I take 146 mile drive down to visit my brother who lives in Broward County. Our favorite breakfast place is Lucille‘s American Café. Now that we’re both retired we get to enjoy more quality time at Lucille‘s catching up. Love the food the staff are amazingand they always follow up with an endless cup of coffee.

I loved the place. The service was great. They gave us a choice of sitting inside or outside, we chose inside because it was so nice and cool. The menu had so many great choices it was hard to choose. I picked the hot honey chicken sandwich. OMG 😲 it was the most amazing thing I've ever put in my mouth. It was topped with coleslaw. I picked the sweet potato fries with it and they were amazing as well. It was so big I brought half home. I re heated the it that night and enjoyed it again. I will definitely be back. I wish it was close to my home in punta gorda. Please consider placing a location there.

This is a beautifully decorated diner with the 1940’s vibe all around. The service was excellent. Beth was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. It was our first time here and we enjoyed it very much. They have $5 mimosas, but we opted for coffee. My husband ordered the Country Scramble skillet and I had the 2/2/2 Special- two eggs, two sausages or bacon and 2 pancakes or French toast. Large portions, promptly served and most of all delicious! We will definitely come back for lunch or dinner soon. Come to Lucille’s. You will thank me later. Note: Lucille’s serves breakfast only on weekends when they open at 10 am.

Our family has been enjoying dining & taking out from this Weston institution for over a quarter century! Whether you’re in the mood for comfort food, salads, healthy choices or just a great dessert or shake….Everything on the menu is great! Affordable prices, huge portions, and so many great dishes that deciding what to order can be a challenge! Rumour has it they’ll be closing soon🙁. I’ve had their Mac and cheese many times, and it is amazing but the last time I ordered it and had it delivered, the Mac and cheese tasted burnt. We complained and they sent us a gift card. Ordered it again tonight and I got elbow noodles with a clump of cheddar cheese on it. I thought maybe the person that took my order thought I meant a different Mac and cheese but they don’t have any other on the menu. Not cool.

Weston, FL. Awesome diner vibe! Susan served us very well, checked on us and made great recommendations for dishes. The chicken pot pie, cherry pie, and Greek salad had good homemade flavor. My husband added salt to the pot pie and he said the chicken was long and strings of it got stuck between his teeth. Also the carrot pieces were large and retained more heat than the rest of the dish so he said be careful it might burn my tongue. I didn’t care, I finished the rest of his pot pie. The tables out back overlook the lake and have a bright ambiance. Inside it’s like a New York diner with dark booths, homey decor and 60s hits playing in the background.

Lucille's American Cafe - A Standout Burger Experience! I recently ordered a Black Angus Burger for pickup from Lucille's American Cafe, and I was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. My food was ready right on time, which is always a great start. The burger itself was fantastic. I appreciated the quality ingredients, especially the real cheddar cheese and the crisp red onion. Lucille's truly stands out with the sheer number of customization options available for their burgers – it's clear they want you to get exactly what you're craving. My burger was cooked to a perfect medium, just as I like it. I chose fries as my side, and I was honestly a little overwhelmed (in a good way!) by the extensive list of other side options. There's definitely something for everyone. The pickup process was easy, and the staff were incredibly friendly and eager to help. If you're looking for a delicious, customizable burger with excellent service, Lucille's American Cafe is definitely worth a visit!

4.5 food but service makes this rounded up to 5 stars. I've never heard of this place but I was in the area and hungry and decided to check it out. I'm glad it had good reviews because it drew me in and I'm glad I visited. When we visited it was pretty quiet but seemed like it was ready to handle a lot more people. I got a wedge salad and a half club and I'm glad I did. As a fatty who loves food, I considered getting the wedge salad and a full club and getting some to go, but I'm glad I didnt. Both were filling and both were great. The wedge was almost like a desert version of a salad. The dressing was awesome, and smothered in blue cheese and bacon. Salads sound healthy, but me and my cholesterol both knew this wasn't. But I ordered it and loved it, I'm not mad at the nutrition. The Club was great! It was lunchmeat but sliced thicker than you'd get from most delis or anywhere else actually. It wasn't reinventing the wheel but it was nothing short of a great experience either. Their menu is HUGE, I bounced around from a turkey dinner, to meatloaf, to soups but honestly I loved the club and wedge salad and likely would order it again. Cured my hunger and more, and when I'm back in the area I'll definitely stop in again.

