"Even though most of the locations for Lucky Goat Coffee Co. are in Tallahassee, one is on Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville. This coffee shop is ideal for working remotely or meeting friends before heading off to the beach. For those who love cold brew coffee, the Lucky Bomb combines espresso, vanilla, and cream into one perfectly sippable drink." - Megan duBois

Yelp
Baked goods, delightful ambience & service always with a smile. A pleasure conversing with the great Baristas with every visit. Great tasting coffee all the time for me! My lucky bonus is getting one of the new "T's" displayed for sale. I love getting shirts from the merchants I patronize so I'm always on the look out for these cool items!

Yelp
My daughter and son-in-law discovered this coffee shop and they are coffee snobs! So I FINALLY stopped in and this may turn into a regular stop for me. Caramel Macchiato was perfectly delicious, John ordered a hot chocolate which was also wonderful- but it was the bakery case that was begging me to return. I didn't order anything from the case today, but the quiche looked amazing! I am such a sucker for baked goods and pair that with delicious coffee~ sold! Fast and friendly service, comfy seating and the extra merchandise is fun. John snagged a new pint glass and I know my daughter wants one of their campfire mugs! I teased her with a picture. Until next time Lucky Goat!

Yelp
I see this shop every time I take my dog to the vet and I've been meaning to try it for some time. I finally tried it and I'm ready to share some thoughts. First of all, with any coffee shop I go to, I rate it based on a 3 part criteria: 1. What variety of food do they serve and how good is it? 2. How does their espresso taste? Is it too acidic or too burnt? 3. Is it comfortable to sit in there for long periods of time? What is the overall vibe of the shop? Lucky Goat ticks most of these boxes. The espresso was well-balanced with minimal acidity. I order an iced latte with oatmilk, half lavender and half vanilla (because usually lavender is pretty strong on its own). I'm not sure what brand of syrup they use, but I do wish I had just gotten lavender because it was hard to taste any flavor in my drink. I'll know for next time to get full pumps of whichever syrup I pick. The vibes were good! Very cute industrial feel with patrons chatting quietly amongst themselves. Employees were friendly and the music was at a nice volume. They had a variety of places to sit and hang out or to get some work done. I saved food for last because their pastry selection was very minimal. I went fairly early in the day, so I expected some muffins, danishes, croissants, etc. But there wasn't a good selection and I ended up going across the street for my breakfast. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and while I might not pick this shop as my go to, I would definitely be open to stopping by again the next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Nice coffee shop, welcoming and great prices! If you're wanting a good espresso but don't want to pay "hipster" prices come here! Great tasting espresso at a great price!

Yelp
This a great place to work and get some studying done. Plenty of seating available with space to charge your electronics. Easy parking right outside. Delicious coffee (I personally like the oat milk cappuccino). Have tried the matcha here but the flavor is a bit too mild for me. There's always a new seasonal blend they offer to sample. Merchandise including fun stickers and t-shirts are available for purchase! The pastries are DELICIOUS. You must try the pimento cheese or garlic and spinach kolach. The bread is so sweet and soft and for under $4, it's a delicious steal!

Yelp
The location had a cute set up inside, with some furniture seats for a lounge area as well as tables with chairs if you are staying to study. I got the honey lavender iced latte, it was very lavender-y. It was almost soapy...so I wasn't able to finish it unfortunately. My husband got one of their special beans that they only made as a pour over. When it was done, they didn't let us know so it was just sitting on the counter for a bit which was disappointing. We even bought some of the beans they had on sale and the experience checking out was very weird as the cashier was counting the tip jar and paying attention to me or anything.

Yelp
Ah Coffee on a cold day. My friends took me to this place as they've had it in Tallahassee during their college days. Cute coffee shop with variety of coffee and also have an area to buy their merchandise such as t-shirts and coffee beans. They also have some pastries as well. My friend recommended the Luckyccino (hot) which has vanilla and cream. Very delicious and smooth. A great place to relax and study/work. The staff was friendly and followed covid guidelines. I would definitely recommend visiting this coffee shop.

Yelp
I run past Lucky Goat multiple times each week but I'm rarely over there when I'm not exercising. So while I'd peeked in briefly right after they'd opened, it took me a while to actually go inside to order food and drinks. They were "luckily" having a 50% off sale on the biscuits so we took advantage of that. We tried a bacon cheddar biscuit, a breakfast sandwich, a chocolate scone, a cold brew, and an iced chai tea latte. I saw that they were advertising the pumpkin spice flavor of the day and they graciously added it to my chai tea latte at my request. The tea had strong chai flavor but it didn't have the sweetness that I like in great chai tea lattes. I'm not a coffee drinker but my husband said the cold brew was really good. Lucky Goat partners with a local bakery for their pastries and when warmed in the oven at home, the bacon cheddar biscuits were buttery and full of both cheese and bacon! I wasn't sure what the chocolate scone would taste like. It ended up being rich and of good quality but the consistency reminded me more of a firm brownie rather than a scone. We were glad that we visited Lucky Goat. The next time I run by I'll know exactly what I'm missing by not stopping in!

