Low Fidelity Review - Jersey City - New York - The Infatuation

"Even if Low Fidelity didn’t serve food, you’d still have a good time here playing cornhole while day drinking in the backyard, or sipping on a cocktail made with Cognac, scotch, and sherry at the bar until 3am. But the Detroit-style pizza, with light airy crust covered in perfectly burnt cheese, is fantastic. This is one of our favorite places to hang out with a group in The Heights." - Matt Tervooren

This place is great. We ordered pickup which you can do from their website (SO GLAD to avoid DoorDash)!! It was ready quickly and they met us right at the entrance to give us our order. The atmosphere inside looked so cute and fun. The pizzas were delicious and so unique. The dough is like foccacia, so soft and tasty. Wasn’t crazy about the crusty cheese on the crust, but the rest of my party did. The street corn salad was to die for, especially with the strawberry vinaigrette. I didn’t like the broccoli, and it was mostly arugula (hence -1 star), but the rest liked it.

Google
One of my favorite places in JC. The pizza is so good, you have to try the Jersey Cosmonaut! Fluffy cheesy pizza. Great draft list and good cocktails. The patio is super cute as well.

I was really excited to check out this spot after reading the glowing reviews about their pizza, but unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to the hype at all. The pizza, which was supposedly the star of the show, was incredibly disappointing. The crust was far too doughy, giving it an overly heavy and chewy texture. The flavors were flat, with none of the crispness or tanginess you’d expect from a well-prepared pie. We also ordered the hot Burrata, hoping for that creamy, rich experience it’s known for, but again, it missed the mark. The cheese was overly stretchy without much flavor, and it didn’t have that indulgent, melt-in-your-mouth quality that makes Burrata so special. Service was another major letdown. It was painfully slow, and there didn’t seem to be any urgency or care in the way our table was managed. We had to flag down staff multiple times for refills and basic requests, and the overall vibe felt disorganized. On the plus side, the mushroom sliders were fantastic—small but packed with flavor. If you’re looking for a decent snack, I’d recommend those. But let’s be clear: this place is more of a bar than a restaurant, so don’t expect a full dining experience. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone seeking good food or quality service. If you're in the area, maybe grab a drink, but skip the pizza.

Google
Such a fun spot for lunch/dinner or just to grab a drink! The outdoor patio is perfect when the weather allows, and we loooove their pizza. Gives off a cool Brooklyn vibe.

Google
Was craving their pizza!! Love the Jersey Cosmonaut and Pesto Italiano pizza! Delicious!! Enjoyed the cocktails! And hubby enjoyed a few different IPAs! Our server Bar B was awesome! And as we walked to our car right around the corner from Low Fidelity Saw a garden with chickens and ducks! In JERSEY CITY!!!

Google
Love this place. You can’t miss with the detroit style pizza. The motor city is my jam and you can’t go wrong with the plain either. They even have one with pineapple on it that surprisingly works! The bourbon mint tea was my drink of choice and had a few of them. The backyard also is a nice touch where you can sit and enjoy the nice weather. Highly recommend.

Google
Such a good spot. Good vibe, food and drinks. The Detroit style pizza is incredible. I ate the whole thing (please don't tell anybody). DJs on Sunday evenings. And I met Dancing Tony!

Google
It's a vibe!!! Delicious Detroit style pizza. Dough crispy and light. Plenty of indoor, outdoor and bar sitting. Live DJ.. Cocktails are unique and delicious. We had KISS which was refreshing. And Future me problems, yummmm. Pizzas have six pieces each. You will not regret coming here.

Yelp
I've been here multiple times and everytime it gets better and better. Finally tried a new white pizza, Earth First, and it was SO GOOD. Had some orange wine (heavy pours) which was also great. They don't take reservations so I was a little nervous showing up at 615 on a Thursday but we got a table for 5 right away.

