20 Vegan Burgers To Try in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"Though steaming bowls of pho and cool summer rolls dominate the menu at Loving Hut on El Cajon Blvd., the American dishes do not pander to timid tastes. The house-made mushroom patty of the Loving Hut Burger comes smothered in thick oyster mushroom sauce, cupped by iceberg lettuce with tomatoes, pickles, onions, and more sauteed mushrooms. Served with a pile of fries, this is one of the best veggie burger bargains in the city." - Kelly Bone

I’m not vegan, but this place was delicious! Had the cauliflower lemon pepper wings, they were so crunchy and yummy and the dip it came with tasted just like ranch sour cream! Mixed vegetables were very tasty too, the “steak” tasted like meat it weirded me out at first, they told me it was made from gluten. The tofu in there was spot on, I love tofu and preferred that over the “steak” to be honest. Highly recommend for vegans and non-vegans!

This is my favorite vegan restaurant in San Diego — especially this location! The food is always fresh and super delicious, and the little market inside is full of unique plant-based goodies I hadn’t seen before. I also really love that they care for a stray cat near the restaurant — such a kind and compassionate touch. 💚

I just had an amazing experience at the Loving Hut Plantbased Vegan restaurant in San Diego. If you’re into plant-based eating or just love delicious food, this place is an absolute must-visit. They’ve got a fantastic mix of Eastern and Western dishes that really cater to all tastes. I tried one of their burgers and onion rings. The burger was full of flavor, and those onion rings were crispy with light oil. It’s the kind of comfort food that makes you feel good. But the highlight of my visit was definitely the fresh-made gluten-free bite sized mini-donuts. They were incredible! Light, and low sugar with a melted chocolate sauce for you to dunk as you please. Definitely a treat you don’t want to miss. The staff were friendly and passionate about the food they serve. They made sure I had everything I needed and were genuinely excited to share their recommendations from the menu. The vibe at Loving Hut is perfect for small groups or to eat by yourself. It’s cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their delicious offerings.

The lucky lemongrass dish is amazing. I’ve never had anything quite like it. I dream of this dish often and look forward to seeing when I can have it again. I’m not vegan but I’m looking forward to trying their other menu items too. I also really love that they carry the Stubborn soda brand :)

Original: Lowkey, kind of a bum restaurant. As a vegan myself, I do like it. It just their food is soooo basic ahhahhahaha. I rated five stars because the food was enjoyable enough for me not to hate anything about this place. Why did I call this restaurant a bum? Just read the other reviews, and they removed so much stuff that I liked that I don't even like going here anymore. The food now is so painfully inoffensive that I can't really critique it negatively. Like imagine the most nonoffending vegan food you have ever tasted. That is how I feel right now. Like, is it good? I guess... But like I wish it had some5hing more EDIT: Actually, there are really good now!!! EDIT 2: Hmmmm, I should probably explain myself. So I went back to the restaurant to try some new item, and [[WOWE]], was it an improvement. Like... I feel like the food now got an increase in flavor profile. I don't know if it was because it was the new items (the cali burrito and cauliflower wring), or they just improved the taste... but I need to order the original item again to double check. So yeah, I would definitely recommend going here :3

Google
What a phenomenal restaurant that just happens to be vegan. The Cali burrito was insane and the vegan chocolate milk shake was phenomenal. Great atmosphere and outstanding service as well. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

Google
Food AND service are EXCELLENT! I have taken multiple Non Vegans here and they too rave about the food. One of my most Non Vegan friends (the guy owns 3 traeger grills/smokers) absolutely loves the California Burrito here. He enjoys it so much that he stops by Loving Hut when he is in town and grabs one... ON HIS OWN and then quickly texts me to show off. He loves that it's "very easy to get to and is located right off the 15 freeway with plenty of parking" -his words. My Go To is either The "Spicy Cha Cha" dish with white rice and a salad or the "Kung Pao" ....as I type this I wish I was sitting there with chopsticks in hand.... now I am hungry... so good. They offer a classic "American Style" burger/sandwich menu. The spicy chicken sandwich is ridiculously good. Have to mention the "SeaCo Catch platter" bc If you haven't tried SeaCo Catch yet... it's the best vegan version of fysh anywhere and they are a San Diego based company. The SHAKES are freaking the best shakes in SD... seriously. This last time I visited, the server mentioned home made lemonade... I went with the Pina Colada style and WOW. It was 32 oz and over the top good. I ordered another one with no ice to take home and put it in the freezer. The Loving Hut in Mira Mesa is an absolute MUST. The FOOD, the Vibe, the Drinks, the Service and the SHAKES.

