We had the coca mocha nut and bullet coffee. Both of them had a unique flavor and added flavors did not over power the taste of the coffee. We also order a cookie and. chocolate muffin. The quality of the cookie and muffin was good. I can tell its fresh. I prefer more breaded texture baked goods, this was more flaky. I would recommend all of the items we ordered. The atmosphere had a relaxed vibe. I liked there unique decorations in the shop. Each sitting area had character. A good mix of seating options from 1-2 seat tables to target group sitting areas. There is also seating in the common area of the building where Luckys is located.

One of the best things about Lucky tree is all the local art and fares, in addition to the wheat free decadent treats, and creative coffee menu. Great vibe to catch up on emails at your laptop, or chat with friends. We especially love that it's a quick 5 minute walk from the Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, such a lovely way to spend a warm morning, in the midst of all the cool trees, sipping on a delicious beverage and devouring a double chocolate gluten- free muffin!

Stopped in on our way home and we'll definitely have to come back! I ordered a Honeysuckle latte and it was excellent. My husband got a Honey latte and loved it. But goodness the breakfast bites are craveworthy! I'll have to try the tomato mozzarella ones next time! It's a cool space with local art and jewelry for purchase.

Stone Cold atmosphere. No smile no greeting. Asked for a Bullet with cron the side. I got Cream with Coffee. HORRIBLE! I went back they would Not comply with iriginal order. Gave me an espresso shot. They said "We ran out of coffee" yeap! A coffee shoppe ran out of coffee. Left with the espresso I threw away. Lost my money. Breakfast biscuits are totally dried with no taste. We were a group of 10 that purchased a lot of tasteless DRY food. Most was thrown away. Lucky Tree is OUT of Our place to go to when visiting Raleigh again, and for the residents residing there that were with us. Be wise, and spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

We ordered cappuccino and tomato basil bites. The coffee tasted excellent and was value for money. The bites were costly and we expected some dip or salsa on the side as they were a little dry. The ambience of the cafe is serene, homely and artistic!

Google
We found this place while looking for a coffee shop with gluten free options for a client. The artwork and atmosphere looked really cool, and it showed that they had a lot of vegan options also. So we figured we'd need to check it out ourselves. So glad that we did because all of their baked goods are gluten free. And they list all of the ingredients, which is a difficult thing to find these days. Most of the items are vegan also, and well labeled. The coffee options were also fantastic. I got the Hippee Latte with oatmilk and my daughter got an iced Mocha Latte with oatmilk. Both were delicious, as were the Chocolate Chip Muffin and the Oatmeal Cookie Sandwich. This is definitely a place we'll come back to try again!

Another go to for my wife and I. Lots of cool 😎 art stuff and knick knacks. Food and Coffee are excellent 👌!

Google
Cute little cafe that offers great gluten free muffins. Little trinkets and recycled art are for sale and the whole shop has a rustic vibe to it. It’s a good place to study as well.

Yelp
Stopped at Lucky Tree after an early morning run with Urban Run Club Raleigh. This is an adorable juice, smoothie, açaí, breakfast spot right in the center of Moore Square. I got the iced strawberry hibiscus tea, very light and refreshing!

Yelp
First spot in North Carolina and it's super cute! Stopped by here because I liked the name tbh and it was nearby so I thought why not. All ingredients and coffee is organic and they use natural sweeteners which I love. They also sell a bunch of cute things. Art, jewelry, wallets, souvenirs, etc. I got the honey suckle latte with almond milk, which is a matcha latte which I got warm but maybe it's because I had it immediately and 25 mins before closing. My mom got the chai tea latte with agave and it was delicious!! It tastes like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal milk but make it cleaner. I really liked that one. The cafe is super cute, the decor is bohemian and nature-y. I love the different chandeliers they have and the music is light but nice which makes it a nice place to have a nice conversation or even read or work. They put the baked goods away but I was told that they would bring them out if I liked which I really appreciated. We were served by Smurthy and she was so lovely. Definitely gonna come back to really spend more time here. PS: love the staff outfits. So so cute

Yelp
Got tinnitus from being in there. Your workers could sue for unsafe working conditions for such extremely loud construction happening there. Even patrons, if anyone has the nerve to go get checked out. I'm sure I got hearing loss from being exposed to someone using power tools all afternoon. There's no assumption of risk here, no one would expect to be exposed to deafening levels of decibels of someone using power tools at a coffee shop, and I know it's not a worker doing this because it's a sunday, so it has to be someone's pet project over there. It's beyond annoying, my ears physically hurt and they're ringing. Honestly, I should go get checked out and serve you papers. Fucking inconsiderate.

