"Fine Natural Dining" is the concept here at this pleasant restaurant. Charming staff serve up fully vegan cuisine in the form of a three- to seven-course tasting menu – it's also possible to order à la carte. Made with seasonal vegetables, the creative, plant-based dishes are packed with flavour, and they are just as popular with international visitors as they are with locals. In summer, the best place to dine is on the terrace out front." - Michelin Inspector

Not just for vegans! Incredibly rich course, lots of interesting tastes, and not simple meat substitution shenanigans. You choose from a long evening with 8 course and wine pairing or trim it down to 3 short course and some cocktails. Great service, superb selection of wines. Nois level is great for talking but not too quiet.

This was the my first fine dining experience and I was blown away. The food had such interesting and harmonious combination of flavors, especially the Daikon Entrée. The beetroot barley risotto could maybe use more side dish/topping because at the end of that course I had only the risotto left which was a little bit boring after a while. The avocado ice cream in the dessert was unique and tasty, while the chocolate was just ... chocolate. I feel the dessert lacked a bit of a central theme though. I had the 4-course menu which included an small appetizer (always included), Vorspeise, Entrée (or optionally soup), Intermezzo (or main course), and dessert (or cheese platter). With a non-alcoholic drink I paid €77 including tip. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would gladly come again if there are new dishes.

In a laydback friendly welcoming atmosphere we enjoyed very sophisticated food and such attentive staff. They made sure we were not out of drinks etcetera. I forgot to mention an allergy on forehand but they went out of their way to make sure I could eat everything. We highly recommend this restaurant!! 💚🌱💚

Google
A pleasant plant-based fine-dining experience. With two 3-courses menus we explored all available dishes. Overall incredibly rich in flavors that nicely complement each other, without any overpowering the rest. Interesting play of textures. Standing out is the dessert that while satisfying left us somewhat disappointed for the lack of originality. On the other hand the variation of cheeses was the highlight of the menu, highly recommended. Very appreciated the alcohol free menu pairing. Service was very professional and fast. Removing one star for the unnecessary comments from the waitress about our chosen tipping. Atmosphere is calm and never too loud. Spacing is a bit too tight, seats could be more comfortable.

Google
Food was excellent. It was delicious, innovative and definitely premium. The server was charming, knowledgeable about the food and genuinely on her game. The drinks were great (we ordered mocktails and they were delicious). I had the 4 course meal, and my wife had the 3 and we shared. It was perfect. With the drinks and tip, it ended up being around 130 bucks. I would recommend paying cash as there was a mix up with the payment system with my card and the manager on duty was not very professional. Luckily, I had the chance to speak with the chef and she was very understanding and sorted everything out immediately. On a separate note, this place is NOT child friendly. It's a date place, not a family place. This is an important thing to note.

Google
Lucky Leek is on the expensive side and with that comes a higher expectation for a great meal. I had a super thoughtful cocktail and the wine was very good. On the other hand the first course I had was good but I felt the main dish of the menu was lackluster. It seemed to be rushed and lacked the complexity one would expect at a restaurant of this caliber. Similar textures and flavors served the entire meal left me wanting something more. Lucky Leek has its heart in the right place but I’d like to see it elevate itself with complex textures and flavors for they price and the hype. I would visit again. Update. I came here 6 years later and I think it has even gotten better. Food was elevated and sophisticated and the Chef really played and utilised the natural flavours of the vegetables. Everything was perfectly salted and seasoned. 5 stars!

Google
I was excited to try this Michelin endorsed restaurant, but i am sorry to say it fell short of expectations. The menu was short of creativity and some details, like the hot chocolate, really left lots to be desired. I hope this was just an off night for the kitchen

Google
This was such an enjoyable fine dining experience. The food was delicious and with some super interesting pairings. We left feeling full after 5 courses. The staff were very lovely and helpful (including with our lack of speaking much German!). Will definitely be going back.

Yelp
Great but a bit on the expensive side. While visiting Berlin we were looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion, and Lucky Leek, was the lucky spot. This restaurant is not cheap, and during the weekends it offers only fixed price menus for 3 or 5 courses (additionally it is cash only). 30 Euro for 3 course menu, 50 Euro for the 5 course menu. But with that note aside, the experience is excellent from the moment you walk in. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a date; additionally the servers are very attentive to your every need. The real hero in this experience is the food, and even though some of the dishes are not out of this world, 5 of the 8 dishes we tried were mind blogging. These dishes were carefully crafted, with each ingredient on the plate playing a key role, making each bite a unique experience. Overall, given the price Lucky Leek is not really a go to restaurant, but a place you can go for special occasions, this is a place i would definitely try again if the fixed menus change. My Criteria 5 stars: The best food I have ever had, or an excellent option given the price. 4 stars: Good food, a restaurant I look forward to trying again. 3 stars: Good food, a restaurant that I am indifferent to. 2 stars: Below average experience, will not go again. 1 stars: This restaurant should be closed.