Yelp
New coffee shop that opened up on Tuesday (8/11/20). It occupies the same unit as the former dessert shop called Thaice used to be. Lucky Goat Coffee's popularity reside in Tallahassee where they have 5 locations; from what I'm told. It's pretty exciting that Jacksonville now has its own Lucky Goat Coffee location. This new location is located off Beach Blvd, occupying the former Thaice ice cream/dessert shop. So come by and get your coffee on. And oh...both the Cold Brew coffees I ordered; Lucky Bomb and Luckyccino were #Delicious And...they also serve Teas by the way. www.luckygoatcoffee.com #SupportLocal

Yelp
Best coffee shop in Jax!!! Can't get enough of the Goat! Bfast sandwiches are awesome too!

Lea P.

Yelp
Hot new coffee shop in Jax! You could really tell by the number of people inside! Amazingly, we were still able to practice social distancing lol. Inside was spacious but probably not enough tables, but I like that it's a quaint little hole in the wall shop. We ordered Iced and Hot Cafe Breve. Their Hot Breve is incredibly good! I can definitely taste the bitterness of the espresso which I always prefer and looked for in my coffee. I loveeeet! As for the Iced Breve, the milk overpowered the taste of the espresso, maybe an extra shot is needed. Overall, we enjoyed our coffee and will surely be back!

Yelp
So gooood!! I've been twice and the staff have always been super nice and helpful. It's a good place to focus on studying with plenty of seats and power outlets, and the music was poppin. I've had both the Lucky Bomb and the Goat Bomb on different occassions! I asked the barista if I should add anything to my Goat Bomb because I like a little sweetness to my coffee. She recommended adding honey and I think i added oat milk! When I tell you after drinking only half of it, I was ZOOMING. I did more work that day than I've ever done in my life. It was their own brewed adderall. if you're familiar with the pomodoro technique when studying, i literally used every break to pee because of the amount of caffeine HAHA sorry for the tmi but seriously. if u ever wanna get on that high, please go, i will forever be chasing that feeling

Sherry T.

Yelp
Yummy coffee. Good service. Clean facilities. Definitely worth your time. We just went in for a quick pick me up and the coffee was delicious ans strong. They made it just like how we like it.

Jordan B.

Yelp
Got the lucy goat cold brew- some of the best I've ever had! Highly recommend this place!

Sadie G.

Yelp
Great fresh coffee, and delicious breakfast items! If you want a quality cup of coffee and a fresh bakery item to go alongside, i recommend LuckyGoat.

Brooklyn S.

Yelp
Iced sugar-free latte (I LOVE that they have stevia simple syrup!). It's delicious and complex coffee! A lovely alternative for Southsiders to Bold Bean if you don't want to cross the ditch or drive to San Marco.

Michael G.

Yelp
I had a previous review where I gave the Goat 5 stars. I immediately take that back. Had to be the services I received previously. The 2 guys had a great attitude and made everything better. Coffee is still solid, but the customer service is trash. Talked so quite I couldn't hear a word she was saying to me. Her coworker didn't seem to pay me anymind. When my order for a everything bagle was done she said it with that sass. I wanted a bacon egg and cheese, but I remember it's microwaved. ONLY GO FOR COFFEE. I REPEAT ONLY COFFEE.

Bridget R.

Yelp
Was over this way after football for my son, was running into Publix when my son pointed out this place because of the name. I've been dying to find a fun new coffee place to grab as I've given up Starbucks because I was sick of spending money and not being pleased. The atmosphere is adorable, it smells AMAZING! The people working were so kind and helpful, I ended up getting a lucky bomb with white chocolate mocha and something snowflake, I forgot! It is incredible. I haven't felt so thrilled and satisfied spending money on a coffee in awhile. I will definitely be back when in the area.

Chris L.

Yelp
Amazing coffee and the people are wonderful! This is my daily coffee spot! I have my spot in the comfy armchair in the corner to read and listen to podcasts...

Bianca G.

Yelp
I got the chance to try out The Lucky Goat Coffee shop after dropping off my package at the ups. Perfect pick me up on this chilly morning. My first impression is a positive one as the cafe is really clean and organized as well as having great flow for people waiting on their order. The two staff members were wearing masks the entire time. I bought a cranberry scone after asking one of the staff members for a recommendation on the bakery selection. It was really good so I'm glad I took their suggestion. I will definitely be coming back as it's not far from my job!

