London’s Best Romantic Restaurants for Valentine’s Day 2020 | Eater London

"Another great way to score a table on February 14? Eat late. Loyal Tavern, former Duck and Waffle executive chef Tom Cenci’s buzzy all-day restaurant on Bermondsey Street, is open until 1.30am on Fridays and Saturdays: what could be more romantic than a table at, say 9.30pm, with grilled flatbreads, beetroot tartare, rib of beef and warm chocolate brownies (all of which are on the Valentine’s Day menu)." - Emma Hughes

Enjoyed spot - The food was absolutely delicious, especially the Crispy Cactus Egg Rolls, and service was attentive and friendly.

I can't help but give high marks for the super chill sports bar venue. Amazing viewing options with all the screens and seating. Very comfortable! The food, however, is decent with a few bright spots. The BBQ nachos rock. Very tasty with either brisket or chicken. Their chicken 🐔 🪽 wings are just shy of being cooked well. Fry them a tad more, please. The hot sauce lacks depth of flavor. Meh. Surprisingly, the crab bite are a winner. I am not big on ordering this type of item at a bar, but my friend wanted them and they turned out to be very tasty. The burger 🍔 could be OK, if the bun quality was improved. As for the fries, again a more seconds in the frier and they would be crispy, not on the limp side. Beers 🍻 are always cold. I can only speak to our server, so take this with context. She was sort of friendly and on the spot when you asked her for something, but she was in no way proactive. I had to waive her down most times, as our glasses would remain empty otherwise, and they weren't even that busy. It is so easy to swing by and ask if your customers need anything.

Emma and Ash are my fav bartenders! Chicken Caesar Wrap with extra Christy fries is my go to. Great prices and also really great apps. Also awesome place to watch sports!

Here from out of town for school and exploring the area. Was walking by and decided to come in for drink, stayed for 10. Food was great and bartenders Emma and Ashley were awesome, attentive and gave amazing service. They were great conversation and gave us great recommendations on what to do in the area. Def coming back. Thank you

We came after Alive after Five, all the restaurants were super packed. We came to Loyal Tavern and got a table without much wait. Our server, MJ was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, I don’t have enough amazing words to say about him. He was attentive, sweet and made our night great. MJ is what makes this restaurant great.

Google
We came in to watch the sweet 16 on Saturday and Sunday. The service at the bar is horrible. The bartenders do their best to not help the guests. They walk around with their head downs so they don’t have to acknowledge you. On Sunday we were having chicken tenders and fries, we asked for some ketchup for our fries. Before we even got to use it, a manager came by and grabbed it to take it to a table. I asked him if we could get some and he told me to relax he would bring us some. This is a shame because the food is really good. Just watch the greeters and bartenders and see if that is the level of service your customers should be getting. The one exception was Jade, she was awesome.

Too many times, people only leave negative reviews on here. I wanted to take the time to show some love to the folks at Loyal Tavern. Hayden always takes great care of us from behind the bar. She's attentive and works hard and has a great attitude. She finds time to give that personal touch even when the bar is slammed. We love Hayden! Alex (GM) has been phenomenal. I feel that there have been huge improvements in pretty much every area at Loyal since he has been there. The food, the atmosphere and employee morale have all been great under his management. Larry (Manager) does a great job as well. He has his employees' backs and works hard. Great managers set the stage for great service and a great customer experience. There are several other employees that I could single out, but I'm not always the best with names, but the staff is so good. We always have a great experience when we go to Loyal. My friends and I LOVE that they have the NHL package and you pretty much won't miss any sports you're looking for on their many, high quality TVs. The food is also great. Don't miss the BBQ Chicken Nachos, wings, Buffalo Shrimp and Wagyu Sliders. I can't think of any menu items that I've tried that I didn't like. Keep up the great work!

Yelp
First time at Loyal Tavern! Very lucky they were open on New Years Eve. We had a very sweet server! First impressions- this place is loud! There are soo many screens so it would be an amazing place to watch the game. One of the places you have to shout to talk, but hey it's a sports bar and that's the feel! I'm sure it was a bit crazy as well being New Years Eve. The nachos were great! We got the full size so it was pretty big. The fried shrimp were just okay. We will definitely be back tho because we liked the food and experience overall!

