This place is super cute and friendly! When you come in, they give you a welcome shot of one of their cocktails to start, which was very appreciated. We enjoyed our cocktails, mine was covered in a gorgeous black salt. As usual, the drinks in Austin are insanely expensive, but I guess I was prepared for that. I had the Tenentea shot and the Sanguine Howl. They were tasty but I still think quite overpriced.
For food, we tried nearly every dish that was available that night, including the CHICKEN BAO SANDWICH, DEVILED EGGS, AHI ROLL, KIMCHIDILLA, ASIAN-GLAZED WINGS, and something that came with tater tots (I can't remember now). Everything was pretty good. I liked the deviled eggs a lot, and the chicken bao. I thought the ahi tuna was a little weird on the bread for a lobster roll, since it seemed more like a raw item that would go better with a fresh crunchy something-something. The kimchidillas were also just so-so.
Service was good and we had a nice time. It is kind of like a very upscale dive bar. The food is just classier/fusion versions of regular bar food, and then they have very fancy drinks, but it is mostly a bar/lounge setting versus a restaurant. The tables are all coffee tables and the seating is mostly lounge-style, so it is kind of hard to sit and eat a meal. I felt like I was really having to bend over the table, which isn't the classiest look. I would still go back and probably sit at the bar...although they were playing the new Scream movie at the bar TV, which I also thought was a little weird (and dive-bar vibes).
