Lapeer Seafood Market Opens in March at Alpharetta’s City Center, Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Hoping to open in March at Alpharetta City Center, this 3,000-square-foot seafood restaurant and mezcal bar—co-owned by Louis Soon and led by chef Blake Hartley—will offer a daily-changing menu of fresh-made pastas and seasonally driven seafood, highlighting line-caught fish, East Coast and Gulf oysters, Alabama crab, and tuna from Louisiana. The bar will feature more than 100 mezcals available for cocktails or in one- and two-ounce pours. The interior is accented with white and green tiles and white walls, includes a raw bar and main dining room, and seats roughly 125–140 guests; there's also a greenhouse-inspired, all-weather patio. The venue will open for dinner at first, with plans to add lunch and a weekend brunch within a few weeks after opening." - Beth McKibben

My Grandfather's birthday lunch was fantastic, thank you! He loved it. He got a French Dip with Root Beer and French Onion Soup, and I had the Char Grilled Salmon with Brussels Sprouts and Potato soup!

We drive 50 minutes to go here! Every dish has been amazing! We have had the pleasure of being served by Mel multiple times and he is fun, engaging, and very knowledgeable!!! We like this place so much we have given out gift cards to several friends and family!!!

2025 Came back in 2025 for Mother's Day Still great! Prime rib excellent! Today I tried the "French Onion Soup". Great! Only good if you like onion. Also tried the "Fettuccine Alfredo". My wife had the two lobster tail and the "Chicken parmesan". This was all good. Nothing bad. Today I gave them 5 stars!! They earned it. Service was great. No issues. Highly recommended 2021 Two words. Prime Rib. Yes! This was one of the best Prime rib I’ve had. Nice and juicy. Cooked long and tender. Not the Best, but good. My wife had the crab legs and lobster tail and which she said was good. The only draw back, not cooked long enough. If you cook it for a long time, the meat melts in your mouth. It was tender but not perfect. Still, the prime rib is highly recommend! Enjoy this Lucky’s !

Google
What a great place to eat. We went there for lunch and had the best lunch in a long time. The food was all very good. The bread is so good too. We had a really great server. He really put forth the effort to make sure everything was perfect. So hats off to him. We went July 23 for lunch. We will definitely be back!!

Google
I ordered takeout from this steakhouse and everything went perfectly. My food was ready right on time, and my entire order was accurate—no missing items, no mix-ups. It’s great to see a place that values attention to detail and makes the takeout process smooth and stress-free. Looking forward to ordering again!

My husband and I stopped in Monday for lunch. I wanted a wedge salad, he had a Ruben sandwich. The waitress served our food, and it all seemed okay until I looked at the salad. I now know why they keep their lighting low. The lettuce was brown, limp, and looked old. When you charge $9 for a quarter of a head of lettuce, some dressing, bacon bits, and a bit of tomato, is it too much to expect it to be FRESH? The quality of this restaurant has declined greatly. Portions smaller, higher prices and apparently “old” food.

Google
I recommend Whitey's in Davison instead. Better fish, better shrimp, better bread, better prices. The food that's good is very good, but some of their dishes taste odd. Recommend: ribs, onion and potato soups, French fries. Seafood not the best, not the worst. Fish and chips, and coconut shrimp alright. Their cocktail and coconut shrimp sauces taste odd though. Bread and butter ok. We did NOT like the stuffed grouper, super soft. I didn't like the fried shrimp, but daughter did. The mashed potatoes were warm, not hot. Red potatoes were just this side of undercooked. Also yelling "coming in!" repeatedly next to our table wasn't much fun.

Google
Delicious dinner, they don't do anything for birthdays though. She ID me for my wine, I said of course it's my birthday. She did nothing after, just gave us the bill when we were done. Steak was good, I wouldn't get the lobster again though.

Yelp
I got the chicken scallopini and it was okay. Very caper and feta heavy. Loved the fresh tomatoes in it and the chicken was moist. They have other things better than this (grilled chicken and angel hair is my favorite).