Yelp
After a fun night at a sneaker event, my partner and I were looking for a laid-back spot to grab some food and drinks. A quick Google search led us to Low Fidelity, and it turned out to be a solid choice. We got seated right away, which was a plus, and the atmosphere was relaxed--perfect for unwinding after a long night. The menu had a selection of light bites, including different types of pizzas, so we decided to go with the Philadelphia pizza. Service was a little slow at first--we had to flag someone down to take our order--but once the food arrived, even the server hyped it up, saying it was her favorite. And honestly? She wasn't lying. This pizza absolutely slapped. It was so good that we immediately started thinking about when we could have it again--whether dining in or even ordering it to the house. Beyond the food, the overall vibe at Low Fidelity was chill, making it a great place to catch up with friends or just kick back and watch a game at the bar. While the service wasn't the best, the quality of the pizza and drinks made up for it. If you're in the area and looking for a low-key weekend spot, definitely check this place out--especially for the pizza.

Yelp
Delicious Detroit style pizza. Honestly I'm not usually a fan of deep dish pizza but once in a while i get the craving for something more bready and this place fits the bill. Their pies are tasty and the perfect size. Surprisingly of all that I have tried the eggplant one has the best flavor. Highly recommend. I've eaten there once a few years ago and remember it has a cute vibe inside as well. Only thing that's a little annoying is that they aren't on any takeout apps and their website takeout situation has crashed on me twice.

Yelp
So finding good pizza is not easy! Being from Chicago, I can't find tavern style pizza anywhere so getting the next best thing with Detroit's style pizza is vital for me to live lol! Their pizza is great! The place is pretty DOPE and they have a great beer selection! Staff is really nice and on point too! Been back twice for the PIZZA! The sides or apps or whatever you call them aren't worth it though, none of them are good but who cares when you got GREAT PIZZA!

Yelp
I love their Mexicali sub/sandwich. The service is quick and wait time is really less. The ambience is perfect for a weekday date night

Yelp
Very friendly service, unfortunately the pizza just didn't measure up. We tried the elote one, it was really salty for some reason (and I love salt) and lacked flavor. Expected the corn to be seasoned or grilled but it tasted brined and the rest of the pizza had good texture but no flavor. It needed a chipotle crema, jalapeños or onions. The cherry tomatoes didn't really add anything to it. However the pizza crust itself was really nice! I think I would checkout the hot honey salami one or just plain marinara to see if I like it better. Also, not sure if it was a one off thing but there was no AC and it was boiling hot in that place during the summer.

Yelp
Pizza and cocktails. This is what they care the most about and it shows. Same owners as The Archer on Newark Avenue. It's like the Archer's nerdy skater younger brother that grew up in arcades in the 80's. The vibe felt like a "come as you are" family grunge bar with young parents with little kids on a Sunday afternoon 7pm. TV screens showing sports ball. Loud music. Very loud kids and parents howling at the screens when someone missed at sports ball. The End of the World cocktail was a 8.5/10. Salami Pizza with hot honey and basil was a 9/10. Come for the pizza.

Yelp
Finally had a chance to swing by on a spontaneous night in the Heights; cool atmosphere, with a good size outdoor space. Really solid music, lots of throwback late 90s tunes but that might have been because of a 50th birthday party taking place in the back half of the garden patio area. There's enough space that it wasn't intrusive. Good cocktails and beers, and the ribs appetizer were fantastic! Only challenge there were four of us for the three ribs... nothing a little arm wrestle couldn't solve haha.

Yelp
LOVE THIS SPOT. It's a mix of chill/ hipster type of vibe. Wanna grab a beer and have a slice while listening to a DJ this is your spot. Service was a little rough but they definitely fixed our order and comped one of the items. Other than that it's a place to pop into on a Sunday night if you don't have plans.

