Lucky Bayview

Lucky's on 3rd Street, I will give this place 3 stars because it's nice, it's new and it's in the neighborhood. The parking is challenging, the size it is very small for a grocery store. I purchased a Twix for $1.99. When did Candy Bars start costing $2.00 each? The items in this store appear to be higher due to location and possible theft!!! So sad. No cashiers!!!! Since this place is rather small, one way in one way out in the near future, I suggest or hope to see a Karake Studio for the location kids or a mentorship program helping the community families get their children in college or teaching the neighborhood children how to program, write software, draw or make 3D projects, just life skills.

Nice and clean shop. Multiple self checkout machines made the lineup short!

Employees are overall pleasant y helpful. 1 of 3 local grocery stores (that I've found) in the Bayview area. Extremely well stocked y clean. Self checkout. In the Bayview Shopping Center...one stop shopping. Like the freshness and diversity of foods. A+

went here at 5p on Monday 27th and they were closed like huh? It says it closes at 7p and permanently closes November 1st. Like yea close em down and who the hell was running this place? Like fr!

Prices are a little high. I only shop for sale items at this store! They don't take lucky store gift cards! One employee makes it a little easier shopping there. I don't remember her name but she's a very nice young lady. She is the only reason for four stars!

I've only been here a few times because they rarely have what I'm looking for so every time I shop here I do so reluctantly I went in looking for liquid food color they had none and the security guard started watching me 👎🏾

While it is not a Whole Foods, and does not have a massive organic selection, it still has pretty much everything you need in a crunch and is super convenient if you live in the neighborhood!

Closing permanently on Nov 1, 2025. Barely any food left on the shelves

The inventory in this store is crap! 8:00am on a Sunday && there's no meat. Fridge is bare unless you want a rack of ribs. Needed a lighter one day && they don't sell lighters. Why was this store put here?? We needed a pharmacy not a busted grocery store!!!!

Tiny little store. Has a security guard as soon as you enter. Friendly staff. Limited options, small store. I got chicken wings, they were good, no complaints. I wanted regular warm fried chicken but could not locate. Only saw cold chicken. This store has most Of what you want. No complaints.

This is more specifically a complaint to Lucky supermarkets in General but since MY experience was at this specific store I'll leave it here... Lucky's c'mon now get it together! You can't expect customers to like all this misleading BS! I was happy you became Lucky again instead of "Albertsons" (what a God awful name) Actually I was a bagger at Albertsons it was like my second job, I earned $7 an hour but it was fun... sorta... But I digress, back on topic now with my not so "lucky" experience... Long story short (okay medium) Got two of these $10 gift cards from my Grandmother when I visited her in San-Luis Obisbo recently. Called the number on the back to check the balance, both were full. Cool, twenty bucks and it says "Lucky" on there, clear as day right under "Albertsons" and a few other stores I don't recognize... Now am I CRAZY to ASSUME that would mean "hey, I can spend $20 at Lucky's! ... I mean not fucking rocket science now, right?!?! So when I take the time to find some shit I kinda want that's like fifteen bucks and then try to buy it with these cards that say Lucky on them and I'm told plain and simply "we don't take those, that's for Lucky's "down south". Don't expect me to be like "oh of course it is how dumb am I to not have thought of that, you know since you can clearly distinguish between the two since you put the exact same fucking logo on the card with no mention of "only certain luckys are lucky" or how about putting "NOT" right before the Lucky logo and then write "if used in NorCal" right below it, hey that'd be STUPENDOUS Lucky. Your LUCKY you have a nice dessert section and decent fried chicken so we can still be friends but this is kinda some BEE freaking ESS! A Lucky gift card is a Lucky gift card is a... at least it should be IMO... IF Y'ALL WANT TO BE DIFFERENT OR 'ADHERE TO DIFFERENT GIFT CARD RULES' THEN PICK A DIDFERENT BUSINESS NAME AND STOP CONFUSING CUSTOMERS... IS THAT ENOUGH CAPS OR SHOULD I KEEP GOING- So there you have it, Bayview Lucky's; A variety of quality goods conveniently accessible with decent parking and a stupid gift card system (or lack thereof). But if you want deals to save cabbage so you can keep them pockets knotted Grocery Outlet ftw!

I mean.. it's wonderful to get a supermarket in our neighborhood. We desperately need it. And I get that it's a smaller footprint. But then if you have such a small space, why would you use lower shelves and try to make everything spacious instead of what you need, which is to try to fit more products since you have such limited space. A bummer, and it means that I'll generally just drive the extra miles to get to groceries I need, since I will probably have to go out there anyways. Bummer. We saw the same problem with the amazing asian health store that was down 3rd past the walgreens. Low shelves and very spacious in a small footprint. Meaning not enough selection, meaning they eventually closed down.

Nicely stocked & organized, although smaller than most other Luckys I've been to. But for Bayview it's overly pricey -- Almost like whole foods!!! Ridiculous.

I love the way the designers took a small space and turned it into an amazing place for shopping! I would love to visit this store but after several attempts to shop there I have found out that this store's prices are quite different from the other Lucky stores I have visited in San Francisco, Daly City, San Lorenzo, and San Leandro . These stores have all the same weekly sale ads but Lucky Bayview's weekly sales ads are different. The prices are much higher in the Bayview store and there are less groceries. Plus the food choices are very limited. I am under the impression Bayview Hunters Point was a food desert since the neighborhood had been absent of big grocery stores. And a lot of the residents incomes are low. Also when every time I entered the store to purchase food the service clerks surrounded me and made me feel so uncomfortable, wearing masks but not keeping 6 ft. distance. I am a senior citizen and I have no interest in shoplifting after working 41 hard years of my life to allow my good name and reputation to be marred by being charged with petty theft! I will never again shop there and give them any of my hard earned retirement benefits!

The selection here is too limited. Service is decent enough when you need help. The prices are also pretty high compared to other spots not too far away. The fruits and vegetables are really scarce and whatever is left looks overpriced. They have crazy sales on specific items but they tend to run out or the quality is suspect. Other Lucky stores have long lines all day, but at least the selection is there more often than not.