Yelp
The fried jalapeño were slightly spicy. We went to watch the Joe Burrow game. We've also watched a ton of Alabama games here and boo'd poo poo Georgia Dawgs fans bc they stink! Roll Tide! I love the cheese curds and that this place is the only gosh darn bar open past like 6/7pm I swear to god! We have shared lots of memories over the years here bc we party and everywhere else on canton shuts down way too early for Christ sake!

Yelp
This is a great place to watch whatever game you want to see. TVs everywhere and a friendly staff behind the bar. They are fast, ensuring your glass is not empty for long. The food is fantastic as well. I had the dugout burger. Juicy beef with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and dugout sauce. Their brioche buns are a delight. I added some sweet potato fries (a little sweet and a little salty). I also had a side salad with their maple vinaigrette...yum! I look forward to my next visit to Roswell and hope I'm there on a Saturday or Sunday during football season.

Yelp
Popped in here with my hubby and daughter the other day and it did not disappoint. I ordered buffalo hot wings, which were definitely packing a spicy punch. It was almost too spicy but I really enjoyed the flavor and kick. I especially liked the blue cheese dressing, which is easily the best blue cheese dressing I've ever had. It helped cool down the spice on the wings and was so yummy I could have eaten it by itself. Hubby got the bbq wings and liked them. My daughter ordered her usual mac and cheese with fries and was a happy camper. We had the cheese curds to start, which were a bit on the greasy side but very tasty. Overall, great food and service. We had a good experience and will likely be back soon.

Yelp
Waitstaff great! Was served very cold queso, asked to heat up and was told to order a fresh queso and they would not heat up. Asked for a manager was told everyone was too busy. Disappointing to say the least.

Yelp
Given my experience at Loyal Tavern, it is a must visit spot for an easy lunch if you're in downtown Roswell. The ambiance is exactly what you would expect for a sports bar. Lots of TVs to watch any game you can imagine. The service was also right on. We sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive and the food came out quickly. The food was really what put them over the top. I ordered the Double BBQ Bacon Burger and it was great. It was loaded up with great toppings including a great amount of bacon. The fries were also really tasty and the meal came with a lot. I haven't eaten at too many other places in downtown Roswell but the value here was great. In the future if I'm in downtown Roswell and need a place where I can definitely get a good meal, I'll definitely be returning to Loyal Tavern.

Yelp
sHoRt HaNdEd like the rest of the world now days. Empty tables all over the place but still took forever to get seated. They were apologetic when our 20 minute wait turned into an hour, apologetic when they ran out of french fries, cooked more, and then forgot to bring them to our table, and apologetic for not refilling our drinks. I understand, though. It was lunch time on Saturday in a tourist town in the middle of July. How were they supposed to know it would be busy?

Cole B.

Yelp
Great place to watch football! Service is fantastic and Loyal has some of the best appetizers on Canton Street.

Yelp
We are here early on New Years Eve. Taylor was our waitress/server and she was great. Very patient with us and also very friendly. The food was also excellent, I had the Nashville chicken sandwich and it was very good. Great ambience and a cool place to watch sports, plenty of tvs.

Yelp
What an interesting place to say the least. Very friendly staff - but a sports bar that doesn't have ESPN + available...which means no hockey telecasts at all, and a huge dent in available college sports. I have to say the food is well above average for a sports bar, the interior is laid out pretty well, and again the staff (at least at the bar) were friendly and attentive. Now Owner - plop down the $6.99 a month for ESPN, and you just might be on to something.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came into Loyal Tavern Sunday for the game, and I loved our bartender. She was very responsive and made our drinks quickly and deliciously. We even talked about how both of us are not Georgia natives. Later on that night, the crowd began to pick up. I witnessed my bartender get GROPED by another customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was absolutely disgusted, there were a handful of staff members around who did nothing. I am absolutely appalled by what I have witnessed. This indecency killed my appetite, so my boyfriend and I had to leave. I hope the store's management cared for her and that man with wondering hands is banned. Restaurants do better!

Yelp
My husband came here with some coworkers and enjoyed the food so much that we (Family of 4) visited a week later. We ordered chicken strips and fries for the kids (which were delicious btw) and we had wings. They have a great selection of sauces for the wings and the garlic ranch is to die for. The wings were still crispy with the sauces - which is an A+ rating with me. I enjoyed a peach margarita that was super refreshing. The service was great. We sat done almost immediately even though the place was fairly packed. Our served was extremely pleasant and had a great sense of humor.

