Low Country

Found my spot for shrimp, gravy and shrimps. Love the non-overpowering shrimp gravy -- add a biscuit to take advantage of the seasoning. I was flying out this am so passed. Sucked and lightly chew those those tails to max out your flavor. This placed earned using "lowcountry" in their name. From one Carolina Geeche shrimp and grits lover and preparer. When I am in Terminal B again ... Will get my fill. Thanks for a great breakfast, excellent service WITHOUT the traditional Fast Food. Best wishes!

This restaurant in the airport offers southern cooking by Chef G, who was not there at the time. MOSES encouraged me to take a look at the offerings and I jumped on the rosemary baked chicken which I have never seen in an airport. The broccoli side was crisp not soggy and I selected black eyed pies for my second side over carrots and other starchy options. Delicious. The order and pick up counter are accessible. The venue in the food court has an accessible line to stand in. Funny fun employees. Menus are white background with small letters posted on wall and fairly readable Accessible restrooms in airport nearby

Got some Chef G's Mac and Cheese and some Bacon Caramel Bread Pudding during a layover. It was all unbelievably delicious. If you have a few minutes to spare, the bread pudding REALLY is worth the wait. So rich and smooth, not overly sweet and some savory bacon to top it off. YUM!

Low Country was an unexpected highlight during a long layover! My wife and I were exhausted after a long day of travel, and were able to get surprisingly tasty and nourishing food here, at reasonable prices, with that nice touch of southern comfort. It made a long layover much more bearable. Special shout-out to Moses - he was incredibly kind and helpful! My wife has some allergies and was struggling to find anything she could eat at the airport, and Moses took the time to ask what she needed and to make a custom salad for her in the back without anything that would make her ill. Top notch service, and very deeply appreciated!

Had their shrimp, grits and eggs - was amazing! Best airport breakfast I’ve had!! Was so delicious I came back for a bit of their oatmeal. All fresh, delicious and nutritious.

I wasn’t expecting to have one of the best meals of my day at the airport, but Low Country at ATL completely blew me away. I ordered the salmon with southern-style broccoli and carrots, and it was exactly what I needed—flavorful, perfectly cooked, and surprisingly nourishing for airport fare. The salmon was tender and seasoned to perfection, and the veggies had that comforting Southern twist without feeling heavy. It was balanced, satisfying, and honestly the best possible choice I could have made between flights. If you’re looking for a real meal that doesn’t feel like fast food, do yourself a favor and stop here. This place is a rare find in an airport—and I’ll definitely be back!

I had the pleasure of visiting Low Country, New Southern Cuisine! And it is by far the best food I’ve had since I’ve been in Atlanta so I tried all of the wings, The first bite was amazing! I had baked chicken, Fried rice and an amazing macaroni and cheese. Excellent, savoring, and seasoned well just an overall great experience. I got to meet and talk with the staff. They’re so friendly and kind. It’s such a clean and nice atmosphere. I really enjoyed this leaving out of Atlanta. This is, most definitely the best thing that I’ve had since I’ve been here. You must stop by and enjoy an amazing meal. No need to go anywhere else. Everything is good good it’s good. I just had two plates I did, lol

Genuinely the best airport meal I’ve ever had. Everything was so deliciously seasoned. I don’t know how they get the skin on their baked chicken so crispy! And you can taste the real cheese in that macaroni and cheese. Thank you Low Country for feeding me well this layover! Don’t miss this spot on your next trip thru ATL.

The people were pleasant, the service was great, and the food was pretty darn good. Better than I expected. If I had one piece of feedback it would be that I felt I didn't get enough food for 22 dollars. I got the breakfast platter with bacon, potatoes, and non-cheesy eggs plus a Diet Coke.

