This restaurant was a very nice Italian restaurant. The food was great, my husband and I had a very nice waitress. Good service and the chef even brought our food out. Although I do feel like for the price of the food there should be more flavor. It was delicious but could have better. We even had a nice glass of complementary champagne when we walked in. I am pleased.

I came here for my friend’s birthday. She wanted to try the pasta wheel because she saw it on Tik Tok. It was an interesting experience but do not think it was worth the food being absolutely horrendous. This restaurant prides themselves on having high end Italian food, I could’ve gotten better pasta at Olive Garden for 1/4 the price. I ordered the risotto and chicken. The risotto was mushy, but had good flavor. The chicken was absolutely inedible, chewy, stringy, and foul. They took it off my bill which I appreciated. My friend ordered a salad with steak for an extra $18. The steak was a total of 3 pieces. My other friends all ordered pasta, two of them had one bite and didn’t eat the rest. The service was really good but the food was awful for how much it costs. Definitely do not go here if you want to enjoy your meal, not worth the price, honestly wouldn’t have even paid $10 for that meal.

I went to this space when it was DBA and I enjoyed it. I was excited to try this new restaurant so decided to take my husband for this birthday. Bread- very hard and no flavor We had the pastina soup- read the reviews! It’s true. Tasteless and it was lukewarm Italian salad- very heavy dressed again, croutons were stale, wouldn’t recommend Husband got the filet. It was overcooked but seasoned well. I would say the best part I got the pesto with gnocchi (way overcooked- think mashed potato) I added scallops and broccolini (both were good) I called earlier in the day and asked if they do anything for birthday they said free dessert. When it came time for the end of the meal our server said do you want any dessert. I’m thinking so much for a surprise birthday dessert. Our server was not very friendly but the overall team work from staff was good We did talk to the manager, did not want anything comp more so to tell our experience/chef. Definitely felt like we were rubbed off. Overall, unfortunately, would not recommend and will not be going back. Sad to experience this since it is close and we really did want a good experience.

Went to Luciano's at Northside on Furnace St. for dinner last night and it was great! Our third time there since they opened in March. Husband had the veal chop that looked fabulous and I had the parmesan pasta wheel which was wonderful. Mark brings out the pasta and a half wheel of parmesan cheese on a cart and flames a portion of rum to caramelize the cheese wheel and then adds the pasta and does his magic and voila! What a show! And something you won't find anywhere else in the county. Stella was our server and she does a great job also. Highly recommend!

My husband and I just happened upon this place looking for somewhere nice to go for my birthday and it was a very good thing we did! Seth was our service and he was great! We also loved all of the food - the bread was great with the rosemary butter, I got the wheel pasta that they make table side and the gentleman who did it was wonderful as well! Their Brussels sprouts were the only ones my husband has ever liked because they were so good, and both of our salads were delicious. They make almost all of their pasta In house and it was so good! Service was lovely and everyone was so attentive and professional. The atmosphere was great as well. We will be back!

What a nice place! The service was impeccable. All the staff were a team, the young man who was the bar back was upbeat and helpful. Aaron the bartender truly enjoys his job and added such fun flair to his role. The gentleman with glasses who I presume was the manager ( or was just a natural leader) stepped in to help all the staff. Filled our waters, took our dishes, all while waiting tables of his own. The drinks here were AMAZING and the food was excellent. My only critique was their two person tables are extremely close together making it uncomfortable when it’s busy.