Yelp
What a cool coffee shop off of Hillsborough st! loved that they also were selling local handmade items and goods. The drinks were very reasonably priced compared to other coffee shops in the area. The inside is spacious with lots of seating. Our drink came out within a few minutes of ordering. I would rate the drink a 4/5.

Yelp
We stumbled on Lucky Tree Café by chance after strolling around Raleigh Market this afternoon. And honestly, it made our day. The Lucky Tree is a cozy little café right across the street from Meredith College. It is part coffee shop and part art gallery. We ordered an iced coffee, a hot chocolate, and split a chocolate chip cookie. All three were incredibly tasty. The staff here, three women and two guys this afternoon, could not have been nicer. They were super friendly, and customer driven. A live pianist was playing while we were here today - that added even more so to the vibe. We loved the entire experience at Lucky Tree. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
This place was great! In an old factory style building that has been converted into a mall. Tons of great looking drink options. I got a strawberry soda (with flavor made in house) which was so good! My husband got a latte which he also enjoyed. The perfect place to chat with friends on a nice afternoon!

Yelp
I'm such a huge fan of Lucky Tree. I don't make it over there as much as when I was in college but it's always so nice when I can grab a coffee and work. It's a beautiful space and they have great coffee and baked goods for you to enjoy. They also have jewelry, soap, candles, and other trinkets for purchase. It's also such a funky space with a lot of seating. Parking can be tricky if you go later in the day because they share a lot with other businesses.

Yelp
This place is loosing its appeal. I've been there about 80 times in 1 year But the help could care less! I asked for a coffee I order on hot days I always get a regular coffee in a larger cup to hold extra ice The "bossy" young lady who served me up charged me 50 cents. I saw it anc said I always pay 2.71 for the small She insisted that I am getting the larger cup I said it's just more ice She would not price it as I paid 80 times before ... so I walked away This employee was not an owner or manager. No one has that assignment (as I asked for one) Apparently anyone who serves can make up anything they want And . It seems they prefer to piss off a regular customer than give up that 50 cents Btw I have done many nice things for the help there !! Apparently, none of that counts when they want to be "right!!" I really now have to decide. Should I even go back to these "money grubbers!

Yelp
Found this cute coffee shop/bakery while out doing errands, and it came in clutch! Such a beautifully decorated spot with lots of natural light. I definitely wouldn't mind spending a day reading here. With a vast menu of baked goods, and delicious drink options (they have seasonal drinks as well), I had a hard time deciding. Decided on the honeysuckle latte with oat milk since I was in the mood for matcha. The matcha was a little grainy, but tasted pretty good. Loved how the interior sells locally made/crafted goods! Also left with a couple of soap bars, since I couldn't resist. Would definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area!

Yelp
This place has a nice vibe the moment you walk in. The merch is local artisans work. The decor is unique but best of all, my iced Hibiscus Latte with Matcha was refreshing on a warm day. The cafe is located right by a large sports bar but you would never know it. Will be back!

Courtney B.

Yelp
Loved the Moore Square location! Easy access to marbles childrens museum for a caffeine hit! The owners were fantastic and great to talk to. Coffee was delicious!

Yelp
The staff was very nice and the service was fast especially for quite a packed house. Full of handmade local art, picked up a birthday card and some stickers for a friend while I was there. The espresso was flavorful and not burnt. Me and my friend had an amazing time. Lots of lovely seating and amazing decor.

Yelp
Sort of an artsy, inviting, grass roots kinda vibe when you walk in. There is the option to purchase art, pieces of jewelry, coffee by the bag, etc. I enjoyed my iced chai.
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Excellent vibe great coffee excellent service. Greta place to chill and study, or just relax. The shop is filled with art and items for purchase in addition to the variety of seating from couches to comfortable chairs and bar stools. 11/10 recommend.

Yelp
What a cute place! Greeted by the sweetest group of guys who were kind and attentive and I must say made the BEST chai tea I've ever had! Creamy, spicy and full of love!

