"Lucatelli’s is known for its generous pizza selection and savory starters, such as the ricotta rip and dip and garlic knots, but don’t sleep on the sliced rib eye cheesesteak at this Doylestown pizzeria where you can top it with your favorite cheese — try the Whiz for the ultimate steak sandwich. Chicken cheesesteak lovers will appreciate the vodka sauce-topped sandwich featuring chopped chicken topped with Cooper sharp and nestled in a seeded roll." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Great food. Upbeat ambience. CLEANest pizza place ever. We had chicken cheese steak with added roasted peppers; MVP square. Pizza crust crispy on bottom, chewy rest. Was a 50 minute drive to try Lucatelli. Worth it. We will be back.

Google
I was so hype about trying these cheesesteaks since iv heard lots of good things. I was sadly disappointed. Its not at all what I want wen im craving an authentic cheesesteak. Im born and raised in Pennsylvania and know what an authentic cheesesteak is. This in my opinion is not. Ill give them another try because their pizza looks amazing. I might have an un popular opinion but all opinions are valid wen it comes to food reviews! Portions are fair though.

We traveled from over an hour away because someone said on TikTok that they had the best cheesesteak. I was not disappointed!! It was easy to order, the staff was friendly. I got a cheesesteak and cheese fries, delicious!!!! No weird pieces of meat, good level of cheese, wonderful seeded roll. Fries were perfectly crisp and cheese did not taste like the gross canned cheese. My daughter and boyfriend enjoyed their pizza too! We will for sure be back! Oh and a nice clean environment and decor really sets them apart.

Stopped in to grab a slice of pizza for lunch. Ordered a cheesesteak slice and a pepperoni /burrata Sicilian slice. I was worried that reheating the slice of cheesesteak pizza would make the steak dried out. Taking a bite out of the cheesesteak slice, I was happy to find out that the meat didn’t crisp up too much in the pizza oven. The overall aesthetic of the shop is really nice. The chairs at the tables are super comfortable. My only thought would be if I had to take my mom in with a wheelchair, It would be a two step process. Go in main door to look at slices and then back out and through a second door (in the store front) to access the bathroom and additional seating on the split level side (two steps to get up from cash register/slice display counter)

Google
Staff was very friendly. Definitely try the meatball sliders on the garlic knots. Great variety of pizza slices available to try lots of different kinds. Cheesesteak also very delicious.

Lucatelli’s put on an absolute clinic last night just like the Eagles against the Chiefs. Even with 100+ people waiting right before kick off, they made it happen nearly flawless. Would highly recommend anyone stopping by for their amazing quality food. The owner Dave is an absolute legend. Would recommend Lucatelli’s Pizza and Steaks to anyone in the area. #Lucatellis

Yelp
Best pizza and cheesesteaks in the greater Philadelphia area. This is a true Doylestown treasure Dave and Joey and their staff doing an amazing job always super nice and accommodating. Everything on their menu is amazing and their catering services are great as well if you're an eggplant fan. You must try that as well

Amy W.

Yelp
We came for the Red Hotober and the boardwalk slice. Both were worth the drive! The vodka sauce really makes the sandwich plus the great seeded roll. I would eat this at the ballpark or drive to Doylestown for this any time of year! Boardwalk slice perfectly cooked thin crust and great tomato on top!

Yelp
With family in town for the holiday, we decided to do a fun pizza tasting of six different pizzas and rate each one based on appearance, crust, sauce, and cheese to see which was the favorite. I was excited to order from Lucatellis because I had heard great things, and everything looked delicious. I ordered the Rip and Dip as an appetizer, a plain pie, and the honey hot pepperoni. When I ordered online, it said the food would be ready in 40 minutes, but it was ready in just 15. I was able to run in and out, which was convenient. The recently renovated restaurant looked beautiful, and they were quite busy. When I selected the pizzas for our tasting (the two from Lucatellis, a local tomato pie, one from a chain, one from a convenience store, and one frozen), I thought for sure their pizza would be ranked as the best. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I regret not taking a photo until after we had cut the pizza, but you can still see it was overcooked. The center of the crust was mushy, and the cheese was rubbery and didn't melt well. Even my teenage nephews only took a few bites to complete their rankings and had no interest in eating the rest. Surprisingly, the frozen pizza won by a landslide. It's possible this was a one-off, but I'm unlikely to return.