My husband and I went to Lucianos for a midweek dinner date after seeing them posted on social media. Overall, I give them 4/5 for everything. For a Wednesday night the service was decently busy, I do reccomend using the simple reservation form via open table regardless of when you go. When we arrived at 7pm for our reservation it was fairly quiet, but by the end of our meal the place was mostly full including the bar. The service was stellar, staff were friendly and quick to assist or jump in to ask if we needed anything even when it wasn't our server. The atmosphere is also solid, feeling upbeat and modern enough for a casual dinner together or a date. The warm bread with butter, oil, and vinegar was simple but a nice start to the meal. The Ruby's Dream cocktail was delicious and strong enough that I sipped it for the entire meal. We got the Charcuterie and Artichoke appetizers. The artichokes should not be skipped of you enjoy them, they were well made and delicious. The risotto this visit was carrot and goat cheese, and was very well made. For entrees we both selected pasta as all but the penne is made in house. My chicken Alfredo had a delicious sauce, and the grilled chicken was near perfect, though in larger pieces than I would have preferred given that the bowl it is served in is not ideal for cutting into smaller bites. The mushrooms were a nice addition in it as well, I just wish there had been more as a mushroom fan. The spaghetti and meatballs was also delicious and the meatball was very well made. The tiramisu is always a classic and was presented well. Our only complaint about both pastas were that there were a couple of large chunks where the pasta stuck together in a ball to where it couldn't be broken apart, so we each had pieces where it was just a lump of cooked pasta with just a little sauce unless we swiped it through the rest of the pasta. A minor complaint, as I also make my own pasta and know it can happen easily. We still took leftovers home, and ate it happily today for lunch. Overall very happy, and we will dine again.

Google
Wonderful food and experience! We ordered the Caccio e peppe, veal, and duck ravioli all 10/10. Carrot cake and pistachio gelato martini another winner. Bonus point for the outstanding service and charm from our waiter Stokes!

Yelp
Beautiful space. Great menu choices for tasty food and drinks and friendly service! Welcomed by the hostess with complimentary sparkling wine. Modern Italian with lots of favorite classics on the menu! We had a hard time choosing! Chicken Milanese was two very large breast. Not pounded thin as expected but very flavorful! Had gnocchi with pesto sauce. And this was top notch. The Nutella pie and tiramisu finished the night. We all really enjoyed the space and the food Will be back!

Yelp
I ordered the halibut and it was very well cooked but lacked flavor. It only came with onions that weren't too citrusy or flavorful either, and there was way too much in proportion to the fish filet itself. I ordered a side of couscous and it was very well cooked, but flavorless as well. I actually can't even explain what it was supposed to taste like. My husband had their signature burger and enjoyed it. The eggplant burrata was my favorite thing and would get again. We got the pannacotta for dessert and I didn't like it. It was very cottage-cheese and I couldn't understand the choice of plate.. it was looking odd and the plate was sucking the dessert dry and it looked messy Also, I hate their menus! Not even laminated. If you are entering the restaurant business and want to be seen as a "nicer" spot and charge more for the experience, I'd expect the menu to at least be laminated.. or have a separate drinks menu, or something. Just totally didn't fit the ambiance of the place

Yelp
Overall experience was amazing Food was good Chicken Alfredo was better then the parmesan pasta chicken dry honestly nasty Bartender Mike was great the other man was miserable acting he was so rude Aug 1st reservation was at eight when we got there table was not ready At that point, we sat at the bar which was fine however we had to go up and Check. About our table no one got us No one came to get us when our table was ready. Pricing wasn't bad I will say it is not large portions It's not like a whole meal or Italian style Over all a spot for a nice date night Just be ready to get a pizza to go home :)

Yelp
Luciano's has a solid location downtown and their space gives date night vibes. The staff were nice and gave some helpful recommendations of the menu. The burger and truffle fries that I had was well cooked and flavorful. A good selection of drinks was available whether you wanted cocktails, beer, or wine. My wife was disappointed in her halibut and our gloopy melty panna cotta for dessert was not up to par. Nearly $40 for a halibut fillet with no sides on a plate of grilled onions. My wife ordered the couscous as a side since the halibut came with none and it was unfortunately bland although cooked well. Overall I'd say Lucianos was too expensive for the experience we had but I would consider giving them another shot sometime

