Great outdoor and indoor seating area. I had a nice cold foam coldbrew and my husband an iced tea. My drink was kinda expensive but it was because it was a holiday special. The coffee they suggest is large so i would ask for a smaller size.

I love Lucky Lab Coffee Co.—their coffee and matcha are some of my favorites in Austin. I’ve sat inside at the bar before and the space is small but really cozy. Now that the weather’s nicer, I went recently and sat out on the porch during a UT game day, and the vibes were fantastic. Such a great spot to hang out and enjoy a really good drink.

Lucky Lab Coffee has such a cozy, welcoming atmosphere—great for college students, remote workers, or even if you’re just passing by and need a quick break. The patio is super cute and relaxing, and I really appreciate how pet-friendly the place is. You can tell they genuinely care about animals, which gives the space an extra feel-good vibe. I ordered my go-to: a chai latte. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t bad either—definitely drinkable and hit the spot. But the real win? Their croissants. Flaky, buttery, and seriously tasty. Worth stopping in just for that. The staff was super kind and friendly, which made the experience even better. Whether you’re looking for a spot to chill, work, or just grab a quick snack, Lucky Lab is a solid little stop.

We had chocolate croissants, campfire sweet cream latte with a shot of chocolate syrup and a lemon blueberry hand pie. I liked the college old-school vibe there, students working on their laptops with a glass of coffee. Cute cafe with pretty aesthetics, painted wall arts. I wanted more options to eat, maybe something hot, but they only serve coffee and croissants I guess. It was very sunny today, so we couldn’t sit outside for long.

The upselling has been pretty bad lately. They’re obviously trained to ask you if you want a large, which fine—but today they followed up by asking me if I wanted oat milk in my latte, without disclosing that it was an extra charge. Usually they say something like, “is whole milk fine?” so it was a little strange, but I didn’t catch on until after I had paid. The menu is already pretty expensive for students, so it feels underhanded to try and tack on as many extra charges as possible.

Loved this coffee spot during our stay in Austin. Our hotel was a five minute walk away. We came here twice during a short visit for their summer special drink- the Thai brew. It is Thai tea mixed with coffee and I loved the combo, super refreshing with a perfect ratio of the two. If it’s on the menu, try it out! You go up to the window to order your drinks. There’s bar seating inside and larger patio seating to the side. The dog theme is super cute!

The cold brew was excellent and the outdoor patio was very relaxing. I didn't have breakfast but their pastries looked delicious.

Drinks : 10/10 I love the variety this place provides!! Only place I've found in Austin that lets you order a flight of different coffees. Good portions too! Can be shared or ordered for you. Service 10/10 : very friendly team members Ambiance 10/10 : I've sat outside with my dog before and also sat inside on days to focus on a reading or work. Love the energy here! Pro: they have cute gear for purchase & little treats for your dog :) We use to walk over here often back when we lived downtown. Def suggest adding to your list of coffee spots to check out in Austin!

The Vibe: Escape your worries, fears and email inbox. Though the interior is small, the outdoor seating is plentiful and almost always has a dog chilling just waiting for ear scratches. The space is always clean and well taken care of despite all the traffic they get. I can rally pass a whole afternoon here. The coffee/drinks: I am a sucker for a seasonal menu and they know it. Always something new to try and a flavor adventure to be had. They are very creative with their combinations. Many be if the coffee lattes tend to be too subtle for me but the Cherry Basil Chai I had today live up to its name and I liked it. The food: you cannot go wrong everything has been amazing but I rarely get anything besides the Salami Goat Cheese Croissant because it is just that good.

The three different muffins I ordered via Door Dash were completely stale and inedible. On a Saturday. How do muffins even get stale on a Saturday? When were they baked? I called to let Lucky Lab know and the woman who answered the phone was surprisingly rude and said, "We can't do anything about that. You have to call Door Dash." I replied, "I'm taking the time to call Lucky Lab because the food came from y'all and that's a quality control issue. I thought you'd be interested to know that I received inedible food." But she was clearly not. My first and last time ordering anything from Lucky Lab.

Awesome place to hang out, by yourself or with friends. We were surprised by the quality and variety of the food and drinks. The shady, breezy side porch is an oasis for people Luke us, wanting to get out of the A/C without broiling in the Texas sun. Already planning our next visit!