Yelp
Great vegan food, menu changes every 4 weeks. We had 5 courses and everything was delicious. Highly recommending the place.

Yelp
Taste 7/10: The taste for vegan and vegetarians I am sure will enjoy (me included). It's good, but not outstanding. For meat eaters they might give a even lower rate. What I did NOT like: 1) The portions are very smalll. We left this place hungry. 2) the price to Euro value is not the best. 40€ for 3 courses or 65€ for 5 courses that size was a bit disappointing 3) CASH ONLY unless you pay 100+€ 4) Horrible Parking situation 5) Pre-set courses with no flexibility, NOT a la carte What we liked: 1) Decoration and way food was served 2) service was good Would I come again: Probably not. The food was too average and standard for me to consider a return with that price. WHY, WHEN should I come here: If you enjoy courses, you are a vegan and your purpose is to have a nice evening and a conversation with someone where both of you are not starving. You can give this experience/atmosphere a try. Make Sure to reserVe or call before coming here. Parking is hard to find.

Yelp
This must be among one of the top few things to do in Berlin. The food was easily the best meals we've had in all of our trip across Europe. It is that good. I do not rate often, but travelers and people who live here must know how vegan food should taste and the rest that is here in east Berlin. And to top it off the service was equally amazing. Please do yourself a favor and visit this wonderful restaurant. WoW!

Yelp
A trip to this upscale vegan restaurant was my spurge during a short stay in Brelin. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant and it certainly didn't disappoint. The wine pairing with the tasting menu was spot on. Every course was very enjoyable and had some element I hadn't seen before. Most times this was good. One of the few exceptions was the seitan, which was mushy and didn't have the usual firm and chewy texture. The service was great and everyone spoke English. Many spots in Berlin don't accept credit card. This vegan spot does but there is a 100 euro credit card limit.

Yelp
The quality of food and the preparation were really good. The plates were coming very fast, each was supper delicious. Very simple restaurant setting, doesn't require for ladies to dress up too much. 3 course meal costs 33 euros and 5 course meal costs 55euros - and you do feel full at the end. Both waiters speak English.

Yelp
If you come to Berlin and don't experience the Lucky Leek Vegan cuisine, it will have been a culinary disaster. From the moment we arrived till the last dish was served was delicious!

Yelp
After having written the odd Yelp review (small understatement) I always seem to have it in mind when visiting a new restaurant or such. So was also the case when I went to vegan restaurant Lucky Leek in Prenzlauer Berg this weekend. My first impression was that the interior was a little bland (try get an outdoor table if the weather suits..), then after choosing from the menu (which I had already memorised from their webpage, but which also included a daily special) I started to relax and get settled to the place. Other diners were getting their orders, and I was impressed by the presentation. It all looked soooo good! And "soooo good" is not even nearly enough of a superlative to describe my starter: the oriental spring roll with black bean hummus and cauliflower salad. As I was eating this I was picturing giving Lucky Leek THE best review ever, and taking all my visiting friends here for a meal! Especially my meat-loving friends in order to show them what they are missing out on.. But then came the main course.. what a let down! I had opted for the daily special: mushroom risotto.. it was too salty, and had some flavours that was hard to place, but which was very off-putting. Still, hungry as ever, I managed to finish it off.. When I told the waiter, he actually came back with a free dessert and get this! they refused to charge me for my two glasses of wine! That's service for you! And quite surprisingly so, seeing it took them five minutes and an ask to give me the menu, as well as the fact that they preferred looking down into the floor instead of seeing if diners were trying to catch their attention... but all is forgiven, and I will certainly be coming back!

Yelp
The place is really nice, the staff friendly, and the food fabulous. I went there with my mom (not vegan), and we both loved it. Very original and tasty! However, you can only pay in cash if you spend less than 100€ (?), which is a bit annoying

Yelp
I've been wanting to visit Berlin for a long time, not least because it's known as the Vegan Capital of Europe. Months before my trip I started researching the best vegan restaurants and ultimately decided Lucky Leek was The One. I booked a table well in advance to ensure I was not disappointed and eventually got to dine in Lucky Leek with two friends on Sunday 22/10/2017. Our party of three were warmly greeted and given a table and menus. The format is a set three course or five course menu. We opted for three courses (including an amuse-bouche) and it was sublime, without doubt the best food I have tasted anywhere in the world. Each dish was beautifully presented, filled with unbelievably delicious flavours and fresh ingredients. The service was attentive and Riesling complimented our food perfectly. I would fly from Belfast to Berlin again purely just to dine in Lucky Leek. A culinary phenomenon serving exceptional food - this restaurant is so wonderful it has to be experienced to be believed - no words can do it justice.