Yelp
Top drawer dining. Eight of us walked in. Our option for seating was the patio or first available. The evening was beautiful so we chose the patio. There was a roof cover over the table, which was nice. The best part was our excellent server, Stokes. He came on loud and confident, and we liked that. He knew everything, and he served us promptly. We started with mussels, unbreaded calamari, the way it should be served, and our entrees were delicious. We had haddock with scallops, haddock with shrimp, the crab cake special, spaghetti with a huge meatball, and ziti with shrimp. For dessert we ordered one of each and passed them around. We liked best the GF carrot cake, vanilla panna cotta, and Zeppoli, Italian donuts. All pieces would serve two. We frequent Akron, and this is now a fav spot. Glad we tried Luciano's. Ask for Stokes.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place. I was so excited to take my 91 yo dad who is from Italy. The parking is tough, but I know the area and am used to it. I had to drop him off and could see no area for handicapped like a ramp or place to sit til I could come back. Our server Stokes was wonderful and attentive. He did a great job of hyping us up on the menu. I ordered the grilled artichokes which was the highlight of my meal. The side salads were very small and had a few interesting items in them, but were not worth $8 imho. The warm salted bread with rosemary butter was great, but never warm. My friend's spaghetti with giant meatball was inedible. All 6 of us agreed. Stokes kindly took it off the bill. My chicken Milanese was enormous. It should have been pounded thinly as the dish implies. The tomatoes were warm, not blistered-no biggie, but I was disappointed. The beurre blanc sauce was great. I subbed truffle fries for pasta and they were tasty. They came with steak sauce which was unusual and didn't fit. I was disappointed bc nothing was fabulous. The atmosphere is lovely. We had a table for 6 in a "private" tiny room section. Based on some other reviews I'd sorta like to try it again, but at $100 with no alcohol or desserts, I'm not sure. They did add the 20% tip themselves bc we had a "large" party which was fine. When I went to pick up my dad, it was even worse as people had blocked the entrance and parked in front of the valet area of which there apparently is none.

Yelp
I was impressed with my dining experience. First, I started with the Wedding soup. Outstanding, full of flavor, and one of the best I have had. Secondly, the Lobster Ravioli was bursting with flavor. The portion was a perfect size. It is hard to find a good dining experience these days. I will be going back. Top notch

Yelp
Other than the parking situation (there is no parking really for this business that we could find) we had a great experience and can't wait to go back to try other dishes! We saw the "cheese Wheel" on tik-tok and came to get this, however when we sat down the table beside us got the whole presentation-so we skipped it! We did however each get a pasta dish and I will say the alfredo sauce was the BEST I have ever had anywhere-including the kind I have been making at home for years. The service was good, waitress was attentive, and the pricing is not excessive for the experience. We will definitely return!

Yelp
Must try. Wow I had no expectations as I was visiting from out of town and this was close to my hotel. I was very impressed by the service, the ambiance and food. The service level at the bar was spot on. I had Chicken Milanese and it was the perfect level of crispy and moist. The pasta and arugula was a good balance. The prices were surprisingly affordable. When I visit Akron next, I will be back.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous! We decided to go on a Saturday sort of last minute but were able to get seats at the bar. Michael and Ryan took great care of us! We started with cocktails, the cucumber & fennel martini and the tequila old fashioned. Pretty good! Then we had the calamari appetizer. A little too spicy for me but my husband loved it. The flavors were really good, just a tad too much spice for me. Then I had the Miss Ginger cocktail, and he had the Jaguar. These cocktails were FABULOUS! For our entrees I had the scallops and couscous (which I cannot even tell you how incredible this was!), and he had the halibut, which I was slightly jealous of. Overall everything was very delicious and we will definitely return!

Yelp
0/10 drinks were terrible, tasted like a mix, steak wasn't cooked as ordered, chicken Milanese was rubbery and the appetizer plates we were given had food on them. Only positive is the decor was pretty but would not recommend at all.

