What an awesome hidden gem! Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms and eating area. We sat outside on the patio and it was very clean and waitress was very attentive. Great food. They have a huge adult beverage list. Highly recommend!

If you're in Cedar Rapids and not eating at LP Street Food, what are you even doing with your life? Seriously — I stumbled in hungry and left feeling like I just attended a flavor festival where every dish was a headliner. First off, let's talk about Kimmy, the rockstar server who could easily run for mayor of Cedar Rapids and win based on her vibes alone. Friendly? Check. Funny? Check. Basically psychic about what you’ll want to order? Also check. Kimmy didn’t just serve food — she made the whole experience feel like I was being hosted by an old friend who just so happens to know exactly how to pronounce "gyro" correctly. Now... the gyro. Holy Zeus on a Vespa, it was phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned meat, pillowy-soft pita, and a tzatziki sauce so good I considered asking if they sold it by the gallon. Every bite was like a mini Greek vacation, minus the jet lag and questionable souvenir keychains. The vibe inside LP Street Food is a wild, wonderful mashup of cozy and cool — kind of like your coolest friend's basement if they also happened to be a five-star chef. Music bumping, laughter all around, and somehow everyone there looks like they know they're at the best place in town. Bottom line: If you want killer food, a killer atmosphere, and the absolute best server named Kimmy, get yourself to LP Street Food. Order the gyro. Thank me later.

LP - Street Food in Cedar Rapids is a gem! Kicked things off with their 2-for-1 draft beers, which paired perfectly with the delicious poutine—generous portion and full of flavor, making it an ideal appetizer. For the main course, we got the Euro and pastrami sandwich, both fantastic, especially alongside the zesty cilantro coleslaw. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. Highly recommend this spot for great food and vibes!

Google
Had an absolutely amazing time here! The food was delicious! (We ordered the burgers.) The drinks were lovely. (Their names are so funny and the cocktails are so inventive!) But most of all…. Amazing service. They are all so good at their jobs! A certain table was rowdy and disruptive. They were making many of us uncomfortable and using incredibly poor language (even directly to their waiter). It was appreciated that, on top of being lovely to all of us and having incredibly fast and attentive service, they also very calmly and kindly took care of the situation these bad patrons caused. Thanks for a great night, LP!

Google
Holy buckets! We stopped in on our way through CR, convenient location not out of the way, and the whole experience was awesome. Loved the tater tots! Quality food. Gyro was on point. We didn’t use it- but they have nice outside seating where dogs are welcome. We’ll definitely stop in again on our way back through town. Thanks!

Google
Legitimately our favorite place in town. If you want any kind of cocktail, this is the place to go. Great collection of bottles and all the bartenders are knowledgeable and good at making anything you ask, or even brainstorming up something you have half an idea for. Or if you're a little less experimental, the featured and rotating cocktail menus are always good, as are the taps. The food is all great as well, our favorites are the cheese curds (best in town), the pot stickers with the soy ginger sauce, and the pretzel. The ice cream hut is also tasty when it's open in the summer.

Yelp
I was in CR visiting family and decided to catch up with a friend at LP street food. It was suggested by her cool, younger sister so we already knew it was going to be good but I really was shocked by how much I liked it. The ambiance is perfect - still gives the old dive bar feel while also maintaining a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that could be all ages appropriate. I don't really drink alcohol anymore but I miss the fun of having a flirty lil drink to sip on, luckily they had THC seltzers which you can get mixed with syrups and juice to still feel in the mix and catch a different little buzz. My friend and I only ordered shareable plates but the white bean hummus was honestly great and the offer to bring more naan was very welcome. Service was fantastic - felt a bit bad taking up a cocktail table just chatting away for a few hours but our server was attentive, fun, and had great suggestions. The price point was also great, although I might be a little biased from living in a bigger city. Overall, definitely one of my new faves when visiting family and can't wait to go back :)

