a great independent store vibe which is hard to find nowadays in Harvard Square. They have lots more than just romance books, they also have a good selection of general books on the shelves. The staff are warm and welcoming, and there are comfy seats and a little cafe. At the cafe, I was excited to try the George Howell coffee but to me it didn't taste very good, it seemed very acidic. Maybe I don't have a refined enough palette? Or perhaps they need to clean the coffeemaker more, IDK. But regardless the counter staff were also lovely and I want to support any independent store regardless.

Yelp
Really lovely spot to browse a wide selection of books. Sorted by genres such as sports romance, contemporary, and mythology, there's something for everyone. My friend and I also enjoyed drinks and treats. I got a sticky bun and iced matcha, both of which I really enjoyed. There's also clean bathrooms. This isn't a place to do work on a laptop though.

Yelp
" Let the love begin " What a great time we had in this store . Well my husband not so much . But I got lost in this store it's just everything. A romance galore . You'll love this store as much as I. This store was much needed on Brattle street . Let the love begin! Parking is limited but manageable. The vibe is super warm . A huge selection of books of romance & love however you want to look at it , lol.

Yelp
This bookstore is sooo cute. A must visit when visiting the Boston/ Cambridge area. This bookstore has an amazing aesthetic! Even before you go inside there's a wicked cute seating area. The day I visited in June it wasn't crowded at all. Apart from the huge selection of books there was also a some many great gift options whether your buying for yourself or someone else. A booklovers paradise. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
The grand opening of Lovestruck books in Harvard Square! There's a wine bar and coffee at the area's first romance bookstore. Bostons first romance bookstore is a great addition to Harvard Square. In addition to books there are unique gifts to choose from. They also seem to have a calendar full of upcoming events. The location is cozy with indoor and outdoor seating. Though it is a romance bookstore, I did find some other genres. I loved how the different types of romance books were organized so it's so easy to find what you're looking for. There's a lot of different books to choose from. The staff is friendly. I had an iced mocha from George Howell Coffee to go and the coffee and pastries are on par price wise with what I'd expect in the area. Check out my TikTok for my recap: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT28J7kRU/ Cheers!

Yelp
If you're looking for gifts for your friends or girlfriends, this is the perfect spot!! I love the cute gift options, ranging from hand made jewelry to candles, cute robes to curvy cups! With their book selection, there was everything from YA to the history of women! Prices were very reasonable for gifts! I also enjoyed the vibrant colors with a majority of pink and other bright hues! Loved how things were nicely spaced out and showcased. I think they are planning to open a George Howell coffee shop next door with some cute velvet pink seats and white tables to add to the aesthetics. Overall a great place to check if you're visiting Harvard Square!!

Yelp
Such a cute and fun bookstore! There is an outdoor seating area, a coffee shop (which becomes a wine bar at night,) tons of books and a lot of other fun things like candles, stickers, hats, etc. the people who work there were kind and the coffee was delicious. There is a ton of variety for the books- I didn't realize there were so many romance sub genres. There are also some general fiction and nonfiction books too for those who aren't into romance! It's adorable and in a great place. There is limited street parking nearby but also some garages available. Definitely worth going to!

Yelp
OHMYGOD Boston's first romance bookstore! I can spend hours here. I went there a few weeks after the opening and there was still foot traffic - which is very expected! The space was spacious enough that it wasn't too packed. Once you walk in, you are greeted by all the romance books and cute knick knacks that you won't be able to resist. They also have their tote bag and baseball caps which are very pink and cuteee. The book options are endless; they are sub-genres of romance books. I also appreciated the hand-picked books by the staff and all the personal notes. It makes picking books much easier too. The prices are also standard. They also have ample seating for the boyfriends or if you just want to sit down and read. George Howell coffee is also opening right next door soon so this is just a perfect combo for your next girls day out or just a solo date. -10/10 for the book lover girlies

Yelp
Lovestruck Books is such a cute concept. I stopped by with my partner for drinks and pastries. The mix of a coffee shop, wine bar, and romantic bookstore is perfect. They have a great selection of books and small gift items. We tried the matcha, red velvet drink, and tiramisu. The drinks were okay, and the tiramisu gave us a stomachache. Still, I'd come back to browse and buy books.

Yelp
A very cozy bookstore focused on romance books. The various sections are divided into subsections including romantic comedy, romantic, young adult. Super organized. As expected the environs were very pink and very red! Apparently a café is being built and they plan to host events and readings. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Yelp
What's great shop! I've never seen a bookstore so crammed (in the best way possible)... months after opening. The energy is great. You can tell the employees and baristas are so proud of this place. The design makes best use of the space, which is surprisingly larger than you would think. Don't forget to sign up for emails and get $10 credit after you spend $200! And check out the events page on their website. The area is great with lots of little shops and restaurants nearby if you're looking for that.

Yelp
Not just a bright, cheerful bookshop, it's also a place to relax and peruse a selection of books you might not get a chance to see otherwise.

Tessa S.

Yelp
This is my favorite bookstore! The employees are very kind and informative, the selection of books contains every romance novel your heart can dream of. The ambiance is incredible, I have the best time perusing around the store and stopping by the cafe/wine bar.

Morgan U.

Yelp
Lovely bookstore with such a welcoming and kind vibe to it! All of the staff are happy to be there and give incredible service. We went to the wine bar before browsing books and it was very nice. The LoveStruck cocktail was delicious and they staff were knowledgeable about all the wines. They let you taste a few if you are unsure about liking it or not. The pics attached do not do the place justice - please check it out for yourself and enjoy!

Yelp
YESSSSS ITS HERE!!! A store focused on the romance genre. The best genre of all! This store is amazing. Knowledgeable staff wandering around ready to answer questions, lots of answers to my questions about where books were shelved and when books would be coming in, and recommendations that my teenager LOVED. The shelves are organized by type eg contemporary, paranormal, YA, new adult, historical, romantasy, and a cute little section for witchy books. I read A LOT of romance and I found something from nearly ever author I really love. There are just so many books out there and Lovestruck seemed to have at least 1 from each author but definitely not a whole series, for example. That said, just order the book from them and come back. Or, get the book that is there, figure out if you like the author, and make requests from the store or your library for the others. It's enough to get a flavor of all the biggest authors in the industry. Just not likely your fave book will actually be in stock. My teen wanted a book from a popular author that was just released and they were out of stock. Good for them! But, patience butterfly. There's so much in the store beyond books- and even books that aren't romance like nonfiction, poetry, and a kids/middle reader section. Lots of adorable romance themed items are available like mugs and pillows and their bookxtevert sweatshirts are adorable. There are couches and chairs all over if you want to sit and peruse options. And 3 tables set up over where the George Howell shop will open soon. There are multiple all-gender single bathrooms with changing tables and a drinking fountain the back, too. The vibe is amazing and I was thrilled it was so crowded. Loved the staff I chatted with and the free book heart stickers at checkout. Can't wait for a clearance section to get cheaper books but otherwise happy to pay bookstore prices to such a great place. Romance readers unite! We have a spot now!