Yelp
I will say we sat on the patio under the pergola and it was attractive, although the fake plants seemed a bit lazy to me. That's where the positivity ends, unfortunately. Our service was slow, took about 2 hours total and we had allotted about 1 1/2 so we were a bit stressed. I probably would have ordered a 3rd drink if we had been served earlier and more frequently. The server did not clear away dishes promptly, leaving us awkwardly sitting in front of dirty dishes for too long. The food was disappointing as well. Our cocktails (tequila old fashioned and another tequila cocktail we can't recall) were totally lackluster / forgettable. We had possibly the most flavorless charcuterie I've ever had, everything just kind of tasted like salt or vinegar, nothing at all piqued my interest. My lobster ravioli was bland, with the pasta past al dente, borderline hard, and the filling somehow dry and flaky. The server specifically said the ravioli had a whole lobster tail in the serving, but there is just no way that's true. No one in my party particularly enjoyed our meal (we ordered the scallops special, duck ravioli, and chicken milanese). All in all, unfortunately this one is a dud and we won't return.

Yelp
I dont know what is with the four stars, I thought this place was amazing. We made reservations cause it's the smart thing to do, makes things easier for everyone. Espresso martini... 10/10 best I've had Zeppoles... 10/10 could have ordered a bazillion of them Everyone liked their meal; Spaghetti with Meatballs, Chicken Milanese, Bolognese, and the Carbonara. Just an fyi though, don't get the Carbonara if you can't have dairy. Doesn't say it on the menu but it does have it. House salad with the meals were great too.

Jeremy F.

Yelp
An absolutely incredible meal from start to finish. The Mushroom Risotto was phenomenal--perfectly cooked and so flavorful. The service from Ryan at the bar was warm and attentive, and Matt another server stop my with the best recommendations. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Ambiance is very nice. Service was very good. Food was good. Sat at the bar and really appreciated how talented and hard working the two behind the bar were at their jobs.

Yelp
The waitress was very friendly but the service was very slow. It took us over 3 hours to have our meal. The food was okay, nothing to brag about. My husband ordered a steak that was supposed to come with mushrooms and onions. Instead, it arrived with gravy on top. I have never heard of a steak with gravy. I wish the waitress had told me my fish came with no sides, perhaps she could have asked me if I wanted to add a side. I asked the waitress about my glass of wine and why it was taking so long, "The bar is backed up." The atmosphere was beautiful. I loved the way it is decorated. I love the area in Akron that the restaurant is located, but I will not be back to Luciano's and I have told my friends I would not recommend.

Glenn R.

Yelp
The staff was outstanding - The drinks creative - The food was terrible - in hundreds of reviews - I have never been this disappointed - we were a party of 5 and sampled most of the menu - the pasta - the sauce - the sauces - the favors bland at best and simply not good. The proteins over cooked dry and lack seasoning. The previous reviewers pics inspired me to visit - I looked again at her review - pics are too staged - must have been a sponsored or vested reviewer - I simply say don't go - there are plenty of Akron restaurants that deserve your business. By the way the Eggplant Parmesan - it's an abomination, so bad that I have to call it out specifically.

Bethany B.

Yelp
The setting is nice with a very beautiful outdoor area. The hostess was on her phone when I walked up but greeted and sat me immediately. It took quite a long time for me to even get a glass of water. When the server finally came she kept referring to me as sweetie pie and cutie. I know some people think this is nice but it's actually rude to a middle aged woman. My glass of wine did not come until after my main course and appetizers. The food is really lack luster for the the price point. Lacked salt and flavor. Potato soup had almost no flavor or texture and the lobster ravioli was watery and bland. Unfortunately a lot of room for improvement.

Kelly D.

Yelp
Are you a foodie? You have to try this restaurant but most importantly you have to ask for Matt as your server! Wow!!! The food was great. A solid 9. Add Matt as your server and it's a solid 20 out of 10. I got the spinach salad -fantastic! My husband got the vodka pasta with chicken and he Loved it!
google avatar

Jim S.

Yelp
We've seen a few reviews here which gave us pause but those reviews are absolutely wrong! We had an amazing server named Matthew who was friendly and knowledgeable. We felt well taken care of and he chose a wine to go with all of our meals. The food was fantastic! There were 6 of us who all got different dinners and everyone raved about their meals. They were so accommodating as we mixed and matched items on the menu to create what we loved. Finally dessert. We shared the deconstructed cannoli and zappoles. They were delicious! This place has great atmosphere, excellent service and out of this world food for a great price too!