Emilia G.

Yelp
Stopped by again this week for their cold brew. Remembered to take a couple pics of their smoothies that day as well as their food selection. But can we talk about the goat stickers to enforce social distance. I can not even

Tatiana R.

Yelp
Honey lavender iced latte with almond milk! My first time here and it was delicious! They have very knowledgeable staff, great recommendations and they have some quick bites like English muffin sandwiches and cookies available to nibble on. Wonderful monthly flavors! Apparently next month is strawberry shortcake!!! if coffee isn't your thing they have smoothies available: mellow mango, super fruit Allstate, harvest green, and summer strawberry are the ones that I saw. Offer soy, almond, and oat milk subs. And they have some ground coffee to take home if you want. Try it out!

Dawn P.

Yelp
I went here with a gift certificate coupon. And was blown away by the prices. Very reasonable coffee. At first, I was thinking this is like half the price of local coffee shops, but the coffees are also a little bit smaller. They don't offer bigger sizes. But very good coffee and reasonable prices! I think the biggest you can get is a 20 ounce. But a lot of them are 4.00 or less. The cold brew is a little bit more. But was very good! I will go back!

Sarah S.

Yelp
I came in here on a Wednesday morning, with busy toddler in tow. They were pretty busy as most tables/seats were taken but I was in and out in 5 minutes. The cashier (Megan, I believe) was very friendly and helpful in making a suggestion for a drink. I got the luckycino on her recommendation and it was better than expected! Perfect amount of sweetness, that is not too much, but enough to taste, for me! The nutter butter was delicious as well! I was so impressed that they are now my favorite coffee shop. I wish I lived closer, but will definitely make the effort to stop in when I can!

Shelly K.

Yelp
Great little coffee shop with amazing coffee. Love the vibe and staff is awesome. The story is great and the coffee is made in Tallahassee!

Brian-Stephen A.

Yelp
First time being here and it was amazing. The ambiance was very calming. I'm glad that they are wearing masks although some of the customers who stayed didn't wear one. The lavender latte was exquisite. I'm definitely going back here after my runs.

Sarchia B.

Yelp
Its 26mins drive from home but worth it. Coffee so good and pastries are to die for. And its more cheaper than Starbucks!!!

David H.

Yelp
Do not really want people to like this coffee just so it stays how it is. Would rather everyone continue to go to Starbucks. This place serves up some of the best coffee. Whether it is cold brew or latte they have you covered. Great how cold brew on tap rotates with the seasons as well. Would highly recommend but not really leave this place alone do not ruin it like Starbucks. Cheers!

Brian S.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing coffee! Service was great and the atmosphere is awesome. Would definitely recommend going here. Glad they finally made it out to Jax. Go noles!

Katie K.

Yelp
So happy that Lucky Goat has expanded outside of Tallahassee! All the same great drinks were there, and the staff was incredibly friendly with quick service. Will be returning on a regular basis!

Laura M.

Yelp
Needed a cafe on Kiernan, stumbled onto this one. The name made me giggle, but they HAD MY TEA (Mighty Leaf Organic African Nectar) and had vegan treats (my friend was like "did you plan that?" and I said, "I literally had no idea"). Vegan Chunky Monkey was DELICIOUS--not too banana-y and the chocolate chunks were DIVINE. Vegan Blueberry Muffin was fluffy, sweet and yummy as well. Wish I had taken a picture, but we were busy eating and exchanging life advice

Yelp
Warning: this review is not to be mean but brutally honest, viewer discretion is advised. If you want a cup of coffee to fuel your daily battle of bumper to bumper traffic, a monotonous 9-5 job, and to come home exhausted, Lucky Goat Coffee is not the place to start your morning. I am no where near being a coffee expert, but I do have taste, and have had some great coffee in my life. One of my coffee expert friends told me, to truly know how good a coffee shop is you must try their cold brew. Black. No cream. No sugar. And based on my pallet that is how I've always enjoyed cold brew. Upon ordering a cold brew, the nice man working the counter asked if I wanted to try their turtle noted (flavored beans) cold brew. So I ordered that with no cream or sugar. At first sip, I thought maybe I drank some of the ice water. It tasted weak and bland, almost like a hint of coffee in a cup of cold water. So giving it another chance I swirled the drink around took another sip and still the same result. So I thought maybe it was just a weak batch of cold brew. People make mistakes. So I asked politely, and swapped to the regular cold brew (no cream, nor sugar, black). They were quick to swap it out no questions asked. I sat back down at my seat and thought this must be the real deal! This is the main event of their cold brew! But I was sadly mistaken... Again it tasted watered down and bland. It was disappointing that both were not good at all. That they truly lacked in any elements of flavor and richness that cold brew can bring to the table. It's just disappointing a coffee shop has better pastries and tea then coffee. I will be back because I believe in second chances. And I hope I have to update my review for the better. But as for now, Lucky Goat Coffee has a hype bus leaving the station and I will not be getting on.

