Lucky Dragon Heads Into Bankruptcy | Eater Vegas

"Less than a week before a foreclosure auction, I report the Asian-themed resort off the north end of the Strip filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last Friday, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Developer Andrew Fonfa now employs 98 people after closing the casino floor and restaurants in January. Foreclosure loomed following a $90 million loan going into default; bankruptcy documents valued the resort at $143 million. Another 179 people invested in the resort through the EB-5 visa program, contributing $89.5 million. The foreclosure auction was rescheduled on Thursday." - Susan Stapleton

Lucky Dragon Heads to the Auction Block | Eater Vegas

"Opened in December 2016, the resort Lucky Dragon closed its restaurants and casino earlier this month and has entered foreclosure after just over a year in business: it received a default notice in September on a $90 million loan and is scheduled to go on the auction block on Feb. 6, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. I note that the first resort built from the ground up since the Cosmopolitan in 2010 sits on 2.5 acres and was finished with a $90 million completion loan from developer Andrew Fonfa; the property features a nine-story hotel and a 27,500-square-foot casino. Reports say the project allegedly owes millions to its lead building contractor, staff have been laid off, and Fonfa used the EB-5 foreign investor program to help finance the development (he also owns the neighboring Allure residential building)." - Susan Stapleton

Google
Three stars because I didn’t die—but my taste buds definitely fell into a coma. Tried Lucky Dragon last night and honestly, I think the food was seasoned with hopes and dreams instead of actual spices. The chicken had the personality of a tax form, and the fried rice tasted like it missed its calling as plain white rice’s understudy. That said, the service was fast, and I appreciated how everything arrived hot—just… flavorless. Like, impressively flavorless. I didn’t know food could actively resist seasoning. Would I eat here again? Maybe—if I ever need a palate cleanse after licking a battery. Three stars: one for effort, one for temperature, and one for giving me a new baseline for bland.

Google
the black pepper chicken is more like a whole bunch of huge chunks of green pepper with a lil bit of chicken. the chicken is not fried/flash fried, just fyi. the other entrés ive had were soggy. crab rangoons are filled with some kind of weird whipped type filling. been here a few times trying different items to see if maybe its just me, this one finally pushed me away.

Google
we came here order chicken garlic sauce which is so good. Also general chicken white meat is my favorite part. Every time I ordered is pretty good. Service is nice. We will comeback again.

Google
I had Singapore mai fun and it was delicious. I don't come to this area very often. Lucky dragon was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely come here again. The flavor was excellent. Looking forward to trying other options on the menu. The restaurant was clean and people friendly.

Google
I really liked their customer service! It was terrific and was welcomed with a smile as I walked in! The food is set at such good prices! Definitely try

Jahel C.

Google
It's a shame they changed management. The previous staff was friendly. If I could give zero stars, I would. Very rude customer service. The food isn't fresh and is served cold, like reheated food. Don't waste your time or money here.

Sparkling N.

Google
Our staff had a sounder full experience here. The general Tso’s chicken pretty good. I like white meat with it. The staff is nice and welcoming. It’s really reasonable price for my lunch .

Google
I've never had yellow rice served as fried rice. The rice wasn't fried at all , it was the yellow rice you serve as a side dish. The egg roll was suppose to be pork but it was reddish pink inside with a little grounded meat. I think it was microwave food. I wasn't impressed at all. Food was bland & boring

Hndiana R.

Yelp
Food was fresh and delicious. Buying a meal for pregnant niece who needed her order prepared special, they were kind a gracious to fix it just how she could eat it! Every one loved the chicken fried rice, chicken lo mien and the steak and broccoli was wonderful! I did order fried dumplings, but they were eaten so quickly that I didn't get any! We will be eating here again...and again!

Andrew M.

Yelp
Terrible service. Slow not friendly. Will stop coming here. Used to be good. It's a shame

Yelp
Chicken curry was not what was expected and not tasty King pao was spicy but yummy House lo mein is as expected.

Yelp
Always have loved this place for over 10 years!! Great food and service!!! Folks in the area all rave about it!
google avatar

Lou S.

Yelp
Lucky Dragon me not so lucky! Shut it down! Worst ever. Just my first time ever. I saw the asian woman who took my order for Shrimp fried rice and egg roll use her fingers to scoop rice from orders being prepared back into yellow rice pot. She was adding soda, using phone, no hand washing. Not to mention this is yellow rice with shrimp on top, no onions, veggies, etc. they can't be trusted, I'm calling health department. Gross.

Todd P.

Yelp
Awesome, fast, good. Best geist carry out of pork egg foo young. So good. Near Big Kroger 116 and olio.

