Google
Best burritos in the area. Specifically recommend the Mexican Chorizo burrito; the flavors in this one are impeccable. The other food is also tasty, made fresh-to-order, and very sizable. If you’re craving Latin food, this is the place to go in Mattituck.

Suzy L

Google
Always fresh and delicious. You must try the papsua and the fajitas! No matter what you order you will not be disappointed. We always make a point to stop every time we are in town

Matt Meyer

Google
Highly recommend this local gem. Unbelievable authentic Latin food in Mattituck right off Love Lane. Really delicious steak burrito with tasty sides. A must try when on the North Fork.

Yelp
A nice little spot in the North Fork. I never thought I would find.Pupusas here but thank God I did. They're very delicious. Definitely coming back. I'm here for the whole summer. Can't wait to try the other stuff.

Yelp
Do not believe their website prices. They haven't updated the website in years and prices are practically doubled. The food is excellent but their prices continue to be a deceptive practice.

Yelp
Good Salvadoran place in Long Island. Got pupusas, empanadas, steak tacos and huevos racheros. The pupusas tasted authentic and delicious. Steak tacos and huevos racheros were pretty good. Didn't really like the chicken empanadas. Overall it was a good experience; the prices are a bit on the higher side since its in Long Island.

Yelp
If you ever find yourself in the North Fork area, this is your spot for tasty and authentic Salvadoran fare! Truly a hidden gem. Prices have been raised, as noted by other Yelpers, but I still found them to be quite modest for the portion and quality of food. The restaurant was nicely decorated with some paintings. The woman working at the counter was friendly as well. Feeling hungry for lunch, my mom and I ordered a pupusa with beans, cheese, and pork along with a chicken empanada (the empanada order comes with 2). All of the food tasted homemade and very delicious. The pupusa had the right amounts of filling. The empanadas had a crispy exterior and a nice cheese pull as you bit into them. The chicken was also very juicy and tender. Note that the pupusa included with beans, cheese, and pork comes out cheaper than the pupusa included with just cheese and pork... Go figure! The only downside is that they don't offer dessert, but I'll definitely return next time to try more items on their menu... including their tacos! Highly recommend.

Yelp
"Went to a Taco Party.. to reminisce with my old friends" My wife & I are out east and want a nice lunch. I tell her I know a place but don't tell her details. Once we walk inside, the wall chalkboard has their breakfast menu written out but we're here for lunch. I grab a menu and show her the lunch menu. I suggest the "Taco Party" which is one of each taco Lucia offers which is 7 in total. We also ordered 2 beef empanadas. The Fish taco was the top favorite. Filled with fresh fish, it had a delicate fry on the skin. The Shrimp Taco also had a great blackened, deep flavor. I must point out, the taco party has all of the different sauces and toppings on the side so you create your tacos to your liking. My wife doesn't like tacos that are too heavy on the onion. You're able to season your taco to your personal taste. The empanadas are probably the best I had this year. Our choice was ground beef and they were packed with empanada love. There's limited seating in place for social distancing. We sat at a small table but the window table they have in place is beautiful. So Taco Party with a bottle of Horchata = heaven. Lucia, we loved our tacos!

Yelp
Shrimp fajita came out in a bowl kind of like a soup with rice, beans and tortilla on the side. It was so good, spiced perfectly. Also tried the cheese and Loroco pupusa 10/10! Staff was super friendly. Excited to go back and try some more!!

Vanessa G.

Yelp
OH WOW! I didn't think this area would have any good Spanish food lol. This Salvadorian food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! All made fresh, juicy, amazingly seasoned. We only come to the area once a year and this is going to be our go to spot for now on.

Yelp
I wanted some tacos before the winery (don't judge). This place is simply amazing. The food was well cooked and well portioned. Kicks Mattitaco's butt!!! At the end, the counter woman was so happy that we loved our meal that she gave us a bag of all their sauces on the house. I would recommend this place in a heart beat.

Salvatrice M.