Yelp
Second time here in 60 months, this time to celebrate a birthday. Started out with making reservations for the wrong Lucky's (Imlay City). No issue as we were seated promptly and our server Heather and newbie hire took our drink orders. I like the fact that they have rotating seasonal beers. Impressed that Bells Christmas Tree was one of them. Our dinners were the Stuffed Grouper and a Parmesan Cruster Grouper. Sides were a House Caeser and regular salad. Ssides included a loaded bake Potato and Garlic Green Beans. The value, the service and tastes are some of the highlights one should go to any of the Lucky's. Thanks to all

Yelp
The ambiance and service were great, but the food was just not. My son got the filet and lobster tail and a side of Mac and cheese. It was all just very bland and the lobster tail was really sad-looking. I got the shrimp scampi, which was also really bland and the sauce was really watery. My daughter got French onion soup and Mac and cheese. The soup was good and our waitress did a great job taking care of us, but the food was really subpar (except for the soup and the warm bread). In fairness to the restaurant, I didn't complain about any of the food, but I just don't plan on coming back.

Roy S.

Yelp
There cook's at blind fish do not know how to cook I order a steak medium-rare. It was cooked almost well done. If you go here do not order steak if you like medium-rare because this happen every time I go there.

Yelp R.

Yelp
The waitstaff has always been rude. I'm not sure why, especially during a carry out; it requires no real interaction. My mom got food poisoning from here from bad (already dead) mussels a couple of years back. I feel like I consistently hear about other people getting food poisoning here, that they serve shellfish and sea food that's been dead for a while.

Yelp
I come here often with my wife , as one of our local "go to" restaurants. Our server tonight, Heather, was amazing. She went above and beyond to treat us right. The food here is always great and the drinks are strong. Bon Apetit

Yelp
Thought I'd try this again since it's been 6 years and they updated the menu. It was just my daughter and I, and it wasn't busy. They might have been at 20-30% capacity. Our service was bad and the place is just as dirty as it was 6 years ago. smeared food all over and dusty as all get out. scraps of food and garbage all over the sticky floor. I asked for a loaf of bread when our drinks came and we placed our orders. A few minutes went by - didn't think anything of it because sometimes they're waiting for fresh bread to come out of the oven. The waitress started walking towards our table with bread, and I got excited! Only she walked right past our table and put it down at another table of six that had just been seated. Bummer. She then brought our soup out, and I asked again for bread. we ate our soup, but my daughter found something weird in hers that resembled a large piece of dirt. Our dinner came out. Still no bread, so I asked a third time. now my drink is empty so I pushed it towards the side so she would see it empty. My fish was way overcooked and dry. my daughter's crispy shrimp were soggy. Lobster tail was covered in burnt paprika. nothing to wash it down with. Almost done with dinner, and bread finally comes but she just tossed it on the table avoiding looking at us and kept walking. Still no drink refills. Waitress never even asked how anything was or if we needed anything so I just asked for the bill and left. waitress acted like it was a chore to wait on us and was clearly annoyed to be bothered with a table of two. I waited tables for years and am no stranger to leaving a 30% tip for great service. Lost opportunity! will never return. Seems all of the luckys have gone down the drain. Goodbye & good luck luckys & blind fish.

Yelp
We were in town for a wedding and wanted a little date night while out of town. Based on the good reviews, we picked Lucky's. The Long Island's we ordered were done correctly. Many places we've been either add too much coke and it tastes like a pop or they add too much sour mix and it tastes like bad lemonade. The bartender perfected the craft of a Long Island. Our waitress, Kayla, had them out in no time at all along with the complimentary bread. The bread had good flavor but did have a little doughy flavor to it without actually being doughy. We each ordered steaks. One was the Cajun Ribeye that was perfectly cooked medium as ordered. The onions and red peppers were a really nice touch, though it did lack some Cajun flavor. The garlic mashed potato side was delicious! The other was a Porterhouse steak. Also ordered medium and it was cooked perfectly. It would be a shame to add anything to the steak, no A1 needed at all. It was extremely flavorful and juicy. The baked potato was also good. Cooked well, no complaints. At the end we asked Kayla to pick her favorite dessert on the menu and without hesitation, she said the carrot cake. So we asked her to put some in a to go box as we had absolutely no room left for dessert. It was a top notch carrot cake (and we eat a lot of carrot cake). It was moist, flavorful and the frosting wasn't overly sweet. In the event that we're in town again, we will absolutely be back.

