"There's nothing terribly homey about this spot, which looks more like a nightclub than a restaurant. But trust the regulars who treat Loyo like an extension of their living rooms, gabbing with the casual staff. They specialize in dishes from Côte d’Ivoire and Reunion Island that are imposing in both size and flavor. Sip a house-infused rum cocktail or a homemade bissap-ginger juice as spicy as it is tart while you wait for vegetable achards generously spiked with turmeric or freshly fried cod accras, fluffy pillows of dough that aren't shy with the spice. The house special is ostensibly the ultra-savory coal-roasted chicken buried beneath a mountain of mayo-slick onion-tomato salad, but the charred whole sea bass is the underdog, paired with a fresh tomato-scented salsa that dares to treat onion like a vegetable. Came here after someone recommended it and Loyo did not disappoint. We let the owner decide on what to serve us and it was the fried fish and the grilled chicken. The fish was so tasty that my friend even sucked on the bones. The chicken also had a nice creamy sauce that was very flavorful. Try this place, you won’t be disappointed.

The best restaurant ever! I’ve had the pleasure of being introduced to this restaurant by my friend and it’s been the best thing ever. The owner is so kind, wonderful and personable! Made me feel like I’ve been coming here for the past 10 years. I highly recommend anyone looking for good food to come here. I had the chicken and rice and then came back a second time before leaving Paris to eat here again. The atmosphere and vibes here are just immaculate. The food is so tasty and cooked to perfection.

Delicious. We hoped for a great example of Martinique cuisine...and found it. The entree platter of assortments was awesome. Those samosas, wow. The prawn spring rolls were basically fine dining. Then the signature dish - the poulet. Definitely get it with the plantain rather than rice. The best, soft, sweet and juicy plantain I've perhaps ever had. The chicken was perfectly braised, the creamy sauce I could eat all day. It's a generous serving so two people could share it. We also had the goat curry which was equally delightful. Slow cooked and perfectly spiced, with black beans flavoured with cloves. Highly recommend for the flavours of Martinique, cooked at a high level.

Loved our visit here - wholesome and DELICIOUS food, yummy cocktails, cosy/casual vibe. Would gladly go again, and highly recommend! We had the poulet braisé (riz banane plantin) and the rougail saucisse. Both were 10/10.

Found this place as we wandered around Montmartre and I’m glad we decided to stop and eat. This was some of the best food I had in Paris hands down. I didn’t even take pictures of it because I was too busy savoring every bite. The staff were super friendly and were patient with me as I struggled to order in French. Food came out pretty quick and left nothing to be desired. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Paris!

Fabulous food! We had the sample entree, the 10-spice fish, and the house speciality, grilled chicken with onions and breadfruit fritters - superb! Packed with mouth-watering flavours, attractively presented, by friendly & smiling staff. With a bottle of wine included, total was about €60... Will definitely be back, to check out the rest of the menu!!!

Small charming place with excellent food in large portions, quite cheap. The personell is friendly and helpful, not too good in english though. I ate the only vegetarian course, beans with vegetables, rice, salad and some amazing fried plaintains. This place is worth some effort to visit, if you're not staying nearby!