Yelp
(Tookout 06/22/2024 SA @ 4:00pm): I would suspect a place like this was more high than low fidelity! In my quest to explore the various cuisine scenes throughout Jersey City and specifically the Heights, I decided to make a second attempt to try Low Fidelity, a name that caught my attention. My first attempt was with a dear friend and our "lil black beast" just over a year ago when we were rudely and unceremoniously denied entry while the front door was closed on us right when they opened because they didn't allow dogs. Trust me, at the time their Yelp page noted they were pet-friendly, so we went. After that abomination, I thought I was crazy to ever consider another visit, except this time I was on my own and the furry family member was safely at home. Would I meet another lowness of fidelity with this business!? PURCHASE 3pc Bonzai BBQ Ribs ($15.00): A meal that consisted of pork ribs, cheddar grits, Japanese BBQ sauce, and a secret spice, the ribs were small, nicely seasoned, and tender. I didn't receive a separate BBQ sauce if that was to be the case, or if it was used as a marinade. I was more fond of the cheddar grits with its creamy thick consistency and texture and stick-to-you-ribs heartiness. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=M9RyOMHbBe22303iLknY9Q 10" Thuper Thupreme Detroit-Style Square Pizza ($19.00): Pizza should seriously be the "5th food group"! Detroit-style pizza seems to be having a moment in recent years. Crafted with sweet sausage meatballs, pepperoni, spicy sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, black olives, marinara, oregano, and mozzarella cheese and cut into six slices, this was certainly more toppings and meat than I was used to, but I was dawn to the name (drawn marketing!). This square mess (see the picture; the box was even constructed backwards!) was greasy, thick, and not piled-on as I thought it would be with the extensive toppings listed. Thankfully, I enjoyed this pizza as it came in hot and made two meals out of it. I liked the burnt crispy edges and the gooey cheese. Aesthetics aside, once I got it home, this was a damn good pie! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=lZQrEpswg5jMJAnFixyI0w Lightspeed Restaurant Online Service Fee ($1.01): Convenience with a cost... SERVICE I easily placed/paid my order online for a designated pick up time. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly young woman who quickly retrieved my food, thanked me for the order, and wished me a good day. All was easy-peasy and greatly appreciated! PARKING (FREE; N/A this instance) This was a moot point since I walked. Although I didn't notice any parking lot, there seemed to be plenty of spots along the main drag of Palisade Ave. and all surrounding side streets - nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE An open spacious floorplan with the long bar as its focal point lined with stools on all sides and an assortment of small tables/chairs along the walls, and minimal decorations throughout, the interior had an old-school modern feel to it. There was an outside back patio, but I didn't venture out that way. Decent natural lighting came through the shaded front windows and door while crafty electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. I noticed a couple of TVs around the bar while rock music played in the background music. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=Uzu8zm1a3QSP8GtcRWDBhQ ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I liked but certainly didn't love Low Fidelity, but I would consider another visit for something different on their menu which was more than just pizzas. Apparently, they made some killer cocktails, and by the look of the bar, that seemed true. I felt the prices were elevated, portions a tad small, and I would never forget how my friend, our dog, and I were treated the first time regardless of this recent visit. The dude was a complete a-hole and hoped he no longer worked there! Plus, I always preferred to support small mom & pop businesses. I found fairly good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $37.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 3.5 STARS

Yelp
Great drinks and even better pizza! Sat at the bar and the bartender was so nice. He told us about the sister spot the archer and I plan to visit that location as well. Ambiance is chill vibes and local bar-ish. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Excellent pizzas and service and atmosphere. Great vibes with a very attentive service and delicious Detroit pizza. Try the Cosmonaut!

Yelp
Fun drinks, music, people. Definitely order the bruschetta and have Vinny make you a drink--he's the best!

Yelp
Enjoyed an afternoon private party here and it was awesome. They make an incredible Detroit Style square pizza that you have to try. Our bartender Juan could not have been more accommodating and he makes a perfect spicy margarita. Give it a try!
google avatar

Yelp
You could easily pass by on the street and miss this place but you definitely shouldnt. The inside has a very cute inside, the bartenders make incredible drinks. This is my favorite pizza place in the area and easily the best square pie around. Pepperoni pizza is my favorite the potato pizza everyone didn't love as much
google avatar

Yelp
I loved the food, its so taste. Salami Pizza with hot honey and basil was a 8/10. but I will come back again

Aniya H.

Yelp
Delicious deep dish pizza in NJ! I'm the type that just loves good pizza, no matter if it's Detroit style, NY style or Chicago style. This pizza is tasty and there's some unique flavors to choose from. Also great service--I went on a Monday evening because a friend was in town, and the bartender and waiters were friendly.
google avatar

Ron M.

Yelp
This is the best cocktail bar we've found in Jersey City. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The cocktails are great and the mixologists are great at creating a custom drink based on you taste profile. The Detroit style pizza is really good and the ambiance is fun any night at nearly any hour.