Yelp
This was just ok. Very regular. You could skip this one for lunch. Very much bar food. I ordered a chicken sandwich, I should have ordered wings. The fried pickle chips were to salty to eat and the buffalo shrimp was not good. Service also lacking which I give a little grace because the server was working the entire place alone, although no I think of it, there were only 5 ppl in the restaurant ordering. I might return to try something else, but there are multiple restaurants on this strip to not have to return here for lunch.

Yelp
bar service with Hayden is outstanding!! She was on top of our food and drink order, friendly and engaging! AND sliders my favorite

Yelp
Giving this establishment 1 star is giving this establishment more than they deserve by far. The staff is awful, well 98% of them. You can be a sitting in there an empty bar and have to beg for service 99% of the time. In fact, there are even times when the bartenders go MIA for who knows how long. The owener Bob is so absent that he makes decisions based on things that are untrue and can not make the time to address them. It is kind of crazy because most nights you can drive by and see literally ZERO people at the bar. BOB, you can't be that busy. The only good thing I can say is the food has improved since the beginning. Jeremy and Manny has always given amazing service and makes a point to say unlike the rest of the staff. The sad part is you let some review that said something untrue lose a good customer. Bob, you definately have bigger fish to fry than what 1 untrue review says. In fact, we have talked in person and I said all of these same things to you verbally. So my review is not based your decision to believe the bad review you read. Now read this one and let it simmer.

Yelp
Overall we loved our lunch here. Everything was amazing and perfect except for one little thing, but it's still bothering me even a week later. The wife was talking with the bartender to figure out a drink and she decided she wanted a margarita like the one on the menu just spicy. The bartender said no problem, what tequila do you want. She said the one that comes with the margarita on the menu. Well I don't know if they picked a higher one or just charged a lot more for the slight modification, but they charged us $18 for the margarita. We didn't expect that. It was a little damper on the whole experience when we got the bill. Other than that, we loved the place. The space is absolutely gorgeous. It's not too big but with plenty of seats. They have an awesome bar with plenty of TV's and confortable seats that I could hang out at for hours. We found the entire staff to be super friendly too. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich for lunch. The fries they serve here are incredibly delicious. Perfect crispy skin, hand cut with some skin still on, excellent crunch with the white fluffy potato on the inside. They served pickles with the meal which was very unique. I have never tasted a pickle quite like it, it was soft and tangy. The bun was excellent vehicle for the chicken which had a crispy crunchy crust and it was truly unbelievable how juicy the chicken was on the inside. My only issue is that it wasn't hot. I should have asked for a side of the sauce. I don't think very much cayenne went into the breading either. However, if you put that aside, it really was one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had. My wife as well was astonished at how much she loved her shrimp po boy. Again, we don't usually put a lot of weight on the bread but it was phenomenal. Perfectly soft and flavorful, but holds the sandwich excellently too. Shrimp was great but that hose made remoulade they served with it was out of this world. I could have just drunk the entire thing. They have a great menu selection and an excellent drink menu with plenty of local beer. The staff if amazing and a great space. We are excited to return, although maybe with a different drink selection this time.

Yelp
I have been to Downtown Historic Roswell many times but I never noticed Loyal Tavern until tonight. A friend and I were supposed to meet at a nearby restaurant but the wait was over an hour so we searched for a new place to dine. We decided on Loyal Tavern and it's the biggest restaurant space I've seen in Downtown Roswell. With such ample space, there was plenty of seating and no wait time. They have TVs all around featuring different sports channels and a wide wraparound bar area. We sat in a quaint booth seat and our server was splendid. I had the purplexity purple cocktail and it was very creative and refreshing. We shared the cheese curds appetizer and it was very tasty accompanied with marinara dipping sauce. My friend had the tacos and a beer and was very satisfied with the flavors, although the tortilla chips were average. I had the beef brisket and mash with a side of gravy. I enjoyed the warm comfort food on a freezing cold winter night. It can be a bit loud inside but it's very lively and much expected for a tavern.