Yelp
Visited with my wife and 3 adult kids and the food was disappointing. Stuffed shrimp side was served to 3 of us. It was not good. Tasted like it was old and off... none of us ate it.

Tina W.

Yelp
Very good place to eat. Had the prime rib dinner. Would definitely recommend. Service was great. Husband was happy with his seafood dinner. Would go back again!

Yelp
Great vibes, great food, and the staff is solid gold. Heather was attentive, fun, and on top of everything with our group celebrating a retirement. Thanks, Heather!

Yelp
Our party of six had dinner here about 4:00 on a recent Sunday afternoon. We were seated immediately and our server was there as we were being seated. All of our party were happy with our meals - well prepared and served hot. To make a long story short, we were all pleased with the service, the food and the ambience to enjoy it in.

Yelp
Great service. Nice decor. I had the prime Rib, with baked sweet potato. All was great. I would return my next time through the area.

Justin T.

Yelp
the place gets better and better every time I come here for lunch with my brother and my grandma, the stuff grouper is awesome with the potato soup. I love the theme of the interior of the restaurant like it was the 1990s' service was great and I recommend the fish they have, fresh and juicy.

Janet F.

Yelp
Our waitress forgot things, got orders wrong. The main meal came out in stages, not together and the most simple meal, my grandson's burger came out last and was cold, had to be remade and took 20 minutes. Oh and they had no end cuts for well done prime rib, pink inside. Not good

Yelp
Food is delicious, really only concerns is every time we eat here we shewwwing away bugs flying Throughout restaurant..

Yelp
Service was good and they were amazing about drink refills. The food was amazing, me and my girlfriend could not get over the fries, we highly recommend them

Yelp
I'm not one to normally write negative reviews, but this is by far the most disgusting restaurant I have ever eaten at. What I ordered was the crab cakes and shrimp with French onion soup and red potatoes on the side. I got the French onion soup first; it was like a thick gravy with a tub of salt and smelt like dog food. Then came the entree; the shrimp was edible at least, but not very good, and even the cocktail sauce had no flavor. The crab cakes were the worse. They were complete mush and not edible whatsoever. The red potatoes were served last, and didn't even look like real potatoes; looked more like red cabbage, and I was afraid to even try those at that point. My husband's food was also terrible... Neither my husband or I wanted the waitress to feel bad, but we also didn't want to lie to her, and we honestly told her that the food was bad. She offered to have our food re-fired to which we declined. She then relayed our complaint to the manager who offered us a piece of free cheesecake, which seemed like an insult. The problem was the FOOD... Nothing tasted fresh whatsoever, tasted like it was probably frozen for a long time and then thawed out when we ordered it. The manager didn't even have the decency to apologize to my husband and I directly, or offer us a discount, let alone offer a refund. This tells me that the problem here is management, and I can't believe a place like this is in business.

Yelp
I bring my family here once a week . Food has normally been pretty good. Last night they were a bit busy we gave them our number we waited they called us and we were seated. .the table they sat us at was under a fan so we were cold so I asked if we could move to the booth behind us which was empty so was 2 other booths and 2 tables. The hostess came to us and said if we want to move we would have to go out side come back in and get back in line. REALLY WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THAT! I watched that booth and it sat empty for 18 minutes. We ordered an appetizer stuffed mushrooms which we always do. The mushrooms were so small it was hard to find them under the slop they covered them with. We ordered dinner and waited almost an hour to eat. In the mean time that booth was seated 18 minutes after us got there dinner before us ! Same food prime rib and steak. Now we are getting pretty mad . Our food finally came and the ribeye was really tough hard to chew the prime rib was just ok . My green beans were nice and hot and grean. My wife's green beans were cold and brown. THIS PLACE HAS ABSOLUTELY GONE DOWN HILL IN THE LAST YEAR ! DONT KNOW IF I WILL EVER RECOMMEND OR EVER TAKE MY FAMILY THERE AGAIN!