It is a really cute spot for coffee tasting! They have comfortable outdoor seating where you can even bring your furry friend along with you :) We opted for the coffee flights, and the service was absolutely fantastic! The person who took our order was incredibly patient and friendly, especially considering it was our first time there. However, I must admit that the latte drinks were not their best. Unfortunately, they were quite watered down, resulting in a taste reminiscent of iced coffee. BUT their honey oat matcha was an absolute standout! Without a doubt, it was one of the best matcha lattes I've had in Austin, TX so far. If you ever find yourself in the area, I highly recommend giving it a try. Additionally, their tea and refresher selections are worth exploring. Overall, this charming spot offers a pleasant ambiance for studying, catching up with friends, indulging in coffee-tasting adventures, or even enjoying a nice date!

What a cute little spot and perfect to bring our pup! He's a lab mix so naturally had to take him to lucky lab :) they had a bowl of water outside and dog treats so he was a happy boy Service was great, I was super indecisive between all their latte flavors and baked goods (they all look so good) and she helped share some favorites! What we ordered -- Both the coffees we tried, we really liked! We got the winter specials: campfire sweet cream latte and blood orange clove. Both were tasty! The flavors are subtle though and I wouldn't have minded if they were a bit bolder We also got the turkey croissant which comes with cheese and on a jalapeño croissant, yum! This was fantastic Lastly and my favorite purchase, the lavender lemon hand pie. The hand pies look like pop tarts but taste way better. This was bursting with flavor and both the lavender and lemon flavors shine through! It's a great spot to read or just soak up the sun with your pup. Will def be back!

Lucky Lab has such a lovely patio/courtyard for a beautiful day out to enjoy a nice cup of coffee. The baristas here were so kind and sweet and gave me their recommendations on the menu for their favorite drinks. But I'm a pretty avid coffee drinker and so I think these drinks just didn't hit the mark for me. They were pretty watery and bland, lacked strength, depth, and flavor. I love the concept and thought put into the drink ideas though, just needs some work!

Really nice café with a ton of outdoor seating. Truly perfect for yesterday's warm and sunny weather. I came here with a friend around 2 pm in the afternoon and the place was buzzing with students and young crowd of visitors. There's an order counter facing the street and then they call out your name when the drink is ready. Because the same window is taking orders and handing out drinks, things can get a bit crowded and messy, but the employees are very efficient in managing the crowds. I got the lavender mint iced latte, which was ready in just a few minutes. Unfortunately the mint flavor was not noticeable at all, yet the lavender was perfect. Not too strong to overpower the drink, but still present. I'm guessing they use a lavender simple syrup because the drink was rather sweet. It definitely was refreshing and rejuvenating after a busy morning. Most of the outdoor seating is shaded by umbrellas and I didn't notice if they had any indoor seating. I really loved the laidback energy of the place and will definitely come back

lucky lab is a super cute cafe around UT's Campus. They have a fun list of specialty drinks, alongside the basic coffees and teas. What stood out most was the buttery, warm smell of their freshly baked pastries and sandwiches! Their homemade poptarts looked amazinggg...I will definitely be going back to get one next time. There's limited seating outside, but it's a cute place to grab a quick breakfast. If the weather's nice, they do have a nice outdoor space w a variety of seating options.

Easily became one of the best Austin, TX coffee shops during my visit and came nearly everyday for something new Drinks: Honey Nut Latte, Thai Brew, Matcha Lavender Honey Nut Latte had real honey and hazelnut paired with almond milk. It was not too watery which I was worried about based on other reviews and it was light ice even without asking to avoid dilution (noted they listened to customer's critiques - we love). The combination ratios were perfectly executed and the espresso was sharp & bold for a days work. I was able to taste all undertones Thai Brew with almond milk (instead of half & half) had a concentrated Thai tea and in house cold brew. The cold brew was smooth & not acidic, which was lightened with the thai tea. This was immaculate & exceeded my day prior judgement toward it lol Matcha Lavender with almond milk had their in house lavender syrup and generous portion of matcha. I have never been a fan of lavender but really exceptional coffee shops will win me over which this wasn't my favorite here. But I respect the vision (+) in house syrups and Pacific brand alternative milks over Califia Farms Pastry: Lemon Blueberry and Strawberry Hand pie aka adult pop-tart. They both had countryside authentic filling like a pie and flakey crust. Both were delicious, but yet to beat is from Sagebush Coffee Shop in AZ (the gold standard). Environment: I loved the outside ambiance reminded me of a cute barn picnic setting with floral & plants. The inside is small but the bar seating was perfect entertainment to observe them make your drinks. Walkable from campus, accommodating to all parties and dog friendly Service: I had a new barista each time I went and all were so amicable, thoughtful in recommending, eager and friendly. Never felt rushed rather social and patient. They offered a loyal rewards card too Overall: I will be looking forward to coming back when I visit the sibling at UT again in Spring! All my Californians will know about this place when I return home.

