Tampa Bay Bars and Restaurants Serving Astral Tequila | Eater

"Not that Tampa Bay is ever lacking for places to enjoy a drink by the water, but if you’re looking for somewhere new to imbibe al fresco check out this new spot from the people behind Steelbach and Ro. Set on the lower level of the Pointe, Lower Deck brings a sunny, laid-back vibe and a menu of fresh seafood and elevated bar snacks, like panko-crusted mozzarella sticks and black cherry barbecue chicken wings. You’ll also find a full bar with drinks tailor made to enjoy in the sunshine. Try the No Wake Zone, a Lower Deck original with Astral Blanco, Dolin vermouth, crème de violette, fresh lime, and orgeat liqueur." - Matthew Meltzer

Issa whole vibe! As many times I’ve been to this area honestly never even noticed Lower Deck. Super cute set up for those with or without boats! The drinks are great & the food is really good! The view is breathtaking! I can’t wait to go back & try more menu options! The staff is super friendly & the atmosphere is something you can’t explain - just go & see for yourself!

I love stumbling on a spot by accident & it actually was worth it. It's family friendly vibes. My wings & fish sandwich was 10/10. Shout out to the manager that handled an error with above & beyond solution.

Ally is hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. She’s not only quick and skilled behind the bar, but also incredibly friendly and attentive. She remembered my drink after just one visit and made everyone feel welcome with her positive energy. If you’re lucky enough to have Ally serving you, you’re in for a great night. Highly recommend!

Avoid at All Costs! Downtown Tampa Deserves Better What could have been a top tier bar turns out to be a chaotic, overpriced disaster. My second visit was somehow worse than the first. $25 for a basic mixed drink in a flimsy plastic cup? Feels more like a failed frat party than a real bar. Lines stretched over 30 minutes just to get a drink because they’ve only got two or three pop-up bars that can’t keep up. To top it off, we were publicly hassled by a power tripping manager over wristbands that were never given nor even mentioned at the entrance. Two fully legal adults were accused of underage drinking due to having no wristbands, IDs were doubted, and then they called the bouncers, all for nothing. The bouncers checked and told us we were good. The entire interaction was embarrassingly unprofessional. To top it off they still didn’t give us wristbands despite being the whole point of them stopping us. The place is very poorly run, the vibe is off, and even the crowd seemed to agree. I overheard at least six people say “this place sucks.” They weren’t wrong. Save your money and your night. Go literally anywhere else.

1st time here, its really nice place actually. Shout out to the hostess I didn't get her name however I had a little incident where a guy got really angry at my friend and I for so-called stealing his seat. And the hostess stood up for us to let him know he can walk back to another table because he kept leaving the assigned table every 15 minutes. I will be back again, great service here. & a great place to catch the sunset

I recently came here for a couple drinks and can’t begin to express how exceptional the service was provided by Karli. She was attentive without being intrusive, and made sure our glasses were always full. Her enthusiasm and passion for the places offerings were evident, which added a personal touch that was greatly appreciated. Overall, she made our experience unforgettable. Thank you for such a great evening. 10/10

I was having a rough day—work stress piling up and just feeling out of it. I stopped by Lower Deck hoping for a quick drink and a moment to breathe, but what I got was way more than that. Will, the bartender, completely turned my day around. Not only did he serve up some seriously good drinks (like, really good), but he also took the time to actually listen. No fake small talk—just real conversation and a fresh perspective that honestly helped me see things a little clearer. It’s rare to find someone who’s both an amazing bartender and just a genuinely solid guy. The hospitality was on point, and I walked out feeling better than when I came in—which is saying a lot. Will’s the kind of guy that makes a place worth coming back to.