Yelp
The service the minute I walked in was great. I chose to sit at the bar to have a meal and some pints. They had the bar decorated in Halloween theme which was great. The interior itself looked very much like I would expect from a pub. They even had a jukebox. Kudos to the bartender, Lauren for giving great suggestions on what craft beers to try and treating me like a friend. Now for the food. The poutine was a different take from what I have had before, however it was delicious and as you can see a meal in itself. The cajun pasta was amazing. Just the right amount of seasoning to kick it up a notch on the flavor. As for the pints. I tried a few along with a shot of Teeling Irish Whiskey which was rather smooth and a tad lighter than my usual, Jameson's. The craft beers were spot on. Started with a Red Amber Ale, from Reunion Brewing followed by a House Ale, which had a slight hint of apple, or my taste buds were being strange. Tasty though. Next up was a Pilsner from Odell Brewing, followed by a Helles Lager, Gable, from Singlespeed Brewing. The Ayringer Oktoberfest was splendid and rounded out my evening. LP Streetfood was a recommendation from my host and a great one at that. The staff as mentioned, treated me as a friend which speaks well for the establishment. Additional recognition to Reed, Jenn, Kelsey and Sabrina making the visit to LP Streetfood a memorable one

Yelp
On our way back from Wisconsin and we we're hungry so a friend picked this place out. We were seated immediately and it wasn't super busy. Was excited to try one of their cocktails but didn't like an ingredient and was told they were pre-made so there was nothing that could be done, no problem. I got a water while I looked at their menu. Their menu is definitely interesting and they have their own unique spin on "simple" items. I am a picky eater so I didn't find anything that I liked. I ordered tots, they were crunchy but felt like they needed some sort of seasoning so I just added some pepper. A few minutes after I started eating my tots I decided I wanted a soft drink so I ordered a Pepsi. At the same time a friend ordered his crown and sprite. My friends drink was brought out, and I waited...and waited...and waited... and eventually I was done with my food and we were paying to leave, the waitress finally says "oh I'm sorry I forgot your drink." I would've appreciated my drink to go or something to try and remedy the situation, but nonetheless nothing was done. Overall it was okay & friends liked their food.

Yelp
Don't overthink it -- just go to this place! This place is a perfect execution of a place like this. Super-friendly service, super-relaxed atmosphere, super-delicious non-pretentious food, and tasty drinks. Great indoor and outdoor spaces. I had the pork belly tacos and LP tots. Tremendous! Friends has the cheesesteak and pork belly grilled cheese. Both tremendous. The Campfire Cigar cocktail is a bourbon + scotch + bitters treat. REALLY good. You should go to this place.

Yelp
Great service, tasty food! Very different flavors! The menu definitely has an Asian influence!

Always solid. These guys have put their mark on Cedar Rapids and we support them in all their outlets as they keep things interesting

Yelp
Amazing cocktail menu with very original ingredients. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. Ambiance was fun, casual and unique.

Yelp
A unique little place under the interstate. Great beverages, cocktails and craft beer. They have a. Wonderful patio where you can bring ypur dog. The food is an eclectic variety.. with something for everyone including a fairly decent vegan section.. I'm hooked on their poutine.. made with tater tots and Philly roast beef. It's the bomb. A must try if in the area.

Yelp
Great little hidden gem. Loved the food options and the variety of drinks. Had a group of 6 and we all loved it

Yelp
Wonderful place to enjoy sitting around a fire, drinking a cocktail and snacking on some tots! My kids love playing with the huge connect four game too!

Yelp
Such a great place for lunch and dinner. We had the nicest gal serving us. In our group we tried the hamburger (excellent), walking taco (great), Asian salad (primo), and the footlong corn dog (it was truly a foot long). The food was delicious and well priced.