Yelp
Everyone knows Lofi is great. The Margherita and Earth First pies are my favorites from the OG menu and I am very happy to see some recent new additions. Eggplant 9 from Outer Space is seriously good. I'm not usually a big fan of eggplant, but it is so good on this pie that I've changed my mind about eggplant. The Huevos Ranchero pie on the Brunch menu is also worth a try and is another favorite. Most recently I had the Couch Potato, which I was super excited to try because I love potato pizza. Unfortunately it fell flat for me as a potato pie because there wasn't much potato on it. I encourage Lofi to go harder on the rosemary and potato ratio, but as just a white pie it was good. Looking forward to trying the Blitzreig Brocoli soon, thanks for all the new vegetarian options Lofi!

Melanie M.

Yelp
Been to Lofi a couple times now. It's a good local spot for some bites and a drink. The service is attentive and I especially enjoy their outdoor seating on a nice day or evening.
google avatar

Elayne W.

Yelp
Delicious Detroit style pizza all priced less than $20! The pies are perfectly sized to share with 6 slices and I love how crunchy the crust is. The quality is comparable to Emily's but at a much more affordable price. We ordered the eggplant 9 from outer space, pesto italiano and motor city with serrano chili and hot honey pizzas and brussels salad. We loved all the pizzas! Beware the serrano chilis are pretty spicy. The ambiance inside is pretty casual with a huge bar with seating and an outdoor area as well. Service was attentive refilling our waters also. Can't wait to come back here to try more pies!0
google avatar

Genia N.

Yelp
Lofi is one of the best pizza places not just in Jersey City but Hoboken as well. A short walk up to The Heights and you feel like you're back in Brooklyn circa 2012: cool people, great bars and awesome food. The pizza is Detroit-style so it's square and thick but not deep-dish like Chicago. The flavors are great (my favourite is Aloha Satellite). Love the rice bowls too and the burrata as an app. The drinks deserve their own paragraph: always great no matter the season. Ask for a Rosalita, it's off-menu so you'll feel like a regular. The vibe is great too, especially when you can sit at the back patio on the spring/summer. Run, don't walk!
google avatar

Adam S.

Yelp
A few people recommended this spot to me. It was definitely worth the drive. My wife and I shared a pie, with fried eggplant on top. The pizza was doughy and crispy as it should be. A lot of different specialty pies to choose from.
google avatar

Ryan C.

Yelp
Love it here, consistently great cocktails, and the Detroit style pizza is amazing. Pretty much always go with the classic Margherita red pie or the Motor City (pepperoni) red pie. The buffalo cucumber salad is also fantastic.
google avatar

George B.

Yelp
The Thuper Thupreme was alright, but the Motor City Pizza with Hot Honey is what you should be ordering, along with Bonzai Bbq Ribs . Sadly wasn't able to photo those two items. The drink was alright, does its job. Overall a nice place to hang out and enjoy good company
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night with a friend. I found this place on Yelp and wanted to try deep dish pizza. Once I entered I was greeted by the host and there was a 15 minute wait so got a drink at the bar. The place has a speakeasy vibe, very dim and chill. Once we got seated we started off with the burrata which was solid. It came with toasted bread drizzled with olive oil (I think?). For the main, got the motor city with hot honey, which I highly recommend getting, and the Earth first pizza. They were both really good! I will say one deep dish pizza is enough for two but def worth getting two types to mix it up. If your in the mood for pizza, I highly recommend giving this place a shot. I will be back. * great cocktails * street parking * great service * not too loud
google avatar

Marisa M.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Great food and great cocktails. Cool decor when you walk in. They have pin ball machine backs hanging up in some spots which is cool. It would be even cooler if they had a pin ball machine. But anyway this place is still awesome. Filling up at 530 on a Saturday and an hour later it was filled. A big party in the front as well. Staff were extremely friendly and approached us right away asking were we wanted to sit. Each cocktail we got was excellent and worth the $14. My husband got the notorious FIG and it was delicious. You could actually taste both the fig and cocoa. It was so good. I got the hitching a ride which had pineapple flavors and made me feel like I was on an island. We shared one pizza. 6 slices per pizza and I thought 1 pizza was enough to share. It was thick and crispy and gooey. We got the motor city which is a pepperoni pizza. It comes with hot honey on the side. It's spicy as is with the pepperoni so I didn't use too much of the hot honey, but it was very good. The only other Detroit style pizza I have tried was Emily squared. And this place is much better!! At least in my opinion. Apparently this place had been open for 5 years and I had no idea! We only moved to the area a couple of years ago. We will definitely come back!
google avatar

Jonathan M.