Yelp
It's odd when you come to an area so much and yet forget about all the offerings in the area. Loyal Tavern is one of those places off Canton Street that gets lost in the shuffle. This is my second time coming in here. Was here back in 2019 for St. Patty's Day (it was slam packed then, so had my ex help get me a beer from the bar then). Actually forgot about that until coming in here last night. When my friends mentioned Roswell had a tavern, I said, "really?". This place is actually a decent tavern! The draft menu is pretty long, so if you're looking to grab a beer and walk around Canton Street, this is one option (if you don't feel like walking down to Gate City Brewery). I had a Warsteiner Pilsner, which was great (the German version of Stella). It's a good atmosphere with TVs everywhere and huge comfy booths, huge bar in the center and tables. Kind of like an upscale Taco Mac. Their menu offers a variety of options, mostly gastro pub type foods. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. For as simple as it looked, it packed a lot of heat & taste. The fries were so-so. My friend's daughter had wings, and I tried one ... wow, very hot and moist. I liked how they sliced the carrots up and celery with the wings. The service was great too! Overall a good experience. I would certainly come back.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stopped at the loyal tavern for a quick bite to eat and trust me, you will not be disappointed! We ordered the fried pickle chips and the beer battered fish and chips. The inside looked like a sports bar type of environment but we sat outdoors since it was such a lovely day that day. Service was also pretty good as our waiter was super quick on bringing us our food and drinks. The pickle chips came first and they were so delicious! They were fried to perfection with a satisfying crunch and the flavor was amazing as well. I liked the mayo based sauce that it came with but honestly, I didn't think it needed it because it would hide the flavor of the fried shell that was so well seasoned. The beer battered fish and chips were also amazing! They definitely know how to properly deep fry their food because the fish was so delicate on the inside but super crunchy on the outside. For something as simple as fried fish and chips, they did a phenomenal job! Overall, i liked the outdoor seating, service was very quick, and the food was amazing! I would definitely stop by again to try some of their other food items.

Yelp
TL;DR Sports bar atmosphere with elevated sports bar food. The first time I came here, it was for a drink. I really like old fashioneds but wasn't that particularly crazy about the mixology here. However, I did eye a Tavern Burger someone ordered and that had me coming back for food later. I really like the interior of this place, though it is a sports bar first ... so you're going to get the typical wall of screens which almost looks out of place. My group had the high top near the window... which was pretty nice. I had the Tavern Burger. It lived up to whatever I had hyped it up to be in my mind. It's nicely elevated. The cauliflower mash fell a little flat. Bland, really. I would go with something else as a side, personally. Brisket cheesesteak was pretty good as well which should be expected from the same folks that bring you Loyal Q and Brew. 4 stars on that burger! HOW TO READ MY REVIEWS: 1 Star - Does not approach edible. Enter at your own risk. 2 Stars - If I'm in the area, I'd pick something else. 3 Stars - I would stop by if I happen to be in the area. 4 Stars - I would pick this place out of other places nearby. 5 Stars - I would go out of my way to dine here.

Yelp
I visited Loyal Tavern today looking for a unique Easter Sunday experience. Two bartenders attended to my husband and I as we sat at the bar. Personally, I liked Hayden's company because she was attentive to my needs and delightful to chat with. My husband and I were having a good time until we noticed the young host being yelled at by someone who appeared to be the manager of some kind.I used to work in customer service, so I can speak to the fact that an adult man acting in a way that is rude toward his younger female employees is unacceptable. I won't be returning to spend money on a company that treats its employees in such a manner. I expected the tenders to be truly outstanding if I was going to spend almost $20 on them. Rather, I was served the most mediocre bar food. I hope whoever owns this business will talk to the manager about his anger issues.

Yelp
First time eating here and had an amazing experience at this place. I finished playing volleyball at the A5 sport complex and brought a group of 9 over to eat. Big shout out to Sarah F, our server, and the amazing kitchen that let us enjoy a spectacular meal even though the kitchen was closing in 10minutes. I loved the steak tips and the salad that Sarah recommended me so much, that I asked for another one, way after the kitchen was already closed. Yet they still made me another! Very happy about my experience here and I thank you guys so much!!

Yelp
LT claims to be a Sports Restaurant. While there to watch the CFP Semifinals, they chose to show replays of past NFL weeks and NHL and NBA rather than turn on the second half of the football game. This was done to chase people away so they could go home. After putting the game on my phone did they finally put the game back on, but with no sound. This is poor customer service and LT has made my list of places to NEVER return!

Yelp
Fast, friendly and fabulous service. The wings are incredible. Juicy and perfectly sauced!