Jacob S.

Yelp
Literally one of my favorite coffee place in all of Jacksonville. Great atmosphere, great people and GREAT COFFEE!!

Kirk T.

Yelp
Drove over to the new Lucky Goat Coffee Shop on Beach Blvd. we lived in Tallahassee for several years and became addicted. This is locally roasted really smooth coffee. Far better than Starbucks. Their shop is comfortable and cozy with places to relax. They have good, free WiFi. I had the cold Goat Bomb with Espresso and vanilla cream. Yummy! Parking is very easy right out front. The Staff is friendly, prompt and helpful. The Store and restrooms are very clean. The prices are fair and competitive. Stop by and you'll find yourself addicted!

M R.

Yelp
Our favorite coffee shop in Jacksonville. The coffee is delicious and the shop is clean with great seating. We go here every Saturday morning for our weekend coffee.

Chung-Hae C.

Yelp
First of all, I loved the atmosphere -- warm and open. My husband and I were passing by and thought we'd stop in. The smell of coffee as we stepped into the store was very enticing! I wasn't planning on having any coffee (not an addict or anything!) & was going so my husband have a cup, but I ended up with a cappuccino & loving it. John got their Original and deemed it "pretty good!" We also indulged in a sausage-egg-cheese on biscuit, which they heated up and was quite filling, even split between the two of us. Although the majority of the clientele seemed to be quite young (compared to us -- more like our kids' age), we found the place very comfortable, tasty, and generally a good vibe. We'd definitely go back there next time we're in the area!

Kelly S.

Yelp
Coffee was great! This area was in need of a good coffee shop. Welcome to the neighborhood Lucky Goat.

Carie M.

Yelp
This was my first time in, and the two gentlemen behind the bar were awesome. I ordered a coconut milk latte. Thank you for not burning my milk! The coffee has a very nice, bold flavor without any weird sweetness to it. Would love a small, gluten-free selection of pastries (I'm celiac ) I will definitely be back to try that Lucky Bomb

Maria W.

Yelp
So excited to finally have a locally owned coffee shop in this area of Kernan/Beach! The inside is really cute and tables are social-distance friendly. The coffee and food (pastries/biscuit sandwiches) are delicious and they heat them up for you. Seems like a great place to meet a friend or post up for an afternoon to work/study! Can't wait to go back!

Tanya B.

Yelp
Coffee was good. The fear is not good. Barely had a chance to order my coffee and everything around me. Note, I was the only one in. Just very weird feeling and I didn't like it. I'm all about clean places but this too much. The chemicals from the cleaning supplies might actually poison or kill someone

Robert L.

Yelp
Lucky Goat Coffee does it right over and over again. The atmosphere is a delight. Everything I've tried thus far is solid. All of the staff are super friendly - you most certainly feel welcome and taken care of. Totally coming back here again for more because one time is just not enough.

Alan N.

Yelp
Super cool place. Saw a sign out front that said "cold brew this way" and turned back again. Nice place. Super chill. Less clutter than a bigger chain. I wanna come back with my laptop and work for a bit here. As for the coffee, I'm having a hard time not drinking it all at once. Price, good. Not $3-$4 range. Nothing crazy. So if you want a small local coffee shop that (definitely didn't see coming when walking in btw) that has good coffee. Lucky Goat is it. Side note, I'm sitting it the parking lot and the guy working the counter, came out and sprayed everything down. Cool cool. Ordered a Carmel Latte (iced) + a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit for the AM. Customer type - like coffee with a hint of other flavors. Not too sweet on either side. Perfect match.

Diana K.

Yelp
Their iced cold brew flavor of the day "as a luckyccino" is seriously the best. Creamy and very flavorful. Awesome, friendly staff too!

Amber K.

Yelp
First coffee shop I visited since moving to Jax and will be my go-to. They're cold brew is one of the best I've had.

Jill L.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! Great coffee! Great atmosphere! Great customer service! After a horrible experience I encountered at Starbucks I was so glad to find this gem. Their pastries are amazing as well, but if you love coffee this is the spot.

B K.

Yelp
Coffee was delicious and a unique selection of delicious food! Highly recommend this coffee shop.

Chris T.

Yelp
I am an everyday coffee drinker and I love when a cup of black coffee is just so good I start windering what I have been doing wrong in my coffee game before my first time at Lucky Goat! The beans and craft in their brew makes it the best cup of black coffee I have had in Jax. Current seasonal coffee was amazing - so smooth, fragrant and warm!