Google
A few years ago I would have given this Loving Hut 5 stars, unfortunately more recently things have gone down hill. Is it still the best vegan food in San Diego? I would no longer say so and a main reason is the fact that it's not organic, the portions have gotten small and even some organic restaurants are cheaper. The menu ranges from Thai food and Asian fusion to American comfort food. The menu is a little different each time I come here but it has stayed mostly the same. One questionable decision was removing the Surf and Turf burrito and just having fish tacos now instead. Upon looking at the menu online there is a friendly but questionable message that reads: "Modifications kindly declined". With the prices for items here I have to question that decision and the reason for it itself. While the outside of the restaurant looks cute with a little hobbit door it is also very much attached to the cleaners building next door, not exactly the most appetizing thing. As far as the inside of the restaurant well, it's not very special and feels dated which is why I usually order to-go. The food is not organic and that's worth pointing out, especially at the price-point. In recent years the prices have not only gone up but the portions have gotten smaller and the sides that are included with some items are especially small. For example I ordered the Cali burrito and while it comes with a side of chips that portion was very small (see picture). My girlfriend ordered the chow chow garlic noodles with "shrimp" and while it was good it literally just had 3 pieces of "shrimp" and chowmein noodles and was $16. My Cali burrito was cut in half despite ordering to-go which is a big no-no in my book. Overall the prices and small portions make me question if it's worth it to come here again, as much as I want to support small-ish businesses. Additionally the hours are a little strange

Yelp
I wasnt yelping back then when I was a vegetarian for a long time. This place has been here for a long time. I used to live in the condos behind this restaurant and I often went with my best friend who wasnt vegan but enjoyed plant based foods. I loved everything from their fries, to their fried rice and most of all their very flavorful eggplant and tofu. Right now I really want to try their pandan cake. Looks delicious. This was a staple for me back then, but I've since started eating meat this year. I just got off a prescatarian lifestyle and im not going to lie, I love meat!! However, Loving Hut comes really close to the flavor of GOOD food that has meat. I really love how packed with flavor each dish is with their ingredients. Today was nostalgia for me. I got my fav eggplant dish and substituted it with a salad instead of rice. Also to note, the people that work here are so friendly and kind. The inside is so cute and filled with doggy love! I may come again tomorrow!

Yelp
I came in for lunch while in town ans the food was good. Someone came in because she thought I was Tabitha Brown. If you don't know she is a wonderful lady who has a wholesome social media persona and is vegan. It is a fast casual kind of place.

Yelp
I've dined at Loving Hut in Mira Mesa several times over the years because the food and service are consistently terrific. I ate lunch there a couple of weeks ago and finally have a chance to share this. I ordered a bao bun and katsu curry -- and, boy, did they hit the spot! The bun was perfectly steamed and it was so yummy. And the katsu curry was delicious and satisfying. I really appreciated having the option of serving it with brown rice, too, because I watch my glucose/sugar intake. It was a generous portion that I couldn't finish at the restaurant, so it was wonderful to enjoy the leftover curry and rice. For desert, there was an option to try mini "Chani's Donuts" (different proprietor than Loving Hut), so I thought I'd give vegan donuts a go (I LOVE DONUTS). They were served with chocolate sauce. They were okay; a tad chewy, so not 100% to my liking. I'm glad I tried them, but I wouldn't get them, again. The server was very warm, friendly, and professional, too. Yay!

Yelp
Came here to celebrate friend's birthday. I've been here a couple times before and always enjoyed their food. The server was really helpful and attentive, and the place was pretty cute and chill. Bonus points this place selling dog food and treats at the entrance, love that!