So I am in the Atlanta airport for a 2 hour layover and right at 10:30 am and I see one of my favorite chefs G. Garvin has this low country restaurant. I decided to try them out. First had cafeteria lady aka Madea behind the counter. She was quick to tell me what they ain't got and they about to switch over to lunch. Okay I wanted shrimp and grits, biscuit, and bottled drink $30 which I was okay with since I was at the airport. Grits bland no seasonings shrimp good flavor but swimming in grease and biscuit damn near choked the crap out of me. I was truly disappointed and I don't recommend them at all. Unless they get friendlier staff and fresher flavorful food.

Food was pretty good. I had a breakfast platter chicken sausage, eggs, potatoes and a biscuits. My husband had a platter as well. He had bacon,, grits, eggs, potato add gravy. (Bottle water, Apple and orange juice) We paid 46.41, which wasn't bad for Airport food. Service was great. Happy people serving a good solid breakfast. They also offer military discount.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL . I love soul food I pay for big daddy's all day . prices better variety is better . customer service better.

If you want something other than your typical fast food in the airport, this is a good place to go. I didn't want burgers and fries or burrito. I was pressed for time so mac & cheese, broccoli and fried chicken hit the spot. I wouldn't say that it's the best soul food I've ever had.....could've used the pinch of salt on the chicken and mac & cheese. However, the chicken was juicy and crispy. I ordered a side of bread pudding, which I waited six minutes for ...the middle of the bread pudding was cold so I dont know what they warmed up for six minutes. Their serving sizes are just enough, but they're not gonna give you any anymore than one scoop.

Executive Chef G. Garvin's LowCountry Restaurant in Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Terminal A, next to Boar's Head Cafe. Food court setting shared with other restaurants. The food was fast-food style and kept warm via heat lamps or warming table. I asked the cashier which chicken was most popular? She recommended the Rosemary Baked Chicken. Done. I got that along with two sides: cheese grits and mac and cheese. The chicken (thigh and breast) was very flavorful, savory, tender, and juicy. It's a bit salty at times for my taste, but overall, it's pretty good. The mac and cheese was good, but nothing spectacular. The cheese grits with bacon were good, granted I don't have much experience eating it, but cheesy grits were pretty good! Overall 3.5 stars. If ever in Atlanta for an extended stay, I would try his restaurant. But, if you can't like me, I am glad I tried it and would be back. FYI, just recently (like 2 days ago actually), I saw an old episode of DDD, and Guy Fieri was sampling places with Chef Garvin.

Very pleasantly surprised. It's like a Soul Food spot but the menu is unique. Classics like fried chicken and broccoli but as a side I had fried rice and I saw caramel bacon bread pudding but sometimes you gotta chill....the chicken was delicious and so was the fried Rice. I remember buddy's cooking shows, always loved his enthusiasm and will stop here every time I'm in the terminal. Definitely gonna try that bacon bread pudding..

I had the fried chick entree, it comes with two sides for $21.00. My sides were macaroni and cheese and rice. I could tell the chicken was going to be good by looking at it and the flavor did not disappoint. The mac and cheese was really good and the rice was just average white rice that looked like it had a lot of flavor. Gravy would have been great on top of the rice. When I walked up there was one person ahead of me. They have the trays out front and you can pick what you want, service was quick and they give you a decent amount of food. This location is in the airport so it's super busy and plenty of seats. So if your are looking for a calm ambiance this is not the location to eat but you can take your food to another area and enjoy.

My friend and I stopped in while waiting at the airport and everything was absolutely delicious. True Southern cuisine with rich, authentic flavors. The service was excellent, friendly, and attentive. A great place to spend some time before a flight.

Food was delicious. I would recommend the shrimp and grits. The biscuit was soft and just what I needed for this early morning flight. Side note: the Food Court staff at ATL airport was top notch.

I've have enjoyed having breakfast at this Atlanta location on Concourse A for several years, this was the worst ever. Cheese eggs were runny, sausage was dry, biscuit was also very dry. I ate most of it because I was hungry this early! And, could the staff even try to smile at customers? The best part of the meal was the attendant named Sunday who handed out utensils and helped find a table! Yes, he got the tip!