Yelp
my best friend and I love catching up here to do bible study and grab a delicious iced matcha and snack, the berry oatmeal is great too and Christian the fellow that makes the drinks is so kind

Yelp
I really do not know what the hype is here. I've been several times and I don't know what it is but the flavoring of the iced lattes is just disgusting. At first I really thought I could get passed it as just being different. But the more I have tried it it's truly just disgusting. I've also tried the breakfast bites a few times and they are SO DRY. Like crumbly overcooked dry. Every single time. Really disappointing considering how the reviews rave about this place but I just do not see it.
google avatar

Yelp
Lots of space if you're looking for a spot to spread out and study or work. I love their breakfast bites!

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop and crafty gallery of homemade items like jewelry. Yummy vanilla maple latte and picked up a Christmas ornament too!

Yelp
Atmosphere: Lucky Tree is a quirky, artsy coffee shop with great decor. In addition to pastries and drinks, they sell art and other fun trinkets. There is a decent amount of seating inside. The shop gets nice natural light during the day while having a more warm, moody vibe closer to nighttime. Service: The baristas were very nice! We were trying to order the Honeysuckle Latte but due to some confusion, they gave us a Honey Latte instead. When we pointed the mixup out, they quickly and kindly gave us the correct order with no issues. Food: The Honeysuckle Latte was one of the most unique and flavorful matcha lattes we've tried! The latte was sweet but not overpowering, with notes of the earthy matcha flavor still presenting itself. The latte was made with care and purpose, which showed in its taste and texture! Overall: Lucky Tree's environment and our delicious drink made for a great experience at the shop. It is a relaxing, cozy spot to study, read, or hang out with friends. We'd easily recommend Lucky Tree and would come back again in the future.

Yelp
Very cool coffee shop with lots of creative upcycled art pieces. There is a lamp over the counter made of coffee cups and coffee filters. There's table with gift items like handmade jewelry. Friendly employees, good coffee, really great overall vibe. If I lived in the area, I'd be a regular.

Yelp
Although the food was good, it took an exceptionally long time to get served and then get our food. I expressed my allergies and they made it wrong the first time. The restaurant wasn't very busy(imo). Once the right food did come out it was good. My friend enjoyed her (non vegan Mexican mocha and her jam) I had the cauliflower chorizo.

Yelp
Love this place. The coffee is always good. The tomato basil biscuit bites are a nice way to start the day. The staff is always cool. The interior is really cute. And they always have a lot of neat little things for sale

Yelp
Love this coffee shop, great latte, creative healthy pastry and captivative decor. It gets crowded at times.

Yelp
This place was so cute! Plenty of seating, and you can even sit in an extra hallway at the back of the store. I ordered an iced vanilla maple latte with oat milk. My friend had hers with regular milk, and we both agreed that the aftertaste reminded us of cereal milk. Next time I really want to try one of teas that looked amazing.

Yelp
Yummy wheat free deserts at a very reasonable price. Really great atmosphere and decor.

Yelp
A few months ago I made a list of coffee shops I wanted to visit in the area & this one was on the top of the list. Partially because the reviews I saw were amazing & it seemed like such a creative artsy space. When I first arrived there were three people ahead of me in line. I watched as the barista was super friendly with them all, gave suggestions, and seemed kind. I spent my time browsing around all the items they had for sale, some of which were so cool- rings, mugs, knitted hardware, earrings, little gift sets, etc. unfortunately when it was my time to order the barista wasn't very kind and walked away before I even finished paying. Keep in mind I was using apple pay. She mumbled something about my drink being out or something while walking away. anyway, I ordered the honeysuckle latte which was matcha and honey. I had it made with whole milk. I liked the latte, just wished it was a little sweeter. However I didn't feel comfortable asking for more honey or anything for the latte. The two stars are for the awesome space- how unique and creative it is! As much as I liked the latte I wouldn't go back because of the customer service.

Yelp
Looking for recommendations on places to read and someone suggested Lucky Tree. I honestly had no idea they were there after driving by dozens of times. Lots of parking. Wouldn't recommend for a quiet place though. Was a bit noisy.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice cozy coffee shop. Friendly staff. Good coffee. Had and americano and an almond cashew bar- yum! Neat local art on the wall. Great ambiance. Music playing but not overly loud. Nice environment.

Yelp
Returned to lucky tree this month (finally) and continue to recommend this establishment to others. This time I ordered iced Earl grey tea and a banana nut muffin. Their baked goods are gluten-free and the banana nut muffin is AMAZING. It is so soft and moist. The iced coffee and tea were bland. They did steep the tea long enough, however, it tastes very watered down. Similarly, the iced coffee tasted diluted. Our order was accurate, although they were out of watermelon cider so apple cider was subbed (per our request). The atmosphere continues to be eclectic and welcoming. We recommend this establishment to others!