Yelp
okay okay okay , calm down it's just the best vegan ever . AGAIN !!!! remain calm , it's very delicious . They have a whole side menu for burgers and other tasty fried sides like tots and truffle tries ya heard ?! Every food item I saw looked scrumptious . I'm a sucker for the cha cha noodles myself ... see picture diva ! xoxoxoxo, love you loving hut

Yelp
I visited Loving Hut around 6:20 PM on a Thursday after work with my friend, who highly recommended it. It may look closed at first, but rest assured, it's open (at its outlined hours); the windows and doors were just blocked off to limit the direct heat and glare from the sun. The interior is nicely decorated, looks welcoming, and smells really pleasant. It also wasn't too crowded when we came. FOOD: Cha Cha Garlic Noodle (4.5/5) - Thick yellow noodles coated in a garlicky soy sauce. The noodles were of a wonderful texture, and I loved the sauce along with the garlic and raw green onion garnish. Super flavorful, but did get a little salty toward the end of the meal. It came with three crispy "shrimps." I am not a vegetarian/vegan and did not think this really tasted like shrimp... but it was still really good nonetheless. Orange Chick'n" - Can't rate this since I didn't really eat it; my friend ordered this and offered me a bite. I thought it was tasty and provided a picture of it. SERVICE: (5/5) The service here was amazing. Everyone was super sweet and attentive. Our waters remained filled, and our food came out in such a timely manner. TLDR// The establishment looks rather unassuming, but don't overlook it or you'll be missing out on some amazing vegan food. Will definitely be back to try more of their extensive menu. So yummy!

Yelp
Honestly, updating my previous review and adding photos. The service has been consistently pleasant and prompt and the food really is excellent. Other than minor textural cues, I wouldn't immediately guess the dishes are entirely vegan. With the introduction of Bens Burgers, it gives many more options for those looking to replace otherwise meaty options for vegan.

Yelp
Loving Hut is an all plant-based restaurant with great variety on their menu, and is a cozy restaurant to dine in. Their menu has a little bit of everything - burgers, noodles, burritos, chik'n, fish sandwiches, even spam musubi if I recall. I've eaten here plenty of times and the service is all fine, but everyone's food comes at different times. We were a party of 5 and it probably took 10 minutes for all of us to get our food after the first person received their plate. I'm also a homecook and although I'm not saying I cook all these foods at home (I won't make pad Thai if a Thai restaurant is down the street from me that would make it better than me), but their dishes are essentially inventive home cooked meals. My udon noodles came with a crispy chik'n patty, tofu, and a curry sauce that needed a bit more oomph. The noodles were either cooked too long and broke, or the udon noodles were cut because they were short noodles. I could essentially buy a prepared curry sauce and mix all of it together at home. What I'm trying to say is their food is easy to eat and dine with friends, but also nothing too special where I can't just make it at home. They use brands that are available to us in the grocery store.

Yelp
I can't believe how long it has been since last visiting. I've known Iris and Ted for over 10 years, yet it's been at least 5 years since stopping by the restaurant (partly due to college, post college, and moving around). First of all these two are gems - they are some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet and as restaurant owners, they do an incredible job looking after their employees, caring about the food they serve you, and the overall experience you have during each of your visits. You can't go wrong with anything here ... spicy cha cha, wonton soup, California burrito, fish tacos, eggplant stir fry, etc. ... I could go on and on. Also don't forget dessert! Although their previous baker retired, their pandan cake has always been a favorite of mine. You can't find it done like this anywhere else! I like the Loving Huts in AZ, but Iris and Ted has made their Loving Hut in SD just something very special. I would recommend this place to anyone, vegan or not, this place is a must!
google avatar

Louna N.