Ellen L.

Yelp
New Year's Eve, 5 pm, out of lobster, A-1, brussel sprouts, and asparagus.....and the drinks are beyond weak. What a terrible experience on such a special evening. Never again!! The serving staff is very pleasant and apologetic. Whoever does their purchasing needs to be let go!

Tammie E.

Yelp
Extremely rude waitress Amber, during my visit on 7/31/24. She forgot to bring items we ordered then got an attitude when she was reminded of our order. Her attitude escalated even further after our concerns were shared with her manager. She expressed to her manager that she was ok with losing her job. No problem with the food but the service was horrible!!!
google avatar

Daniel H.

Yelp
The best Ribeye I have had in a very long time. It was super tender cooked to perfection. A super size sweet potato and asparagus . I recommend the the stuff mushrooms for an appetizers. Are waitress was some what Ok Seemed a little preoccupied, could use work on personality. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone

G S.

Yelp
Food was good but not great. Prices were reasonable. Alcohol was a bit pricey and the bar drinks were awful.

Yelp
Lucky's Blind Fish Grill was absolutely amazing! The wait wasn't bad, 15-20 minute at the most! The menu is pretty extensive! Our server was attentive and my iced tea glass was never empty!! I had already made up my mind to have the stuffed grouper! I had a sweet potato that was so huge, I ate it for 3 days!! (My side Caesar salad was wrapped to go and was still delicious on Monday) The hubs had the ribs-he enjoyed them! My sister had tortellini (added shrimp) and the French onion soup. BIL had prime rib-I would have liked it more rare but he ordered medium and enjoyed every bite! This restaurant is AMAZING and we WILL return!

Karen F.

Yelp
Another one of our favorite restaurants! The stuffed mushrooms are fantastic. I love their golden margarita! My daughters and I love going there and the bread is always freshly baked that they give you for an app :-) good weight, staff and fun environment a good fun time to go out to eat.
google avatar

Marie B.

Yelp
I truly enjoy coming to this Lucky's restaurant. It offers so many more seafood entrees then the other Lucky restaurants, hence the name difference. I order either the trio shrimp dish or the stuffed grouper. I have never had a bad entree. The Caesar salad is very good although the crotons for us are greasy. So we usually ask not to have them. The baked potato or sweet potato are huge and tasty. Whenever in the area this is a go to place

Cliff G.

Yelp
This is so sad that we go out to eat three people spend over $100. We had a great waitress about the food was horrible. The wife ordered a fillet that was like shoe leather. Dad ordered a perch dinner that was so overcooked and tough. I ordered shrimp and french fries, we received the shrimp but never got the fries till everybody was done eating then I sent them back. I can't believe this place gets reviews like this people still keep going and they don't do something to change it.
google avatar

Yelp
Bartender ignored me when I got there at 4:05pm.then when a couple came in and sat down next t me. She kept saying that she will be with us it a minute. They decided to go somewhere else. She didn't put my order in until 4:30. I asked where my food was at 4:45. It was cold when she brought it out. I didn't have time to eat there. She can't manage making drinks and serving customers at the bar. Really rude and sloppy looking. I will never go back there. I went to Davison after my meeting and they were packed. I haven't had dinner yet, it's 7pm. That Bartender doesn't deserve her job!

Sam R.

Yelp
I have it on good authority that the kitchen at lucky's leaves much to be desired and that if we saw it, we probably wouldn't eat there. Is this true?

Jeff M.