Nathan S.

Yelp
Food- everything tastes old and gelatin like. It was over $50 for two entrees and no drinks! The food was barely warm too! We threw it all out. NOT GOOD! Will not go back. Service- the website said nothing about the food being done. There was no call either. The place its self was clean I guess but nothing nice.
google avatar

Pam W.

Yelp
The food is always good and they are quick in preparation. I really like the cashew chicken.

Chris N.

Yelp
It seems chicken chow mein is something different than what I expected... Sugar donuts are good though
google avatar

Asia L.

Yelp
The food here is always fresh and tasty. The lady in the front is always super nice and professional and gives great service! Definitely recommend this place for your Chinese food needs/cravings!

S. LaMont M.

Yelp
Wow this is unbelievable! I have never in my life seen a chicken wing this small. Really disappointed it doesn't even taste like chicken. Sorry but I cannot be a customer anymore. I know the price of food is going up but this is not right!
google avatar

Kristine H.

Yelp
Lucky Dragon is our 'go to' for delivered Chinese cuisine. Our orders are consistently prepared quickly, correctly and delivered promptly; portion sizes are in alignment with price point. I especially appreciate the white / dark meat preference options they offer for chicken dishes. All of the items we've ordered have been prepared with quality ingredients and tasted delicious!

David T.

Yelp
Excellent food. Fair pricing. Friendly staff. Quick service. Over the past three years, I have found Lucky Dragon to be consistently good!!
google avatar

Nathan D.

Yelp
Absolutely trash! $50 on DoorDash, gone.! My wife and I ordered sweet and sour chicken and Mongolian beef. My beef was rubber, nasty and chewy, the sweet and sour was just deep fried chicken nuggets it looked like, rice was so over cooked it was just blending together and pasty. Only decent thing we enjoyed was the egg drop soup.
google avatar

Sierra J.

Yelp
Recently ordered takeout from here and enjoyed it! Totally forgot to take photos for the first time, but everything looked good and our order was all correct. I do wish the General Tso's chicken had a little more spice to it, but other than that no issues. The sesame chicken was good and had plenty of sauce. I'd definitely order from here again the next time I'm craving it.

John F.

Yelp
Their food is so good and they are so fast! The best in Fishers hands down. Ive tried others but not anymore!

Desiree L.

Yelp
Always super friendly and delicious!!! I've been coming here for about six months now. The food is always hot and delicious and correct!!!

Vanessa P.

Yelp
If I could eat this plate I would! I almost ordered a second plate! FOOD WAS EXQUISITE!

Tara J.

Yelp
The food was not flavorful at all!! The shrimp fried rice was not good. It was bland and had no seasoning. The chicken wings were fried hard and were not enjoyable at all. The crab Rangoon was fried too hard as well. The meal was horrible! Not a pleasant experience!
google avatar

Yelp
After my go to Chinese takeout restaurant went out of business I didn't know what we would do for a replacement until I found Lucky Dragon. They may be a little bit more expensive than others, but the flavor makes up for it. Whether it's your traditional dishes or the chef specialties you get healthy portions and my family really enjoys the chicken Lo mein as one of our staples and must haves. Even the hot and sour and egg drop soup was very tasty.
google avatar

Steven L.

Yelp
house special lo mien is the best in here and all the chinese food is good. will definitely come back!

Yelp
We finally found a great Chinese restaurant since moving to the Indianapois (Fishers area) almost 10 years ago now. My daughter found it, as I had given up hope of finding a good Chinese restaurant after being spoiled in another state. This is primarily a take-out restaurant, and in a strip mall, but don't let that fool you - the food is delicious, piping hot, and the portions are very generous. Ownership is engaged and it shows. I highly recommend their Sesame chicken and fried dumplings!

Angel P.

Yelp
Very nice service, great food. Affordable place. I got the orange chicken combo it was good !
google avatar

Sherri T.

Yelp
This was a last minute lunch because my daughter stayed home from school with a sore throat and was craving hot and sour soup. I'm glad we did it, I was pleasantly surprised. Since we moved to this area two years ago I have been in search of a Chinese restaurant comparable to an absolutely amazing one we left back in Grand Rapids. Today's Hunan beef was decent and the fried rice that came with it was good. My daughter loved her soup and her steamed dumplings. The eggroll was crunchy and had the best flavor I've had yet in this area, but the sweet-and-sour sauce was amazing. I could definitely taste pineapple in it, which I loved. This will be the one we return to next time we decide to get Chinese food.

Jake D.