Yelp
Cost! $18 is out of control for a cheesesteak that's not even 12" long. The food takes too long to get and is overrated.

Jimmy K.

Yelp
Good cheesesteak. They got the formula down for a great modern sandwich. Ribeye, Cooper Sharp cheese, fried onions, seeded roll. My only gripe was that the meat could have been seasoned better and the cheese could have been mixed in better. Other than that, its nearly there to be one of the greats. I've heard great things about their other offerings so definitely can't wait to stop by again soon. Interior is super clean as it seems they're fairly new. Hopefully they can only get better from here.

Morgan C.

Yelp
Great pizza! We have ordered delivery via UberEats twice now since moving to Buckingham and Lucatelli's does not disappoint. The first time we ordered Drunken Grandma which was more of a Detroit-style pizza with square foccacia crust. The sauce was delicious. The second time we went with the White Truffle Mushroom and it was great. My only negative is that I wish they offered different pizza sizes as the only size available is large and they are very expensive, so we aren't able to order more than one kind at a time. But we will definitely continue to try different items on the menu!

Yelp
Finally got the chance to check this place out. Traveled over 2 hours on our way home from a weekend in the Philly area. Got my hands on the latest craze offered for the month of October which is the red hot-tober chicken cutlet sandwich. Also can't forget we had to get some cheesesteaks to bring back home too ! Super cool place, very tasty food. My wife and I split both the chicken cutlet and cheesesteaks, and they were both fantastic! Lucatelli's really knows how to throw it down and are top tier when it comes to cheesesteaks. Perfectly executed from the shaved ribeye , cooper sharp and fried onions all the way down to the seeded roll is the only way to get it! Small pizza shop , but very clean , friendly staff. Very fast service even when you request takeout. I wanted to try to pizza, which they offer plenty of choices , but that'll have to wait till next time we're in town. The red hot-tober was a damn good choice as well. They only offer this one for October , so get it while you can ! Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced soppressata, vodka sauce along with a drizzle of hot honey tucked into a seeded roll. It was a killer driving home with the delicious smell but worth the wait to get back and enjoy it!

Yelp
09.28.24 Came for the Phillies Red Hot-tober sandwich which we seen advertised a few days prior watching the Philadelphia Phillies on television by Taryn Hatcher. About a hour and a half drive from Lititz, Pa. But it was so worth it! Fast service, good service. Extensive menu of all types of meals, sandwiches, pizza and appetizers. Prices were decent. Nicely decorated inside but not over the top like a lot of Italian eateries. Theres a scooter on display as well as a logo of the scooter. I'm sure there's a story behind it I can feel it in my bones. I'll have to research that at some point. But yes, The Red Hot-Tober was incredible from the chicken to the salami to the sauce and the seeded roll made it a home run. I also got a cheesesteak (because I love them and my will power is weak) with fried onions and it was delicious. A generous amount of meat. We also got an order of French fries which was more than enough for the both of us. We enjoyed everything! A great place and if we're in Doylestown again we will definitely come here. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

Yelp
My son and I ordered cheesesteaks that had cooper cheese. They were delicious. Plenty of steak on a seeded roll. We could only eat half of them. You're going to pay $15/steak. People are very friendly. Take credit cards. Inside seating. Plenty of parking. I would highly recommend Lucatelli's.

Jaison M.

Yelp
I found out about this place through social media and happen to be in the area so had to give it a shot. The interior design is modern and clean. The foot traffic was heavy so that was a great sign. The menu has a wide variety and I wanted to try them all. I ended up getting a few items to try. A slice of honey hot, grandma MVP, and boardwalk. Also got a arancini and meatball sliders. I was not disappointed in any of these selections. Great crust and ingredients all meshed well. The garlic knots used for the sliders were soft and buttery. I saw a lot of other items I wanted to try so guess I'll be going back. The staff seemed friendly and I believe the owner hand delivered some of the order, which is always nice to see.

