Lucille's Laval

Had such a great dinner at Lucille’s Laval! We started with oysters and the bang bang shrimp, both were delicious. The oysters were super fresh, and the bang bang shrimp was perfectly crispy with the best sauce (definitely a must-order). I got the lobster roll and it was good, lots of lobster. My whiskey sour was really well made. Overall just a great vibe, good service, and amazing seafood. We’ll definitely be back!

Subject: Formal Complaint – Steak Served Undercooked (Well-Done Ordered) To Management, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding my recent visit to your Laval location. I specifically ordered my steak well done, yet it was served clearly undercooked, with a very pink interior (photo attached). This is not a matter of preference — the steak was objectively not cooked to the level requested. Employee was very understanding, he agreed that it’s not well done, he offered to take it back & bring a new plate with a well done steak. He brought back the same plate with same steak but this time they burned the two sides. So a supervisor came after he discovered that the kitchen served back same steak. He apologized offered another free plate but I refused I was upset & couldn’t eat anymore. For a restaurant of your reputation and pricing, this level of inaccuracy is unacceptable. Cooking a steak to the requested temperature is a basic expectation, especially when the order was clearly stated twice. Serving an undercooked steak after requesting well-done shows a lack of attention to detail and quality control. This experience was extremely disappointing and did not meet the standards I expected from your establishment. That was the 5th time we go to Lucille Laval & the last time.

I was looking forward to bringing my fiancé to this restaurant we stayed with friends a year ago. Unfortunately, the food didn’t come as ordered (porc, not spicy, etc). The waitress was very polite and friendly, but the floor manager was a mockery. Mocking us despite proof of photos/videos of the food, and offering tea instead of providing quality service. I guess they’re in for a quick buck versus building a customer base, at least with this floor manager… anyways highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere where you’ll feel properly welcomed.

Lucille’s was a good experience. Although the tables are too close to each other in the middle with less room to walk around and that might be a little uncomfortable for some people. The food was good, the oysters are a great deal (the onions vinaigrette is a solid 10/10), the half octopus and sea bass were also well cooked and delicious. Waitress was attentive and friendly.

I went here for the third time with my girlfriend and her sister on my Birthday this past Thursday. Mike was our server and he was truly amazing. Fast service, very attentive and made us feel super comfortable. This was my third time and while each time prior was great, this was definitely by far the best experience I've had there. The food recommendations were great and our meal was lovely. I will definitely be coming back, hopefully we get Mike again next time!

Worth visiting. The food is good and well presented. Beef tartar appetizer is very well done. Half octopus salad looked delicious. The octopus was well cooked but the salad had too much dressing. Pasta with seafood was delicious but the portion rather small.

Food and atmosphere was good. Great drinks. Will definitely return and recommend.

Great service, great entries like the bang bang shrimp and crab dip. But my ribeye....over cooked and tough. Did not enjoy my meal.

Came here with coworkers Ambiance : very nice and welcoming love the decor Food : very good portion sizes went down though I always use to go to the one on St Catherine but they closed that location and after Covid however the quality and portions slanted slightly We had to push the waiter to get us a tomahawk steak as they didn't want to cook it at lunch time that was a bit exhausting ... however they agreed and gratefully so we had some nice tomahawk piece for everyone. veggies were delish salad was under dressed Service was top notch they really were attentive and took care of us the whole time Overall, it's ok and still a nice place to gather however the food could use some improvements

I used to like this place but this time around when I went I was very disappointed. The only thing that was good about this place was the service. The place was packed and very hot which was really hard to stay there, we left as soon as we finished 'our food', we didn't even think about getting a second drink. The calamari looked like they were frozen and the waitress confirmed to us that they were frozen. My friend got the salmon and he said it wasn't worth the price because it wasn't anything wow I got the lobster roll but was so disappointed, the filling didn't have any flavours and I felt like the bread was a hot dog soggy ban. I seriously don't know if I will go back. The prices were not met for the quality of the food I find, there's so many other restaurants that have better food for better prices