Yelp
We had been in here before for drinks, but decided to grab some snacks the other day. We sat at the bar, and our bartender was very friendly and made us AMAZING peach margaritas. They were seriously delicious. For food, we just split the tavern burger, and it was perfectly cooked and a really solid burger overall. We got the fried pickles as a side, and this was an excellent choice. Super crispy, and a LOT of them. I don't eat mayo, so skipped the sauce, but my wife said it was good. You don't really need anything to dip them into, though - they're killer by themselves. At our bartender's recommendation, we also got a side of the fried okra, and we were VERY glad we did! Their fried okra is some of the best I have ever had. I would go there for drinks and that damn okra, seriously. The vibe is good, folks there were nice, and the food is solid! We'll definitely come back.

Yelp
We stopped in today to try out the new spot on Canton Street, we love the fact that it is a different concept from what already exists here, a sports bar. I know a former yelper said the TVs were dim, but it looks like they may have listened to that as all the TVs were all in good form today, we could see everything great. One of the things we were craving was hot wings and someone had also commented that they had fantastic hot wings, and I am happy to say, I completely agree. They were Crisp and the right amount of spicy and they were a good size wing. The only mixup on the order was was ranch dressing versus blue cheese, I will give them a hall pass for that I also love the fact that there are low carb options here as you can get cauliflower mashed as a side and they have a bit of Parmesan shavings on them, just add a little salt and you have an amazing side dish for those of us trying to watch our carb intake. Service was fantastic, the bartender was extremely attentive, and other than the fact they were out of Michelob ultra on a Sunday afternoon, that was my only disappointment. Nice ambiance, they were quite a few people here today and there are plenty of comfortable seats. I also have to comment on those bathrooms, wow, pretty fancy for Canton Street Lunch was 50 bucks, we did have two beers and one glass of rose in addition to those wings, coleslaw, and cauliflower mash Oh by the way, the coleslaw is vinegar-based, so those of you who don't like that, you are decently forewarned.

Yelp
We ordered Loyal Tavern for delivery via UberEats given the pandemic. The food itself was pretty good as far as taste. While it arrived during the allotted window, several items were already cold. Not room temperature, but cold. It should still have been at least warm by the time it reached us as we live within a few miles of the restaurant. We also ordered four drinks, and they did not send a single one. Lastly, our son ordered the steak tips "well done". They arrived medium (see photo). Overall, quite disappointed. Unsure if we will return or order again due to these mistakes, which is a bummer because the food was tasty once reheated.

Yelp
Talor has completely elevated the LT experience! Personality is magnetic! Me and the BF have been coming here for the past 6 mos because of the sports TVs and people we met but the bartenders never really made the experience elite until now with Talor. Had the best day and will prioritize LT over other bars in the area.

Yelp
Loyal Tavern is a relatively new sports bar located in the heart of Downtown Roswell and unfortunately, it does not live up to what it could be simply because of the terrible service. I went one time and had a poor experience, but waited to review because I don't like to bash any restaurant based on one poor experience. After returning a second time and receiving equally as bad service on a Monday night when the place was nowhere near as busy and they ran out of basic utensils, it seems justified. Other than the poor service, the positive is that the food is decent. Not incredible, but a spot worth going to watch a game and grab a bite to eat. There are so many TVs in this place that you can see at least 5 games usually going on at once. Downtown Roswell has been considered historic for a long time and it seems that more establishments like Loyal Tavern are beginning to move in. As they do, I hope that service is not the first thing that goes by the wayside as it seems has happened at Loyal Tavern.

Yelp
This place is disgusting DO NOT GO!! I ordered the chicken philly cheese steak and they put cheap kraft cheese on it. I asked for a new sandwich with REAL cheese and I get my sandwich with a TIESTRAP IN IT . Not to mention I was sharing this with my year and a half year old. Thank goodness none of us choked! When we called the manager over he made it like it happens all the time and it wasn't a big deal . We will NEVER BE GOING BACK. Don't not recommend

