I had dinner at Lua Saigon, which is well-known for having a Japanese sommelier on site. This was my second visit. I really enjoyed the menu here because many of the dishes are designed to pair well with wine. Depending on the season, they bring in rare wines from around the world. In addition to bottles, they also offer a wide selection of wines by the glass, and the sommelier recommends the best pairing for each dish. All the staff are kind and very professional. The ceviche, cheese plate from Maison Béjo, and octopus ajillo were all excellent dishes to enjoy with wine. On my previous visit, I had the asparagus risotto (highly recommended!), but this time I chose the Pork Ragu Sauce Pappardelle as my main course. The pasta was absolutely delicious as well. Finally, I strongly recommend the Warm Madeleine for dessert. Topped with vanilla cream and banana-cardamom sauce, it was simply outstanding. Don’t miss it when you visit!

Lua Saigon offers a refined dining experience that blends elegance with warmth. The restaurant features an impressive selection of wines, thoughtfully curated to complement a variety of dishes. The staff are friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes every guest feel well cared for. While the prices are on the higher side, the overall quality of the food, service, and ambiance justifies the cost for those seeking a casual night out.

im genuinely in love with this place hehe such a nice spot to unwind over good food and wine. the sommelier really knows their stuff and can give solid recommendations based on your palate and what you’re eating, which I really appreciate and a nice touch if you’re into wine as for the food i’ve tried quite a few dishes and while most have been good, my personal favorites are the guava salad, the madeleines, brioche with jam, and the charcuterie platter.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere. This is a locally sourced pork focused restaurant which has plenty of amazing food items on the menu. The homemade pate to the spicy octopus dish are all hits for me. There is an extensive wine list including some Chinese wines I have never heard of before! The staff here are super knowledgeable and very attentive. There is a beautiful indoor/outdoor vibe. It’s nice to be able to sit looking out at the street while enjoying a world class meal. Ps. The tomato tart is unmissable!

Chill & cozy restaurant with seriously good pate & cold cuts! Love their brioche with pate and pineapple jam. The meatball and octopus were meh. Desserts - madeleine and flan are to die for. Service was attentive as well.

Lua Saigon has an extensive wine list and the sommelier is able to recommend wines according to your palate. The food they serve is adequately portioned and is a perfect accompaniment to the wine. The freshly baked Madeline was the star of the night. They were warm and fluffy and went along well with the tartness of the banana cardamom jam.
