Douglas Lager Wants to Bring an Easy-Drinking ‘Macro-Style’ Beer Back to Seattle - Eater Seattle

"Smith and Marti’s Lowercase Brewing in South Park specializes in lagers, but Douglas isn’t part of that brand, a decision they made in order to separate it from craft beer culture. 'By bringing this outside the Lowercase umbrella, we’re making it more approachable,' Smith says." - Brianna Gunter

A Low-Alcohol Beer Maker Takes Over for South Park’s Burdick Brewery - Eater Seattle

"Burdick and neighboring brewery Lowercase were forced to shutter their public spaces after code inspectors determined the spaces weren’t 'up to snuff and would either need to be closed or upgraded with prohibitively expensive modifications.' Both breweries opted to continue brewing on site, each moving over into a new space within the same complex they had occupied." - Megan Hill

Had read alot about Lowercase Brewing and wanted to try it out for a long time. We walked in and immediately noticed that they have a very very limited beer menu. They do have seats for smaller groups but for larger groupd, you may need to split up across tables or wait for some folks to leave to be able to occupy the chairs and tables available. Anyways, we ordered the mexican lager and longbutt beer. Both the beers were okay and tasted flat. I then ordered the saizon which was also okay. Even our friends who joined us here had the same opinion. Not sure what went wrong this day but we did not really enjoy our beers here. This place has a good vibe with the dj playing some good music but at times it can be too loud to hear any conversations. The first thing I noticed when we stopped by is that they have no free parking and the private lot is expensive. I mean this aint Seattle downtown to charge those rates. Also please pay for this parking else they charge you a ticket for $55. All in all I am glad I tried this brewery but may not come back again since I did not enjoy their collection as much i would love to.

We were on the last day of our 19 day road trip before flying back home to Florida and Paul made it such as memorable experience for us! Smaller beer selection, more of an intimate inside setting with outdoor patio seating and I did have to pay for parking which I thought was odd (limited free parking). I wish they had more of a variety of stronger beers (all on the lighter side). Overall I really enjoyed Paul’s personality, hospitality and learning on how he became a bartender here in Seattle when his family is spread out all across the country.

Fantastic taproom in Georgetown - a winning combo of good beers and outstanding service. They have a great selection of beers (11) and the IPAs were delicious and not overwhelmingly hoppy. Free popcorn for the asking and kids friendly. We shall be back!

Good all around beer. I enjoyed thier Stouts/ Porter more than others, but also had some interesting IPAs. Place is nice, clean, and good atmosphere. Staff nice. Definately a cool small brewery to check out.

We came here to have the Side Hustle doughnuts. Yes, it's inside the brewery. Mini cream-filled donuts, iced cold brew coffee (horchata flavor), and beer tasting- all under one roof...so awesome! The donuts come inside an egg carton- so cute. They have cream-filled and frosted donuts. You cannot order regular drip coffee here. They do have Americano - shot of espresso and hot water. They also have hot tea- chamomile or earl grey. The espresso drinks (lattes) are iced. They charge if you want to take the mason jar to go.

One of my favorite breweries in Seattle! They always have a nice variety on tap. Definitely come for one of the donut and beer pairings; they’re always delicious. Also has a nice patio area to sit outside on a nice day.

Great brewery and location. Beer is good not overly done and tasty. Space is great especially for summer with garage doors and outdoor patio.
