The best pastelito de guayaba in the world! I was born and raised on Lucerne. We have tried everything in over four decades, none can come close to them! We now live over 700 miles away and any time my mom travels north to see us she doesn’t even have to ask, the only thing I want are pastelitos from Lucerne. Years ago she brought me this very special mug from there. Gracias Jorgito y Ricky por continuar el legado y permitir que mis hijos conocieran este pedazo de mi juventud tan especial! It was my first time ordering from this place and it was perfect! I’m so happy I found this amazing bakery. I definitely recommend their cakes because I can tell that they really do put so much love in these pastries. It’s delicious and really does not compare to the other cakes i have tried around my area. I live near Kendall but I wanted to try a new bakery to I found this one on instagram and I think it was the best decision of my life. Love this place!!

This place has been my favorite morning cafecito place since I could drink coffee. The quality and service are good. I recommend a pan con coqrueta pressed with a little bit of butter. Also, a cafecito is a must.

Nice local bakery that also sells Cuban coffee. It is especially popular early in the morning. The employees are friendly and so are the prices. It's a fun place to see the original local Latin american type bakeries in Miami. It's a good place to visit especially early in the morning when the bread is fresh and it is very busy.

I never been here before, but the service and my cafe con leche on point and the croqueta are really good , kinda in line with isla Canarias. My tostada crispy and nice and buttery. Love it because it an out of the way location kinda hidden if you don’t live in the neighborhood. The staff friendly and great service. Who ever is the owner doing an awesome job

I've lived in Miami since 1981 and grew up eating Cuban pastries and never until now have I eaten such excellent pastries the dough of the pastries is at another level, I highly recommend this place because you're going to eat the best Cuban pastries and the staff is lovely

This small place brings a ton of freshness and tastefulness ! I love everything here from the tostadas to the cafe con leche it's supreme and they are quick at serving you...in and out...

The lady Yanet made the best café con leche in my life. The service was phenomenal. Very clean in the building. When you even park you could smell the freshly baked foods from cakes to pastries. Best bakery I've been at I would come everyday .

Leaving Miami and we wanted to take home some sweet treats. This place was around the corner from our air bnb. We left on a Saturday around 11:00 am, the line was still good length and seemed like people that go all the time as the were in conversations with each of the staff. We got cafe con Leche (it really is a must in Miami), it's so good (even with it's a thousand degrees outside) We got guava and cheese patries (the dough... mmmm, you could tell the dough was handmade... so flaky and buttery, but not messy) - I actually just ate the last one a week later and it was still really good! We got some cookies (not sure what they were but they were crumbly and buttery), they were PERFECT!!! The ladies at the counter were all really nice and the store was really clean! I'm hoping to find something like this in Jax ... lol!

They have the best Cuban bread, or Pan Polaco as they call it. Is soft and flavorful.

Ok, so I am a tostada connoisseur. I get them everywhere I go. Now, as simple as this treat is, it's actually quite hard to find a good one these days. They are either over toasted and on the burnt side, not buttered enough, or under toasted and cold. The struggle is real. In steps Lucerne. An unsuspecting location. No frills. And hands down the BEST tostada in town. I'm obsessed with it. It's perfectly toasted, perfectly buttered. Drool worthy. The cafe con leche was also good. Service is polite and efficient. I have stopped in several times and they are not overly crowded. It's a nice, smooth experience. Parking is also convenient. Def stop in and give Lucerne a try!!

I've been coming here for the past 30 years! All the ladies gave me the best service like they have always done, I love the pan cubano and pastries here. Lucerne Bakery is the best! They even have UberEats now. I love the atmosphere too.

The service has gone down and moral of employer has too. It a good place it opened up early prices are good.

Como a cambiado la atención en ese bakery, unos de mi favoritos. Llegue el Martes y Miercoles y la muchacha que me atendió tenía una cara de pocos amigos. No me fijé en el Nombre pero se que tiene varios tatuajes. Me atendió como si no quería trabajar o como si odia su trabajo. Aquí no se trata de votar a nadie. este review es para que el manager hable con los empleados y que les digan que traten a los clientes con una sonrisa por lo menos. Había una muchacha de lo más nice y pregunté por ella y me dicen que ya no trabaja ahí. No se que habrá pasado. Lo triste es que este Bakery es uno de los mejores en Miami.