Yelp
Everything about this place is awesome! Service is always good to us....Anything off of the menu never disappoints. The ribs, street corn salad, the pizzas (motor city, aloha satellite, jersey cosmonaut) all of it...I'm going to miss going back to SF! Highly recommend this local spot!!
google avatar

Eunice K.

Yelp
Kitchen closes at a certain time and bar is still open til late Thuper thupreme: good. Thick and crispy... also super light soft. I love the crispy bottom and reminds me of pizza I used to eat as a kid lol. I wish there was more sauce or red sauce on the side but still really good (I think most places should give a side of marinara as an option or something). I'd get it again but also I like trying new things so I honestly wouldn't if it was my choice. I think the meatballs on the pizza didn't taste as good. Maybe it was too dry or something but nothing to really complain about Bartender is nice. Service is good. Cute place Bathroom is clean Parking: street

Meshon C.

Yelp
Kid you not, this was some of the best deep dish pizza I've had probably ever! Super chill and calm atmosphere with good drinks. Gets pretty busy on weekends and may have to wait for a table but totally worth the wait
google avatar

Disha S.

Yelp
Great ambiance, delicious cocktails- each made to perfection. Bruschetta was perfectly flavored, fresh and delicious. Their marg pizza was delicious as well. Didn't love the mushroom truffle oil pizza as it was too strong of a flavor for my liking, although I love truffle oil on my pizza regularly. Would def recommend margherita, bruschetta and cocktails!
google avatar

Brandon M.

Yelp
Great restaurant and has so many flavors. The service was great and friendly. The pizza was outstanding. The pizza quality was great. Lots of toppings and the sauce was perfectly good too. The pizza was cooked perfectly. The salads were fresh and has nice flavor. Everything was so fresh and the salad was well-seasoned. The Warm burata cool and has pleasant, good seating for larger groups.

Yelp
Finally got the chance to check this place out on a Saturday at around 12:45. It wasn't too busy but service was a bit slow since the poor bartender was doing double duty making drinks and serving food. We ordered two pizzas between me and my husband, which was really ambitious because we probably ate like 1.5 slices each and we were already stuffed. The pies are pretty heavy so I would probably only recommend getting more than one if you have at least 4 people. We had leftovers for days, which I normally wouldn't be mad at pizza leftovers but we literally ate this for at least 4-5 more meals and at that point, it's a chore (but I'm also not one to let pizza go to waste). The two pies we chose were the Earth First (crimini mushroom, shiitake mushroom, caramelized onion, ricotta, truffle oil, and parsley) and the Thuper Thupreme (sweet sausage meatballs, pepperoni, spicy sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, olives, marinara, and oregano). Both were great and so cheesy, with the cheese pushed to the edge, making it super crispy, as a Detroit pizza should be. But like I said, one slice is already really filling. Definitely not something you would want to eat too often. Will be back to try some of their other menu items. The Street Corn Named Desire pie, and the burrata caught my eye.
google avatar

Elysa O.

Yelp
What a gem of a spot. Very cool vibe and the Detroit style pizza is to die for. Tasted amazing. Not salty at all and burnt cheese crust is just what you need when taking in your first bite. Will definitely be back to explore the menu.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a nice dive-esque bar (meaning it's dark inside but has decent a/c) and real flatware. I'm not sure what Detroit style pizza is supposed to be like for comparison. Admittedly this was my first taste of "Detroit style" pizza. I had the "Streetcorn named desire" because my Argentinian friend accompanying me insists that corn on pizza is good. I don't feel strongly about corn on pizza, but I know that this pizza was way too salty to enjoy. It's a white pie with not very salty ingredients, so I believe they add salt separately, and our pie did not have the lime zest indicated in the menu, so I am not sure if that might have balanced the flavors more. I suppose the Detroit style is in the crust, which is buttery and soft. If eating outside, there is a strange and loud humming noise every few seconds which apparently is the restaurant's faucet system reacting any time someone uses the sink in the kitchen. Other than that specific pizza, I do recommend the pickled veggies as a sharing plate. It's light, crunchy, and tasty without being overpoweringly salty. The cocktails are also nice, although quite pricey for the location and the digs.