Yelp
The blindfish is a great restaurant. The food is always consistent. The steaks are always cooked perfectly. The staff is always friendly and the restaurant is always clean as well as the bathrooms. The prices are extremely fair.

Ruth S.

Yelp
Manager, Jennifer Adams, refused to accept a $35 gift certificate because the "system had changed.". The gift certificate had no expiration date. Owner, Lucky, already had this money in his bank account. It took Ms. Adams more than 25 mminutes to get to our table to discuss the matter. She had many options to deal with the situation but chose not to. Needless to say, Blind Fish lost four 20+ Year customers over $35.
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
The small town of Lapeer has a hidden secret. Blind Fish restaurant has the best atmosphere and food choices. The bread you get with dinner is to die for and they even have it set up so you can call in and come pick up bread if you have the craving. The managers, wait staff and bartenders are very nice and always have smiles and a helpful attitude. The wait times are always within 15 minutes even at there busiest and the private bar area is very quaint and has lots of top shelf choices and tv's all around. They have plenty of parking and keep there parking lot clean and well lit at night when it can be difficult to find your car after a few drinks too many. The inside has the dark wood and warm character I like and they keep everything clean in the dining area, kitchen, bar and bathrooms which is a must but not every restaurant does. Give them a try and fall in love with this small town gem.

Debbi M.

Yelp
Never had a bad meal here! I love the calamari. I usually make that my meal! We've been there several times. Always great service and food
google avatar

Padma A.

Yelp
The food was good, wait staff extremely polite nice little restaurant ..., the portions are gigantic and we ended up wasting a lot of food. Definitely, great bang for the buck !!

Steve M.

Yelp
I've eaten here several times, both dining in and for takeaway. The food is generally fine, and fairly priced, but my last takeaway experience was decidedly subpar, in a few different ways. I ordered as soon as they opened, and was told to expect my food in 20 minutes. In a large restaurant with people sitting only at two tables that I could see, it took more than 30 minutes to receive my food. I wasn't able to pay until the food was delivered to me in the lobby, taking even more time. The 'bowl' of soup was in a container smaller than used previously, and was barely half full at that. A fish and chips order for which we'd requested extra tartar sauce came with none. I had interactions with two different employees - both seemed disinterested and nearly sullen. I expect I'll eat here again sooner or later, but for me, they're currently 'on probation' - another experience like this one would probably be the last.

Yelp
The angel hair pasta with salmon was just incredible. Haler gave great service. Great visit with my mom!

Mc B.

Yelp
Used to be great, now everytime I order a filet mignon it's never cooked right and/or full of gristle.
google avatar

Krystal T.

Yelp
We used to frequent Blind Fish and have always been so impressed with the service and the food. Went here last night and was very underwhelmed with the quality of the food. The bread wasn't fresh and was dense. The sides were soggy. The main course seemed as though it was previously frozen and reheated. It's disappointing because they used to have higher quality food and prep. The service was fine and the restaurant seemed clean. Just very disappointed in the quality for the price paid.

Penny P.

Yelp
Went here for dinner tonight. My friend had the shrimp sampler and I had fish and chips. Both were delicious! The salad was even delicious and had a variety of fresh greens... not just iceberg! Wait staff was attentive and checked in frequently. The pre-meal garlic bread is fantastic!

Kayla F.

Yelp
I have eaten here before ..and don't get me wrong the food is delicious. But I will not eat here again after seeing the employees walk to the nearest gas station with their aprons on, the ones they cook with for their customers. Taking out the garbage with their aprons also on and smoking outside with the same aprons they use. That's gross and these are the people making our food and the same ones bringing in their germs. No thank you blind fish I'll spend top dollar somewhere cleaner.

Barb B.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped by at luckys Blind Fish at around 7:00 PM last night and ordered a dinner take out he ordered fish and chips with Brussel sprouts and soup , I just has surgery on my mouth so I couldn't eat anything but soup , his Brussel spouts were so over cooked he couldn't eat them and his small pieces of fish were also overcooked and tasted so bad he couldn't even eat them , I ate the soup which was just warm not even hot! What a waste of money, we will never go back ,I would have taken it back but didn't want to wait another 30 minute for the same disgusting food !! I am giving them 1 star because at least the bread was warm , and the girl that took my order was very nice!