Yelp
Food is authentic! The papusa's are delicious! The employees are very helpful with the many unusual menu choices! It's a very clean, open, space! We really like this restaurant!

Yelp
So sorry to write this but they charge a "a 20% service charge" for a party of 3 and they don't tell you this and I left cash on the table 10 dollars to be exact so in total I left 24 dollars for a 55 dollar bill. I saw my receipt and notice it when I got home. They should post it somewhere or in the menu. Probably not coming back.
google avatar

Carolyn J.

Yelp
The food was delicious, rib eye dinner and guac on the side, however the pending charge on my cc the next morning was about 40% higher than I was expecting. After calling in the morning and being told to call back around 3pm, it was explained that the online (website) prices had not been caught up to their in store (paper) menu. That accounted for about $3.00+, the rest of the discrepancy was the 25% (or more) tip the cashier added to the bill! I just handed her the credit card & she never showed me the screen. They made good on the tip amount, but it was a big hassle the next day. Shame, because I wanted to provide them with a great review based on the food.

Yelp
Don't let my 3 star rating discourage you, it's a strong 3, I've just been doing more reviews & trying to raise my own standards but this is definitely a good restaurant. Why didn't it get more stars you ask? Well it's good but doesn't blow you away. If you're looking for Salvadorian food it hits the mark. My pupusas was a little soggy on the bottom & on the Yelp pics the wings looked grilled but mine were deep fried & breaded. All in all its pretty darn good. I've had the taco party dish before & that's a mountain of food. Which brings me to portion size... generous. So if you're on the North Fork want some good eats without breaking the bank this is a quaint little stop.

Edward A.

Yelp
This restaurant is probably one of the greatest I've been to,The Pupusas and Quesadillas are absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is amazing the size could be bigger but why complain when you have some of the best food in the North Fork area.If you do have the time and are looking for an amazing Hispanic Cuisine I definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Food was amazing and it all tasted so homemade and delicious we ordered shrimp tacos , the lunch speacial, and the loco burrito. Definitely a must go!!! Unfortunately during lunch it's a wait because their super busy but busy is good to me I don't mind waiting. Also there's a surcharge idk why but I guess be expected to pay a bit more on your total.
google avatar

Mallory S.

Yelp
Hands down the BEST tacos in mattituck. (Yes, better than the other 2 restaurants you're thinking of...), and way more affordable. The papusas (which are huge), empanadas and quesadillas are also amazing! I will definitely be back to try their breakfast menu, and lunch specials.

O K L.

Yelp
Delicious food and wonderful service. We ate in and it worked for my group of 8 but definitely not much seating if it's crowded but we lucked out because most people that came in were doing takeout. Would definitely have again.

Carol M.

Yelp
Went to eat at the restaurant on Friday night we did dinin. The food was very very good. The only downfall was you pay for your food at the register you get the receipt after only if you asked for it, they charge you a 20% service charge without telling you we did tip the girl who brought us the food .But people should look at their receipt even if you're getting takeout they do charge you a service charge
google avatar

Yelp
If you want an amazing meal at an affordable price, come to Lucia. This small family owned business has a wide variety of tacos, empanadas, and papusas. The seafood soup (available on Sundays) is chock full of fish, shrimp, and some lobster and mussels. The Central American hot drink Atol de Elote is like a corn chowder in a coffee cup for $3. A taco plate is $8. The house made corn tortillas are superb. Location is on busy main road, but there is parking in back. Don't be fooled by what looks like an empty entryway--you pass inside to the dining area.

Yelp
Soooo yummy & fresh!! My son, husband, and I stopped by to pick up something for lunch. We all got something with carne asada (steak) so I can't comment on the fish or the chicken, etc, sorry, lol. But the carne asada was DELISH: quality meat, well marinated, perfectly sizzled. I got the soft tacos & it was so much food -- too much to finish. My son got the quesadilla, he is NOT a fan of Central American flavors but he raved about how good this quesadilla was and he, too, had enough to save some for later. My husband got a burrito and he was busy eating the whole thing but he looked really happy. I think this will become one of our go-to spots. I'm so glad we tried it!