Been going to Lucille's for over 7 years .. I always use to go to brasserie Lucille's on St Catherine st. I found the service / quality and food was amazing and always left there satisfied and full! Unfortunately, they closed down pre-covid so it was so sad to see it close!! We found the St catherine way better than Monkland .. so we finally decided to give Laval a try because it was on our bucket list ! We had such an amazing impression in general.. I guess it's the worst thing to do! Reservation was super easy to make over the phone and it was super friendly but that's where it stopped. As we got in at 4:55, the hostess told us to leave Because they were still closed and couldn't seat us until exactly 5pm what the heck??! Ok rude much they seriously told us to leave and wait outside for 5 minutes It was 5pm and they finally sat us in ... -.- Adam Our waiter had a serious attitude problem!!! He was talking down to one of us because they didn't have the beer we liked. He was so rude!! After we started conversing and he jumped in and yelled at us : " Do you want me to explain the menu to you OR NOT!!?" Geeez calm down We ordered our menu and he didn't write it down so I asked him you're sure you won't forget our order it's pretty complicated.. he's like no don't worry I got it Oki doki... Our food comes out they got the wrong salad in and I was trying to tell him it's not the right one .. he gave me so much attitude wow dude what the hell should of write it down before you start assuming we're at fault! Anyways whatever... Food: Sub Par it wenT DOWNHILLLLL Back in the day, you got the meal with fries & salad .. now you get fries or salad not both so CHEAP! Price skyrocketed but the food portion size cut down immensely I ordered the cauliflower dish.. back in the day you got the Full head roasted in the oven it was so delicious it was a meal on it's own! And for 20$ .....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I got was 4 soggy little cauliflower florets SOAKED in oil with like 2-3 shavings of fresh cauli and a big bunch of arugula :S ewww WHAT THE HELLLLL :O It was sooooo depressing man I wanted to cry! My dish was DRENCHED In OIL It was grossss!! My salad was drenched in DRESSING.. the croutons were so soggy !! The Steaks (NY Strip/ rib steak) one of them was overcooked dry and we asked for medium/rare and it was extremely bland no seasoning.. steaks at like 60-70$ ... you expect better quality ! the fries were hard like a rock .. my dad had the lobster roll dish.. he liked it I guess their signature dish is still a good option :/ but if you're not into seafood .. well you're kinda screwed Overall, extremely disappointing and I despise giving out bad reviews especially after the pandemic it's not easy but it was such a horrible experience for us and felt like we were scammed ... portions got extremely smaller and the service just went downhill beyond belief .. like I felt cheated not going to lie :/ Overall don't think I'll come back here ever again unless there's a serious change in their service and menu portion size like I'm use to!! Sorry :(

Ever since Lucille's added a location in Laval it has easily become one of my go to places for seafood. Oyster's definitely are one of my favourite things to eat and Lucille's offers delicious oysters at the best price in Montreal and surrounding areas. They do not skip on quality here! When you look at a menu and want a little bit of everything we'll then take a look at the seafood towers and get your hands on shrimp, oysters crab and lobster. A really good meal that will always hit the spot

Ça faisait longtemps que je voulais essayer le Lucille, surtout pour les fruits de mer. Nous avons réservé une table le jour même. Bien contente de pas avoir eu à planifier trop à l'avance. En entrée nous avons partagé un plateau de petites huîtres à 1$ chacune et aussi un demi crabe des neiges. C'était délicieux, on a été tentées de reprendre un crabe tellement c'était goûteux. Après nous avons partagé le saumon sur la plaque de bois. Très bien cuit, vraiment bon. La salade qui accompagnait le plat était vraiment bien assaisonnée aussi. Nous avons également essayé les légumes grillés et j'ai beaucoup aimé le mélange: poivrons, courge, fenouil. Très bien cuit, croustillant et bien assaisonné. Le vin était aussi très bon. Une expérience que je renouvellerai sans hésiter!

