LPV Ristorante & Bistrot

"Following the hotel’s rebranding, this restaurant has also recently changed name and chef and now offers bistro-style dishes at lunchtime and more elaborate, refined cuisine in the evening. Choose from three tasting menus: Acqua (an equal balance of fish and seafood); Terra (meat dishes) and Aria (vegetarian options)." - Michelin Inspector

Myself and my wife stayed at the hotel for a weekend and had the pleasure to dine at what I believe to be the best restaurant on the island. We started our evening with 2 cocktails which were twist on the classics, orchid daquiri and ginger sour. And second set of cocktails were recommended by the staff to try their aperol spritz and negeoni spritz with another twist which was just brilliant. Again, from the entire island the best cocktails handsdown. However expect to pay €25 per cocktail. The dinner started off with red prawn tartar with sweet flavours from the prawn and apples. Another starter was slow cooked port belly with sweet leek sauce and artichoke mash. We skipped the pasta dish as we tried this plenty of times on the island. Instead opted for pumpkin risotto, pumpkin chunks with demi glaze sauce and grilled quail. And turbot stuffed with its fatty belly meat and served with roasted sweet potatoes. The desserts just didn't stop. First we were sent a red dessert wine on the house, which again we didn't expect but highly appreciated. First round of desserts started with a soft cookie topped with fresh cream, custard and berries, no bigger than half the size of your index finger. Second came another small plate of chocolate, peach jelly and one another I cannot remember. And finally they brought out our desserts that we ordered, which was a bread and butter pudding accompanied by vanilla gelato and rum cream. And plate that resembles mushrooms in a field, the base of the mushroom was meringue with a soft cookie like cake filled with white chocolate and the red on top was a tangy berry flavour. The green on the plate was matcha cake crumbles with a few berries and raspberry jam. This is an experience well above other restaurants such as impronta which felt like a complete waste of money. I believe this restaurant doesn't get quite the attention as it's attached to the hotel, from 25-30 tables that were present only 3 were filled that night but this will change I'm sure. The bill will be close to €500 and unlike many other reviews here, the service and the food here do match that.

Second night in Venice, on vacation from the US. The location was perfect , food was excellent but most important was the service. Marco the manager and John the waiter were amazing, very accommodating and respectful. The rib eye steak was delicious and the spaghetti was perfectly cooked with a perfect amount of spice. Highly recommend !

A quite underrated restaurant with superb service, excellent food (super fresh seafood), and classy atmosphere. Amazing moscato and I would highly recommend their fish risotto - extremely delicious. The food was fairly priced, restaurant was very clean and everyone there was friendly. Highly recommend and would definitely visit again during my next visit to Venice.

Great hotel restaurant with impeccable service, delicious food and nicely sized portions. We had a great experience here although restaurant felt a little empty at the time we were there. Very high quality food, charming staff and fairly priced and well put together wine list.

Amazing birthday dinner: it was a surprise for my husbands 40th bday, incredible food and even better service! Thanks to our Australian friend John who made it an unforgettable night. Do not miss the shrimp tartare, spicy pancetta or veal&truffle homemade spaghetti! We will definitely repeat :)

It's a lovely ambience although restaurant is kind of based at the reception of the hotel. The menu is very limiting and we had a hard time chosing the dish. Waiters are very kind and attentive. Prices are exaggerated. Ordered orata for 39€ per plate - didn't even recieve the full fish. It was of a good quality though, tasty. Dessert choices were upsetting, we left without any. Pompous place!

Not at all as expected. Went there after reading about it in the Michelin guide. Name is Ristorante de Leoni appearantly, same adress. So I guess the bistrot do leoni has had some changes since the reviews. We were to persons expecting to have a nice dinner. Took more than 30mins to get the food, atleast 15minutes to get the waiters attention (after asking to order once and several hints that we’re ready). Food was presented in a very unimpressive way and the flavors were very basic. 49euro for two courses per person. Not a place I recommend, neither for a good culinary experience nor good value for the money.
