Best Southeast Asian market in San Diego, has authentic Thai products like Fish Sauce and Shrimp Paste and is great for people who love finding hidden gems.

Strong smell of spoiled fish as soon as you walk in. Saw sick-looking live fish in dirty tanks, which was very concerning. I avoided fresh seafood and bought frozen octopus instead , when I opened the sealed bag at home (still frozen), it smelled rotten and was stuck together in a solid block of ice, like it had been thawed and refrozen. I threw it away immediately. Very poor hygiene and product quality. Do not recommend.

Terrible customer service. The cashier working at the first register was extremely rude. When we handed her cash, she snatched the money out of our hand. Throughout the interaction, she was watching TikToks with her phone on the counter and had AirPods in while working. The customer in front of us asked a simple question about tofu after paying, and before they could even finish speaking, the cashier yelled, “I don’t know!” There was no explanation and no effort to help, just yelling. I didn’t catch her name but this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially in a customer-facing role. I hope you take care of this issue moving forward.

Good seafood and dry goods selection. The place doesn't smell as bad as other asian markets. Sometimes, the floor of the seafood department is like a wet market. Shop at your own risk! Their produce department is plentiful but sometimes they are not so fresh. It was persimmon season when I went and they had them on sale for $1.49 a pound. A few days later, they were $.99 a pound but there were lots of rotten ones. Wish they had gotten rid of them as it spoiled the good ones. Their hot food section didn't seem all that clean to me, and I refuse to buy anything from that department. Just like most Asian markets/stores, the people that work there are not accommodating and friendly. If you shop here, don't expect warmth. It's a good place to get your Asian basics.

This is the best spot to look for Asian snacks, it's really cheap and I've been buying lot of snacks, groceries for my family, and their Pho spot is also good too, recommend to try both places out!

Forced to sit at a large 8 people table when requested two 4 people table. Zero service from staff but got charged 18% auto add on tips. Many other pho Vietnamese restaurants to go to to avoid the scam. I repeat, zero service from staff and we had to pay 18% tip for their "hard work" stated on the menu. When is this tipping culture going to vanish from the only civilized country on earth? Isn't increased food price with decreased quality enough?

Hot bar food items were good. Not overly salty and I appreciate that. Fair prices

Pretty good vietnamese supermarket for basic veggies and meats. They are similar to 99 ranch except they definitely have a limited selection of stuff. If you're looking for fresh fruits and veggies you most likely won't find everything you're looking for here. They carry the basics like apples, bananas, grapes, and oranges fruit wise. As for veggies, they have a bigger selection. You'll be able to find broccoli, green onions, red/yellow onions, pho greens, and lots of Chinese veggies like yu choy, or gai lan, etc. They have a meat department with lots of choices, price wise it's not too bad, however the meat sometimes is not super fresh or tasty. They did carry a large variety of vietnamese and french/american snacks, sweets, cookies, and cake mixes. They have lots of cup noodle varieties, asian sauces, fish sauce, and durian goodies. When we're too tired or lazy to go too far we come here for our shopping.

I enjoy shopping at Lucky Seafood because it's a much smaller market than H Mart or 99 Ranch and I can get in and out of the store much faster. They have a large number of items such as, meat, produce, noodles, rice, spices, sauces, seafood and much more. If you're not in the mood to cook, a hot "food-to-go" section is where you can pick up a la carte, ready-made items to take home or to a picnic or party. My favorite item that I love to pick up there is the bags of seedless preserved plum. These items are so hard to find here in San Diego and if you order them from Hawaii, it costs a fortune for not only the product, but for shipping as well. Now thanks to Lucky Seafood, I can pick it up for much less and enjoy it right away.

Don't go to the hot food. Rice is blare no taste at all, chicken over cooked, even with sauce coating, inside is very dry. The rib and the green beans are tasteless too. I feel sick after eating them, my stomach is bloating even now. And the rice smell bad after few hours, I doubt they use bad ingredients, very poor quality food source.

