Friends and I ate at Lucky’s tonight for the first time since their June opening. Hostess and server were very friendly and the manager (had to ask who he was) popped by our table after the meal to say hello, but all lacked a certain upscale professionalism. Rolls warm and crusty, but herb butter lacked flavor. My friends shared the bone-in rib eye, creamed spinach and braised mushrooms - they RAVED about the steak (no extra sauces), liked the spinach but left the mushrooms untouched. We all agreed my mushroom risotto was completely flavorless. Gigantic warm chocolate cookie on a plate with vanilla ice cream / chocolate syrup in separate containers for dessert tasted fine, but presentation could be improved. Server really messed up our check at the end, but rectified and he apologized. Loved the contemporary decor.