Yelp
First time having vegan cuisine in the SD area. Tried the Asian fusion entrées but they also have American and Mexican dishes. We ordered drunken noodles, katsu curry, and ube latte. I liked how they ask if you would like brown or white rice for the rice dishes. The soy protein was good and tasted like actual meat. Everything was flavorful. We cleaned the plates. Definitely going to return to try their other items ! The ube shake tasted like the ice cream. Friendly service. The only thing that irked me was that one of their waiters asked if we needed to-go boxes when we barely started eating our food...like bro we just sat down and our food just came out. Why you tryna kick us out ? Lol...otherwise highly recommend if you're looking for a vegan restaurant -- they have so many options for vegan and non-vegan foodies. Ambiance was cozy as they had cute decor and books around. They even had treats for cats and dogs for sale.
google avatar

Phin W.

Yelp
All I eat is steak and I didn't even miss it with this all Vegan meal. Garlic Cha Cha noodles were super good. My ube shake hit the spot, and the eggplant was really tasty over rice too. Staff was awesome and very personable. The restaurant felt very welcoming and it was nice and clean. I went with my vegan cousins to accommodate their diet but I would definitely go back by myself because the food was great!

Yelp
I've been coming here for years, before ben's burgers, and before the wild west burger became the outlaw. Since around the time the world shut down for the sickness in 2020, possibly prior. Since around the time the El Cajon Blvd location shut down and opened back up with new management and changes to the recipes (I miss the cha cha taco). The Mira Mesa location is normally my favorite burger spot. 09/24/25 I placed an order over the phone right at opening hours. When I got there, my order was incorrect in amount of meals. No biggie, we all make mistakes. But, while attempting to place the correct order, I noticed the counter was full of ants. If there's ants on the front counter, my imagination goes crazy wondering what could be lurking behind the kitchen doors. I've been vegan for 8 years, I'm pretty sure ants aren't vegan.

Ricardo M.

Yelp
Small and intimate restaurant in Mira Mesa serving vegan food. To start off, service was great- fast and really accommodating. They really care about their work there. 9/10 For the dishes I ordered the spam musubi- really yummy and they give you two huge ones which was perfect for sharing. The sauce was really nice and the substitute for the spam wasn't bad at all compared to the real deal. 7/10 For the main dish I ordered a burger and fries- nothing special here but unless you're really craving a burger try to avoid this dish. They kind of really hit the spot at recreating a McDonald meal which is really impressive of them especially since they are using no meat. Instead get some noodles because apparently those were really good according to my friends and worth revisit to try it out. Overall my burger is a 6/10. Total bill for two people was around $40. Also to pay go to the counter. They'll bill you there.

Julie L.

Yelp
If I could give them 10 stars I would!! Cant say a single bad thing about this place its crazy good I almost cant believe its 100% vegan!!! I had the wonton soup and crispy rolls, after trying both I couldn't contain myself and also ordered a fried rice due to how good the rolls and soup were. I've tried many vegan restaurants and this one tops them all. Mind blown for sure! Service is super quick and staff is very friendly. The ambiance of this place is really cute and cozy. Don't hesitate to give them a try!

Yelp
Ok I need to update this review because I have become a regular again here and recently this place has amazing service. I don't know what changed recently but the service is super friendly and nice. Food is always good here but the service used to be not so great but for the past few months the service is super good and I have become a regular just for these nice people who work there..
google avatar

Yelp
The food is always fresh and flavored brilliantly. Cha Cha fried rice and the Lucky Lemongrass dishes are very good. All variations of their loaded fries and items on the America fare menu (burgers) are also amazing. Its important to note that each loving hut is independently owned and operated. The menu items and food quality can vary significantly from one location to the other. - Mira Mesa location is the way to go.
google avatar

Derreck C.

Yelp
The restaurant was not packed the two times I went so getting seated was quick. The waitresses are nice and very helpful if you had any questions about the menu. We got the Ocean Rings, the Lucky Lemongrass, the Drunken Noodles, and the Katsu Curry. I really enjoyed the Ocean Rings, while they didn't have the expected texture of calamari I still really enjoyed them. I think the Drunken Noodles and Katsu curry were alright. I don't think I would try them again but I really enjoyed the Lucky Lemongrass. The flavors were spot on with this dish and it will probably be my go to for this restaurant. I do seeing myself come back and trying other things on their menu.