Yelp
Had dinner and drinks at Low Fidelity on Friday evening. A fun bar that also serves up some solid pizza. Quality: In an area without too many bars, Low Fidelity fills a nice space. They have a nice cocktail list and some tasty snacks. I think the food was a bit better than the signature cocktails, but no real complaints from my end. For cocktails I had the Pina Amarga, which was too bitter for me, but would definitely be many folks favorite, and the Bad Decisions, which I had hoped for a bit more heat, but still was quite good. For food we went with the Warm Burrata, which had a bit more mozzarella skin than I'm used to, but was paired well with hot honey drizzled bread. The Thuper Thupreme, their Detroit style supreme pizza was excellent. Great crunch, nice balance, and loaded, but not overloaded with toppings. Quantity: Heavy pizza that will quickly fill you up. Value: $14 for Cocktails. $9 for Warm Burrata. $15-$19 for Pizza. Ambiance: Low Fidelity is a cocktail bar and pizza spot located in Jersey City Heights. They have a pretty large indoor space as well as a big backyard patio. Since it was threatening rain they were encouraging guests to sit inside. Inside has a bar at the center, with tables surrounding it on each side. Old neon signs, skateboards, and other odds and ends filled the wall as decor. A few televisions showed baseball and 80s alternative rock played in the background. Crowd: Good sized crowd soon after it opened on Friday night. Family friendly, but mostly couples enjoying after work cocktails. Service: Quick and efficient service, food is out fast. Parking: Some street parking in the nearby area.

Yelp
I'm not a huge fan of Detroit style pizza but have enjoyed the pizza we have gotten from here. Think having them in person is the best. Have had it at the restaurant and delivery. We enjoyed the Broccoli Salad and Motor City Pizza. Glad to have it around

Great cocktails and great pizza. First time trying Detroit style pizza. Nice atmosphere and staff, great place to have in the neighborhood.

Yelp
"Amazing!" "Delicious!" "Best Detroit style pizza!" These are the key words in almost every other review. And while I can see why, I'm just not convinced. Read on, friend! My party of four arrived hungry around 645-7ish, to a hopping bar and packed tables. We didn't have a reservation so we were directed to the bar to enjoy a drink by a friendly manager who promised we were next in line when a table opened up in about 15 minutes or so. This proved accurate, however it took that long to get our drinks ordered as the bar was indeed VERY busy. The menu does feature several named cocktails highlighting different liquors, and they all seemed packed with fun ingredients. My Hunter's Gallows scotch based drink was delightfully refreshing, made with ginger, lemon and bitters. At $14 a pop, the cocktails are less about the drink and more about enjoying some fancy. A bit small for the price. I did not choose to order a second. The ambiance is very dim, dull lighting with warm amber exposed bulbs way too high on the ceiling, no acoustic treatment so everyone's loud conversations at the bar overtake your intimate conversation at a table. Honestly the lighting is just TOO dark in certain areas of the restaurant. They splice in a few pops of color and original art on the walls lends some lofi credit. Once seated, service was fine - I wouldn't say it was quick and efficient, but certainly hurried to ensure that we were satisfied and tended to. On a busy Saturday evening this is to be expected and I don't take any points away from them. All the staff was kind and appreciative of our business. Orders went in: The warm burrata with hot honey and bread is a delight. An absolute must for the table. Beet salad is arugula w/pistachios and goat cheese, I think the serving size is perfect for four people to enjoy. Now let's talk the braised beef rice bowl. What you see in the picture is what was left at the end of the meal. Barely touched, as the meal genuinely carried no flavor. Outside of the onion, where was the salt? The pepper? What was the beef braised with? Hot water that washed away all the flavor? Very disappointing. The sandwich, the Bourgeois Pig, was "pretty good" but definitely looked lacking in the basket. No picture. The Motor City Pizza: listen.... I wanted to like this more than I did. The dough was dense of course but the way everything baked up it was more like a pizza bread than a pizza? I've had several Detroit style pizzas and this one didn't quite compare in the way I had hoped it would. I suspect it could have used slightly more cheese. The sauce was pretty good, and I do love that hot honey on the side! The verdict: I'm giving 3/5 stars here, but I'm not saying I wouldn't go back. The menu has more to explore and I definitely want to try a few other pizza options.