They need to be more forthcoming and honest about their pricing. If they a mistake, they need to own it. I went today to buy supplies for Spam Misubi. They had a wide variety of flavors and the sign says "All Flavors on sale for $4.49". It just happened to be listed under the Maple Flavor Spam. I went to pay and they charged me $4.99. I didn't notice until I left. Once I realized it, I went back and the lady at the service desk had one of her managers look it up on the computer. The manager said it wasn't on sale and that they forgot to remove the sign. Great! They are owning their mistake. She refunded me $1.00. She proceeded to walk to the aisle to take down the sign. I left the store thinking they have great customer service. Nope, the lady found me in my car with a can of the Maple Flavored spam arguing with me that it was ONLY the Maple Flavor that was on sale. The sign clearly states ALL FLAVORS. I had to correct her and say that the sign says otherwise. I am not sure if the language barrier was the issue but I don't trust this store anymore. I think they will rip you off and use any excuse to do it. I'll post the pic here as well. Check your receipts and make sure you are being charged the correct price.

It's adequate. Nothing more, nothing less. The Hot Food Express Deli is a fast casual cafeteria-style spot inside the Lucky Seafood Vietnamese grocery store. They serve up mostly traditional Vietnamese dishes that are surprisingly hard to find anywhere else in the nearby area (too much pho, too little variety). I got a two-entrée plate for $10: Fried rice, thit kho, and char siu. Decently large portions, high-fat, high-flavor pork. Their food isn't winning them a James Beard award any time soon but it gets the job done well enough. Likely won't find many deals as good as this and it's enough food to last the day. I'm sure it's a small, family-owned establishment so please consider paying in cash to help them avoid high processing fees. I'll be back to try their other menu items

Lucky Seafood is an Asian grocery market with pretty good prices. I generally buy vegetables here, and the quality is typically excellent (no rot or wilting). I have also bought fish to be deep fried for free for a quick and easy dinner. I have always found the staff to provide perfectly good and quick service I stopped coming here because I do not consistently carry cash, but they have a minimum purchase requirement in order to use credit card (I think $5). So by default I go to HMart. Parking lot always has a ton of parking, and it is pretty easy to get in and out of this shopping center.

One of the handful of Vietnamese Supermarkets in the area. I tend to go to Lucky Seafood vs H-mart or 99 ranch whenever I desire buying certain things that are focused towards Vietnamese cuisine. The pricing for some of these items are more competitive and variety is better if you're trying to say make Vietnamese dishes like bun rieu, pho, bun bo hue, buy a durian, etc. They sometimes have a exotic seafood like blue crab, crab, different sea snails, oysters at relatively competitive prices. The market gets an "ok" rating because sometimes the cashiers aren't the friendliest or nicest and you're going to have to bag your own groceries while you are trying to pay and not take too much time with them starting to check out the next customer. The meat you buy from the fresh meat counter is packaged in very thin bags, so be careful to not accidentally poke a hole in it. The vegetables can be a real hit or miss. If you're able to drive down to Linda Vista or City Heights, you might have a better shot at getting better quality vegetables and nicer service.

I fall for their frozen fish that reminds me of pond fish from childhood but every once in a while they are tainted and of rotten smell when thawed. I wonder how they source them.

My favorite Vietnamese market in the area. Not only are the produce fresh, their meat selection is huge, and I love the ready made hot foods just like mama makes at home. One of my favorite things about this store is that they carry a variety of rice cakes, shrimp rice rolls, rice paper, and fresh noodles. It's hard to get all these items in one store but LS has it all. The ready made hot food section is delicious with dishes like braised pork belly, fish sauce chicken wings, fried rice and noodles. Rice/noodles plus 2 entrees for $8.99, and the ladies are generous with the portions! They accept credit cards without an additional fee. I always find pretty much everything I need here for Asian cooking. The store is clean and everyone is nice.

Wow, I'm surprised to read so many bad reviews. I guess I've never really interacted with any staff here, as I have never ordered food from their deli section. I just pick up a few essentials, and just pay and leave the store. This place is ok IMO if u don't want to drive to Kearny Mesa ranch 99. I've always gotten veggies here, it's not the best selection like Hmart but definitely cheaper. I've also gotten Chinese sauces, and snacks. The variety of Chinese goods isn't great, but it's a Vietnamese store. You can find lots of Vietnamese products. They also carry some Korean, Filipino and Japanese items. I gotta say, there's a funky smell in the store( but I got used to it already), and they can work on the cleanliness of the store. The lines do move kind of slow though. There were only 2 people in front of me and they didn't have a full cart but the line was still moved slowly. So be prepared to wait.