The atmosphere is fine, sort of a classic throwback feel to it. Service was ok, even though they did forget to get us a few things. We got the burger and a buffalo chicken sandwich. The burger was average and thats ok. I wasn't expecting the best burger Ive ever had. It just needed to be an average burger...and it was. The buffalo chicken is super salty! I am not sure what is happening there but it was almost too much to eat. It has a nice expansive menu, and they have homemade chips which are delicious. The homemade ketchup was not for me, a bit too much tomato flavor but some will like it for sure. I would go again and try something else but I wouldnt go out of my way to do it.

My family loves going to Lucille's in Weston. Their soups are delicious and their food is great. We have never been disappointed in the food or the service. Also my kids really enjoy going to feed the turtles outside, just make sure you bring some quarters.

First thing first the Decor love the way they did it old school Dinner Old pic on the wall it's just lovely. food I had the cheeseburger and Onion Rings just perfect not greasy at all great quality Onions rings same event tho they don't look like house made there were great my wife had chicken salad wish was very fresh overall great experience food wise service great they came to the table and ask multiple times how were doing will recommend this place for sure

The food and drinks were amazing the service and staff and so clean. The outside area is beautiful. Kids menus and lots of running space. Cooked to perfection. Highly recommend

Lucille's has an old time diner vibe to it and feels like home. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Didn't wait long for our table and the service was very quick! I got the tomato blue cheese soup which I forgot to take a picture of but if you're a blue cheese fan, I highly recommend it! It's so tasty. Also had mahi Rachel sandwich which had mahi, coleslaw, Russian dressing, and Swiss cheese on it. Like a Reuben sandwich but with mahi instead. It was delicious and a large portion! I will definitely be back.

UPDATE: In the mood for the legendary Lucille Sandwich - oven roast sliced turkey with coleslaw, swiss cheese, and russian dressing on grilled rye bread - $13.99...This sandwich with a side of fries made me very happy especially right before a movie. The waitress, Alejandra, was super nice and the food came out hot in about eight minutes. The owner, Beth, checked up on us. The Bathroom was supplied and pleasantly clean too. Updated to a five star review.

Friendly service and great atmosphere. Brunch was delicious!! I didn't know what to choose . Eggs Benedict were delicious. French toast was delicious. One of my new favorite places !

Comfort food in Weston. This is a good place to eat if you want a simple BLT, hamburger or meatloaf. Today I was excited to order the Legendary Lucille Sandwich $14.00 that my hubby ordered in the past and loved it. Been here a few times and the staff seems happy and friendly. The owner said hello to me and my hubby which was nice.

I had the pot pie, which the waitress said was their best seller. The chicken was so chewy (like chewing gum). The carrots and potatoes were rather hard and the pie itself did not have much flavor. I told the waitress and she said she would let the cook know. She did not offer a replacement or anything. Needless to say, I could not eat it. I only gave 2 stars because I had the pancakes a couple days ago and they were good.

Good local restaurant with homey meals. Great service. Many regulars eat here. Large selection of big salads, daily lunch and dinner specials.

Got a double whammy for this review! Went back Sunday and had another great meal. This time was the steak salad and it was great. Also, at their Winter Haven location we had a great lunch and breakfast back in August. We actually booked a reservation for a farewell breakfast the morning after our daughter's wedding. A GREAT TIME all the way around! Keep it up!

Food was good the atmosphere was very nice- we sat outside and the kids fed the turtles and catfish. The birds were chirping and it was a beautiful day. The Wedge salad was delicious, the breakfast tacos were delicious- the breakfast burger was delicious too-the kids had cheeseburgers and chicken tenders- good servings. Everything reasonably priced. A bit of a wait- to be expected on Sunday after church crowd.

Lucille, whoever you are, you are amazing. What a great place, nachos were fantastic and the Mahi Rachel sandwich was exquisite. Mahi was fresh and moist, sauce was flavorful and the rye bread with caraway seeds was perfectly toasted. Onion rings were amazing, overall a great meal. This is a nice, clean, diner style restaurant in a beautiful location. We will definitely stop again.