Yelp
We tried the 3 course and the 5 course menus in August 2018 and both were great! Highly recommend this place, even if much more expensive than other vegan places.

Yelp
I was a very lucky potato to be able to eat in the Lucky Leek! Super amazing vegan food, elegant and tasty!!! And nice atmosphere...

Yelp
Not as good as Kopps for fine dining, in my opinion, but still very good. I like the dessert and cheese plate most, a bit too salty on some dishes but overall deserves the reputation.

Yelp
Me and the misses had dinner here on Thursday the 27th and were blown away. We are both not vegan, but are into a healthy and sustainable lifestyle and we though we'd try it out. We did that once before (cookies and cream) but that wasn't a big success. I'm glad to say, this was a totally different experience. Let's leave aside if it's vegan, vegetarian, or not at all, this was one fabulous meal. Wine was great, service extremely friendly. and we can't wait to go again.

Yelp
I've been here many times and it's always a huge treat. The prix fixe menu that they use on the weekends is, in my opinion, a wonderful thing. It's always an adventure and I've never disliked a dish. This food appeals to vegans and non-vegans alike and is a fantastic spot to celebrate special events or to go to for a date-night. I highly recommend the wine-pairing option with your meal, it kicks the whole experience up significantly.

Yelp
Great food and lovely waitress. Slightly stiff, and quiet. Naff design in our opinion. We wanted to mix up the menues which wasn't permitted, as they followed the rules. But other than that we had great food, good wines, and great service.

Yelp
First things first: This was my very first visit to a vegan restaurant and I really wasn't sure what to expect. Coming into the tasteful and stylishly decorated place, we were greeted, by several of the staff. Good thing we had reserved a table, because on a friday night, this restaurant was definitely at capacity. We decided to both get the "Chef's Menu" (45 Euros) and a glass of wine each (around 6 Euros). The menu consisted of 5 courses, each of which was absolutely delicious and made you forget that animal products were completely missing for the meal. We left the restaurant happy and full, after more than 3 hours. This is also the reason the place only gets 4 stars... breaks between courses were very, very long. The upside was, that this gave us time to try another glass of their great wine selection. If you are planning on paying with a card, pick the credit card. Their high-tech, iPad-based payment system looks really cool, but seems to have some problems with german debit cards.

Yelp
This is a gourmet vegan restaurant. My spouse had the five course vegan meal and I the three course vegan meal. It was delicious, inventive, and served with visual appeal. It is so wonderful to go to a restaurant and know that everything is vegan. It was a casually chic place and one could go there to celebrate an event or just go casually. Although some might find it expensive, when you think of the gourmet quality of the food, it is not. My spouse's main dish was a seitan medallion (that seemed to mimic a "filet mignon," but of course without the cruelty) and my main meal seemed to mimic a "beef bourguignon" (again though, cruelty free). The desserts were small tidbits of deliciousness, cakes, truffles, sorbet and so forth. The wait staff was friendly. Do reserve though, it is easy to do on-line.

Yelp
If you were to judge a restaurant by the celebrity clientele that frequents it, what does it say that we were sitting but a stones throw from (in my girlfriend's words) a 'terrible actress' from the daily German soap Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten? Well, happily not much. This is excellent vegetarian food and the approach here is quality, not quantity something to be aware of if you're particularly hungry (our two courses did, however, manage to fill us despite appearing small on the plate). The menu is small too, with perhaps three options for a main plus the special. The food itself varied between 4 & 5 stars, and while the seitan fillet failed to inspire, the lentil samosas starter more than made up for this. Overall, a really pleasant meal in a nice area, and worth the money.

Yelp
Best VEGAN i've ever had! The three course meal were amazing. I prefer the cucumber soup or their dessert! Or apple risotto!

Yelp
This is by far the best vegetarian restaurant in Berlin. The blend of Asian flavors with Western food is incredibly creative and it tastes amazingly. Wine is well paired and fresh juices are available. If you order the tasting menu plan to have a 3 hour meal since dishes may take a while to arrive to your table, but it won't be a problem if you are enjoying your time. You should make reservations if you want to be seated in a nice table. The decor is very nice and service is professional.