Gary F.

Yelp
First off, it seems to be a nice atmosphere. Our waitress did a great job of being attentive. The first was just ok. Nothing spectacular by any means. We ordered the calamari appetizer, and it was like eating tire rubber. The toughest, chewiest calamari I have ever had in my life. Unreal. Then we ordered dinner. Chicken Marsala, and crab cakes and shrimp. Food was okay at best. Then, I used the restroom. Unbelievable. It has a smell to it. First of all. Second of all, I wash my hands afterward, and these are the faucets in the bathroom. This type of bacteria and nastiness doesn't happen overnight. If I had to guess, these faucets haven't been clean in months. Completely turned my stomach. Don't tell me management haven't been in the bathroom to notice this. I'm not sure who is in charge of making sure the bathrooms are cleaned when they are needed, but they should be fired. Completely disgusting. I will NOT be returning.

Amara M.

Yelp
the service here has gone so downhill. I'm here right now writing this cuz I'm so unimpressed. Im hoping this the waitresses first day- otherwise there's truly no excuses. first she forgot the bread, and it didn't come till after I got my meal. we got an appetizer and she brought that, no plates. Didnt even have bread plated to use instead because- no bread. I had to ask for a refill on my drink. my meal didn't come with the usual lemon slice I needed. my naked potato was literally just barely over room temperature - so she took it to the back and they microwaved it. Theyve also taken all the appetizers that were good off the menu or changed the recipe. This place just isn't what it used to be.

Yelp
First time home to lapeer on 20 years . Recommended by hotel so walked over. Ordered calamari, ribeye steak with sweet potato fries and clam chowder. Ok so first I am retired navy lived in New England and Seattle area entire career so I kind of know seafood! The calamari I don't know what that was but it sure was not like any calamari I have had and I have had it all over the world from Portugal to Southeast Asia unless someone caught a giant squid and sliced it up that was definitely not calamari. The chowder well I am sorry to say was no better 2 bites was to much very thin and very few ingredients I.e. clams , potatoes etc. the steak sorry was definitely subpar! The sweet potato fries were spot on service was

Yelp
I've given this place many chances and they've all been negative. Had to wait 3 hours for a big party. Tried carry out instead and it's just as bad. Ordered soup and salad + bread, with 20 minute wait time. Didn't have the order after 45 minutes, they "didn't have a order under our name." They finally bring out the order and it's only soup...absolutely horrendous service, go to Imlay Luckys instead.

Roxy M.

Yelp
Great place for dinner. Always buzzing with people. I think they have the best balsamic vinaigrette (I know odd thing to comment on, but it really is amazing). Great steak and fish and very reasonably priced. A variety of sides as well. You'll be pleasantly surprised!! One slight disappointment (for me) however, please bring back the bread and the croutons you had! They were different tonight and definitely not as delicious as before!!
google avatar

Susan B.

Yelp
Anyone who knows me knows that I love love the blind fish restaurant but yesterday we ordered carry out and I will tell you it was the worst food that I have ever eaten!!! the bread was not done nor was my stuffed shrimp my husband ordered prime rib medium he got it rare typically I don't complain too much but I was very disappointed so I think I'll wait a few weeks before I eat at the blind fish again or ever!!

Yelp
We recently had a company dinner here, a party of about 14 people. The service was fantastic, even with such a large group our waitress was right on top of getting drinks and appetizers out to us very quickly. The food was very good quality, we had calamari, mushrooms, and the sampler platter for appetizers, and everything was delicious. I had never had calamari prepared that way and the sauce it came with was spot on. For my main dish, I had the steak and stuffed shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes. My only complaint was that the potatoes were dry and pretty bland for "garlic mashed". But overall it was a really pleasant experience.