Yelp
Customer service 10/10. Flavor 6/10 Texture 5/10 I've been here twice and have tried 3 different dishes. The sweeter dishes have much greater flavor profile and depth. The spicy dishes I've tried are not spicy at all and need more flavor/seasoning. The chicken most recently was over cooked and difficult to eat but the flavor was good. Due to the customer service, I will give it a few more shots and hopeful I have just landed here on the wrong night.
google avatar

Kelley S.

Yelp
Food was ok, but it was ready quick. The beef was a little dry and the chicken was swimming in sauce. But I thought the Crab Rangoon and fried dumplings were really good.

Jim C.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. None finer in the area! I always stop here when I'm in town!

Rachel H.

Yelp
love this place always speedy and hot when I want some good Chinese food. I love the sweet and sour chicken and the spring roles. my boyfriend loves the king pro chicken. Everything is good.
google avatar

Dan Dan W.

Yelp
So I had this the other day. It was at the recommendation of my sister and brother-in-law. I was concerned about the number of reviews on yelp. I have to say I was IMPRESSED. I got the chow mei fun. It was actually some if the best chow mei fun I've had in a while. Furthermore, we ordered some Chinese donuts and they were amazing!!!! They tasted like an elephant ear, let's just say it is not for the dieter! Haha. There a just some days that I want some really good home cooked chinese food and I'll definitely be ordering this again!
google avatar

Andrea F.

Yelp
I have to say one of the best take out Chinese places I have encountered in a long time! We will be switching to this restaurant for our Chinese take-out!
google avatar

Steven R.

Yelp
We tried Lucky Dragon for takeout last night because our usual Chinese "place" was closed. Our family enjoyed our food overall. The fried potstickers tasted fresh. The egg rolls and spring rolls were good too. The crab rangoon was just average however. For the main dishes, we liked the Sesame Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken and Shrimp w/ Snow Peas but didn't really like the Teriyaki Chicken. The House Fried Rice tasted fresh and was better than the Fried Rice at other Chinese restaurants in our area. We recommend you try Lucky Dragon if you're in the area.
google avatar

Jason W.

Yelp
Step aside Jimmy John's, there is a new Freaky Fast, Freaky Good sheriff in town! We ordered Lucky Dragon through Door Dash and had food delivered in less than 10 minutes. It said it would be 30. We enjoyed the Vege Lo Mein and Shrimp Fried Rice. Also an order of spring rolls. The entrees fed 3 of us and there is still enough for lunch tomorrow. All the food was fresh, hot and delicious!
google avatar

Craig B.

Yelp
Decent Chinese food priced for local quick meal ! The food is made quick and your wait time is never bad .
google avatar

Mark G.

Yelp
We stopped and ate here last week and had take out this week. We love it! I think the fried rice is the most fresh I've had ever. Follow that with great Szechwan chicken and veggies and your dinning right. The hot and sour soup was excellent. My wife had egg drop soup and chicken with broccoli. She ordered the exact same thing for take out 3 days later. Just as good delivered and hot and fresh! This is our new take out, delivery place. The restaurant is fine to eat in , seating for about 20 It was clean, and the people asked us if we wanted anything else several times. Really a nice place
google avatar

Brittany S.

Yelp
I've eaten here several times over the past year and each time am very satisfied! Food always comes hot and tastes very fresh. My most recent visit I ordered the moo goo gai pan and ate dine in. The tables were clean and food was served extremely fast. Love that they have crab as a choice for their fried rice side! It's definitely my go to choice for Chinese.
google avatar

Carolene M.

Yelp
The food was decent but the customer service was horrible! The worst I've experienced in a long time and Bad enough that I won't go back. There was a girl working - looked like a teenager and I assumed was the daughter of the owner/manager - based on interaction. She obviously did not want to be there and did not want to be bothered by customers. So... She got her wish from me. I don't plan to ever go back.
google avatar

Kenyatte S.

Yelp
Lucky Dragon is our go to take out restaurant. Everything we have ever ordered is delicious. My children love the sweet and sour chicken and spring rolls. I'm a fan of their General Tso's chicken it's perfectly seasoned and a good combo of sweet and spicy.
google avatar

R D.

Yelp
Just received my meal. I order kung pao chicken. I'm wondering why the chicken is diced up into tiny tiny pieces. Way smaller than bite size as you can see. The flavor is good but the chicken is too small to eat.

Tom M.