A nice quaint coffee shop for your morning caffeine kick and a little sweet treat to get your day going. Definitely a spot for students so it was a bit crowded but it's right next to a space with tons of outdoor seating. I got a black cold brew and the strawberry hand pie. Cold brew was pretty standard and the hand pie was just as I was expecting. I wish they had more savory breakfasts but there are a couple of breakfast sandwiches available. I think there was indoor seating too but it seems like the outdoor window is the main ordering spot.

My favorite coffee that I've had in Austin! Wow I was so impressed! The bees knees latte blew me away, I could taste the full flavor profile (which were all of my favorites combined- lavender, honey, rosemary ). If it was closer to me I'd go more often, but unfortunately it is a bit of a commute and the parking situation isn't ideal (very limited and lots nearby come at a fee). But if you're just running in real quick then you'll be fine. We stayed for our drinks and luckily found two stools at the bartop, otherwise we would have been out of luck as that small bartop is the only indoor seating and then the small patio was full. Next time I'm in the area I'll for sure return!

Lucky Lab was about a 3 minute walk from the Moxy, where I was staying for 4 days. I had made grand plans to check out a different breakfast/coffee spot every morning, but I ended up at Lucky Lab all four days. Go figure. But it was completely fine because Lucky Lab has more than enough options so that I had something different everyday. They have warm breakfast sandwiches, pastries, cookies, and some cold grab-n-go options like yogurt parfaits and overnight oats. I tried a variety of all the options available and they were all very good. The best was their Lavender Cold Foam Cold Brew, which I had every morning. So good. Staff here are always very nice and very friendly. I actually did not mind coming back here every morning cause everyone was so nice! They're also very fast with their drinks too. Each time I'll order my Uber the moment I paid and each time, I'd still have to wait over 5-10 minutes for the Uber to get here after my drink was delivered.

I believe this is one of the best coffee shops in Austin. It's located super close to the UT-Austin campus and tucked away on a side street, but if you're in the area, I'd say grab a cup to go and a snack. It's a small but quick ordering system at a window and the employees are helpful for those who need help deciding what kind of drinks to choose from (if you have a hard time deciding like me).

Enjoyed visiting this local spot during my brief stay in Austin. Friendly local vibes courtesy of U of T-Austin and the ambiance is exactly what it should be: good peoples, good cafe and good brews. Walking distance from the condos and college campus. Happy to go back.

They are really nice and the place is cute, but that espresso machine is going to waste. If I wanted "a little bit of drip coffee" I would have said that, but I asked for a double espresso, and whatever I drank was certainly not even close. To be more helpful than an as*, I think you'll want to grind your beans a lot finer and tamp them appropriately so it will result in higher pressures while brewing and more extraction. I'm assuming your beans are made for brewing espresso, so that should not be a problem

Since being a student in the area, I have been to the Lucky Lab on Guad. pretty often to be considered a regular. However, I mainly went due to the convenience of the location. The quality of the food like the breakfast sandwiches has stooped a little, notably almost every time I come in to grab a sandwich, it remains unheated and the cheese is never melted (never was like this last year). The drinks are okay for the price point, especially the cold brews and lattes. Notably, the matcha is not the best here and has a grassy flavor. Besides that, if you are a student and looking for a place to study, come here on a nice day as there is extremely limited indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor seating. However, I hope this small business makes some adjustments as it is doing many of the right things and expanding notably within the University of Texas campus. Additionally, I, like most other people, kind of hate the tip culture. Something that I have noticed happens at Lucky Lab, but not at other coffee shops, is the options for tips range of $1 to $5. It automatically has $1 selected before clicking to the next screen. This is just an observation of mine, and it is the first time I have encountered pre-set tip screens, especially for take-out/coffee establishments where you come to the counter to order.