Yelp
Came here to take my sister out to lunch for her birthday (she is the vegan & I'm just up for a good meal). Let me tell you how impressed I was in flavor and portion! I can't wait to come back with my sister. The service was decent. The place was clean and well maintained. The food is was makes this place stand out.
google avatar

Cynthia O.

Yelp
My favorite vegan place! Food is always consistently delicious and flavorful! Some of my favorites dishes include Amazing Sautee/Fabulous Mongolian, Katsu curry, eggplant tofu, lucky lemongrass, cha cha fried rice and their soup selections. Believe me when I say you won't even miss the meat, especially if you are a huge meat eater. Oh and their desserts! So yummy! Love this place! Staff is always so friendly and the owner is super accommodating .
google avatar

Marilyn N.

Yelp
Service was great! First time visit and staff was so attentive and really helped to explain the menu as well as made great recommendations. Plenty of seatings, cute decorations and fresh flowers on each table. Spam was a hit with the kiddos, burger tasted great, pho was good- broth was nice and light, portion of the drunken noodles was extremely generous, ube shake was a bit too sweet.
google avatar

Elena K.

Yelp
We consistently have delicious food and good service when we visit, but today the service was so extraordinary I had to leave a review. Our server offered to take our picture with a Polaroid, brought a flower as a prop, and sent us home with a super cute picture. Who still does unexpected, no additional charge things like this?! Unexpected acts of kindness are the best. Today, we had the Nachos 2.0 and a cheeseburger and as expected, both were delectable. Highly recommend visiting when you're very hungry, as you'll want to try a few different options.

Yelp
I love loving hut ! My favorite is the lucky lemon grass but we decided to try something new this time around . The Texas fries were so delicious , loved the cheese and sour cream ! Also tried the bbq burger which was so flavorful and filling. Service is great ! As well as the place has vegan snacks and condiments for sale that are good !

Mike R.

Yelp
Incredible variety of delicious vegan fare. Friendly servers, laid-back atmosphere. We'll be back.

Yelp
Delicious food, kind and efficient service, and cute ambiance! Fantastic visit and always looking forward to eat here. :) I recommend the Spicy Buffalo Strips and the Orange Chicken!

Yelp
First time here and as a non-vegetarian, I was so impressed that all the food was so good! We came here on a Wednesday around 5:30 pm and were seated right away. We ordered the garlic cha cha noodles, carne asada fries, and karaage cauliflower wings. The garlic noodles were so nice and flavorful, the carne asada fries were delicious, and the wings were crispy and tasty! The portions were filling for our group of 4. I would definitely come back to try their other dishes!
google avatar

Allison L.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing!! Came here with some friends on a weekday dinner around 5:30PM and were seated right away. The four of us split the cha cha garlic noodles, cauliflower wings, and carne asada fries. The noodles were so flavorful, the cauliflower wings were crispy, and the carne asada fries were my favorite! I'm not vegetarian but my friend is, and we all loved this place! It came to about $53 total, which was a reasonable price for such delicious food and big portions. I will definitely be coming back
google avatar

Natasha Y.

Yelp
Most of the food is great and the other half is terrible, just watch out for what you order I guess. The customer service is terrible so I will never again eat inside, I only do togo orders. They also have a problem with temperature control because most of the food is cold when it's supposed to be hot. I have had this problem every time I go over the years. My favorite is the cali burrito, buffalo tenders, kung pao, the burgers and of course the ramen! I love how it's all vegan 'plant based' food, so I never have to worry about what I order.
google avatar

Tamara B.

Yelp
The food is always amazing. The staff knows their products and give wonderful suggestions. It's always a hit. Since the last time I was there, they changed things a bit and you are now able to buy things for your pantry. The atmosphere is always calming. I just need a husband to take me here at least once a week now lol.

