This was my first time here. So, I didn't know what to expect. I got here in the early afternoon, and parking was already full in the immediate Lucky Land lot. But, across the street, I was able to park in that lot for $2. So, bring cash. Anyway, once parked, we made it to the entrance. For some reason, on their website, you can't buy tickets in advance. But, you'll have no problem buying tickets when you get to the venue. I think they take card or cash. Just bring both forms of money for flexibility.
I gotta say this venue has been decorated very well. I mean, I felt like I was in ancient China. They had smaller scale versions of the temples with Emperors, Empresses, and their royal court; smaller version of the terra-cotta warriors in Xian; a portion of the venue that mimicked the Great Wall of China; several statues of armored Chinese soldiers; etc. Well, you get the picture. They also have a souvenir and garment stall. If you want a panda teddy bear or a traditional Chinese dress to bring home, they have it here. I'm not sure how much they charge, though. I think you can probably navigate through this venue in a couple of hours. But, most people stay for the live performances. The only downside was their performances were delayed on the schedule. However, I did enjoy the Dragon dances. I loved all the different colored dragons. Don't forget to feed them some money for their performance. After this, the Kungfu show was just ok. It was kind of underwhelming. Other than that, you can also purchase a ride on the rickshaws here. I didn't do it this time. But, it looked fun.
The food here was quite limited. I just got lemonade and water to drink here. The lemonade was too sweet. For a slightly sweet snack, I did get a bubble waffle. It was not bad. It just wasn't as light or airy as the bubble waffles I used to eat in Hong Kong.
Overall, I'd recommend coming for the experience and getting a taste of the Chinese culture. Come here early to get a good parking spot in the Lucky Land lot.