Yelp
Ordered through GrubHub here in Tempe AZ. This is the most ridiculously small portion of fried rice I have ever been ripped off by FOR $19.00 & EXTRA $2.00 FOR EXTRA VEGGIES. Did not look anything like the yum yum fried rice on the menu. I also ordered extra veggies which I didn't get. There was not much veggies at all. AT FIRST I THOUGHT THEY SENT ME THE WRONG ORDER. VERY DISSAPOINTED. WILL NOT BE BACK. ALSO NO WAY TO GET AHOLD OF LUCKY DRAGON TO COMPLAIN.
google avatar

Yelp
We absolutely love the food! One of my favorites is the dumplings. They never disappoint with delivery and food flavor. We

Yelp
Love the Lucky Dragon! I have had the bourbon chicken and the General Tao's Chicken. I ordered with rice for the first few times I ate here and was very satisfied. The portions and generous and I usually have a lunch the next day when I takeout from here. But here's the deal, I ordered the Lo Mein last time and woah, game changing. The noodles were excellent, packed with flavor and a perfect addition to the dish. I will certainly be ordering these again. My wife gets the chicken and broccoli and says it's very good also. Definitely worth a visit if you want Chinese food in the Fishers area.

James B.

Yelp
Recently went here for take out. We were very pleased with the entrees, egg roll, and hot and sour soup. Our entrees were Moo Goo Gai Pan and Chicken with Garlic. Both were very good. The egg roll that came with the combination dinner was good and bigger than average. My hot and sour soup was very good. The only drawback to the food was the fried rice, which is most of the reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5. I would say it was only average, just not a lot of flavor and I missed the tidbits of pork, vegetables, or egg that usually comes as part of it. Also, I believe all of the items were $1.00 higher than the prices posted in the online menu. The food was prepared very quickly and was ready when I arrived to pick up. Overall, I would go back.
google avatar

Rob H.

Yelp
Better than the typical Chinese carry-out restaraunt! The General Tso's chicken was crispy and fresh. The chicken was extremely lean. The bite sized pieces were covered in a thin flavorful sauce, not a thick sweet syrup like must places. I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a choice between dark or white meat chicken. The Hot & Sour soup wasdelicious. It tasted homemade... less of vinegar and more of beef broth and soy sauce. The soup was full of egg, soy, mushrooms & Asian vegetables. I will definitely eat here the next time I am in Fishers! I want to try more of their menu items!

William D.

Yelp
Mediocre at best. The lo mein was bland, fried rice bland, beef n broccoli bland egg drop soup had a brown tint and tasted of corn starch. Will try other places next time.
google avatar

Molly G.

Yelp
Literally so amazing! I had the pineapple chicken and I recommend it so much! The fried rice is delicious, the appetizers are amazing, especially the crab rangoons. That sweet and sour sauce is SO GOOD. It tastes like actual homemade sweet and sour sauce. I need to come here every single time I come to Indiana!!!
google avatar

Kerrie S.

Yelp
After living in China for a summer my expectations are pretty high for Chinese food. This place is one of the local bests! Food is always super fresh and ingredients are great. My kids love their sweet and sour chicken bc the pieces are smaller bite size than more Chinese places. The fried options are all done well and not over cooked. Steamed dumplings are done well. Their moo shu is great but wish they used rice paper wraps. Soups are not the strong suit but they have a great variety of them. Rice is fresh and not dried out. Overall it's all pretty good!
google avatar

Jake M.

Yelp
The reason for non one star review is the hours. The restaurant is open past 10 pm on door dash during week which is very rare in this area outside of chain establishments. Was working late at hospital and missed lunch, extremely hungry, and was very pleased to see chinese restaurant open. The food was delivered timely. Up to this point, a 5 star review. But the food certainly below average. The chicken was soggy and taste as if it had been microwaved. The szechuan chicken allows for a "mild, medium, or hot" spice level for which I chose "hot." I would hate to see what a mild tastes like because there was zero spice. The stir fry was largely tasteless with hints of salt and sweetness present. The highlight of the meal was the fried rice which is simply the yellow tented standard Chinese fast food fried rice used all over the US. This was only because it was not soggy and had a bit more taste than stir fry. The dumplings are not hand made, again are frozen, pot sticker like dumplings. They were average but yet cold insides thus below average. The egg rolls were standard frozen shipped egg rolls. Honestly, was worst Chinese food I have had in a couple of years (granted a bit unfair as covid has taken away the annual horrendous buffet experience I usually am accustomed to experiencing). This helped to serve that covid buffet hole of subpar, bland, room temperature Chinese cuisine.

Katherine J.

Yelp
Definitely the best takeout in fishers. I love that they have combination plates for dinner, not just for lunch!
google avatar

Shamari B.

Yelp
Service was great. Flavor wasn't quite what I expected. The rice was somewhat bland and the egg drop soup had super huge chunks in it.