Lovely spot for coffee or a quick snack by campus. Baked good made fresh in house. Tasty stuff croissants and hand pies. People seem to really like their creative cold coffee concoctions with creative add ins. I stuck to the cappuccino out of habit. Order inside or out. Most seating is outdoors. Fast friendly service. Lines can build up at peak times in the morning when classes are in session but the staff moves quickly through orders. In a hurry? Don't heat up your pastry they are just fine out of the case.

Strong coffee, seemed locally sourced and prime to the university belt of Austin. The location is smartly placed in heart of where student walk by it, so conveniently promoted for breakfast/quick bite needs. The place is small inside however they offer a window from the outside where you can order. The outside patio/area has a great amount of shade and seating area with picnic benches/tables. It sits on a corner where Food Trucks are also gathered around each other.

This is a great little coffee shop tucked in by campus. Located on San Antonio St., there's paid street parking and a 15-minute customer service spot. There are lots of seating options outside that are covered. I don't think there's even an inside to the place, it's a window service shop. The baristas were friendly and efficient. This is the second day in a row that I've had a really good cold brew add a new to me a coffee shop. Once again smooth, full-flavored, not acidic or bitter. I also picked up a coffee cake muffin. I don't know if they make these in house but gosh are they good! I can't wait to go back here and work outside and enjoy another delicious coffee drink.

I don't know about the coffee, but the pumpkin cream cheese muffin is delicious and moist. To me, it took a little long just to get a muffin. They did warm it up for me though. I was so scared it was going to be dry, but it wasn't! Sorry no pictures. I already started eating it

I wish i could give this coffee shop 100 stars. I went here for the first time today and it won't be the last. Their coffees are SO unique and so delicious. I got the dark chocolate strawberry basil latte. I also tried the Thai brew. The space is small inside but there's bar seating. Outside has plenty of room to sit and work. I'm obsessed with this place. New favorite for sure!

Lucky Lab is a classic coffee shop conveniently located in West Campus. They have well-priced coffee, tea, and bakery items. It is very small inside, and the outdoor seating is not very clean and is shared in a plaza with other restaurants. It is always busy and lively whenever I walk by as it is a great spot for UT students. I've heard the wifi is unreliable.

Great experience and insta worthy coffee and treats! I really enjoyed that you could mix and match a coffee flight instead of them being preselected. We were able to tailor it to our taste and preference. Such a great idea as I always want to try a coffee but scared I won't like it and will have to drink a whole glass of something I wasn't looking for. Love the flexibility to try stuff. I also got a strawberry pastry pocket which was exactly like a homemade pop tart. It was so good! They had a few different options for them, including a savory option with turkey. There was a decent line of 7 or so pairs or people ahead of us on a Sunday mid afternoon. The line goes fast and the woman working the counter was on top of it! She was taking orders and payments and also calling out names for items that were ready to get picked up from the window. They eventually also had someone on the side of the building entryway calling out completed orders as well to help. Inside and out it was clean and picked up, especially the bathrooms. We sat outside in the mixed patio. The price seems a little steep for being around campus, but the quality is pretty high and they have a great variety of options for drinks and bakery. You can also preorder online to come pick it up. You cannot experience the coffee flight with ordering online.

Absolutely LOVE lucky lab! The coffee and pastries are so good - and reasonably priced ($4.25 for a signature latte) compared to other coffee shops. What to order: Hand-pies - the blueberry is incredible! Love the seasonal lattes!! They are always switching it up so there is something new to try. Vanilla cold brew with soy milk - yes you heard that right they have soy milk!! The line is sometimes long - but don't worry! The staff is so incredible and gets you in and out in no time at all. The staff is so kind and sweet - they are always willing to make adjustments to your coffee if needed (i.e. add some more vanilla). They sometimes run really good promotions so make sure to follow them on Instagram so you don't miss anything! Walking distance from UT. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly. 10/10 recommend - you have to go try Lucky Lab!!