I had a couple of not-so-great experiences in a row some years ago and vowed never to go back. But I was meeting some friends for dinner and they suggested it, so I somewhat grudgingly went along. The experience this time was fine, the waitress was pleasant and service was maybe a little slow but good enough. But here's the thing that still gets me: this is a "classic American diner" which is okay, and the restaurant looks the part. But the food is very meat-centric. Not many vegetarian options. And the prices are perhaps a little high.... Everything that came out looked fresh, and my companions said they liked it. I ordered a salad and it was fine. It was a decent size and tasted good. But it was nothing to write home about. I just can't get over the past experiences, and there was nothing this time that I felt would make me want to come back. So I probably won't.

Phenomenal comfort food. Great service. Super ambiance. We can for an early dinner on Saturday at 4:30. We will definitely be back. We had the tomato blue cheese soup & a cup of chili. Then we had the 3 cheese Mac n cheese & the meatloaf dinner with mashed & green beans. American comfort food at its finest. Sooooo darn good!!!

Wow!! First time here and will definitely be back. Simple diner food with delicious flavors. We started with the Beer Cheese Soup which was divine. We had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and the Cici Melt which were both delicious. I upgraded to onion rings and they were possibly the best onion rings that I've ever had. The batter didn't break apart and they were perfectly cooked. I ordered their homemade Honey BBQ sauce which was good. My grandson had the chicken tenders with homemade applesauce which was out of this world. To end the meal we shared the carrot cake which was also delicious. It's served warm and drizzled with caramel sauce. Our server was friendly and I can't wait to come back to try some of the other items on the menu.

Great food great service very clean restaurant definitely recommend it to anyone who wants taste of the old fashioned diners from the 60s and 70s

As soon as we walked in we were greeted and taken to a table. There were several families but they have a good amount of space and tables. Even tables outside of you'd like to sit by the lake. We ordered split pea soup with him and it was delicious! The day was cold so that was perfect for the day. I had the California chicken sandwich but I gave my avocados to my husband who had a cheeseburger. Everything was delicious and the food came quick. I definitely will be back to try more from their menu. Don't sleep on this place it is great food!! We didn't have room for the bread pudding dessert. Maybe next time!

First of all it is lovely to be greeted with a genuine smile. Dylan sat us outside on the waterfront deck and it was very nice and not too warm. I asked him what his favorites were and then he went through each category. He listed the top 3 hot sandwiches, salads, entrees and starters. Tj was our server. I asked him his favorite and he said the California chicken club. I chose the chicken pot pie... oh my goodness there has to be a half of a chicken in this pie. I could not eat it all but I will be finishing it tonight. This was not store bought it was homemade! My husband got a side salad with the oregano dressing which was homemade and delicious. He also got a half of a tuna salad sanwich. The tuna was tasty as well. While we waited maybe 10 minutes for our food I fed the turtles and catfish. I didn't have any quarters so I asked Tj to add a dollar on our tab. We were so full but we decided to get a piece of carrot cake to go. It was amazing as well!! At the end of our visit Tj said since this is your first time let me pay for that carrot cake for you. Amazing!! The carrot cake we tasted before we left it was delicious! Tj brought us our check and said if you come back (we are on Thursday) you have to try the bread pudding. This place was full of locals and I can see why!!

Has a relaxing covered outdoor patio on the water. I enjoy their California chicken sandwich and salad. Although sometimes the side portions could be more generous. At my last visit on 2pm on a Saturday, it wasn't too crowded. My friend ordered a Cobb salad without bacon, it came with bacon, it took a while to fix the issue but otherwise the service was good. They didn't rush us, this is a nice spot to relax with some food and chat with friends. The parking lot can get crowded.

Not sure what all the fuss is about walked in the restaurant was empty. Got sat down waited about 15 minutes didn't even get greeted at the table so we walked out. And when somewhere else. From the other reviews looks like it might be a great place. Maybe we'll try it again someday but really really bad service.