First time customer. The name grabbed my attention from across the concourse. I got the fried chicken special for $14.95 with two sides. It. Was. Delicious! I def could have eaten more chicken. Tastes like homemade. Well seasoned. Light batter. Crispy outside. Juicy inside. The black eyed peas were equally as tasty. I should have opted for brown rice. Didn't eat much of brocolli. It was fine. I just thought about my connecting flight and didn't want to be gassy. I'll def look for them if I'm in concourse A again. This spot might be the best part of flying to ATL.

I ordered rosemary chicken with fried rice and string beans. The chicken was so dry, I lost my appetite just seeing it. The fried rice was like soaked In soy sauce . Tasted too salty. I ordered here coz it was the only one had no line coz I need to catch my flight .. don't eat here ..

I was a lil frantic today and hungry after missing my flight. Ms. Shelia calmed me down and fed me good lol. The service was impeccable and she even came out and checked on me with a a complimentary tea. Now that's service!! I travel through Atlanta a lot and service can be subpar, but this young lady is a diamond in rough!! I'll definitely be back!!

Service got this place a star. Waffles out, gravy out, biscuits out, French toast dry, bacon overcooked hard, eggs ok. Egg platter- ok, grits salty, chicken sausage ok. Spent $39 on food that we couldn't eat. It was so sad to see the woman in the front saying we're out, none of this or that. Our first time to Atlanta. Wish them well. They must be popular as they didn't have food and were probably scrambling.

Food was so good and glad I had enough time before my flight to get some food. The shrimp and grits is so good.

Service was fast and the staff was nice. The croissant was good too and grilled to perfection.

At the Atlanta airport and enjoyed a breakfast platter. Eggs, chicken sausage and biscuit, and cranberry apple juice. Brandon was friendly and helpful in the seating area too.

While waiting for my layover, I decided to check out Low Country as I had heard wonderful things. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything positive about their location in the Atlanta airport. It was around 3 o'clock, and with nobody in line, I approached. They were seemingly out of almost everything. I thought they would have restocked after the lunch rush, but I proceeded to check out what they did have. The employees, while not rude, did not provide any special experience; they seemed like they were just waiting to clock out. I noticed they had the famous Chef G's crispy fried chicken. I ordered this, which came with two sides. I selected mac and cheese and green beans. When it was about time to pay, the initially quoted "13.50" had jumped to "22," which took me by surprise. I decided it was worth it, given it was Chef G's food, and placed the order. However, the chicken, while tasty, was extremely greasy. The mac and cheese was lukewarm at best, and the green beans were soggy and unpleasant. Overall, I would suggest trying the real restaurant, not the airport version

I was enjoying a bagel while a friend ordered from Low Country. Brandon Nixon was anticipating customer needs before you could even think to ask. He asked my friend what she needed and got her salt and brought it to the table. He handed me napkins just as I needed them and removed our trash He was giving us it wrapped silverware to customers in line and constantly cleaning tables I was shocked! Never in an airport have I had friendly service while sitting in a crowded communal area. Brandon is a star!!!

Delicious Mac cheese with broccoli and carrots. Didn't try any protein meat. And I've been missing southern food! So glad to have this opportunity when I travel.

Lunch was okay at Low Country. Entree comes with two sides. Mac & cheese was the best, very creamy and tasty. Good string beans and peas. Garlic shrimp was on the dry side, cost $11.79. Salmon filet was very dry and bland, cost $17.50. Small bottle of Dasani is $3.25.

Food was flavorful. They were out of alot of items. Mac wasn't done, it was very soupy when it shouldn't had more of a solid consistency. Service was ok. Young gentleman was respectful. It was a line so he could've used another person on the front line.

This is always my favorite place at the ATL airport. My routine if I have time is to head straight to A, and Low Country is right next to the escalators above the tram. I usually get the fried chicken with mac + cheese and bacon grits on the side. It's decent value too (Fried chicken combo is $15ish), especially for an airport establishment.

