It was an interesting experience. Went with my friend to celebrate our birthdays and shoot a little pool on Tuesday night.
First off, the parking lot is totally dark at night..one street light on Hollywood Blvd barely shines enough light to see your car. Made me nervous. Not the best part of town, but not the worst either. Upon entering it opens into a room with roughly 17 nine foot official size tables.
Tables were not really all that clean. Rails were full of fingerprints, cloth looked old and discolored..needed to be changed. Cloth on the rails were very dirty. The pool balls were nice and shiny, clean though.
Crowd was a mix of younger kids, 20 something to older..some people in their 50s here and there like me and my friend. Didn't get to try any food but a few people had ordered pepperoni pizza and fries and it looked pretty good from what I could see.
My bestie and I had a lemon drop shot each in a small solo cup and they were $16.00 for the two. Wow.
Table prices for 2 people will run you $13.00 per hour which I think is pretty high, considering the place is not really all that beautiful.
They have different ways to pay: Cash is cheaper and credit card will cost you 4% more which I thought was weird.
At the end of the night I had to use the ladie's room and it pretty strong smell of pee. And no paper towels to dry your hands, only an air dryer which really didn't do the job unless you had about 10 minutes to stand there and keep pressing the button.
Would I go back? Maybe. I'm like 50/50. Wish the prices were a little more reasonable here though.
I did appreciate that the place is non smoking. A big plus for me!
Who knows, I may visit the place again, maybe it'll grow on me.