Cody T.

Yelp
Overall a great place to hang out or work, but it is time for the owner(s) to replace the old green chairs. Basically sitting on springs at this point, not to mention they are pretty low to the ground compared to the table
google avatar

Yelp
Such a gem...I've loved this business since it was located downtown Cary many years ago.. It's eclectic and unique with great finds, art, coffee and treats. My Lavender latte was so yummy with my cashew bar. Definitely recommend for a morning cup of Joe, a sit and chat etc...

Yelp
I'm a fan of Lucky Tree! It's a spot I've heard about for awhile but kept forgetting about it. They are located over by NC State. They are also super close to my dog groomer so it is the perfect spot to grab a coffee and get some work done while I wait for my pup. I have to say their Vanilla Maple latte is one of my favorite lattes, ever! I'm a sweet latte person and this latte is super flavorful, smooth, and just overall delicious. If you are into flavored lattes I highly recommend it. I've also tried their chocolate mocha latte and while it was tasty it definitely isn't very sweet (which they tell you in the description). I haven't tried any of the food items but they look great. Seating varies depending when you are there. I've been in when nothing is available and when you have the pick of the place. This coffee shop is interesting since outside the shop in the main building there are a ton of additional seating options. If you wanted to study with a group it is the perfect spot, you just have to step into the main building. Parking is easy, you may just have to walk a bit. They have a garage behind the building, but Lucky Tree is just on the opposite side.
google avatar

Aitana B.

Yelp
This might be my favorite coffeehouse on Hillsborough St. The music here is fantastic, but the coffee is even better. I am a sucker for the honey latte. It warms me right up and keeps me motivated to finish my work. Parking here is easy, and there is an ice cream place next door if you have a sweet tooth. If you are looking for a good place to do some homework ro read, you have found the perfect spot!

Yelp
3 out of 5 for the coffee, minus 2 out of 5 for the service. This is a case of a few bad apples spoiling the basket. 75 percent of the workers are decent enough at their jobs. There are two in particular who are not; Donovan (pony tailed guy) and Emory (short curly haired blonde). Between them, they have refused to serve me in favor of flirting with other customers, played around on their phones after taking my order and ignored me, handing me broken cookie crumbs in a bag and charging full price, underfilled my drink and acted uppity when I asked them to fill it properly, and scowled at me from across the room for as long as I've been coming in for no discernable reason. I got so tired of it I had to start sitting outside to get away from it, but the passive-aggressive hostility hasn't slowed down. This is just not acceptable. I've complained multiple times over the last few months, but nobody has taken action to rein in these two individuals' behavior. Since there is no manager on duty, there is no adult to keep them in line. I have officially reached my limit. I recommend that you walk the other direction if you see these either of these two, unless you enjoy condescension. I certainly will be, as I have no interest in paying money for this kind of treatment. Their attitude is an insult to me, their own place of work, and their more capable co-workers.

Yelp
The atmosphere makes this place! It is very artistically pleasing and has their own homemade chocolate. All the ingredients in their pastries are clean. As a body builder I am always cautious of what I eat because it can upset my stomach. All the pastries have the ingredients shown and are made fresh. Gluten free options as well. The drinks have milk substitutes which is a win for me since I'm lactose intolerant. I had a chai latte with almond milk and their Banana Cashew Bar. Both were delicious and not too sweet. The Bar was a big portion and well priced (my picture shows half of it. Delicious !)All their pastries were 2-4$ and make fresh and with clean ingredients. Can't get better than that! I still need to try their homemade chocolate and their coffee which I have been recommended.

Yelp
Excellent coffee & muffins. Coffee was great & you get a lot of bang for your buck which is always nice.

Yelp
Loved the decorations and vibe! And my coffee was very warm and cozy like this place :) I have been thinking of this place since I last visited it. I also loved the jewelry and art you could buy. Perfect coffee shop to stop at on my birthday!