The menu is filled with down home comfort foods as well as delicious salads, burgers and sandwiches. It is decorated as you wold expect with tables and chairs and booths all around. If you want some fresh air as you indulge on their fantastic food, they have terrace seating near the waterfront. Nico, the server, was very attentive and gave us shoo-in what to get. I had the meatloaf and it was fantastic. My wife had the chicken Madeira and my daughter had the macadamia chicken. Everything was great.

Absolutely no complaints here! Huge menu, reasonable prices, giant portions, and wonderful outdoor seating on the canal ~ I felt like I was transported back in time. Really appreciated a relaxing lunch that fit the bill!

Lucille's America Cafe always makes for a nice afternoon lunch on the waterway. This used to be my weekly lunch spot with coworkers when I worked in Weston 15 years ago. It's still the same quality and friendly service. It has an upscale diner look but the staff is professional and friendly. They offer multiple options to ensure that you have an enjoyable meal. The waitstaff is exceptional.

Heard great things about this place so decided to give it a try! Was not disappointed in the least bit. Place is super cute, service is friendly and food was on point. I'm sick and wanted a spot with some good soup. I got the chicken noodle and the baked potato. Both were equally good but the chicken noodle really hit the spot! For dinner we got the fried chicken salad and BLT. We got to go, I wish the bread on my BLT was crispier but everything else was great. Mine same with a side I chose broccoli but it was very undercooked I would of liked it less Aldente that is just my preference! My husband couldn't stop talking about how good the salad was!! Love that you get complimentary muffins... they went perfectly with our blueberry pie. OMG so good!! Can't wait to order more yummy things from this place!!

Lucille's American Cafe was opened in 1999 in the Waterway Shoppe in Weston, by owners Beth and Paul Nunez who wanted to create a restaurant with a comfort food menu made from scratch with locally sourced ingredients. They also have an inventive cocktail menu made with fresh ingredients. Lucille's business philosophy is "Good food, good service, friendly service, comfort with a smile." This past summer they expanded to a second location in Winter Haven Florida. I love the 1940's theme of the restaurant. It has a very vintage look with dark wood, black and white checkered tile floor, Formica tables, and black and white photos on the walls. As nice as it is on the inside, I like to dine outside where you can take in the view of the lake and watch the birds, fish, and turtles. I came to Lucille's for lunch and they have a large menu featuring appetizers, salads, soup, blue plate specials, hot and cold sandwiches, platters, low calorie selections, and milk shakes, floats, and malts. Lucille's Original Crispy Chicken Salad looked tempting and they are famous for their roast turkey dinner but I ended up ordering The Lucille Sandwich made with oven roasted turkey, coleslaw, swiss cheese, and Russian dressing on grilled rye. It came with a side of fries. It was exactly what I was craving. The waitress was very attentive and kept my sweet tea refills pouring, I really enjoyed my visit and the next time I find myself in west Broward, I will be stopping by for that salad,

Disappoined Again! Cooking and presentation has gone down hill. First went to Lucille's over 20 years. We loved everything and rated very high. However,the last 3 times the food has just not been the same. Today, I had a Breakfast Burrito with Chili. First noticed the small portion of Chili on top was dry like it sat under a heat lamp and dried! Then the most homestyle potatoes were severely burned. The "Spinach Tortilla" was hard and believe it or not the chili was tasteless To me...thats 3 strikes. PS...The lady that sat us spoke to me in Spanish, I don't speak Spanish! Sorry Lucille's, owners need to get more involved.

The food and service was really good went last friday for a meatloaf special for lunch it was really good definitely recommend it

I'm surprised that I haven't reviewed Lucille's before. From 2018-2019 through 17 hospitalizations for my mom at Cleveland Clinic, I picked up food dozens of times. Each time was fantastic! Yesterday after taking my parents to Cleveland Clinic for doctor appointments, we went for lunch. Again, fantastic! I had a turkey club with some of their great fries. Go if you can!

What a cute place. You step back into a time warp with great service, ice people and tasty comfort food. I had the turkey burger and my mom had the patty melt. Very generous portions so you are not hungry. Do save room for dessert though as they looked yummy. I will be back for more tasty treats.

