As far as the bar goes, they had obnoxious casino games sitting on the bar itself, as well as a really bad juke box playing. It was super smokey and could tell there wasn't any ventilation.
I rarely do reviews when I have bad service, but the fact that these people kicked me out is disappointing.
Even though Texas law says you can be with your father at a bar and he can buy you drinks, I was denied service because I couldn't show ID. I had left my wallet at the hotel. OK, no problem. I don't mind just chillen and watching TV while dad drinks. I don't even care for drinking, really.
Then, I was told I have to leave. "Bar policy" states that unless I can prove he's my dad, I have to leave. I'm sorry, but it's 1 in the morning on a Wednesday night and there was at most 10 other people there. If you can't bend the rules a little for this situation, then wow. Really, wow. In the end, it's what the great state of Texas has to say. This is a mom and pop joint, not a publicly traded franchise.