Went as a family, kids' burgermenu more pricier than other places with no drinks, but portions were good. Tried also the fried chicken appetizer and raw oyster (1$ each, small size). Had the piri piri bbq lobster and the surf and turf (lobster roll + ribs). The lobster roll was well made, not full of mayo sauce and big pieces of lobster.

Food OK. Portions too small. Price, way overpriced. It becomes a concern when inflation is the go to excuse for price gouging. Menu keeps increasing at a pace well beyond inflation. Consider the Keg or Milestones next door (Fairview Pointe-Claire) as alternatives. Better value.

Honestly, the food at Lucille's is good, but it is so expensive and the portions are so small that when I want a fancy dinner I think of dozens of other places where I can get better food, bigger portions, and a better atmosphere for the same price tag. Especially with their location in Laval, it is close to many other dining options that are far superior in my opinion. So overall, I guess that nothing was specifically bad about my visit to Lucille's. The food was good. But, I left hungry and thinking that I may have been better off going elsewhere.

This is such a great place. The quality of food is top notch. The service was also excellent. We were easily able to make a reservation and we were promptly seated. The waitress and bar staff are quick and everything came out quickly. The place itself has a great atmosphere and they can accommodate large groups easily.

Do not order the seared tuna. Everything else is good. 1st i received an almost fully cooked tuna, then I received a cold tuna steak that was well seared but definitely not at room temperature. Then as I cut into the tuna steak, i cut through tendon and nerve. The chef does not know how to properly cut a tuna steak. The manager was good and he offered us our drinks and the waitress was also awesome. I just don't want tuna lovers to be disappointed. My wife ordered the salmon and she loved it.

Wonderful!! That is the word I choose to describe this fabulous restaurant. From the friendly staff at the door and wait staff to the yummy seafood. It was finally my first time I have wanted to go since the Montreal location.

I fell in love with Lucille's after this meal, June 2021 to be exact. I'm a huge fan of seafood and the octopus plate is by far one of the best octopus I've eaten. It comes as a close second to a nice little restaurent in Portugal. The salad that compliments this plate is perfect, not too creamy, and light enough to not fill you up after the octopus. This is only the HALF portion, which is more than enough for one! Prices are very reasonable for the delicious quality (and quantity) of food you receive! I love their $1 oysters too!! (I'm not super picky when it comes to oysters so these hit the spot for me!). I love the ambiance of the place too, music, modern decor, and fun vibe. Staff is super friendly and the alcohol is worth the money! (My go-to drink is a litchi martini, but opted for a dirty this time around. The litchi martini's here are delicious!) This has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants! A must visit if you're in the area!

We were forced to bring our dog to the veterinary hospital in Laval. Worried about Covid we checked in to our hotel room and ordered Uber Eats. Lucilles was such a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious and beyond our expectations. Lobster rolls and fries, fish tacos, lobster Mac and cheese and Nutella gnocchi. I wish we had take. Pictures but we hadn't eaten all day so it went to fast. Highly recommend this place! Take out was just as good.

Dinner for 2...ok..quick dinner for 2. Walked in just after 9 and we were done at 10. Bravo (not sarcastic). If you go you should make reservations because this place is hopping!! Going a bit later and only 2 we were seated right away. Ordered the 1$ oyster the lobster roll main and a ceasar salad. The oysters are nicely served and well worth the 1$ each. Everything else was ok, the lobster roll was a little disappointing at the price we paid. Ceasar salad was a good size and tasty, it was advertised with Anchovies but I didn't find any :(. We also ordered 2 cocktails but could barely taste any alcohol, mostly fruit juices. Regardless of the OK food and drink experience I liked the vibe of the place and the quick and courteous service.