Yelp
my favorite vegan place in the area! so glad they've stayed open all these years!! we decided to try some of the newer menu items including the MuSushi which is a MUST order, we all agreed it was the highlight of our meal! it has a nice smokiness to it that vegan food often lacks, and has a delicious kimchi filling. i'm always craving spam musubi and their version tasted legit! i would definitely try if you're a fan missing the real thing :') we were a bit confused by the new burger concept they had in addition to the more asian style menu, but tried some entrees from both. burgers: delicious! we recommend the new cherry bomb burger, which had a nice kick to it. note that the burgers don't come with fries though, so you'll have to order those on the side. we also got the entrees: lucky lemongrass was a bit lacking, it didn't have much of a lemongrass flavor and was a bit dry, could use a sauce component. deluxe vegetables were done well, and pretty saucy so they had a good flavor to them! overall, i'll be back for the MuSushi and burgers! service was attentive, and there's always parking in the lot so thats a plus :)
google avatar

Seung L.

Yelp
I liked the food and service but was disappointed with the serving size. Got the chicken strip to go and it came to $13 with tax and I recall it used to have 5 or 6 strips inside the last time I got it a few years ago, but this time it only had 4 measly strips of "chicken" which couldn't have cost that much. Not much of an appetizer with 4 strips and for that amount, I thought $13 was too much.
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
Love this place! It's not only a cute restaurant, but they have such tasty food! I'm not vegan/vegetarian but I plan on coming here more! Next time I want to try one of their specialty drinks- they look so good! I got the spicy cha cha last time and it was good, but I think it tasted even better this time around. The orange chicken is also good but I recommend the Spicy Cha Cha, it has a unique texture. They have friendly servers and the overall place is relaxing. I came at opening time, plenty of seating and parking!
google avatar

Sophie Y.

Yelp
This spot has so many great options! I'm not vegan and was blown away that some of the dishes were not meat! I absolutely loved the spicy cha cha! Also my first time trying sugar cane juice, I ordered the strawberry and it was so refreshing! The ube shake was delicious too! This location has plenty of parking, offers indoor & outdoor seating and has super friendly staff! It's also very cute and homey. Check it out!

derek m.

Yelp
great tasting healthy food. I would call it vegetarian because the word vegan makes it sound like 'weird food' which it is not.
google avatar

Irina B.

Yelp
Amazing food! I am lucky that it's right next to my place, so I will be trying most of their food. The ambience inside is also so nice and chilling. Definitely recommending this place for vegan lovers!
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
As a regular meat and dairy eater, I enjoyed this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the asian food. It was a good direction to take to have flavorful dishes. I don't recommend the burger though, just because it looks so much like a regular burger but has a completely different taste. The cafe style of the restaurant is very cute, and I appreciate how earnest the servers are. I was a little afraid of being judged for not knowing all that much about vegan food, but I was only met with patience.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Excellent food and very good service! The restaurant was full at lunch time on a Saturday. My family shared the drunken noodles, cha cha garlic noodles, fabulous Mongolian, carne asada nachos, and various cake slices. The shakes were delicious! I had the Thai iced tea shake, so yummy!! The restaurant was bright, open, and airy. We'll be back soon!
google avatar

Laurel C.

Yelp
Came back for lunch and had the same thing as last time because it was just too good. Katsu curry is hard to find in general around me, let alone a vegan version, so it's high on my list to eat here. All little busier on a Saturday afternoon, still able to get a table right away. Very friendly service, got waters and silverware right away.

Everything is vegan! Absolutely delicious. This is a good place for friends and family to get together and enjoy a vegan dining experience. Laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is delicious and portions are large enough to share or bring home leftovers. The food came out in good time but it took us a while to get the check. They didn't really round on us after getting our food, but they are extremely busy with online orders. Highly recommend!