Been coming here for years when in need of Asian Food or decor. This time around it was for Chinese New Year Envelopes since I forgot to hit up my banker for free ones lol. Wanted some hot food too but they were closed for the holiday. Damn. At least I found some envelopes... randomness I bought a few that had 20, 22 and 25 envelopes lol! IIll be back again for sure maybe for some food or lotto... besides this place is caLled Lucky Seafood right!?

Would give zero stars if I could. Price of Kona coffee rang up as $1.79 each. The other kind UCC is $1.29. I told the cashier that I don't want the Kona. This other lady that works there goes to check on the price. She takes awhile to come back. I needed to get more UCC coffee so I went to the isle to get it. I see the displayed price tag as $1.29 for Kona coffee. I assumed she was going to give it to me for that price, so I went back to the cashier thinking she was going to follow me and talk to the cashier, but then she went off and started talking to other employees. So rude! So at that point I just went back to get the UCC coffee and came back and swapped them out to then get some money back. At least the cashier apologized.

Everything is good , large beef pho and spring rolls, so voracious, yet still take the time to enjoy it, perfect every time.

This is my go to Asian store closest to home if I'm in dire need of some Asian fruity snacks and affordable veggies ! I still prefer Zion, but when I'm pinched for time I'll come here or HMart. Location: Busy Mira (Manila) Mesa off Black Mountain Road ! Parking can be a pain during peak hours but on a slow day you shouldn't have a problem. I usually avoid the crowds and if you can get past the crazy drivers then you're golden. NFCU is across from them so I'll usually get some cash while I'm there. Interior: Like most Asian grocery stores the smells may turn you off. It's all the fresh seafood and raw dead flesh in the back of the store that stenches up the place. Oh and if they have the infamous durian fruit then you're pretty much screwed. I've gotten used to it and usually get in and out of here in less than 20 minutes ! It's not the cleanest or well maintained either so the best you can do is shop smart. This means really examine your fruits and veggies for any mold or expired items. Yep I've had some mishaps. You have been warned. Lesson learned ! My go to produce items when in season are: -Champagne mangoes ! Pricey but they are huge and delicious ! The best I've found. -longans, rambutans, persimmons, and Asian pears can get pricey, but the quality is good ! -Papayas - if in season it is under $1 a pound and the quality is decent. -Thai chilis - inspect these before buying, because some may be old/moldy and they come in packages so you can't pick them out. -veggies: cilantro, parsley, green onions, eggplants, mushrooms, and kabocha squash - unfortunately not organic. This is when the cheapskate in me comes out ! Got to budget sometimes. -Yam noodles - these are great pasta alternatives for low carb meals ! Cheap too ! Customer service: -Hit or miss: I'm a regular so I'm a usual suspect here. I have my favorite cashiers and not so favorite. Sometimes, I'll wait at a longer line just to go to a pleasant one. LOLOL -Most Asian stores aren't known for their amazing customer service. Employees here keep to themselves and keep busy for that matter. Expect some bumping into each other with no apologies as well. Yep got to pick your battles. I just go on my merry way ! Overall, this place does the job! I get what I need and crave and I bounce ! Of course they could improve on customer service and the customers can be more cautious when driving for parking so I guess we break even?! I still gots some love for ya Lucky !!

Decent place to go for Asian grocery shopping. They also have a take out cafeteria style that serves Chinese/Vietnamese food as well. Pretty convenient so you can get your groceries and grab food on the way out. I wanted to give a shout out to an employee. I was specifically looking for some salted preserved plum (champoy). This dude was super nice and took the time to go and check in the back to see if there was a shipment that arrived. He couldn't find the one I was looking for but suggested these seedless sweeter and sour version instead. Turned out that I really liked them. Went back here and got a few more. Really makes a difference when you have store associates who are very engaged with customers and are willing to help. It just makes the whole shopping experience a lot more pleasant.