Quick layover in ATL, so I grabbed something to eat. It was breakfast time, which I love. It was hard to decide because everything looked really good, but since there were a few people ahead of me, it gave me some time. Ordered eggs with cheese, a biscuit, pork sausage patties, and breakfast potatoes. I wanted to try the grits and French toast, too. They gave a hearty portion, so I couldn't eat everything, but filled up and made my out egg, cheese & sausage biscuit with syrup. Delicious! It's definitely a good spot to have a meal while if you have a layover in concourse A.

Location #6065 on 2/14/2025@ 7:38pm Chk 20331. Rosmary Baked Chicken. The chicken was not cleaned properly. It was not baked rosemary seasoning. It was fried feather ducts. 3 pieces of chicken wings for $14.04. Low Country #6065 in Atl Hartsfield Airport is horrible. In these perilous economic times we are being forced to live in, a company must do better!!

Amir was amazing!! He gave incredible service and I will definitely be coming back to the Low Country restaurant each time I come to the Atlanta airport. The best food I promise you!

Unfortunately the biscuit was dry and pretty tasteless for $5.49. The staff all seemed to be having a bad day as no one could say thank you. Wanted to give you some business since Chick-Fil-A is always busy. Next time we will wait in the line for Chick-Fil-A.

Low Country - I was served by Ms. Kimberly F at the cash register. I ordered salmon, broccoli, and rice, and the food was impeccable. After my meal, I returned to the cashier to inquire about their food, and she explained that everything is made from scratch with genuine care. I highly recommend choosing Low Country for a meal; the hospitality and food there are exceptional. Thank you, Kimberly F, for your wonderful service and beautiful smile. I promise to tip you generously on my next visit.

If you're traveling and not from the south and don't know any better, this is a good option for breakfast with cheesy eggs, grits, maple bacon, biscuit and gravy. Unfortunately for $15, I would've stuck with Starbucks! I was craving smothered biscuit with eggs and maple bacon southern style, it LOOKED the part, but was more like a Mona Lisa. The eggs were watery and cheese was chewy. Odd combo. The biscuit was super bland and overcooked and a little chewy. The gravy was pretty good all things considered. The maple bacon was cooked perfectly. Thick, glazed and well done but not burnt. Saved the unhealthy breakfast LOL! Unfortunately won't be back as the cost to quality ratio just isn't enticing enough.

I just left ATL airport. Food was cold. I asked for a fried egg on sourdough. They didn't toast the bread and gave me an egg that was sitting there. Terrible! I'm convinced ATL businesses are being ruined by the workers.

Shortest line in this food area. I wasn't just wanting fried chicken or Mac N Cheese. Was hoping for maybe a sandwich, since it's easy to eat or a salad even. They are out of sandwiches and salads too. Hitting strikes left and right here. Too short of a window to look for other options.

This is in most Concourses A-F of Hartsfield airport. It is Lowcountry food item choices which were not that appetizing. The rice I would never order again was awful, macaroni was okay. That's not the major problem, it was the person serving. She was talking on phone so basically ignoring my wife's multiple requests not to add too much sauce. The container became very flimsy from the sauce it was ridiculous. Just a headache in every aspect the food, price, worker, avoid all together.

The food was gross. The fried chicken was very salty but was piping hot. Both the broccoli and rice was unpalatable. Would not recommend.

Friendly staff. Enjoyed the mac and cheese. The pasta was well cooked and it filled me up! The card reader took several tries to read my card.

When the sign says eggs and cheese, you shouldn't be charged extra for the cheese. Am I wrong? Food was not bad, overpriced

Horrible. Tge employee said the chicken had been out 5 min., prior to my ordering; she lied. Then the cashier guy asked if I was paying cash/card? I did my card & that machine asked if I wanted to leave a tip? A tip, 4 what? Lying, placing my overly salted, dried out food in a bag half hazardly? I was bewildered. Why would I "tip" 4 something I have not tasted? I mean, if G. Garvin is Mr paying his employees their minimum wage, I'm not making up 4 it! $30.25 for 2 Pcs. of dry, salty chicken, dry, salty Mac and cheese & salty, cheesy grits w-uncooked bacon. The squash was the only decent edible item. I was on my way to Cali., however, this food was a RIP-OFF & Definitely NOT worth the cost. G. Garvin should b ashamed of himself!