Yelp
It's been a minute...actually years since I've been back here, but I'm so glad I reconnected with one of my favorite local vegan restaurants. I attended a vegan meetup and it was held here which I was stoked about! They had revamped their menu and I was excited to discover they brought back the eggplant tofu dish! I was craving it sooooo bad!! We had ~58 attendees and were spread out throughout the restaurant. I'm surprised they managed to fit us all in, but there was a steady flow of customers and diners coming in and out. The staff were hard at work as usual waiting tables, taking orders, and serving dishes in a timely manner. The owners, Iris and Ted were also there and it was wonderful seeing them again! They really make the establishment welcoming for all and it makes me want to support them even more. I felt like I was in good company with my fellow vegans supporting a similar cause filled with gratitude and compassion. Positive vibes all around! The eggplant tofu dish tasted just as I remembered! So glad they stuck to the original recipe. My brother had the Inzane burger which had impossible meat, cheese, and a healthy amount of shrooms. He also enjoyed it and inhaled it in a matter of minutes. LOL. Parking is limited and can be a hit or miss so definitely come early before rush hour. You'll also be able to order before the busier dinner crowd arrives. I also recommend the pho (so warm and filling) and I also heard their ramen soups are popular! I'll have to try that next time, especially on a cold day. I do miss their pandan cake. That was my favorite dessert there. Overall, customer service, food, and ambiance are 5 stars in my book! Highly recommend vegan or not!

Yelp
I had been here at least 3 or 4 times before and really liked it but today was really special, Iris was super nice and actually talked to me for around 10 minutes and she is an extremely lovely person. I had the Outlaw burger, vanilla shake and carrot cake and it was all as good as can be. I will definitely start going there on a regular basis. Thanks so much for such great vegan food. Dennis

Yelp
Always so delicious, the impossible bbq beef rice noodles are so comforting! Not too many gluten free options on the menu for family members but the lemongrass tofu was tasty

Yelp
ALL the food here is AMAZING!!! I'm a vegetarian and I took three of my friends here that are not yesterday. They all were very apprehensive about it, but I was buying so...‍ Everyone ordered different dishes and I ordered 4 appetizers for the table..... all of them were shocked and loved it. They even said had I not pointed out that it was a vegan restaurant they never would've even realized it. The food here is that good! Peace & Love

Yelp
Bow chicka wow wow! Are you looking for that party in your mouth? Then come check this place out! I've been eating here for a few years now and have introduced Loving Hut to my friends and family who are mostly not vegan. Loving Hut is now on some of their "go to" restaurants! This gem has a mix of American, Mexican and Asian inspired flavors. Some MUST HAVES are: Texas Fries/ Carne Asada Fries, Loving Strips, California Burrito, inZane burger, Pad Thai, Guru Fried Rice and Cha Cha Fried rice. Their Spamasubi is also very good! The people who work there have been very nice and patient. They have plenty of indoor seating options and minimal ourdoor seating. The inside is nicely spaced out with some beautiful plants. Their restrooms have also been well maintained based on my experiences. Just when you thought my food recommendations were over...I would also urge you to try some of their shakes! It is so good! If you are wondering what Vegan food can be like then come try this place out. Loving Hut does not disappoint. Go on and enjoy that party!

Yelp
First time dining in here (had only done take-out previously) and it was such an enjoyable experience! I have been dreaming about their vegan cali burrito since I last had it and finally made the time to drive here from PB to get it. First things first, this is a really adorable restaurant. The decor is very cute and colorful and decorated in a quirky but tasteful way. The staff are all super friendly and just attentive enough. Side note - one of the girls who works here has the most gorgeous pink hair and perfect makeup and could literally be a human doll, she is just so cute!!! Ok now back to reviewing - My husband and I shared the crispy rolls, the tofu pad thai and the cali burrito. All absolutely amazing - cannot wait to come back and probably have the cali burrito again and try some more new things! Also really want to try their cake which looks so mouthwateringly delicious and beautiful. Also really want to try their North Park location as they have different menus. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Yelp
The food here is good but I would say very overpriced. Service here isn't that bad, and the ambiance is pretty basic; looks like somebody's old house living room. Idk what you guys put in your food, but my goodness, I had the worst upset stomach ever.

Yelp
I recently started getting into vegan cuisine for lent. This place has made sacrificing meat, WAY more enjoyable than i anticipated. I always get the OC orange chickn and spicy cha cha. The OC orange chickn is SOOOOO good. That orange chicken sauce is addicting. The spicy cha cha is crunchy and tangy and feels like im eating imitation crab. Every time ive ordered something here its always been SO GOOD. If you're skeptical of vegan cuisine.. this spot will absolutely change your mind!