Yelp
What a vibe, what a place. Who knew you could get a great Detroit Style pizza on Palisades Avenue??? The venue is super chill with the coolest graphic boards donning the walls with classic retro gaming art too. Music is '80's indie-cool. Now for the pizza, skip that over-hyped cheesy club wannabe Bloomfield place and head in over to where the real party and pizza is at...in The Heights, Jersey City!

Yelp
Delicious Detroit-style pizza, super tasty, and delicious cocktails. I got the white potato pizza, my wife got the ribs and we shared the shishito peppers in pecorino cream. Service is definitely leisurely so don't go there if you're in a rush (or order takeout), but it was worth it for us.

Yelp
Solid spot! We stopped in early Sunday for brunch- cocktails were good and so was service. I had the mezcal "emotional intelligence" and we also ordered the Bourbon mint tea punch- both were good! We then ordered two pies (highly recommend!!) so we could take home a couple slices! We ordered Earth first, which had caramelized onions and mushrooms with a truffle oil- yum! We also tired Motor City, which is covered in pepperoni. We also got a side of vodka sauce, our servers genius suggestion. Solid call. We loved it. Would recommend this spot!!

Yelp
I've been here twice and really enjoyed their Margherita pizza. Get it with the serranos if you like a good spicy kick. I also tried their Jersey Cosmonaut, which wasn't my cup of tea- I don't really enjoy smoked mozzarella. However, if you do, then you will probably enjoy this pie as well. The cocktails pretty decent as well. The service is great, everyone is friendly and food comes out quick. The ambiance is also nice. This place does get packed but I got seated pretty quickly in my experience. They also have a cute outdoor seating area in the back, which I'm sure is great in the warmer months. I'll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Absolutely NOT. The host with the coward attitude needs to learn people skills. Honest review and bizarre I have to even mention this. Walked in got id security guard then asks if we need a table yes thank you. Security guard directs us to sit in the front. We sit. We scan the QR code waiting for service. Host who we thought was waiter comes up with a nasty attitude asking if we spoke to him. Obviously not! So why are you even approaching us with this rude question. I then explain no the security guard told us to sit down. He gives a snarky attitude as if we are intruding and explains that this is reserved for someone. OK?!! Host starts to walk away while suggesting with hands to leave, we get up security guard immediately apologizes to us more than once. It was his fault too although at first I didn't want to blame him but yes he placed us in this awkward position, I said the host was rude to us and you need to let him know you told us to sit there. Nothing happens. I am a professional and needed to let the host know that was unnecessary the host is approached by me and I let them know they did not need to be rude to us. Host had a poor demeanor and was adamant they weren't rude but continued with an attitude the host then proceeded to walk away. I walked away as there was clearly no accountability from this person. As I'm walking away they then turn around to loudly yell to the security guard not to let us back in. I am clearly walking away and out of this place. Really confused on how this is normal and this is allowed. Wish the experience was different. Three stars as I reached out to owner and they apologized and tried to fix the situation but hire people who know and will do better as if they are the owner. Many establishments in the area, inflation is high people are more serious about where they spend their hard earned money, word spreads.

Yelp
Fantastic Detroit style pizza. This is really unlike anything else I've had. I am mostly a traditional pizza person but Low Fidelity's Detroit style pies are amazing. They have different ones but honestly I'm very happy with the plain one. My wife usually gets the one with the Truffle sauce on it,

Yelp
Shout out to the incredible staff at LoFi for staying open during a heat wave, with a broken A/C, and still providing impeccable service. Long live the best watering hole in Le Heights