I was driving by, on the way to Walmart. I saw the very austere and understated storefront. Lucerne Bakery. I looked at Pattie, and I said...no marketing and a full parking lot. We must go. Cute and friendly counter staff joked around with us as we perused the options. I ordered every option of empanada. They were baked, with the flakiest pastry and delicious fillings. My favorite was the spinach and cheese. Pattie liked the beef. I ordered every option of the croqueta. So flavorful. Explosions with every bite. Could not leave without an eclair and some other Napolean-like pastry. Both outstanding. Now...I'm an Italian in Miami, so that makes me half-Cuban. This was my favorite empanada, hands down...and I'm a big Graziano Plum and Bacon empanada fan. I have to imagine I'm late to this Lucerne party, but you don't be. Go there and dive in. So good.

This bakery has been a favorite of my family for generations. Considering its 40 year history, this bakery really exemplifies the magic of a family owned business. We always buy the platters of 25 cheese, and guava pastellitos with the bocaditos and croquetas and it's always a huge hit at any event. The Cuban bread is the BEST in Miami and the most important feature of this bakery is that they ensure the FRESHEST products. I've been to all the mainstream bakeries around Miami like Pinecrest and Vicky's and nothing compares to the hand made, fresh pastries, breads, and desserts (my fav is the borrachitas y cappuccinos). The service was amazing and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Best Cuban bakery in Miami!

This is my preferred spot for croquetas and pastelitos. The croquetas are just exactly how I like them and the pastelitos are perfectly crispy with delicious fillings. Coconut, guava, and cheese pastelitos are all great. Haven't had much else outside those items.

The important thing is that the pastelito de queso is one of the very best I've had in Miami. The place is a dump in a low end strip mall but if you are on the area and want very tasty Cuban bakery items you won't go wrong. Fresh, hot, sweet.

Walked by chance because it was the closest bakery to the rehab center where my dad is staying and I wanted to grab some pastelitos to bring to the floor staff. They were super delighted with pastries. Ranting and raving about how fresh they tasted.

The BEST bakery in Miami! I have been coming here my entire life and have never ever ever been disappointed. I swear by my life that this place has the FRESHEST pastelitos, croquetas, Cuban bread, etc in all of Miami. I don't really know how else to put it. It's just the greatest feeling to bite into one of Lucerne's hot, crunchy, freshly made croquetas. And the loaves of Cuban bread here have soo much "masa" (dough)! None of those loaves that are filled with air, like in other places. Lucerne's is very, very simple. No tables, nothing fancy. This is an in-and-out type place. And when you get into your car and take your first bite of that freshly made croqueta, you'll understand what I'm saying.

People need to come to this bakery because I like it. In a city where everyone has a saying about who has the best pastelito, Lucerne Bakery certainly has a spot among the top. If you are wondering what type of pastelito is good enough to travel and find it, well, let me say a couple things about this place. First off, Lucerne Bakery doesn't have two glass counters full of Cuban pastries. It is a modest bakery. Also, they don't have a whooping array of pastelitos, only the basic guava, guava cheese, meat, cheese. Next to those, papa rellena, croquetas, empanadas, and empanada gallega. And, there are no tequeños or pan de bono on display. Since they are a bakery, and not just a window, there's a couple more counters with desserts, cakes, Cuban sandwiches and media noches, and other pastries. And of course Cuban bread, crackers, etc. So, why Lucerne. Simple, they sell those guava and cheese pastelitos that look like a basket. Not the triangular or square ones, the basket ones, which happen to be my favorite. Also, all the pastelitos are fresh. No matter what time a day. Pair that with some coffee, or a soda, and your day will be a lot better. But, there is one more thing that makes Lucerne Bakery a hit. There is little foot traffic here. You come in, get your stuff, and get out, unlike the other bakeries where is just fifteen minutes to order. And it may be this way because there is no seating at this bakery, and the abuelas and abuelos don't lounge here. Now, don't think this is the best pastelito in the world, or that this is the best bakery in the world either, but if you like pastelitos and you are always looking for some good ones, stop by. Also, this place is not a social hub, but if you need a coffee and a snack, drop by. But most important, if you are in a hurry, or if you are not looking to drop coin, get out of your car and come in. There is nothing hip about this place, and you'll love that.