Yelp
This place was recommended from a local friend of mine. For some reason I have heard multiple times that gyro meat is surprisingly good in IOWA? This place had a very cool menu and cool items. They had door long corn dogs and regular hotdogs. Their outdoor seating was really nice and the food was great as well. We all ordered different things on the menu. I ended up ordering a salad with gyro meat and the rumors were true. It was definitely the best gyro meat I have had in the US. I will definitely recommend and come back as the service was on point and the staff was great!!
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, great price point, and great service from Abbey. The restaraunt is very laid back and fun with music playing. Happy hour on a Saturday was a nice surprise as well. The gyro really hit the spot. Would definitely come back here again! Also, they do get busy. We got the last table available, walking in at 4:50 on a Saturday night.

Yelp
Mental note: visit LP Street Food each time I visit Cedar Rapids!! I sat at the bar, and was appropriately and warmly welcomed by the bartender who assured me it was fine to order a walking taco (long story involving a frito shortage in Omaha had left me a bit skittish). It was lunch so I drank water, which was refilled attentively, while I swooned over the drink list. I was impressed by a number of things: Food. It was quality, and plated and served with love. I was impressed by the adorable halved heirloom cherry tomatoes on my walking taco - never before and never again will I see this, and in the moment I received this act of food preparation care as a true gift. In addition, the menu has a section clearly labeled vegetarian and vegan to make it easy for people to find these options. Gluten-free items are also clearly marked. Beverage: clearly these folks care about beverages. In addition to a long list of well-described cocktails, these people take the time to mark a large number of them as available alcohol-free. I love that it's no big deal and assumed that complex cocktails can be alcohol free. Space: it's a happy space, I could hear myself speak and think, the bathrooms were clean and the signage was clear. It is a long drive from Omaha, but I'll be back.

Yelp
The pretzels were good the rest of the food, meh. Only giving a 4 because of location. Too much dressing, Ramen made tummy hurt. I'm only giving it a 4 because of the city its in a more rural area and there aren't many options.... Otherwise, I would really put it at a 3z

Yelp
Firstly, although they treated us very poorly on first encounter, I gave this place 2 chances because I enjoyed the spicy margarita & short rib tacos I got TO GO because I couldn't stand to be there any longer. it was NYE & the bartender made it clear he wasn't happy to be working on this day. Just so rude didn't even greet us, and made smart snarky comments. Second visit-"maybe it'll be different bartenders". I was ready for another spicy margarita. I was uneasy it was the same 2 bartenders since they were unappetizing last visit. Same treatment. No greeting of any kind when you take a seat. One bartender was unaware of the mezcal inventory and mentioned being out of the one I asked for. The other bartender informed him, yes we do have that mezcal... he then proceeded to pour the one I didn't ask for and lie straight to my face. That move may have worked on someone else without the bartending experience I have. I could see the bottle from where I was sitting. I won't just resort to discrimination based on race but it's difficult not to when you're the only person of color in the establishment and you observe others being treated appropriately. Pretty Xmas decorations. Close to the house. Truly unfortunate but reminded me of the civil rights movement.

Yelp
LPSF is a fun spot! It's been packed both times I've gone, so be warned the parking lot is extremely small. The food menu is limited, but there's a little something to suit most dietary needs. My go-to is the vegetarian grilled cheese because I looove brie. I find the side options to be lacking. The drinks are tasty though. It's home to another one of my fave bartenders in town :) They have a patio that looks pretty cute. I understand Scoops is their sister business with ice cream and boozy shakes. Looking forward to coming back and sitting outside sometime.

Yelp
Just ate at LP Street Foods, and it was fantastic! We were met at the door by a very friendly young lady who showed us to our table. I had the pineapple kabobs. The meat was cooked just the way I wanted, Rare, and it melted in my mouth it was so tender. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, but not pushy. The place was decorated with some really unique items and they were clean. I highly recommend LP Street Foods.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years. It's has a great happy hour and fun vibe! LP is a great spot for all ages, including doggos in the summer!

Yelp
Stopping in town for a weekend. Came here for happy hour. BOGO was awesome. Added a pretzel & hummus platter which both were better delicious - tons of food. Then found out about the secret menu & loved the Big Mac style burger. Food, drinks, & vibe was all around great.

