Penn Quarter Has a New Cafe and Sangria Bar With Patio Seats | Eater DC

"Next door to the cafe, District Bowls operates as the attached mini food hall option for fruit bowls and wellness items; I found that bowls are built on one of three bases— açaí, banana, or greens— and the “Rock the Red” bowl combines strawberry, raspberry, granola, coconut flakes, and honey. The space also devotes sections to gelato, wellness shots, juices, smoothies, and whimsical waffle sticks topped with fruit and powdered sugar (one variety even comes with bacon crumbles, peanut butter, banana, and honey), and its walls are decorated with colorful, geometric art. I also learned the group recently signed a lease for another District Bowls location in Centreville, Virginia." - Tierney Plumb

They had a remodel some years ago and the place looks pretty new and clean. We went here and on the weekend and it was a bit crowded of course. Got a 2 hour slots ahead of time, easy check in process. When we got to the lane, we ordered our food. The table was shared between two lanes were pretty small. We got 2 drinks and wings with spicy peach flavor. Pretty decent wings for a bowling place. Over all experience, we enjoyed it and would come back.

The bowling setup and lane were great, and the food was amazing! It was nice that the lane could accommodate one player with bumpers, so kids could join the family fun and score well too. However, the front desk staff tried to sell a higher-priced package even though a weekday offer was about to start in just 5 minutes. It would’ve been more customer-friendly if they had informed us about the offer and suggested waiting until 7 PM to book. That’s why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, it’s a great place to have fun for about 2–2.5 hours with a group of four.

I had such a great experience at Lucky Strike Centreville! The atmosphere was fun, clean, and welcoming, and the customer service was top-notch. Huge shoutout to Ty for his excellent service — he was friendly, attentive, and really made sure we had everything we needed to have a great time. It’s rare to find staff who go above and beyond like that. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this location to friends and family!

Google
10/10 service. I have been going here all summer and the staff here is so kind and friendly. Ty in particular is one of the best employees here and he has given me excellent service on numerous occasions. Drink and food prices are very good here as well. Not too much nightlife in Centreville but this bowling alley has definitely been great for the nightlife scene because it is open late. If you are stopping by in Centreville this bowling alley is a must try.

Was put on a waitlist and was told the wait was only 5-15 mins. Never got any confirmation text that we were on a list. Thought phone number might’ve been put down wrong so I asked the guys at the front desk and was told they would look into it and let me know. Never let me know. After about 20 mins, double checked with the guys at the front desk and they said it shouldn’t be much longer. Cool sure. After over thirty minutes, double checked again and same guy said “I’ll give you an exact estimate in 5 mins.” ….. Shady. 40 mins later, we just left. Never got any text message that our slot was ready. 🤷‍♂️

Always have a great time bowling at Lucky Strike in Centreville, VA. Want to give a shout out to Matthew who works at the front desk. He is always friendly and efficient. Even when the place is super busy, he stays calm and provides outstanding customer service! You are lucky to have him on your team!

We made 3 lane reservation for 14 people, and for making a reservation of any kind they charge either reservation fee or event fee, which is not little. Also once you are in, all the food and beverage you order will be charged the event fee of 20% as well. I feel like Lucky strike, Bowlero, Bowl America all these chains being under one mother company really monopolized the bowling industry leaving the customer with no other option than to pay the exacerbated amount in the name of admin fees, really ruining a lot of the fun experience. On sight service was attentive and good which I appreciate, but monopolizing and ripping off of customers who try to have a good time for fees that are illogical has to change.

Yelp
This bowling alley was super busy this Sunday when we came. We came at around 11am and we are still here killing it. The four of us came in including my sister and her two kids, and they had a blast as well. The place has everything that we needed, even great nachos and fountain drinks. The younger ones played a couple of rounds, and have so far spent the other half of their time in the arcade. Most of the alleys were booked yet I didn't see too many other groups waiting for an open space. This place is a great way to spend a boring Sunday, and there is plenty to do. The shoe rentals and game prices were also very affordable. We will for sure plan another outing here in the near future.

Yelp
I came here and celebrated my sons 22nd birthday. To be honest I had a blast . I reserved online and our party stayed for 2 hours. The price was very affordable. The place was clean n the staff were super nice and attentive. Best of all I was very surprised at their quality of food it was great and very well priced. They even chilled are cake while we bowled I would come here again no doubt about it.

Yelp
Great lanes, good music and not too crowded but the food service is super slow. We'd still go again though bc we had a blast.

Yelp
Bowling alley is ok. Lanes are very inconsistent if you have your own ball/are practicing and are in a league. Some days there is a lot of oil and some days there is none. They also use string pins. If you are going for family entertainment this is the spot but if you want to actually bowl go to the manassas Bowl of America-usually busy with league.