Honey Rosemary Latte: 9/10 I wasn't sure if I liked rosemary and was a bit skeptical at first but the honey definitely came through and made this so refreshing and delicious. If you're a die hard rosemary fan I wouldn't recommend it. Vanilla Lavender Sweet Cream Latte: 5/10 This latte had potential but it's just way too milky. It's also lacking on the lavender a bit. If lavender wasn't mentioned in the title I'd have no idea it was part of the recipe. It's definitely "creamy" as described but I feel like I've just taken a big gulp of half and half after every sip. Thai Brew: 8/10 I'm a sucker for a good Thai Tea- especially with boba so I had to try a Thai Brew. It's definitely giving Thai Tea flavor! It doesn't have very much of the milky taste that a thai tea would cause there's only a splash of half and half but it's delicious. If you're in the mood for a tradition thai tea but need an extra boost of caffeine I'd definite recommend. Honey Grapefruit Limeade: 8/10 Wow what a citrusy combination! It was refreshing and tart. Definitely a jaw zinger but super yummy. All in all, would I spend the $22 for this flight again? Probably not but it was a good tasting this time around.

Lucky Lab Coffee has some of the worst-tasting coffee on the west campus (UT dining included). The quality of the coffees and additive flavors are lacking and often disappointing, especially considering the prices. The food is limited and can be stale. The coffee is weak and watered down. "Never do profit shares with them; they might stiff you and give the worst profit share deals without warning customers that if you do not have enough dollars in the transaction to qualify for a purchase, that would go to your fundraiser. Working with them and trying to earn their money can be like pulling teeth from a rusty pair of pliers." --An Anonymous friend The staff do their best and genuinely care for the customers. The Shared Outdoor space is lovely, although it could have more shade and power cords if I were picky. All together it could greatly be improved. I have been an off-and-on customer of Luckylab for about three years and found it disappointing almost every time. The management and the direction they continue is the genuine problem. New beans, more shade, better food options, and more amicable relations, especially with nonprofits.

Giving three stars for the atmosphere and concept. But giving three stars because the product was not great and expensive. I got the winter favorite coffee flight and a vegan dark chocolate banana bread and both were just... disappointing lol. The banana bread was SO DRY and here's a breakdown of the flight. Cinnamon rosemary latte -- got with almond milk as suggested and only tasted rosemary winter citrus cold brew -- got with oat milk and literally tasted nothing.. where's the coffee?! pomegranate vanilla spiced lemonade -- sad to say this was the best thing I had and sucks because I wanted good coffee lol Yule tide - this tasted like coffee because it was two shots of espresso with Thai tea lmao but really not the coffee experience I was hoping for There was no body to any of these drinks, maybe it was my bad for getting them iced because when I was drinking them it was all just so watered down and no coffee flavor. For $25 I would hope for some really epic coffee and pastry... but I didn't get that here. Sad!

Great place for the vibes . Drinks are favorable just on the high end pricing. Food options are limited. Seating indoor could be more accommodating . Overall it's a place to enjoy a coffee and not the flights, might as well by all 4 drinks that's end up being the same pricing.

I love coffee and I love dogs. I have black lab/golden retriever mixes so when I saw this place, I knew I had to stop in. It was busy, but so worth the wait. I got a cute tumbler, a sticker, and a large hot caramel latte. Probably one of the best lattes I've ever had. The coffee has a warm nutty flavor and was smooth. The caramel and oat milk were the perfect level of sweetness without being too sweet. I can't wait to bring my dogs next time I'm in Austin. They are extremely dog friendly, have a great outdoor area to sit in, and the inside, while small, is really cute. Definitely will be back.

COFFEE FLIGHTS! I saw that Lucky Lab had this option and I couldn't wait to invite my friends out to try a flight of coffee. They have a variety of options, various parking (pay at the meter), and you can even bring your dog! I believe it's all completely outdoors so it's perfect for a sunny day. Now, on to the good stuff: Surprisingly, the coffee was less sweet than I anticipated. However, I loved the variety of flavors (lavender and vanilla, cold brew, etc) I also appreciated that they didn't JUST have coffee. The hibiscus was a little tart but the lemonade was wonderful. Would 100% recommend.