I've been to this store since 2007. Each time I've experienced ordering food - I can honestly say these women are always talking bad about the customers to their face. (They think customers don't understand their language). ‍‍ Too bad they don't adopt a little patience and stop talking about customers that would be so nice for a change

I'm a little biased here but one star is dedicated to the fact that they carry those clear plastic vertical water containers for rice paper for $7... I tried SF market in Linda Vista, the one market that I thought would be very Vietnamese, no dice. When my friend told me they sell it here and when I found it, omg it's like I hit the jackpot... OK maybe jackpot of $50 at a slot machine kind of joy. You know they sell this plastic thing for $22 on Amazon when it only costs $1.50 to make? Talk about stealing people's money. Lucky seafood, for this fact alone, you win. They also sell the plastic plates with holes to put your wet rice paper flat to roll up your Vietnamese burrito. A pack of 12 costs $8, not bad. Putting my weird obsession about spring roll apparatus aside, their produce were fresh and cheap with a decent variety! Their selection wasn't as big as 99 ranch but it's comparable. They had green onions for only 20 cents! I noticed at least their produce were slightly cheaper but I wasn't sure about other stuff. They also had a deli section. A 3 item entree was $8 including tax, not bad. They packed it full with my 3rd item in a separate container. Their carbs were under salted maybe to even out the flavor in the items. I wanted to try their tofu dishes but ended up with another customer's box when I got home lol. I can tell you their orange chicken was not good but their pork belly was decent but there was a really thick layer of fat. None of this I would've ordered myself because they didn't look good lol. I was at least glad the other customer got eggplant too which was what I ordered lol. High five! That was pretty good. Sorry there, you got all my vegetarian crap for your dinner... not missing out, the orange chicken was not good. If I am in the area again, I'll go in to get some groceries. Not a bad supermarket!

About the only place I can find produce and food right now. I only come here for certain produce and certain seasonings or items I can't find at a big box stores. Produce can be a hit or miss here. Some things are great and priced cheaper than other places. But the quality isn't always there. I like to get my greens here, they have bokchoy, Chinese broccoli, yu choy Chinese water spinach and I love Thai basil. Mushrooms of all varieties are here and priced well. I prefer not to get meats or seafood here. They also have a hot food to go section. They served a variety of hot foods and pre packaged items. They are also connected to a pho restaurant next door. If you need dishes or home supplies you can purchase this items here as well. Overall great for some things but not everything.

I've been coming here since I was little, they have a variety of things here that you can't find at other markets. I can never leave without grabbing a bite from either the pho restaurant or a banh mi from the deli! The hot food deli is poppin from the peppered shrimp to the stuffed tofu! They also bring in new/seasonal items from time to time. I saw my favorite glutinous corn on sale there and was so excited! I can usually only find them in the frozen section so I was really happy. I've always experienced good service here and will continue to go here for as long as I'm around!

This supermarket has a strange smell. If you been here, you would know what I mean. It's not a nice smell either. Also, very rude male cashier. Not my fault you hate your job. Zero star, don't go here!

The price slightly higher than the other market. But you have to look closely with the fresh vegetables. Cause they put them inside and when I got home open up and wash them and found them are rotten inside. And the dry food some of them have expired date on them

FYI......cashiers will very rudely refuse to pack your groceries if you bring your own bag. If you still request them to bag your groceries, they will very rudely tell you to go complain to the manager Poor Customer service.

Stopped by here to grab the ma der ma der sauce. Ended up ordering the hot food from their to go food service inside. 2 entrees for $7 and 3 springroll for $5. The food is pretty decent. Very nice Vietnamese ladies serving as well! They also sell Vietnamese sandwhiches. I think it was buy 5 and get one free. Their sandwhich were around $4.50 each.

I stop by here every now and then to get quick groceries and decided to grab some hot food. Only 1 lady abc she was on the phone and FINALLY came over to serve me. I asked a couple of questions about some pork as we can't do spicy and she gave the rudest look (like "are you kidding?") ... then she went off to pick up the phone again! Finally got something else and left. I'm used to poor Asian service, but this really rubbed me wrong. If she doesn't want the business, don't worry - I won't be back! And, the food? Meh!