Yelp
Live reviewing! Friday at 1pm. Not too busy. Seated immediately. Great looking place in the old chandlery location. Tons of tv's all on different sports. Comfy booths. Lots of bar space. 12 beers on tap and a ton of local beer in cans and bottles. All pluses except not one gluten free or cider on the list of about 30 beers. I have a gluten sensitive husband. He bloats like a little puffer fish when he eats gluten so one cider in a can would be nice. We order a beer (me) and the not your kids lemonade (him). My beer is great. His is sweet but good. Nice clean bathrooms with a changing table in the men's room. Big plus. We order the patty melt (me) and the brisket nachos (him). Prices are steep even with Roswell standards. A salad with no protein is about $11. Nachos $14. Sandwiches are the best "value" at about $12. Food comes out fast. Oh we have no silverware or napkins. Bartender sees us looking for them and helps us out (it is only 2 weeks old so service should improve). Server was very nice but didn't know what was low in gluten or gluten free. Nachos- brisket is good but he requested no onions and onions all over the place. The topping to chip ratio is off. And whole, huge sliced jalapeños did not add. Too big, too hot and added no flavor. Also greasy chips. Patty melt was weird. I think they use bubba burgers or another frozen patty. Was gummy and chewy. Not fresh beef no matter what. I didn't finish and I never leave meat in the table. Husband ate the patty and agreed it was a weird texture. Hand cut fries were great. So if this was just a restaurant I would give it 2 Stars but Roswell needed a sports bar. Next time just drinks and some fries and to watch the game. Unless food steps up immensely. But hey! 34 tvs!!!

Yelp
Alex was our server tonight and she was AMAZING! Best personality I've seen at this place. Food came out super fast. Recommend.

Yelp
Loyal Tavern is a relatively new upscale sport bar off of Canton St. in Roswell. The space is open and inviting. They have several large screen televisions around the bar, which are great during SEC football season!!! The menu is extensive and has nicer bar food. We started with the cheese curds. They were delicious...kinda like fancy mozzarella sticks! I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with a house salad as my side. The salad was served with a lemon vinaigrette. The vinaigrette was good, but a little more thick than most vinaigrette's. The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was amazing! They literally put buffalo chicken fingers drizzled with ranch dressing in between bread! Too die and large enough to split for liter appetites. They have a great selection of local beers. Including Creature Comforts from Athens!! The Creature Comforts Tropicalia is served on draft!! Our serve was prompt and friendly!!! I would absolutely come here for dinner or to watch a football game!!!

Yelp
The staff is great. All are very friendly, helpful, and attentive. Wonderful atmosphere inside or on the patio. Lots of TVs, even though there aren't any sports currently. The Big Greasy burger is good, and not extremely messy. It has cheese curds on it, but when they harden they get a little tough to bite through. Several beers to choose from and a good price. Buffalo Shrimp a delicious. Keep in mind that the mild flavor are a little hotter than expected, but still taste great.

Yelp
talor and Courtney are the worlds best bartenders! I am a regular and come here multiple times a week solely because of the super nice, beautiful and attentive bartenders. the food/ drinks are always on point and the service is amazing! 10/10

Yelp
We love hitting up the Roswell square but this spot was the first time my family and I all said, "meh, not that great" after the meal. We went on a Chamber of Commerce Saturday afternoon and wanted to sit outside, this was one of the places with a couple empty seats available and after the meal it was pretty obvious why. There was a mishmash of a menu... the vibe is sports bar meets pub but the menu offerings were just a random smatter of this and that. Tacos, Irish plates, wings, spicy hummus ... a little bit all over the place. Anyways, we actually got the spicy hummus as an appetizer and it was pretty solid -- maybe the highlight of the meal. It tastes best when using the cucumbers to dip, carrots were the worst. The entrees were brisket tacos (at the recommendation of the waiter since he said they smoked the brisket in house) but this brisket tasted like it was smoked in house and then left in a warmer over for a few days. Not good. My fish n chips weren't terrible, the batter was surprisingly light which was nice. The fries for both myself and my son were lackluster. They had the look of the fresh cut fries that you get excited about. They had the soggy taste of bad fries you don't want. Next time we will wait for a seat at a different spot.

Yelp
Just a regular sports bar. My family and I came in here on a Sunday afternoon to grab a bite and watch a football game. Happy to say the experience was fine but the food and restaurant as a whole is not worth raving about. Los Guidry's Thoughts and Recommendation: - If you're looking to catch a game then you'll probably fine a TV screen here showing it. My husband was very appreciative of this because he was able to track multiple players in his fantasy football league. - Quick and friendly service! There were plenty of tables to choose from so we were seated quickly and once we placed our food order the food came out pretty quickly too. - Food is okay. My husband and I both wanted to order the impossible burger but the server said they didn't have it anymore. I ended up ordering the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and it was okay. Just what you'd expect it to be- friend chicken dripping in buffalo sauce. The rest of the table ordered Brisket Tacos, Hand Breaded Tenders, and Brisket Cheesesteak and all said the same- food is okay, nothing extraordinary. Overall, I think Loyal Tavern is nothing more than a sports bar in a good location. I would not go out of my way to eat here. Hope this review helps!

