Lucky Skewers Chinese Restaurant

Amazing food, and lovely small casual & family-run space (They have more space downstairs as well). I loved the fried golden buns, lamb skewers, the scallops and the fried enoki which was full of flavour. To me this feels like a very authentic place for chinese food and will definitely come back. Reasonable price too :) late lunch is a good time to go with a group as there’s not too many people!

All the food here was so so tasty. We had a selection of food including noodles, veggies and meat skewers. All of it was clearly high quality, well balanced and exactly spicy enough for my English palette. The staff were all exceedingly friendly and gave consistent quick service. There was bottomless tea as well which was really appreciated. The standout was the wontons in chili oil, I dipped everything else I had in the sauce at the bottom of the dish. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing food. Especially enjoyed the BBQ skewers, they got the seasoning just right! Paired with the plum juice you can't go wrong.

Love this restaurant! Been a few times now and will be back many times more! The food is always delicious and very fresh, highly recommend the salt and pepper oyster mushrooms. The owner is so lovely, and the service is great. They also have a veggie menu with really great options.

Having been here a few times now, I would say Lucky Skewers is a consistently great place to eat, and quite possibly the best Chinese food you’ll find in Angel. It’s slightly tucked away, which seems to make it a good place to stop by even if you have not got a booking, and there is a downstairs seating area, so do not be discouraged if the upstairs looks busy. At our last visit we had the sweet and sour pork, chicken sweetcorn soup, egg fried rice, and beef fried ho fan – all absolutely delicious. The staff is incredibly nice, friendly, and attentive. For the high quality of the food this place is really good value. Would highly recommend eating here!

The portions are huge and the food tastes great — the grilled skewers are especially delicious. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend making a reservation in advance.

I loved the scallop skewers most of all and would recommend this! The pork belly skewer is also really delicious. Great choice if you're in the local area.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The food was fantastic—each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional customer service. My friend and I were so pleased how helpful everyone was, warm and genuine. I accidentally spilled my Coke Zero all over the table, and on the floor, and a staff member came over with a smile, quickly cleaned everything up, and brought me and my friend other drinks—on the house! Her kindness and generosity made us feel so cared for. It’s rare to find such a combination of excellent food and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this place to everyone I know!