Yelp
Mystery girl wanted pizza for dinner and we have been meaning to stop in as this has been recommended to us time and time again. We are from NY & just love/crave really good pizza lol. Tonight was the night. It looked pretty busy as we pulled up but it also seemed as if everyone was leaving. Sure enough they were. It isn't a huge pizza place, but it is really nice. The inside was very well decorated, felt more like a house than a pizzeria. They were very busy, but they kept up the flow well. Our pizza came out in good time. We didn't wait very long at all. The pizza was perfect. So good. It was perfectly well done without being burnt. Exactly how pizza is supposed to be. The pepperoni was crispy. The sauce was delicious as well. This place is the truth as far as pizza is concerned. Will certainly be back to try other things on the menu.

Scott A.

Yelp
Well....place is visually very nice. However, cheesesteak, fries, iced T= 26$ ! Sandwich was good, not great, good amount of meat, however all the cheese was clumped together on the bottom against the roll. This made the whole roll soggy. The fried onions were barely fried. French Fries, Just not my cup of tea. Kinda like fries from Wendy's. Overall I had much higher expectations when a steak sandwich is 15$. Not sure of a return visit for a follow up review.

Robert P.

Yelp
I must say Joe and Lucatelli's are true professionals. Joe took care of me today and I must admit, customer service was 110%. Truly impressed by Joe and the entire staff. You have to go try their Burrata Pizza with pepperoni and hot honey...thank me later. Lucatelli's has a dedicated customer. Thanks Joe

Toy G.

Yelp
Got to try out Lucatelli's Pizzeria this morning. The cheesesteak was wonderfully seasoned and chopped to a medium chop which was perfect. Plenty of cooper sharp and sweet chunky onions. The roll had a crispy bite to it and was hollowed so the bread was on the thin wall side, perfect. The meat was in abundance and overall an excellent steak. Had to try a slice for science and there were plenty of slices to pick from. The boardwalk slice was zingy and slightly sweet. Crust help up without droop. Light and crisp eat wonderful bite. Prices: Steak was $15.90 and the slice $3.71. For the money the slice should have been a bit larger but both were stupendous.

David R.

Yelp
I'm a big time pizza nerd and have my own wood burning pizza oven and all that. My wife orders some random pizza on grub hub tonight and assume it's good but generic. One bite and I know this is special. This is dough that's rested overnight and the tomato sauce was perfect. This was as good - maybe better? - than beddia. Damn it was a good pizza even after it got cold during travel with a quick warm up In toaster oven. Once I realized i was eating elevated pizza I looked it up and remembered the portnoy review. Now I have to go get everything else these guys make as well as eat a fresh pie. This doesn't disappoint and goes above and beyond solid local Italian shop pizza place pizza...

Marco D.

Yelp
Last two times I've gotten a cheesesteak from here I got the shits ! Pizza is always overcooked too .

Patricia S.

Yelp
First time trying Lucatelli's. The pizza was quite good and exactly what we requested. Ordered the arancini and it was excellent!

Guy R.

Yelp
Dinner crunch, wife says you're on for dinner. The light will be right for painting. I place an order as I'm leaving work. Pick-up at 6:30. Arrive a little early. Wait. 6:27, order is ready. Always amazing food. Also amazing service. We gotta try dine in.

A B.

Yelp
Holy cow this place is to die for! The sirloin cheesesteak with Cooper sharp cheese was the perfect combination. Definitely try the Grandma pizza because you will be hooked. Had a chat with the owner and told him how good our sandwiches are and he sent over an Italian donut stuffed with chocolate chip cannoli filling. It was warm, crunchy goodness but will be dreaming about it! The service was friendly and fast. It's a cute place to sit and enjoy a meal.

Connor Q.

Yelp
It's ok pizza. It's never ready on time. Takes at least 30 minutes after they say it'll be ready. Rude staff. Even after renovations, it's not any better. Go get pizza anywhere else in town for cheaper and better.

Mark P.

Yelp
Excellent pizza... many variation's to pick from and someone there to help you make the right chose! Dining area is bright and clean! Looking forward to my next visit.

Mike G.