Yelp
The person who took care of us was great. However the food is awful. Chicken tenders taste like they were cooked in old grease. Worst Brussel sprouts in Roswell. It's too bad because it's a great venue.

Yelp
A front of house employee tested positive for Covid and they made him come into work. Then they fired him for coming into work, days after the fact. Considering they don't have any respect for their customers or employees, I'd probably pick another place to eat.

Yelp
We decided to try Loyal Tavern after my daughter raved about the Brisket nachos. The atmosphere was good. It took a long time to get our food. We were patient since we know the food industry has been short staff. The Brisket was alright. The chicken sandwich was cold, our side of Brussels sprouts had good flavor but cold. The drinks were good. Our waitress was nice, she apologized for the issues. Not sure if we will come back.

Yelp
Decided to try this place after walking around and everywhere else had an hour wait or better. Food was good and for the most part, quick. Nothing comes out together, that's irritating when you're in a group of people. But the real disappointments- we had a birthday in our group, we were told "we don't sell JD anymore", "you can't have the gentleman's Jack either"... ok why? No solid reason why.... Then, the icing on the cake for us- the manager wouldn't do anything for my friends birthday. A little disappointing- the waitress was new and did a decent job, but I told her maybe she should find somewhere else to work the vibe of the manager isn't anyone that should be in leadership.

Yelp
Came here to grab an after-dinner drink, bartender has a heavy pour and there's a variety of stations playing sports. Good value and excellent location.

Yelp
Loyal Tavern is amazing! Today, I ate here and I was not disappointed! On Mondays & Tuesday's they have a great deal: Kids Eat Free! Each kids meal is $6, so that's a great deal! Even during a braves game, it is barely crowded. The food is very prompt. The servers are a little weird, but they get the job done. We had a problem with our waiter ringing up the free kids meals but he fixed it. The restrooms are very clean, which was nice. It's a great place to eat a great meal and watch a sports game. I highly recommend Loyal Tavern to anyone in need of quick service, and great food!

Yelp
Loyal Tavern is nothing more than a sports bar. It's a good place to grab a bite and watch a game. They have TVs all over the restaurant. It's pretty easy to get a table here, which is rare in Roswell. The staff is helpful and nice. Seems like they get a lot of big groups to watch games. The food is pretty good. We got the pretzels for an appetizer, which you dip in beer cheese. For dinner, I had the tavern burger and Mac and cheese. The burger is a solid burger, can't go wrong with it. The Mac and cheese tasted like someone spilled salt into the pot and pretended not to notice. A few people ordered it and no one ate it. All in all, it's nothing fancy, but it does the job.

Yelp
Your menu labels items as vegan when they clearly contain dairy. It's concerning when an establishment doesn't know the difference between vegetarian and vegan - considering fixing this.

Yelp
We stopped in yesterday afternoon to grab a couple of beers and some food; walked out 10 minutes later after being seated and then never being approached by a server. The blank stare from the hostess when I returned the menus and suggested that some service would have been nice was just the cherry on top of the experience (or lack thereof, actually). Honestly, the only reason we picked this place out of all of the options in that stretch was curiosity over why their East Cobb location had failed so quickly...and now we know. Just a complete waste of a Canton Street storefront. And for the owners/management - no, you weren't slammed at the time, and, yes, you did have plenty of staff present and "working".

Yelp
The service was excellent and the food was great. Get the steak tips they're killer. Very pleased and will be back.

Yelp
Visiting for a wedding and came here to watch college football! This place is so great and exceeded our expectations. The service was great! Ask for Reed...he was quick, knowledgeable, funny, and right there when you need him. The food is really good and a great place for sports or just to grab some food and enjoy the area!

Yelp
Such a cute little place in Roswell! There are tons of TVs showing every football game you'd ever need. The food was really yummy - we tried the nachos, the boiled peanuts, the onion stack, the wings, and the fries. Everything was satisfying. Our waiter Reid was super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend for an afternoon or night out watching football!