Literally the best, butteriest, flakiest, most delicious cuban tostada in Miami. They're coffee is also on point! Honestly, its not even worth it to go anywhere else for your morning cuban fixings. I'm officially a fan.

This is my favorite bakery in West Miami. Be sure that you get in early to avoid the large crowd! Also after 11am pastellitos are slim pickings. Signature pastellito de pizza is a must and so are the guyaba y Queso. As for the staff they are not too attentive and don't make an effort to know the regulars. Don't expect a smile accompanied by "buenos dias" because they really don't care lol. There's no number system to see who's next. You've got to be on top of it (beware) of the skippers. Hate to have negativity in my review, but MY FAVORITE BAKERY has crappy customer service. I still buy their baked goods and enjoy them. Of course if they worked on customer service I would give them all 5 stars. So if you love a buttery flakey abundantly filled pastry and don't mind nonchalant customer service. This is the place to go. Even though they take cards now, pay cash, save 7%.

I work at the hospital across the street and we have our own cafeteria, but I Ashley's come here for my coffee breaks. The staff is awesome and the pastelitos & empanadas are always fresh and warm. Location in right on coral way so you can't miss it with plenty parking, prices are very fair and they open at 5 am. You can also cater for your parties croquettas, pastries and much more. Check them out you won't be disappointed.

One of my favorite locations for my Pastelito De Carne. Service staff looks a lot better and more efficient then before. Been eating at this location for many years. Their recipe for the dough is by far first to none.

I came here because of the reviews and my family raves about this place. I did not find anything special about it. We ordered a croissant sandwich and a pastelitos and they were both pretty average. I would give them another chance though because of the highly rated reviews.

Some of the best, if not the best, pastelitos in the city of Miami. The owner has been here for close to 40 years and brought all his recipes from Cuba. It's a no-frills place. You probably need to speak Spanish to order. There is no line or ticket system. The focus is on quality and consistency. I've been coming since I was a kid and not much has changed here in all those years. Now as a professional chef, I can appreciate just how good the quality here is. Everything is made fresh daily. The pastry dough is made from scratch, the bread has only 3 or 4 ingredients. The pastry dough actually rises and flakes properly, unlike other bakeries in town that use frozen commercial doughs and do not cook it at a right temperature, leaving you with raw indigestible dough. Lucerne gets it right.

One of the best bakeries in miami, they have what is in my opinion the best pastelitos de guayaba in miami!! Their pastelitos de carne are also amazing, along with the pastelitos de queso. They are amazing and the customer service is always good, they attend you pretty fast even on days where they have a line.....this place is definitely my favorite cuban bakery ANYWHERE!

Best pastelitos EVER!!! Its not like other places that you eat them and the pastelito flakes fall all over your clothes. These pastelitos are golden brown and not yellow like some other places. The meat pastelitos are so soft and delicious. This place is an authentic cuban pastelitos bakery. I go to this bakery at least 2 times every week, and I will continue to go!

The very best and authentic Cuban pastelitos (my favorite is the guava) in Miami. Crunchy, flaky and not too sweet. I pair them with a Cuban toast (easy on butter), ham croquettes and of course a delicious cafe con leche to go with everything else. I lived in Miami 20 years and after 10 years out of Miami, I always try to pay a visit to Lucerne when in town.

I live in Davie but Lucerne's is my favorite part about working in Miami. Whether it's an early or late morning, my day can't start without Cafe con Leche and breakfast from here.

Good good overall bakery. They have very good pastries and sandwiches not to mention the media noche. Which happens to be my favorite out of all . Would recommend this place to anyone looking to eat good cuban style pastries and sandwiches.

I never reviewed this place because I go here all the time and just assumed everyone else did... This place has the BEST Cuban pastelittos and croquettas in town - hands down! No one can top this place. It's very reasonably priced too. Every morning you can see abuelitos and family members congregating here to get their daily bread and yummy treats. The shopping center is not new or fancy, neither is the shop, but you're there for the food - not the decor!

I've been coming to this bakery for many years and it hasn't changed one bit. It like home to me.