"Geoffrey, Break out Lucille's!" One of the latest additions to downtown Laval, @lucilleslaval is bumpin' with the hottest people in the 450 Great location with plenty of parking. Decor & vibe are really cool. The staff are full of smiless but feels just a-bit inexperienced at times. Jacky had the fish tacos. The joint is good but a tad pricey. After over a year of not being able to eat at a restaurant I decided to break the ice with Lucille's. Glad to say they are still excellent high end food with not to crazy of prices. Obviously depending on what you're taking prices can go from 15$ to over 100$. Oysters were very tasty and fresh so good even you can only come here to eat that. The steak my girlfriend took was perfectly seasoned but I will say she order rare steak and got a medium rare but she likes that better we kind of predicted with the amount of people at the restaurant they might accidentally cook it more it happens often at places we go to. I took the linguine seafood pasta plate tasted amazing only one issue with it was they don't give enough make the portion a little larger please. My waitress Marie-Claude I believe her name was did an excellent jobs as well she noticed we used our napkins and we didn't even have to ask and she brought us new ones small attention to details go along way. She also recommended a nice cocktail drink that we both enjoyed I can't remember the name Unfortunately. Just try the food it's one of the best mid/high end Restaurants in Laval. Bring a date enjoy the atmosphere and some pretty tasty food

The Monkland location is better. The food at the Laval location was served cold. Probably because they have too many tables and not enough staff.

Havent reviewed in a while but this place is so bad had to reopen my account to put a review! If your looking at reviews and trying to choose if you want to eat here do yourself a favour and do not choose this restaurant. The food is awful and the service is terrible.

Do not order the lobster Mac and cheese. It's literally macaroni from the box you get at the grocery store with no cheese and 2 pieces of lobster they probably took the leftovers from the lobster roll. They shouldn't even put truffle in the description you can't even taste it. Ambience is ok but for the price and shitty quality I wouldn't go back.

Had a business lunch reservation 12:30 Nov. 4 2021. Laval location. We were both excited about trying this restaurant. Firstly we both had the same issue when we arrived. Could not locate the entrance. It looked like an abandoned building. Entrance door and windows were extremely dirty. My first impression was that they were closed. To our surprise only approx, 10 to 12 people in the restaurant. Very quiet. We decided to try a dozen of the $1 oysters. We're told they were small. We could not believe our eyes. Completely dry and were approx. 1/2 inch. If I could post the photo..I would. Waitress was nice, but once the order was given we saw her twice. We complained about the oysters to the bus boy..or assistant. He was nice and brought us 6 more mini oysters! Main course , my associate asked for no butter on her lobster roll...waitress said they could not already buttered. Lobster rolls . Let's face it..its a grilled hot dog bun... why not say yes. Apparently the rolls were very good. I had the Seafood Linguini.. very tasty but very small portion for $36. Fine for lunch! We wanted black filtered coffe and were told none available...only the fancy coffees!!! We were both disappointed by the experience. $129 for lunch $30 for 2 glasses of wine, $12 for the min oysters, $72 for main course. I dont mind spending when its worth it!!

Outstanding!! Salmon tartare and tuna tartare were the best, entrees and desserts excellent as well, will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed everything I ate, the calamari was a small portion but good none the less. The oysters were 1$ and very fresh. The tuna tartare was very good wished there was a bit more tuna to balance out the amount of avocado and cucumber they gave. My friends has the salmon tartare and the grilled octopus. Both were delicious as well. Overall very good but quite pricey.

Food is actually tasty. Portions are small. Prices are inflated. Service is OK. This is located at a mall in suburbia. Stop charging downtown prices.

I'm not the type to complain nor am I difficult in restaurants but this is absolutely the worst restaurant I have ever set foot in. It took an entire hour and a half to get our plates, as if they were planting the potatoes and waiting for them to grow to make fries out if them in the kitchen. I ordered the seafood linguine plate that was basically the saltiest thing I've ever had and had nothing to do with an original/simple Linguine Di Mare. I think they cooked it in the water from the Dead Sea. My friend ordered a salmon tartare and the lettuce they served was not washed and they had the audacity to serve it with dirt still on it. This restaurant is highly overpriced not only for their food but for their service as well. After having waited 1 hour for our food, the waiter told us that it would take another 3-5 minutes for our food to be out and at our table; we waited another half hour. This place is honestly a sorry assexcuse for a restaurant