A surprise! Food was delish, generous, & server was so nice. I am always looking for great salads and the chopped salad with fried chicken was excellent. Others had nice veggies, unique for not being overcooked, rice was fluffy, shrimp yummy, fried chix yummy. My new go to in Terminal A.

What a pleasant surprise. I thought the food would be Airport type generic food but the food tastes homemade in every way! Shrimp and grits, crispy bacon, eggs fried hards, eggs scrambled, chicken sausage and so much more. If you're in Terminal A in the airport, go to Low Country by G. Garvin! #HappyEating

The sausage & egg croissant was fabulous :)' It was hot & fresh made to order. It was the best part of my trip. Thank you so much. I was hangry! Haha. The coffee, not so much. Will return for the super fresh yummy sausage & egg croissant! Get it y'all! Highly recommend :)'

When travelling, you know you found a good food spot when three airline captains are walking up to a place. I had a couple of hours to pass in ATL, so I figured dinner was in order. They had homestyle food, today's lot being baked chicken with lots of sides to choose from - mac and cheese, grits, greens, okra, all the good stuff. I opted for a blackened chicken sandwich. It took about 10 minutes for it to be ready, and i splurged and got the mac and cheese as a side. For around $12, I was set. The seasoning was light enough so you weren't overpowered and had a little kick at the end. Very good. The mac and cheese side was large and very creamy. Homerun. Probably the best thing about the place, though, was the outstanding three ladies working the counter and kitchen. They were friendly, accommodating, struck up a great rapport with all customers, and really made you feel like you are valued. Very thankful for a great experience while flying.

I've been here a few times and dinner is by far better than breakfast (the salmon was delicious). Breakfast was a good variety at a decent price point for airport dining. I liked that the fried egg on the biscuit sandwich was actually a real cooked egg vs. a rehydrated patty. Decent place for a quick bite in the Atlanta airport.

I am praying the restaurant experience is better than the airport. The server had no idea about anything we asked about. I have been through this airport several times over the last 5 years and I had never noticed it before. The server told me it was there longer than she had been working there. I asked if there was a restaurant in the city; her response was I don't know, I work here. G. Garcia must not have any input on the hiring process. The food was tasty but the customer service was horrible!!!

Soooooo glad I stopped. Wanted to play it safe since I'm between flights and was headed to another popular fast food restaurant in the area. Then I saw the sign Southern Cooking. I looked and at the time-it's around 9 - they only had one entree choice and three sides. I actually said, nah, and started to walk away. One of the coolest things about traveling is trying the local restaurants. So I turned back around and ordered what they had. The baked salmon was cooked just like I like. The green beans were crisp and tasty. The mac and cheese was really good. Great choice. Check them out. Hopefully you are flying in earlier in the day.

Great restaurant, with freshly made hot & cold items. Surprised me and the prices weren't too crazy. Lots of staff working hard to keep the place stocked and organized. The fried chicken was impressive! Also had baked chicken, Mac n cheese, cheese n grits, green beans, black eyed peas and seasoned brown rice. For sure would stop back here when I have a short layover.

I was absolutely thrilled to see chef G. Garvin's restaurant in the Atlanta airport on my flight back to Columbus, OH!! My meal was absolutely delicious!!! I had superb fried chicken, delicious creamy macaroni and cheese, and the best broccoli I've ever had!! So glad I was back in my home state of Georgia and got to enjoy a splendid meal! The employees were so nice and helpful too! I do miss that southern hospitality!! It was a great end to my visit back home for my nephew's wedding and father's 90th birthday!