Went in early to buy rice and they only got 10 bags on the floor for 25lbs priced at $27, I dropped the bag of rice and went to H Mart and they have a whole pallet 20lbs of rice for $10.99. And at Vin hung $18 for 25 lbs. Sea food city no stocks.

Nice clean shop. Good variety of asian goods and products. Not much of a selection for vegetables and produce. Parking was OK today, sometimes it can get a bit tricky. The staff don't really smile or have friendly faces, but that must be a cultural thing. I never have a problem looking for what I need. If they don't have something here I just go down the street and shop at the other stores.

My mom and I went into Lucky Seafood's food takeout place to get Banh Mi. We ordered 10 banh mis, but you get 1 free when you buy 5 so we are supposed to get 12. It was a Sunday around 11:30am. It was really really busy. After waiting for prior banh mi orders, our order was supposed to be next. However customers ordered 1 or 2 banh mis after us got their order first and kept pushing our order back and my mom and I ended up waiting 30 minutes. My mom got frustrated and told the staff how we have been waiting for a long time and that they should finish our order before they give someone else their 1 order banh mi. I feel like they need number handouts so service can be more organized :) but banh mi is delicious otherwise!

I get that you need 5 dollars to use the card. However, the service was unsatisfied. An old lady took care of me today. However, I was under the 5 dollar mark. I said that I'll grab some items quickly. However, by doing so, she thought it would be great to let the other go ahead of me. I get that it makes life faster for other, but not when they have more than 10 items and the fact that it took me only 15 seconds to go grab an item to make it 5 dollars. But she commented to me that "you took too long." Man... This is the first time I have wanted to snap and complain. I never complain most of the time since I always believe worker are doing their best. However, not this time. I do not care whether you are young or old. Please keep the customer you are taking care of first before you jump to others. I do not have an extra 10 minutes to wait in line just because I am 15 seconds long for you. By the way, the old lady has a very rude and domineering attitude. Such service to have...

The Lucky Seafood store is charging $0.05 CRV for a Grass Jelly can drink made from Taiwan. The aluminum can has a recycle label, but does not have a CRV label on it. I asked the manager why I have to pay 5 cent CRV when the can does not show CRV. I can't bring this can to the recycle center and get 5 cent back. The manager pointed to the recycle label and said it's recycle. Therefore all customers must pay $0.05 CRV. She said if I don't like it then don't buy it. I bet the store is charging 5 cent CRV for every can food/drink they sell in the store. Paying 5 cent more for a can drink is no big deal to me. But the store is illegally charging consumers for something they don't have to pay.

I have been shopping this market for many years, specially for hot food. Customer service not always perfect but I'm a understanding person, I don't like complaints something that not necessary cause we are humans , may they have a bad day or they don't feeling well. But today I was disappointed, the owner ( I'm not too sure is she ?!) . I bought a wrong kind of shampoo so I came back right after & requested for the return the item, but she seem not happy & asked me to exchange a different Shampoo rather than exchange , but I couldn't see anything that I really need so I requested for the the refund . She gave me bad attitude . And I also wonder why I gotta charged CRV can for Tamarind Juice when those cans not redemption value? It was just a question because I don't know, she's working as a customer service she supposed to be answer my question, that's all , why was she get mad at me & give me bad attitude when I didn't complain or say anything yet. And also I was polite to her while I asked her questions.

Not too packed and has a hot food area to buy pre-made Vietnamese dishes. Great place to also get pre shredded papaya salad.

I like this Vietnamese market more than Vien Hung because their produce is better, but I still think Vien Dong in City heights is the best. I don't come here too often, but when I do they have all the things I need for me to cook something Vietnamese. It's fairly clean and they have a keep got food area. Not bad!