I love a good coffee shop. Since I was near campus, I decided to check out Lucky Lab. Been wanting to go for awhile, but I don't wander to campus often. I ordered off of their seasonal menu and the staff here is friendly, with good suggestions. I was convinced to order the Dark Chocolate Hazelnut latte (with almond milk), and also a Thai Brew (iced) for my sister. The dark chocolate hazelnut latte was to die for. The right amount of caffeine kick I need/want and creamy sweetness. The Thai brew was a slight miss for us, bc we expected a little more creaminess, but it seemed a little more watered down than we preferred. Granted I was hoping for more Thai Tea creamy taste, but it only had notes of Thai tea in it. But definitely would return and try again!

Lucky Lab was a local coffee shop that I stopped with a small group of friends to get some studying done during a conference. I thoroughly enjoyed some of the pastries that they had available and decided to go with the chocolate/strawberry Pop Tart which was tasty but slightly dry to taste after being warmed. I also ordered just a regular iced coffee that was your average run of the mill coffee. As far as I can tell, it is a nice, quaint coffee shop downtown that has some good outdoor seating but not a lot available. Would definitely come back again.

I was really excited to try this place after following them on social media for some time. They are always rotating fun flavor combos and seasonal drinks. They have house made syrups, pastries etc. However I left completely disappointed. I ordered the honey nut latte (iced) and what i got was more closely related to sugar water. The coffee was opaque whitish tint and the coffee (what little coffee flavor there was) tasted burnt. The outside seating and patio are great for the university and i can imagine this place is popular with the students for its convenience and good rewards program. Personally i would say starbucks is a few steps up. I really wanted to love this place... i just couldnt.

Their speciality brûlée latte is delish! We had breakfast sandwiches. One w/bacon, one w/ sausage and both were very good! Definitely recommend.

Came here while visiting Austin in search of their coffee flight. Never heard of this in any other city I've been to and I'm always looking for coffee places. I got hot apple cider, gingerbread chai, and two other seasonal flavors that are slipping my mind. The gingerbread chai latte was the standout, and something I wish I could drink every day. They were all tasty. There were also sweet treats and I got a fresh slice of zucchini bread. More than anything, it was a really cool concept for anyone who loves coffee. I noticed this was right by a college campus; I probably would have done a lot better in college if I had a place like this on campus to get hopped up on delicious seasonal lattes. Oh well haha

I ordered a flight and a homemade pop tart pastry and it was about $26, which isn't bad considering. Great location, nice outdoor seating, super cute merch, delicious drinks. The flight was definitely enough to share between two people. Every pastry looked amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Stopped by after my workout in west campus, and I def wasn't disappointed. I was skeptical at first bcuz my friends said the coffee usually tastes watered down, but my 12oz oat latte w/ caramel syrup tasted amazinggg. Perfect amount of roast flavor and not too sweet.

What a cute coffee shop! We were staying near campus and found this place. It has a really cute back patio with corn hole, tables, string lights, etc. we sat outside and enjoyed the nice Texas weather. I had the strawberry rose cold brew. It was ok but I wish I had time to go back and try other things because a lot of the drinks looked amazing! We also split a Nutella banana hand pie which was to die for. We had a great experience here.

Not going to lie the coffee here is awful. I'm not sure if it is something wrong with their espresso machine or what but I have come at least 4 or 5 times really trying to give it a chance and it is genuinely just terrible. But the employees are great and it is a super cute place.

Coffee here is pretty good. Many options to choose from. They do get really busy, so be prepared for a line. However, their service is fast and friendly. Drinks come out fresh and quick. Definitely recommend and will be coming back!

This is my all time favorite coffee spot in Austin but it is not easy to drive to because it is nestled by the IT campus. They have the best homemade pop tarts though.

Great lunch card system for loyal members, amazing seasonal drinks and pastries! Their employees are treated well and like coming to work here, and that is worth more than anything!

First thing I do on every business trip is check Yelp for hella good coffee as hotel/ conference coffee is always dreck. This is right off of Guadalupe street & featured a spacious and clean outdoor seating area. It was 76 degrees on a winter day- fabulous day to enjoy a cortado & pastry outdoors. Pastry was goat cheese & salami- tasted fresh despite my being there last hour of the day. Friendly staff, strong coffee, house pastries- will be back!

Great local business to support! I would recommend the iced vanilla lavender latte with almond milk if you like sweet drinks. They have the best cheese everything croissant! The baristas are friendly, and there is free wifi. The inside seating is very small and limited, but there is a lot of outdoor seating.