Yelp
I have been drooling over LP Street Food IG posts for years. Yes, years. Their IG page is beautiful and their menu is always featuring something new. I was in town running errands and decided to FINALLY pop in for lunch on a Friday. It was packed-- definitely a local favorite. There's plenty of parking, a really BA patio with tons of seating options and just a cool vibe. The menu is small with a little bit of everything. Like, seriously. EVERYTHING. Tacos, hot dogs, gyros, corndogs, sandwiches... there are a plethora vegan and vegetarian options, too. I had the OG Street Tacos and while they were tasty they weren't anything to write home about. The tots are the real star of the menu, IMO. I can't wait for patio season-- I'll without a doubt be back to enjoy a pint or two with some poutine tots. If you find yourself in CR, stop in LP Street Food.

Yelp
Nice ambiance. Fantastic staff. Fun vibe!!! TVs available to watch some sports and awesome patio outside.

Yelp
Great happy hour place offering 2 for 1 on a variety of drinks. Enjoyed their variety of foods.

Yelp
Ate here with a friend to celebrate his birthday. Menu is unique with a lot of interesting dishes. Started with the pretzel and the pizza puff for appetizers. I had the pork belly street tacos which were incredibly tasty. Finished off with the donut stick which is deep fried cinnamon roll dough with an orange glaze and powdered sugar dusting. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. The indoor part has a nice atmosphere, and I can only imagine the party on the patio when the temps warm up and the summer nights arrive. The only thing that was disappointing was that they had advertised a burger special all day on Facebook, but when someone at the table ordered it, we were informed that they were already out and it was only 6 p.m. Other than that, the experience was good, and I would go back again to try some of the other menu items.

Yelp
Amazing cocktails and really good food! The place is a little small and hard to find, but worth it to come. The service was great, and we came at a slow hour. Overall a really best experience for a cocktail lover

Yelp
Atmosphere in this place is amazing you can sit inside or outside(weather permitting). My son-in-law is vegetarian so we're always on the quest for good vegetarian food this place caught our eye. The appetizers were awesome.
google avatar

Yelp
The service was great! Thank you Jenn! We had the pork belly Brie grilled cheese, the pineapple beef skewers, and banana cake. All were unique flavors and very good. Check out the adult beverage menu. Some really interesting choices.

Yelp
Can't wait to go back in the summer time and go to the outdoor seating area. Food is really good and they have a great selection to choose from. Friendly staff and good service. Prices aren't expensive either.

Yelp
I went to LP Street Food with my daughter on their famous Oysters Thursday. Everything we ordered was delicious. It took awhile to get our food but it was worth it. The staff working was very knowledgeable about their menu and kind. I liked both the indoor and outdoor decor they had...very unique and cool. Not much parking options especially when they're busy. In any case, I plan to return to LP Street Food in the future for sure. Overall, good experience!

Yelp
This was my first visit to this place. I had no idea it existed. An intern suggested it to us and I'm glad she did. We parked under the I380 overpass and walked over. There was better parking in front available but I was following directions. The inside has a nice look to it with a reclaimed wood theme including lots of roosters. I had the LPSF Gyro which was very tastey and filling. I had it with slaw on the side which I really enjoyed. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive. We'll be going back.

Yelp
My wife had a late lunch with her sister here recently and when it came time to pick a place to have my birthday dinner, my wife recommended LP Street Food. So I decided to give it a try. It's location is extremely convenient in the heart of Cedar Rapids just off the interstate. During peak hours parking could be an issue in there smaller sized parking lot. A common problem in the downtown area. But there is plenty of street parking if your willing to walk a very short distance. The menu has some delicious sounding options including some vegetarian items. Most everything is "street food" which means most items do not need eating utensils. Street food is known for being fast, portable, and delicious. I decided to have the Gyros Sandwich. It was flavorful and filling. I'm used to having the tzatziki sauce that usually accompanies a gyros sandwich. The LP version I had did not come with it and while you could tell all the ingredients were delicious and fresh, I was left desiring the classic sauce. My side, was a churros rice item. It was flavorless but seemed either a tad undercooked or slightly dried out. My hard ciders were cold, delicious, and refreshing. The atmosphere is comfortable and upbeat. I felt comfortable and they did a great job of being Covid-19 aware and had safety measures in place. I will definitely return. Probably try a few other dishes to see if this will be a long term favorite.