If you're asian and you never been to this place you missing out jk this market is perfect for everyone not just asian. My family shopping here for ages we go maybe 2-3 times a week. The store look clean but some of the products I'm not sure how long it sit there like cans food. It's not so cheap for groceries nowadays so we do understand prices went up. We love the meats and frozen session. And we live 30mins away from Mira Mesa but it's always the #1 choice. Meats and fish always fresh they don't often have sale going on so it's hard to find sale stuffs cause they always sold out their foods. FOOD COURT My favorite part. They have foods Togo session where's hot ready foods waiting for you if you didn't bring lunch or live my your self and not even bother to cook. If I live here I'll go to this food court everyday. PARKING We always went early so they're not too bad but regular day it's super busy and we have to park every far. OVERALL love this place will continue to shop here in the future. Highly recommended. Fresh meats, seafoods, and food Togo.

Absolutely horrible customer service the food is horrible the staff is rude and are not practicing safe interaction. They yell at customers and ignore waiting customers...

I always come here for the deli located on the left side of the grocery market for quick, convenient vietnamese food. For two entrees, its about $6/$7 so not a bad deal for a pretty good amount of food. The service is what you would expect out of an asian deli inside a grocery market and the food is alright but I don't expect a 5 star meal with such a good deal. I also love checking out the pastries & bread desserts inside of asian markets because they're always so authentic & fresh. However, this was definitely NOT the case. They keep there "freshly" made breads & pastries in dinky plastic boxes with closeable lids. I opened the lids for a few and I literally was attacked by a swarm of fruit flies... That is so beyond disgusting. Who knows how long those have been sitting out for. Thats just GROSS and makes me question whether anything else is fresh. And if this didn't scare you, I also saw that there was some moldy bread sitting out in the cart below the plastic boxes... EW.

Very time I come this supers still my money , charge over the price, or over the item I all way lost 10$ to 30$ for eotime , some time I check the receipt comp back they return money, some time I don't check go home see it lost $$$ , any one come to this supers please check your receipt before go ha not good I will report to better Bussines , let they come check this business

Everything here is EXPIRED. Meat Oil Packaged food CAN PEOPLE JUST REPORT THEM SO THEY WILL LEARN THEIR LESSON. Honestly feel like they know their shit is expired so they would mix the bad and good ones together so we wouldn't see the bad ones and buy them

Great selection for Vietnamese and Chinese groceries. I usually find everything I need for Asian cuisine here. The take out (combo plates) on the left side of the store is decently priced and tastes great! The Vietnamese sandwiches are my absolute go-to. It's literally the best I've found in San Diego because of their crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside French bread. Oh! And my absolute favorite desserts are sold here! The coconut jello! Extremely pricey for what they are, but a great treat for a hot day! The workers at the food counter are always friendly and kind. The cashiers for the grocery side are okay. They could be friendlier.

This is for the to go food section of the grocery store. First impression: They had a wide selection of food and everything looked delicious. A friend and I ordered a few Vietnamese sandwiches (1 siu Mai, 2 BBQ pork) and upon arrival we notice a few things have changed since last came here 4-5 years ago. It use to be buy 3 get 1 free and now it's buy 5 get 1 free. They also raised the price to $3.75. I try to put in my order and the girl just stares at me. It was really awkward. And then she finally takes my order when I ask "can you take my order?" So she gives someone the order and the two employees who prepares the food has got beef between each other. I end up standing there for 15-20 minutes for nothing because neither of them prepared my sandwiches. Turns out the Mexican lady had asked the Vietnamese lady to take care of it because she's busy putting together lunch boxes for the many customers coming in. She literally went through almost ten customers and this Vietnamese lady had done nothing. :| The girl who took my order apologized but it was really disappointing to see it affect their customer service. While waiting I start to notice a lot of other things that just made the place seem very unsanitary. There were flies everywhere. They had boxes with prepared fried breads but I wouldn't resist it even with a lid because it seems the customers would accidentally leave them open from time to time. The hot foods only had a glass between the customer and employee so plenty of open space for flies to float around. I finally get my sandwiches and leave. The dirty thing I noticed in my car was how pungent the smell was. I don't remember Vietnamese sandwiches smelling so unappetizing. When I finally got to eat one it was further disappointment. The pork was imcredibly fatty (spat a lot of it back out) and none of the BBQ flavoring a were on it. The whole tasted like it was made in a dirty oven. I don't think I will be coming back. Terrible customer service and terrible food. One star for the girl trying to apologizing in the end but even that was more of a half star since she ignored me in the beginning.