Just wow. The food, the staff, the ambiance. Brothers and I went here by chance. Gabby our waitress, super nice. Patrick our host...awesome Then ... The Food. I had the tomato blue cheese soup and blackened chicken and Brie sandwich. My brothers had the pulled pork stuffed taters with a side of chilli, the other had their "Hangover" a pulled pork sandwich with bacon jam, sautéed onions and 2 types of cheese on toasted rye and sweet tater fries. Be sure to try the house made ketchup and the marshmallow sauce! Absolutely wonderful. Simple food done RIGHT

Terrible flow tonight and the manager didn't make us feel valued as customers. We had a nice meal there a year ago so popped in tonight . The wait staff was very nice and polite. We were offered and decided we wanted our onion rings first but they arrived LAST and were cold. Our table had multiple items ( x5) wrongly delivered throughout our wait. A second round of drinks appeared ( that we never ordered) so they were whisked away ! Eventually an average burger and average Mac &Cheese arrived. We asked about the anticipated onion rings and the staff asked "do you still want them ". The rings arrived a bit later and were cold. We did speak to the manager Claudia and had a little trouble understanding her but she seemed to say " sorry you feel that way- wait staff is new". We thought she said she was going to adjust the bill. Her body language and tone didn't sound apologetic. There was NO communication to the staff so the bill was not discounted. We felt weird asking but the staff tracked her down and we eventually got a discount. Overall , we will not EVER go back . There are too many similar restaurants that appear to value the customer more.

We stopped here on a yelp recommendation and loved the food and service. The waiter (Luis) was great and the food was amazing. I recommend the bread pudding it was truly devine. Thank you for having us! We hope to return again someday! Your customers from Ohio.

There isn't really anything wrong with the food although it's not the best. The service was good and very quick. I ordered a patty melt that was supposed to be medium but came out medium rare, so I had to send it back.

I've been going to Lucille's for years. Having been there more times than I can count, I can say I've never left disappointed by any means. Whether it's been lunch or dinner, I've always enjoyed my meal and my experience. All the front of the house staff and the managers seem to care. It's nice to see them helping each other out regularly. From their appetizers, salads, soups, sandwiches and delicious burgers to their blue plate specials and entrees, they've all been either good or great. If you can save room afterwards, the desserts are awesome too. I highly recommend giving Lucille's a try... the service is great, they have something for just about everyone and you'll definitely leave happy and full!

Ate here twice this week while visiting a relative at the hospital nearby. First time I had a Blt sandwich which was full of crispy bacon, lettuce and tomato on white toast. It came with delicious French fries. The second time I came was a Monday so they had a $6 burger special. I asked for a cheeseburger medium and it came out perfect - just pink enough. The fries again were excellent. Both times we took a black and white milkshake to go to the hospital and that was guzzled down fast also! The place is clean, cheerful and super busy. The waitresses were super helpful and pleasant. Will visit again when I'm in town.

Once again Lucille's has proven to be the best option for dining in Weston/Sunrise area. After a long day I ordered dinner delivered for my family and everyone was so happy with the food. The food was hot and fresh, delivered sooner than promised. Don't forget to order dessert, the carrot cake is just like homemade with caramel sauce you won't be disappointed.

We stopped in there for a late lunch after an appointment in Cleveland Clinic. This is not our first time there. Their lunch menu is amazing, and their meatloaf melt was all my husband could rave about. I have never had a bad meal there. Our server was TJ who was attentive and Joseph was wonderful. I can't say enough about the food, the service and the atmosphere. It's like stepping back into an old-fashioned diner. If you haven't been there before. It's time to check it out.

We absolutely love Lucille's! The service is fantastic- every single time we have a welcoming, friendly and accommodating server making our experience delightful. The food is also consistently very fresh and delicious.

What a pleasant experience. 1st time here and we were happly impressed with the best scrambled eggs with cheese we ever had. The potatoe soup was very yummy as well. Service was friendly and excellent. Looking forward to going back to try their home made meatloaf and to try their chicken pot pie. Oh and when you are done eating, they have an outdoor patio on a lake where you can feed the turtles and fish. 25 cents will provide you a handful of fish food from the dispenser. Definitely recommend !