Yelp
Just had a pizza , it was really good ... the crust was outrageously great though. Thin , crispy , light crust was above average, cheese was ok , sauce was ok ... I would definitely come back to try another pizza on their delicious crust! Sandwiches looked good too !

Brian K.

Yelp
i happened to be up in doylestown shopping and i remembered seeing a one nite review about a place up there. I checked yelp and it was right across the street from where i was so I had to stop by since i was hungry and always in the mood for some pizza. I went in and it was very busy but they had a good slice selection and i figured why not. I went to the counter and order one plain and one eggplant. I always get an eggplant something when i get the chance. Anyway i sat down for a minute or two read the menu and before i knew it was handed my box. I should mention the staff was busy but nice and the place is super clean and looks newly remodeled and just good. I went out to my car and ate away. the slices were well cooked and hot. the undercarriage was well browned. The cheese was melty. The slice was really well cooked. lightly well done. I have some people tell me they tough the slice needed more seasoning but i thought mine was good and didn't really need any noticeable improvements. I will definitely be back the next time i am up there and need a quick bite. ps the have an amazing neon pizza slice on the wall i really need for my place.

Barbara H.

Yelp
Cheesesteaks are AMAZING! Pizza is delicious also! Favorite stop whenever in the Doylestown area. I wish they would open one in Newtown.

Steve Z.

Yelp
Decided to try this place after Barstool review. What a disappointment. $47 for two pizza that were burnt. Not well done but burnt. Black on the edges. Second pizza is worse than the picture

J D.

Yelp
Good cheesesteak, wish it was a little bigger. Owner and employees are very nice. They take pride in their products.

Barbara M.

Yelp
We had never been there before, so we tried the cheesecake, which was fabulous and the role was exceptional. Then we got 2 pizzas, a regular cheese, and a bruschetta pizza. Both were great, the crust was unbelievable. We will definitely be going back.

Richard H.

Yelp
Great pizza! Very clean and modern restaurant. Nice upbeat atmosphere. We will go back!

Jay B.

Yelp
The one bite pizza guy rated their pies a 7.8. We'd rate them closer to a 6.8. Decent pie, slightly above average at best. Definitely not worth driving more than 10-12 minutes for.

Jake B.

Yelp
Went for the first time last night Interesting decor, mix of modern/hipster and very clean. Unexpected for a Doylestown pizza joint Pizza itself was good for the area. Great crust and high quality pepperoni. Cheesesteak was the best I've had in the Doylestown area

Maggie S.

Yelp
Lucatellis does pizza, and especially sandwiches, better than anyone in the area. You pay more for the quality, but we always find it worth it. The chicken vodka sandwich and cheesesteak are delicious and the pizza is dependably beyond Bucks County expectations. They even have great fries. Eating in is pleasant in their clean, modern interior. But the easy online ordering is our misal method.

Laura V.

Yelp
Always our #1 close to home, go-to choice for cheesesteaks and pizza! The fries are always on point too!

Gianna K.

Yelp
Their prices are ridiculously high and the food is mediocre at best. 15.00 for a cheesesteak??

Izzy G.

Yelp
Love this little spot. Most incredible food and vibes. I tried the pizza, salad, fries, cheesesteak, hoagies and dessert and they were all insane. Easily the best pizza place in Bucks County. The owner was so awesome and the service was quick and friendly.

Marcel L.

Yelp
Ordered a pizza online and checked the box for Extra Crispy (or some phrasing like that). What I got was a pizza totally black on the bottom and inedible. Hard to believe no one would notice that. More than disappointed.

Brock M.