We live a few blocks from the Lower Deck. While the concept is just fantastic, it falls very short of expectations. We made an open table reservation a month in advance for visiting family... The week before the reservation, I was politely called by the manager to share that my reservation had to be cancelled because they had a special event. The place is new, so I understood that there would be startup errors...no big deal... the manager kindly booked us for the next night instead. We arrived for our reservation.. were seated promptly by the awesome hostess into a lovely couch by the waters edge (for the sunset) It took a while for a server to approach...but when he did he was super friendly. He took our order and then never came back. We snapped a few pictures...and waited for our drinks...and to order food. 25 minutes later drinks still never arrived... The music was so loud at this venue... even in the open air atmosphere...couldn't even speak to a person sitting right next to you.. If I was there for a concert or to just listen to music it would be great.. but this is a social place.. a conversation sectional couch.. I love lively upbeat music...Love to people watch and mingle.. but this place is just too loud... WAYYYY TO LOUD! We saw our waiter.. he didn't look in a hurry to get to us.. So we got up and left...Such a bummer. Love the concept just not the execution!

Yelp
Meh. If you're committed to waterfront views that look At TGH construction and paying 20.00 for parking on a weekend (garages from the city were closed off for Lightning events, etc) , the lower deck is perfect. The burger I had was good but nothing amazing, our server was sweet. This is not a place I would go out of my way to head to. Restrooms are upstairs in the lobby of the building past the Starbucks.

Yelp
Right here on Harbour Island Honestly The food is ok at best The drinks are weak and pricey The staff is not friendly or ready to serve. They seem to like to talk with each other more than serving me a drink. But the view is perfect with the boats and people walking around. There are two other restaurants right next to them that are very decent that I'd rather go too. To bad

Yelp
I've been twice so far since they've opened and consistently am amazed by the location and views of the restaurant. It's right by the water and you get beautiful sunset views just next to TGH. The seating is nice with spacious arrangement of the couches on the patio. The food has been good, I've previously tried the chicken Caesar salad and fries (not pictured). I've also tried their aperol spritz which also was made well! I will comment that the servers work incredibly hard - but it seems they are understaffed unfortunately. It could be a side effect of growing pains and just recently opening so I am excited to see how they adapt to their popularity!

Yelp
Wish there was ANY NA options, when I asked the bartender Alli if there were any Heineken zeros, she responded with what seemed some annoyance "no zeros, I have coors and miller lite" not what I was asking for but thanks for the info! Not the nicest bartender, wasn't super busy so not sure what the attitude was for. The woman who dropped my food off however delivered it with a genuine smile. Anthony, the bartender who ended up taking care of us the rest of the time was amazing and personable. The calamari was pretty so-so, I ordered a pina colada (which already has rum inside of it) for my friends to try and that was delicious. The view is beautiful and the music/vibes are what people come here for I'm sure. Just a friendly reminder service with a smile means a lot!

Yelp
I was charged twice on my credit card after letting them open a tab on my card. Upon arrival I opened a tab and the waitress took my card. I ordered 2 drinks and a meal. I paid and left. 2 days later I noticed a charge for $41 and a second charge for $158. After contacting the restaurant several times they have not refunded my money! I will not be returning!

Yelp
The place is well designed and the view is spectacular. However - their service is abysmal. Sat ourselves and waited 15 minutes for anyone to come over - asked for 2 beers and 2 waters - never came back - never got to try the food. Hopefully just working out the kinks but seemed like they need a manager or someone to be in charge.

Yelp
Bartenders are absolute c***s. They gave us attitude and stared at us immediately before we even sat down. Then came up and interrupted my conversation with my friend to say "we weren't talking about you". Obviously listening to our conversation. Which is completely insane to do. Then proceeded to stare at the ladies we were with and purposely ignore us and talk about us to her coworkers.

Yelp
Slowest service in the world. I don't like it I don't like it I don't like it. But I will be back next weekend so PLEASE FOR CHRISTS SAKE step it up or let me behind the bar to make my own drinks. I can do my multiplication tables faster than I can get a bucket. Thanks

Yelp
Great views. Food and drinks were good. Service was a bit slow but not terrible. The best part is the atmosphere.

Yelp
This place has great views but the drinks are expensive. The pulled pork taco salad is incredible and they actually hook you up with a good portion of meat for those that are hungry. The chicks that work here are beautiful.

Yelp
The Lower Deck on Harbour Island has an awesome view. However, it is very disappointing that there aren't really any vegetarian items on the menu other than a salad or a slice of cheese pizza.