Yelp
Go to LP's and enjoy the back patio. Service on the back patio was no less than amazing! At some places, outside seating is an after thought. Not at Lp's! The server was so kind as to bring my dogs a bowl of water. The menu is limited on the back patio but still so many delicious choices, it was difficult to make a decision. Boozy floats and ice cream are perfect sweet additions. My food came so quickly, my head spun a bit. Amazing rum selection. They had a sugar cane high proof that brought me back to Tahiti. I enjoyed the Naanton salad and love the simple innovation here. Fried bits of naan top a huge bowl of greens with gyro meat and all the fixings. A different flavor and texture in every bite. I tried not to order the Lp's tots but the gravy and Queso took hold so I ordered anyway. Not a mistake. Go for the saucy, cheesy gold at the bottom! The cilantro on top brightened the whole dish. Love the fact I could get a topped and loaded tot as a side! I was only going to enjoy a couple tots. Sadly, I could not stop and only eight ... now six remain. I did share a couple with the dog monsters. I might go nap in the car till I'm hungry again.

Yelp
Good happy hour, amazing street food. One of my favorite restaurants in Cedar Rapids. Fun outdoor games & fire pits. Great music. Also has an ice cream bar which is amazing. Love that they're pet friendly too

Yelp
Just here for a drink or two before our reservations at a different restaurant we're ready and my absolutely fell in love with what our bartender was doing! Jamie rocked the house!!!! My buddy had asked her for some spicy tequila drink and she came back with something so outrageous that it should be illegal. I thought that that was the end of the "awesomeness" that she could bring but I was wrong. I then just asked her to make me some smoky bourbon drink and she came out and lit my drink on fire, right in front of my face and then made me a bourbon drink that has no comparison! If you are ever in the Cedar Rapids area and want to try a good cocktail, first off... Ask if Jamie is working the bar, and if she is, ask her to make you a cocktail and tell her what you like. She will knock that thing out of the park like Barry Bonds on steroids!!! I can't wait to go back and just have another one of her delicious creations!!! Btw, The guy sitting next to me had ordered their Korean whatever special and could not stop raving about it... So I know that the food is good, not to mention the fact that I've eaten here before and has always been fantastic.

Yelp
Good food first time would go back again. Unique and flavorful. Hopeful employees. Pricing is about right

Yelp
This place is the bomb!! The food was very tasty, great flavors! I had the beef pineapple skewers. It had the tiniest bit of kick just the perfect amount (I don't do spicy) and the flavors were incredible. My husband had the specials so which was a smash burger and it was pretty yummy too. It's not a quiet place lol great atmosphere tho! The service was top notch! Ambrosia was incredibly helpful authentic and friendly. Made sure we were well taken care of without bugging us. Thank you Ambrosia!