Anthony T.

Yelp
Absolutely the best service from Ryan at the bar, I wouldn't want to sit anywhere else in the restaurant. He makes my experience a 5-star experience every time. He also makes the best drinks. The atmosphere and the staff are top notch. If you haven't been yet.. what are you waiting for!
google avatar

Eric E.

Yelp
Food was disappointing. The Alfredo was dry the calamari was chewy, the muscles were salty, the carbonara was eh. The nutty professor was delicious, the tiramisu martini was delicious. The halibut was overcooked. The eggplant parmesan had plenty of pasta had plenty of pasta but was skimpy on the eggplant. The carrot cake and tiramisu was delicious. The service was slow, as my party was there for 2.5 hours for our meal. I appreciate that the place is full of windows as i appreciate and enjoy being in Akron but enjoy the setting more than the Ambiance created by anything inside the restaurant. The inside of the restaurant looks like little has changed since it was DBA.

Jamie E.

Yelp
Incredible!!! I have been raving to my friends and family since I had dinner at Luciano's, and I know they won't be disappointed when they visit. From the moment you walk in, the warm decor and friendly staff give the best greeting. I started with the Tiramisu Martini (because why not?!?!), and it was one of the BEST drinks I've ever had. From there, it was Chicken Milanese, which was absolute perfection and then the Nutella Pie for dessert. For chocolate lovers out there, you need to visit Luciano's for that dessert alone! The chef and one of the bartenders made a quick stop to check on us, and our server Matthew was the absolute best. He set the tone for an elevated dining experience that I will never forget. I already have my mind set on the menu items I need to try for my next visit!!

Emily R.

Yelp
Our server Seth was great, cocktails were great, salads were great, meatball was ok. My husband loved his bolognese (although he thought portion was small) but my chicken milanese, not so much. Chicken was dry, pasta was very dry, like both were over-baked. We expected more.

Mark M.

Yelp
Fantastic cocktail program and 5 star food! Staff is fantastic! Beautiful new interior! A must!

Bella K.

Yelp
The place looks really nice and we were greeted pretty quickly. We sat in the front room by the window. It was warm but they adjusted air and it was much better. The waiter was good and attentive. We. Ordered appetizers first. Mussels Italian sauce as one of 3 choices . It was spicy and good but the mussels were small and not very meaty. It took a lot to pull them out of shell. Bread it came with was delicious. We also, ordered the meatball. It was 1 meatball (large) . It was ok. Tough and missing some flavor. Simple adding of a little salt would have been nice. None on table by the way. Dinner was ok too. My husband orders linguini carbonara he said was excellent. I tasted it too and would have to agree. I ordered parpadelle with their marinara sauce. The pasta home made and was good but I was very disappointed in the sauce because the "marinara" was spicy and it didn't say that on menu . Intent but honestly it was spicy and again needed some salt for flavor in the pasta. I would have ordered a soup but then"pasties soup" had orzo not pastina so that was a little odd. We ordered the zeppoles for desert. We got at least 10 small donuts, not very tasty which on the menu said Nutella and chocolate sauce. But the sauces had raspberry sauce in it and we did not like it. If not mistaken it was not listed on the menu. Server never asked if we wanted coffee. This place was ok not our favorite. This is just my opinion so try for yourself.

Carol C.

Yelp
The food was delectable and the service was excellent!!! The atmosphere was classy and intimate! The staff was friendly and took their time and you never felt rushed! A great place for a first date or a night out with friends. I had the Classic Flatbread, it was delicious and I could only eat half. The Tiramisu Martini was extraordinary, such a fun luscious drink! Our server, Matthew, was a delight and he made the experience even more enjoyable. He suggested the Nutella pie for dessert and it is truly a must try when dining there, yummy!
