Every Saturday in season, local growers, bakers, and makers gather in the Cultural District. Supported by arts partners and food-access programs, it’s a vibrant way to meet producers and taste the High Plains’ bounty.

Loved the veggies that I purchased from Block 20 there ( fresh out of the ground and grown local

Friendly vendors, often in short supply. The market would greatly benefit from an increase in the number of booths available each week. There are a handful of farmer's selling produce, but only a select few understand competitive market pricing. Very few people are will to pay 2-3x more for local non-certified produce when compared to the organic selection at Costco and Sprouts. That said, there are a few farmers offering competitive products at fair prices, and we do purchase from them. Judie Briggs from Briggs Homegrown Farm offers great seasonal produce and small seedling plants at great prices. There are a few other vendors selling premade soaps, pet treats, etc. Overall, a very enjoyable little market that well continue trying to support.

The great experience especially for local native Lubbockites who may be are accustomed to shopping at the grocery store. Prices vary, from vendor to vendor and since vendors change going each time to see who's regular and see who's new is totally worth the trip. From dog treats to fresh produce to baked goods to food vendors, it's a great walk through early morning and you can't help but pick up one or two items.

Great place to spend a Saturday morning. Friendly people and a nice selection of fresh fruit and veggies. Arts and crafts food trucks, family and pet friendly. I'm new to Lubbock and have found this a great place to pick the brains of locals for things to see and do here.

Yelp
It always amazes me how many Lubbock locals have never been to the Lubbock Downtown Farmer's Market. It truly is a cultural treasure here in West Texas. It's a great experieince for the whole family, dogs included. There is always a great variety of local veggies, organic meat, coffee, handcrafted treasures, sweet treats, and an assortment of food trucks. The market is connected to the Tornado Gallery which gives it its cool vibes. There is even a free yoga class in a park near by that makes for the perfect combination of Saturday morning activities; you can't get more granola than yoga and veggies. Don't forget to bring your homemade wicker basket. I just wish it was open year round with winter and spring produce. If you haven't been, you should definitely go check it out!

Yelp
If you think Lubbock isn't doing cool things you haven't been to the Farmer's Market downtown. The staff have been at it for over 5 years and it keeps getting better and better. Expect to find locally produced squash, zucchini, melons, tomatoes, lavender, fresh roasted coffee, cheese, bread, pastries, honey, crafts, and food trucks. Get there between 9-10am for the best experience. The market is 9-1pm but vendors will sell out quick. Remember that local produce is seasonal so the available items correspond to the harvest and local climate. Don't expect oranges, avocados, limes, or other tropical items. ;)

Yelp
Absolutely one of my favorite markets. Lubbock is a really friendly city and it shows in their market! Everyone brings their fur babies and babies. It's fun people watching --- dogs suntanning on the asphalt...toddlers sporting their babiators. They have local honey, lavender, eggs, steaks...check, check, and check. Too bad I came too early! The food trucks were not completely set up yet for me to try.

Yelp
Went to Nashville a few years ago and they had a farmer's market and it was amazing. LBK now has one and it is good. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy going but it isn't the same. I would prefer to have more vendors in the market.