Yelp
I really really really really wanted to love this place. I really did. Man, did I want to love this place. Wow, I was so disappointed. The outdoor seating is wonderful. However, as with most outdoor patios you are often ignored by your server. It probably took us 10-15 minutes before anyone came to ask if we needed anything, after sitting down. Now, let me also say that I usually do not complain about the price of things. I understand that when you go out to eat you will pay money for it. That is the whole concept of capitalism. You pay money for goods and services. It is that easy. Having said that, the prices here are ridiculous. This is not Chicago. This is not New York. This is Cedar Rapids...IOWA. I am not expecting to pay $6 for a can of beer. Let alone $50 for a casual dinner of tacos and grilled cheese, eaten on a sofa, where tater tots appear to be the staple of the sides and apps. Anyway, we both ordered a beer and proceeded to figure out what we were going to get for an appetizer and then our dinner. Oh my god! They have poutine!! I LOVE poutine!!! Darn it...more disappointment. Well, it's a cereal bowl of $9 poutine with maybe 1.5 oz of pork, a layer of crispy tater tots, and the rest of it was very very soggy tots with no more pork. Having had poutine in several different locations in Canada, I can tell you that this was the worst I have ever had. It was essentially a bowl full of tater tots...soggy tater tots. Ok. Perhaps the main course will salvage the dinner. How can you possibly go wrong with pork grilled cheese? It's as if they read my mind and said, "challenge accepted." $11 Pork Grilled cheese with guess what...yet more tater tots, they buy in bulk. Once again, the amount of pork on this grill cheese was very minimal. I hope you like bread and jelly because that is really all this grill cheese is. By the way, that dusting of Parmesan on the tater tot's, cost an additional $1.50. To recap, this rather small plate of food was almost $14. Will we be back? I honestly can't say we will. There are so many other places in Cedar Rapids with patios that have much much better prices on beer and food.

Yelp
Wow fantastic belly pork Ramen . We were visiting from Singapore and I must say the dish was fantastic. My mum had the grilled cheese pork belly with Brie and raspberry jam. Kudos to the chef and well executed

Yelp

Yelp
Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Very clean and tables were spread apart. They even had hand sanitizer at the table.

Yelp
I LOVE LP street food! many interesting/different food choices on the menu, the LP gyro and the pork belly tacos were both great options. so fresh and tasty. service was good. front patio was a nice place to relax. YOU must go! will be going back.

Brian B.

Yelp
Unique menu. Food is always good to great. Service is excellent. The environment is good inside. Plus, there are outdoor options on the porch or patio. The only downsides: I-35 noise outside, creosote or pentachlorophenol smell inside from table tops & the annoying credit card surchage.

Yelp
I had the best ice cream/sorbet I have ever had!!! The Mango is the bombdiggety. I highly recommend it. I absolutely love the outside patio. I just love this place!!!

Yelp
LP is one of our favorites places to eat and it has such a cool vibe to it! Check the chalk board for all the specials for that day. We found it about 3 years ago and have never had a bad meal or bad service. We love sitting on the porch in the Spring, Summer or Fall. The back patio is huge with fire pits and has a smaller menu from the main menu that you can get inside the restaurant. In the winter they have Igloo's on the big patio with heaters and lots of lights that are sooo cool!!! In the warmer months the patio also has an ice cream shack that you can get ice cream from. They have Happy Hour every day of the week from 3 to 6 with BOGO beers, wines and well drinks. During happy hour you can get a half of a footlong hotdog on a poppy seed bun for $4.50, taco & pretzel combo one street taco and one pretzel with cheese sauce $5, single pizza puff pastry filled with beef and sauce, topped with cotija cheese and fresh herbs $4. They also have a late night Happy Hour with a special food menu and drinks. CHECK THEM OUT!

Yelp
New favorite place!!!! I'll return for the drinks alone!!! Great mixed drinks with super catchy names like "So What Happened Was", "Do My Thang" and "Whoo Gurl" along with "His Thai" and "Her Thai" that sound fun but taste amazing! My favorite thus far is the Aviation Gin and Grand Marnier based "Gravel Travel". The food refused to take a back seat. The menu has awesome bar favorites (actually more akin to fair food) such as foot long corn dogs, chili cheese dogs and grilled cheese sandwiches (with a twist of course) as well as globally inspired foods. You can't go wrong with the Asian inspired pork shank appetizer...(worth every penny of the price people!), and I would definitely order the Gyro Salad with Naanton (naan wantons) every day of my life if I could!!! The service is exceptional (thanks Niki for taking fabulous care of us!) and the ambiance is a breath of fresh air. All I have left to say is...Run, don't walk people!