Yelp
This is a staple for us at least once a week. Authentic fresh ingredients we love the chicken chimichanga and the salad with grilled chicken. Staff is always friendly :)

Anne A.

Yelp
The best Spanish food around !!! The family who owns it could not be nicer and I love all the different options on the menu and fresh ingredients. The spinach quesadillas are soooo bomb
google avatar

Jane K.

Yelp
This Salvadorian restaurant offers an extensive menu of various dishes, I wish I had ordered something off their entrées but their tacos and quesadilla were great choices! The steak in both the tacos and quesadilla were well seasoned, juicy, and tender. The quesadilla was overflowing with cheese, and that is never a complaint! Loved their green (salsa verde) sauce to go with both the tacos and quesadilla. The restaurant has parking spaces off to the side which is a nice touch being that it is on a busy road. Prices are higher than usual but worth it!

Yelp
Went there today for the first time. Really good food. I got huevos rancheros. My husband got fish tacos. And my toddler chicken fingers. The side sauces were amazing as well ! Will def be returning.
google avatar

Evelyn M.

Yelp
Cute little Spanish cafe. You can eat in or take out. They also have lunch specials with a can of soda for $10 but we didn't know until after we ordered (it was on the chalk board on the side wall) so that was annoying. I got the vegetable tacos and my boyfriend got the steak tacos. We both thoroughly enjoyed them! Very fresh tasting and delicious.
google avatar

Erica W.

Yelp
Definitely the best lunch spot in the Mattituck/love lane area. Prices are great for super flavorful food! I highly recommend you try their chorizo as well, not too spicy but just full of flavor. They have nice lunch specials too that I still need to try out. My favorites here so far are the chorizo burrito and steak burrito. After reading other reviews I will try empanadas next time.
google avatar

Bri M.

Yelp
Authentic and Amazing! Very friendly as well as accommodating. We favor the burritos and nachos! Cannot go wrong with Lucia's.
google avatar

Dee J.

Yelp
All I can say is wonderful. I had two tostados, one shrimp and the other chorizo. Both were delicious and fresh on a lovely bed of fresh greens. I suggest order ahead
google avatar

Hailey B.

Yelp
Great food, great prices! We got 3 of the Farmer's Plate (Plato Campesino) and WOW did those things have a lot of food! So flavorful too! We will be coming here again!

Yelp
Excellent new restaurant across the street from Love Lane. It's right on main road just past the curved road. Can be a little dicey getting out of the parking lot since there is a blind spot and the traffic goes fast around that bend. There used to be another Central American restaurant at this location but the food was not memorable. This is so much better. The steak tacos were one of the best I ever had. The steak had a nice seasoning and every small piece of steak was surprisingly tender. The soft shell was fresh and not chewy. The grilled chicken was good but was overcooked. I liked the seasoning but there were some dried out tough pieces of chicken. We also ordered a side of guacamole for $3.75 which was a great deal. Best of all they have pupusa's also the best I ever had although I have limited experiences with pupusa's. These were loaded with fillings. I had the mushroom and a spinach pupusa. Some places skimp on the fillings and you can't tell one pupusa from another not here. Prices are very reasonable in fact a bargain for the area. You could eat here but more of a take out place.

Rebecca P.

Yelp
WOW wow wow is all I can say about Lucia!!! We got a farmers platter (Plato campesino) which came with steak, meat patty, rice and beans, cheese, avocado, pico de Gallo, homemade tortillas, Salvadoran coleslaw and plantains for only $15! It was soooooooo much food and so delicious. Other people in my family got a veggie burrito (LOVED) and a chicken burrito. They gave us plenty of sauces, napkins and utensils. They were very accommodating as one of us asked for no cilantro on a burrito and they had no problem with it! And OMG the pupusa!!! Fresh and delicious. We will come back to Lucia and certainly recommend it, what a gem in the heart of Mattituck! We hope they stay around forever!