Waited in a long line only to be told $5 min on credit card. Then the lady points at a small "$5 minimum" sign at the end of the counter. If you can place two "10¢ a bag" signs on your register I'm pretty sure you can also place a larger "$5 min" sign at the beginning so people don't have to jump out of line and wait all over again.

You'll be able to find broccoli, green onions, red/yellow onions, pho greens, and lots of Chinese veggies like yu choy, or gai lan, etc. They have a meat department with lots of choices, price wise it's not too bad, however the meat sometimes is not super fresh or tasty. The hot deli usually is pretty busy during lunch time but I steer clear due to reading horror stories on yelp. When we're too tired or lazy to go too far we come here for our shopping.

I gotta admit, this is fairly clean for an Asian supermarket. The smell is hardly noticeable and it's fairly organized. Even though this place caters towards Vietnamese cuisine, you can find plenty of other items needed for other Asian food types. What's cool is that this place has Vietnamese sandwiches! if you're here just for some Asian vegetables and have an empty stomach, order at the side restaurant on the left, vegetables are a little bit farther, then come back for your sandwich. Easy and convenient! Yes I'm Filipino and prefer Seafood City, but that's far from the freeway. This place is closer and includes many Asian food stables I get such as fish sauce, soy sauce, and items for sinigang and pancit.

The fast food section: there is chubby cash register lady name Thao, I think. She is very stingy on serving food. For 2 items combos, she has only give you 1 fish and 1 piece bitter melon soup for $9.?That is pricey. Other time, she put in and took out for less. Others serving ladies are very nice and generous on serving food. I don't think I will coming back soon :(

The "to go" food has really declined over the years. My bitter melon was greasy, the flat noodles bland, & my chicken was raw.

Love this place. I only gave 4 instead of 5 stars because we don't really get checked on for water after the first initial pour. But other than that, the food is amazing. My boyfriend and I have gone here a couple of times already and haven't been disappointed. We also got take out from here and they put everything in a nice big box for easy traveling. I definitely recommend. We always get the #1!

I actually just frequent this place to get my weekly lottery tickets as I feel there's something about Lucky in their name that will help Me win! I also live only a block away. Lee is usually there with a big smile and is always nice to say hi to. They have a good produce section as well.

This review is based solely on the irresponsibility of one of Lucky Seafood's workers in the meat department. I've been coughed on twice by the same man who works at Lucky Seafood. The first time was when I was shopping for vegetables. He stood behind me and coughed in my direction with his face mask hanging by his chin. I should have asked him to cover his mouth right there and then because the pandemic was still in a dire stage. Today, the same man coughed in my direction as he walked out of the meat freezer. The pandemic is no longer in a serious stage; however, inconsiderate people might spike up the numbers of sick people for not following safety protocols.

Pros: - convenient in-house deli / pho shops - competitive pricing - friendly staff Cons: - checkout lanes could be more spacious and plentiful * Notes * : Though workers try their best, English is a secondary language to Vietnamese here so it's sometimes difficult to communicate with the employees. They have a few fluent English speakers who roam the store front near the entrance if you need additional help. Also, if you buy 5 baguette sandwiches at the deli, you get a 6th free!

The place is not as crowded as it once was before H-Mart opened, and that's probably a good thing for shoppers who don't like crowds. I stopped by the other day to pick up some stuff, and went by the fresh fish area. I noticed a sign that read "Tilapia" $4.99/lb, under a tank of live fish. Only problem was the fish in the tank were Catfish, not Tilapia. So know your fish by sight, and you should be fine. Unless you think catfish tastes like tilapia and that it doesn't really matter.

Being a pescatarian, it is hard to find dishes that are not mixed with meat. This place offers noodles without any meat, just noodles and veggies. I ordered 3 pounds of it to feed a few of my girlfriends. The flavor is plain, but it was still good.

I cant believe the lack of crowd control going into this establishment during this time. I'm sitting here in front of the store in my car waiting for my wife and can clearly count more than 10 people within minutes going in. Umm...how safe is that? Clearly the owners are not concern about the safety of their customers let alone their employees. My wife informed me Pricing for items are alot pricier too. Again clearly for the money!!!
