Lucille's American Cafe

This is a beautifully decorated diner with the 1940’s vibe all around. The service was excellent. Beth was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. It was our first time here and we enjoyed it very much. They have $5 mimosas, but we opted for coffee. My husband ordered the Country Scramble skillet and I had the 2/2/2 Special- two eggs, two sausages or bacon and 2 pancakes or French toast. Large portions, promptly served and most of all delicious! We will definitely come back for lunch or dinner soon. Come to Lucille’s. You will thank me later. Note: Lucille’s serves breakfast only on weekends when they open at 10 am.

I loved the place. The service was great. They gave us a choice of sitting inside or outside, we chose inside because it was so nice and cool. The menu had so many great choices it was hard to choose. I picked the hot honey chicken sandwich. OMG 😲 it was the most amazing thing I've ever put in my mouth. It was topped with coleslaw. I picked the sweet potato fries with it and they were amazing as well. It was so big I brought half home. I re heated the it that night and enjoyed it again. I will definitely be back. I wish it was close to my home in punta gorda. Please consider placing a location there.

I’ve had their Mac and cheese many times, and it is amazing but the last time I ordered it and had it delivered, the Mac and cheese tasted burnt. We complained and they sent us a gift card. Ordered it again tonight and I got elbow noodles with a clump of cheddar cheese on it. I thought maybe the person that took my order thought I meant a different Mac and cheese but they don’t have any other on the menu. Not cool.

Nice place with old fashioned atmosphere. Good food and friendly staff. Easy free parking across the restaurant. Go there.

One of the best local places west of Ft. Lauderdale. If you’re looking for a homemade lunch or dinner this is the place. Great - Friendly staff, very clean, comfortable - all around great diner! They even play music from the 50’s. I live nearby, never had a bad experience and everything on the menu is delicious! The meatloaf!!! The tomato blue soup!!! The steakhouse salad!! All the dinners!! All the sandwiches and burgers!!! And the excellent desserts!! All fresh and made to order. You won’t be disappointed.

We have been coming here for 20 years! Bit dont live locally so the other day was the first time I took my 3 kids to where their Dad and I used to have e dates in highschool. :) They LOVED it! Sit outside and feed the turtles (bring quarters). It made for such a nice relaxing dinner.

Ate here on a Wednesday night. Frankly, I had low expectations, since in my experience many diner-style restaurants serve low quality food. Not Lucille’s. I was blown away by how good the turkey dinner was. The turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing were delicious. Really. Even the vegetables were fresh-cut vegetables and not frozen vegetables that were reheated. Our server, Alejandra, was attentive and friendly as well. They do things the right way at Lucille’s, and I highly recommend giving them a shot.