Yelp
Due disclosure: On the night I dined there, I met the chef and owner and realized I know her from a long time ago. I did not know before that she owned the place and I'm pretty sure I would have loved the food just as much without this connection. Which brings me to my first point: the food is just amazing. My friend and I shared 7 courses altogether, 2 soups, 1 salad, 1 pasta dish, 2 entrées (risotto and a seitan-based dish) and 1 dessert and none of them really fell short. And while it's not cheap (starters and smaller dishes 5,50€ to 8€, entrées around 14€, five-course menu 45€) it is by no means overpriced either; the food is easily on a culinary level with regular (i.e. non-vegan) places that charge at least as much, if not more. As you have probably guessed from this statement, I am no vegan but actually an omnivore, but the quality of food here will make me come back. The service was very friendly as well, even when my friend knocked over and destroyed a vase... One last point of critique: The service seemed relatively clueless about wine when I asked for advice - for a place of this culinary ambition, they may want to work on this a little.

Yelp
We went back to Lucky Leek because of the great experience we had last time, but unfortunately it seemed the restaurant took a turn for worse. First the service, we opted for the 5 course menu but only wanted to have 3 wines with it, instead of the full wine pairing. This wasn't possible the waiter told us that we can only have the five wines or order from the wine list. Wouldn't be too hard to remove two wines from the five offered and reduce the price a bit... Anyway, the bad service went on, we had twice the wine only arriving after we almost finished half of our plate and we were actually served once the wrong wine. Leaving this aside, to the food. The starter was delicious with some great texture and flavours, the 2nd course the truffled potato soup was ok but not great. For the intermezzo the veggies were well cooked but missed some texture. It was also a bit bland I would have loved more bold flavours. The main course was seitan with sweet potatoes, yuba and port wine jus. The seitan was cooked well but lacked flavour. The potatoes were good but again nothing special. The cheese course was disappointing but the dessert was good. In the end I have to say that for 200 EUR I expect more wow factor. It is a shame as this was a great restaurant and beside the incompetent service it still is good but for this price range I will go to other restaurants that offer more innovative flavours and overall a better experience.

Yelp
I ran into this restaurant on the way to another Japanese restaurant and I was too tired to walk any further. My host suggested it to me so it's not gonna disappointed, I thought. Before praising the food, I should say the waiter there were most friendly so far in Berlin (happy to talk with you and smily, like American. Other waiters I met are really freezing and not funny). OK, then, the food, is amazingly awesome. The best vegan diet I ever had. A free appetizer served in a spoon on a black wood board, which is really fancy and yummy. I kept nodding when chewing it, but after trying main course I just couldn't speak any word when waiter asked me how it was. I couldn't stop eating and just thumb up. It tastes smooth, rich but light, and mixed with complicated mouthfeel. I will definitely go there everyday if live in Berlin. Above all, vegan is healthy.

Yelp
Really elegant and intricate dishes here. Some very interesting options and the menu is consistently good and changes often. I love it here but only go on special occasions due to price, definitely worth the cost though!!!!

Yelp
A quaint vegan restaurant with decent food. We really liked the cuisine, but I wish they used fresh vegan cheese since I got a bit of indigestion from their store bought vegan feta. Other than that the food was nice. Portions are on the small side, so this is more of a tasting menu- if you are a raw vegan I would probably say skip it, since they often only have a few raw things on the small menu but for vegans etc. it is a great option. They changed their menu so that there is only one 5 course meal on the menu per day, but it changes daily. You don't have to order everything on the menu, so that was nice. We loved the carrot cake dessert!! It was superb! I probably won't go back here since there are so many other fantastic places to try out in Berlin, but it is definitely worth checking out at least once :)

Yelp
Lucky Leek was one of the nicest dining experiences we had while in Berlin (and we loved a lot of the places we ate; Berlin outshines any US city when it comes to vegan options!). The restaurant is classy, upscale but the service was really good, quite friendly and attentive enough (not overly so at all). My partner chose the 5 course tasting menu and I had the red lentil salad and pea ravioli. All the dishes were artfully prepared with a wide variety of flavors and different elements that harmonized well. The ravioli were superb, an interesting combination of tender pea-filled pasta, dabs of apricot sauce, a vegan feta, and braised romaine. It sounds incongruous but it worked and was delicious. Same thing with the red lentil salad, which sound like a simple dish but also contained a sesame encrust avocado slice, lentils lightly dressed with a dill based sauce, and some yummy (smoked?) tofu. It was definitely a pricier place, but well worth it for a special occasion!
