I had dinner at Lua Saigon, which is well-known for having a Japanese sommelier on site. This was my second visit.
I really enjoyed the menu here because many of the dishes are designed to pair well with wine. Depending on the season, they bring in rare wines from around the world. In addition to bottles, they also offer a wide selection of wines by the glass, and the sommelier recommends the best pairing for each dish. All the staff are kind and very professional.
The ceviche, cheese plate from Maison Béjo, and octopus ajillo were all excellent dishes to enjoy with wine. On my previous visit, I had the asparagus risotto (highly recommended!), but this time I chose the Pork Ragu Sauce Pappardelle as my main course. The pasta was absolutely delicious as well.
Finally, I strongly recommend the Warm Madeleine for dessert. Topped with vanilla cream and banana-cardamom sauce, it was simply outstanding. Don’t miss it when you visit!