Yelp
Update: The owner called me this evening to apologize for the delay, and gave me a refund for the entire order. He wants his local customers to know they're appreciated. Looking forward to enjoying their food during a weeknight during this upcoming holiday break! ______________________________________________ Went back for first time after the Portnoy review. Walked into the place, and it took me 15 minutes simply to get to the front of the store to get an update on my order. The four high school/college kids running the front and working with the customers -- they were awesome! So level headed, great memory and detail, good communicators. They are the reason why there was not a riot in that restaurant last night. At least 60 people inside at one point. Hate it that the adult owners would put everything on young people to prevent chaos, when it was entirely their fault. To start, when you put in an online order -- don't be fooled. You see two different wait times -- one for delivery and one for pickup. The pickup time quoted to me at 6:00 was 40-45 minutes. I walked out of the restaurant with my order at 7:45 -- that's a 105 minute wait. If you still choose to order and pick up from this restaurant, at the very least, go off the delivery time (which was 70-75 minutes when I ordered). That is more realistic. Garlic knots were not available -- still waiting for a refund, but that will probably be processed after the holiday. My main complaint about the 105 minute wait time was the lack of an accurate time quote. There's no way they "suddenly got crushed" between the time I placed my order and when I showed up to the restaurant. The food -- very, very good. Margherita pizza was tasty and fresh, pasta and sauce was delicious (but cold, since it was finished and boxed more than half an hour before the pizza was done), meatballs were very meaty -- I love that. Salad was fresh, but size was too small for price. We became customers of this place as soon as it opened, as Doylestown just does not have a lot of accessible, quality restaurants. Having said that, we won't be back on weekends -- it just doesn't make sense to wait that long. It looks like they are organized, but they are just not honest about their wait times. All to make some quick profits before the hysteria fades away. And all on the backs of those four young employees to kept a lot of angry people from losing their minds.

Joe M.

Yelp
Confused as to why people are saying how great the cheesesteaks are here, very typical pizzeria steak. Nothing special about this at all. Way too much money for what you get.

Kelly P.

Yelp
Awesome food and service Order is always correct, fresh and ready when I ask for it.

Robert D.

Yelp
Excellent pizza and cheesesteaks! We have recommended to family and friends with positive feedback from everyone.

Lizann D.

Yelp
We had another Company event and I knew exactly what to serve. Lucatelli's make me look like a rock star! Their meatball sliders were a HUGE hit. Their rip n dip and their tomato pie was excellent. There was nothing leftover!!! Great owners. Very clean establishment. Their eggplant pizza is on my mind daily.....it's that good! I would recommend Lucatelli's to anyone!

Donald W.

Yelp
Amazing cheese steak sandwich great pork and broccoli rabe sandwich excellent pizza. Gotta try the mustard special pizza. Don't forget to get onions on the cheese steak with Cooper sharp. This is a must visit place well worth the trip. We drove down from Connecticut!

Denise M.

Yelp
First time here. Had the Greek salad that was more than I could eat and delicious! I also couldn't finish it because I tried the Arancini appetizer which is a fried Risotto Ball that was filling and out of the world! My son and granddaughter had pizza slices that were huge and looked delicious! Will definitely return when I'm back in town!

D J.

Yelp
Fabulous. Everything is wonderful. Sauce great. Pizza, bread and cookies are the best!!

Vlad N.

Yelp
Came in today with my fiance. Ordered 2 cheesesteaks w/coopersharp and onions. Along with a plane pie. Customer service was excellent! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and (what I assume to be the owner) was extremely friendly. Cheesesteaks came out terrific! One of the best we've ever had. Pizza was great as well!

Angel C.

Yelp
I don't eat a lot of pizza but boy... did this ever satisfy my cravings. Wonderful pizza. Finally! I loved every bite. We ordered the mushroom. We also got a Greek salad which was fresh and delicious. It always makes me happy to spend my hard earned money at a place that's worth the money, it's been really hard for me to find a pizza my tastebuds love.. so thank you very much for your delicious pizza. I will be back!

Jill B.

Yelp
I was really excited to try Lucatellis Cheesesteak! I was let down, it was half full and a lot smaller than I thought a $15 cheesesteak would be. Flavor was good, but disappointed with the amount of meat. Want to go back and try their pizzas.

Susannah C.

Yelp
Best pizza in bucks! We also love the cheesesteak, arugula salad, and eggplant Parmesan.

Alex M.

Yelp
First let me start off by saying we love the Philly cheesesteak so much we got it twice in one week! Unfortunately when my husband got his sandwich the second time he found a crunchy piece in his sandwich and spit it out only to see a little bone was in there. We were very disappointed because we heard such great things and enjoyed the sandwiches ourselves but are a little turned off now....

Thomas W.

Yelp
Great food. Best Cheesesteak around and the pizza is excellent. Eat there every week