Desiree R.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the prices have gone up in the last couple of years, but they have the best plátanos around!

Charles V.

Yelp
The tacos and empanadas were very good. But there was one thing that irked me. There are 2 menus. One in English and one in Spanish. For the English menu the cost was more than the menu in spanish for the same item. I can read spanish but I am American and I was irritated for being charged more in America for being American. I think the owners should rethink their policy or I would hesitate to return.

Caroline B.

Yelp
Good authentic S. American fare. Local and friendly. Great for lunch. Difficult place to pull in off main road
google avatar

Emily R.

Yelp
pretty good and you get a lot of food! some of the food is plain while other things like salads are pretty tasty, Chicken had very little flavor. The nachos could be better as the cheese tastes like its from the dollar store but other than that not bad, just wish the flavors were present in all the food. Watch out for the shredded chicken burrito, had a HUGE BONE in mine! lucky i took a small bite as this was big enough to damage your teeth or choke on it if you like me and have a narrow opening to your throat or your a child!

Mike K.

Yelp
Are here today, best tacos Ever with the most amount of meat Ever. Service was a bit slow but the food still scored 5 stars true authentic top quality food. We will be back again.

Mery R.

Yelp
Food was amazing i came here with hubby and got huevos ranchero plate it cane with beans ,plantain, cheese, cream and the best chorizo ever (i think it's homemade) and the staff was really friendly and nice 10/10
google avatar

Alexis T.

Yelp
Excellent!! The food and service at Lucia far exceeded my expectations. I had the Campesino platter and everything on my plate was delicious! We had 2 pupils as as well and they were so good. And you can't beat the prices here. If you're looking for hearty, delicious, home cooked food, look no further. I will definitely be coming back!

Cynthia J.

Yelp
This place has some of the best Hispanic food I have ever had, no matter what you get. Not to mention the service is great. I've been here many times and it has always been a great experience.

Sandy S.

Yelp
Best kept secret in Mattituck. Such amazing authentic El Salvador food. Staff is always so nice. Four stars because I fear coming out of parking lot.

Michele B.

Yelp
The pupusas are so good, and I love the slightly spicy slaw that comes with. Everything tastes so fresh and staff is so friendly. Good veggie options too. Eventually I'll make my way through the rest of the menu, and the enchiladas and tostados are really tasty, but I always add a pupusa to my order! Definitely worth a visit!

Jim B.

Yelp
They never disappoint... awsome food and customer service. The duck and pulled pork is delicious.. and really good wings.
google avatar

Tim L.

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious. One of the best steak empanadas, if not the best, that I've had. Tacos were fantastic and service was great.

Jessica A.

Yelp
The food here is insanely good and the woman behind the counter was super friendly. We had pupusas (mushroom, spinach, bean), tamales, and a side of fried plantains. Hooooly moly everything was amazing. Go here immediately.

Robert F.

Yelp
Fresh and always on target with flavors and authenticity. Diners,Drive ins and Dives needs to visit this place. #1

Shannon T.

Yelp
THIS IS A HIDDEN GEM!!!!!! My family and I have been going here the past summer or two for take out and everything is amazing. We tried the pupusas and are addicted- kind of like a fluffy corn tortilla type of thing filled with different meats/cheese that comes with a mixture of a tomato based sauce and slaw. The tacos are my go-to and are soooo good. Very authentic style food and you can tell they use fresh ingredients/make everything in house. My sister gets the burritos and love them! The staff is always super friendly and helpful when ordering!! Menus are available in both Spanish and English !!

Eveready A.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing value. I can get lunch for 4 with leftovers for $25. Best guacamole I've ever had, also love the beef tacos

Mg B.

Yelp
How great to have an authentic Salvadoran restaurant in town! The papusas are delicious and the folks who work at Lucia's are always so helpful and friendly. I look forward to trying the other items on the menu, although I just have to have some papusas too!
