Lucca at Logan International Airport
Awaiting a late morning flight from Logan in Terminal B, I stopped for a light breakfast at Lucca. Within minutes Mauricio greeted me with a glass of water and took my order (bagel with cream cheese, $6). Again, within just a few minutes Mauricio returned with my order, perfectly prepared.
The menu and bar service were both more than sufficient for travelers; the service was excellent, the restaurant was clean and, given the time of day, there were only four or five occupied tables. So well done: five stars Lucca.
Just a note to fellow travelers: unless they’re friends of yours, no one in a public space like Lucca really wants to know intimate details of your personal life. During the first fifteen minutes of my stay at Lucca, a traveler one table away dove into a loud and detailed phone conversation about his less than successful love life and information about how his job was other than ideal. Sigh.
Coincidentally, and perhaps ironically, while Mr. Traveler went on and on about himself, the bar’s public music background was playing Billy Joel’s “Keep it to Yourself.”