Yelp
Went into the lucky tree this morning. purchased one of their vegan muffins and cashew bar. As she set it on the counter, a cockroach crawled out of the bag onto the counter. I called the girl over and she was kind of freaking out. I swiped it on the floor and stomped on it. She didn't ask me if I wanted a different muffin or my money back. She was in a state of panic, asking her coworker for help. I just got my change and left and threw the muffin and cashew bar in the trash.Have been here several times to get coffee while working on the local railroad. The service has always had this underlying Bohemian snobbery to it. Coffees good but I'm not quite sure the cleanliness standards are up to par. place seems to have a pretty steady clientele. I will not return.

Rita G.

Yelp
OMG. Being vegan doesn't mean forget any flavor. The bakery items we purchased were like eating cardboard. It was absolutely horrid. We had the bite sized bisques and they were inedible. The oatmeal was disgusting. The coffee was not good. There was absolutely no flavor in nothing we tried. We won't be back. I am amazed it was as full as it was but I noticed no one was ordering food... there is a reason for that.
google avatar

Leena A.

Yelp
Love love love! Gluten free kitchen ! Try the golden chai. It's absolutely delicious and addicting.
google avatar

Allison B.

Yelp
Fun coffee shop with local crafts and goodies for sale. Definitely a louder spot, so probably not the best place to study but better to meet up and chat. Coffee was okay, but price and size was good for a local shop.

Henry J.

Yelp
If this review was on ambiance alone, this place would get 5 stars. Unfortunately, the espresso drinks are heavy on the milk with no other option than to use a to-go cup, and the pastries were lacking in flavor. Overall a let down

Yelp
I came to Lucky Tree and LOVED IT!! Best coffee shop in the Triangle! Emery took my order with a smile and Donovan made me the best maple latte I've ever had. They sell local art and I was able to snag a GORGEOUS crochet crystal necklace made by a local artist. The owners are sweet and so is the vibe. I will be stopping by every time I come to Raleigh. :)

Yelp
Lucky Tree is a hidden gem right across the street from Meredith college! There are so many parts of this place that I love. Lucky Tree has delicious coffee and baked goods, but that is not where it stops! It also doubles as a local art & gift shop! While you are waiting for your latte, you can shop some high quality and unique items. I also love the seating area. There are big communal style tables and also little cozy corners with hip furniture! The staff is top notch and super welcoming! My only two drawbacks: 1) Bathroom: They don't have a bathroom in their space and you have to walk into an indoor mall type space to get to it. Make sure to ask where it is so you don't get lost like me! 2) Parking: If you come here on a Sunday during the NFL season, you will have a hard time finding parking. There is a New England Patriots bar next door and an insane amount of people crowd it! Come any other time, you will not have a problem parking! :) Definitely put this of your coffee shops to check out! You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
TLDR: Great place for interesting coffee mixes and teas. Super granola (in a great way), and not for those who are into super sugary drinks (e.g. Starbucks). Not necessarily an every week coffee shop, but a great place to go with a friend. Location: Solid parking options off of Hillsborough. If you want to meet a friend for coffee and don't want to deal with parking in downtown or move deeper into Hillsborough street where parking is much more difficult, this is a great spot. There is garage parking available as well but usually you can easily find parking. This feature of Lucky Tree honestly is one of my favorite parts. (E.g. if you want to have a quick business coffee / meet up you don't want your counterpart to be struggling to find parking in the precious lunch hour). Coffee: Not really a place if you are into hardcore pour overs / dialed in espressos and drip coffee made w/ a refractometer. BUT, awesome place if you want to try interesting coffee blends that don't entail syrups that come out of pre-bought plastic jars. They make their own vanilla / mocha. I usually like the beans to be the thing that shines, but their blends are subtle and they use great ingredients. *** key thing to note *** if you do love that syrupy sweetness of Starbucks and love sugary drinks, this isn't the place for you. If you like subtle flavors, then this is your spot. Next thing I want to try: Eventually want to try their oatmeal -- they sell it in the store as well and have several different options in store.
google avatar

Yelp
Lucky Tree is a great spot on Hillsborough Street (near NC State's campus and across from Meredith College.) They offer great coffee options as well as specialty lattes. All of their baked goods are gluten-free and very reasonably priced. My favorite is the Vanilla Cranberry scone. There is often a live musician which adds a nice vibe but can be loud/distracting if you are going to work. Also, the seating can be difficult during the day if you are going to stay for a while.

Yelp
Went here during their open mic night to watch a friend sing. We ordered a few items and were pleasantly surprised! I love how quirky the place is! The drinks were great and so were the chocolates we ordered. Definitely excited for the next open mic night to try more foods!
