The Best Restaurants Near London Tourist Attractions - London - The Infatuation

"Ah, the Tate Modern. Many a happy hour has been spent here staring at a urinal we mistook for a Tracey Emin. And if you’re a glutton for punishment, it’s a 20-minute walk along the Thames to the London Eye. To round off a day of sensory overload, head to Southbank’s National Theatre where you’ll find Kerb @ The Understudy. It’s a casual street food spot serving beer, tacos, and an excellent Nashville hot chicken sando from Lucky’s. A deep-fried chicken thigh, slaw, spicy mayo sauce, and tangy pickles are stuffed between two thick slices of buttered brioche toast." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, jake missing

The 18 Best Restaurants Around Bankside & Southwark - London - The Infatuation

"You could pass through Waterloo a hundred times and you still might not know that some of London’s best fried chicken is just a short walk away. Inside the National Theatre you’ll find Lucky’s Hot Chicken at The Understudy, a casual street food spot serving beer, tacos, and an excellent Nashville hot chicken sando. You can choose your heat level, from ‘country’ to an extra spicy ‘good luck'. Don’t bother paying extra for buffalo or blue cheese sauce on the side—this sando has more than enough flavour." - heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna

The Best Hot Chicken Sandwiches In London - London - The Infatuation

"You could’ve passed through Waterloo a hundred times and still might not know that some of London’s best fried chicken is just a short walk away. Inside Southbank’s National Theatre you’ll find Kerb @ The Understudy, a street food spot serving beer, tacos, and an excellent Nashville hot chicken sando. A deep-fried chicken thigh, slaw, spicy mayo sauce, and tangy pickles all stuffed between two thick slices of buttered brioche toast. You can choose your heat level, from ‘country’ to an extra spicy ‘good luck’, and pay an extra pound for buffalo or blue cheese sauce on the side. But this sando has more than enough flavour so it’s almost a shame to dip it into anything." - rianne shlebak

If you’re into bold flavors and serious heat, Lucky’s Hot Chicken is the place to be. Their fried chicken is top-tier, with an incredible sando that’s crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The tenders are just as impressive—epic crunch and full of spice. Fair warning: the spice levels are no joke. I love spicy food, but even the medium heat was intense, so tread carefully if you’re thinking of going hotter. Thankfully, the authentic blue cheese sauce is the perfect cool-down. Beyond the chicken, the beer selection is a standout. With over 20 craft beers available, there’s something for every palate. Whether you’re after a refreshing pint or something more complex, the beer range here delivers. Spicy, crispy, and perfectly paired with a cold beer—Lucky’s Hot Chicken is a must-visit. Just be careful with the heat!

Plant-based chicken sandwich was FIRE. Crispy chicken is well balanced with coleslow, however next time would probably opt for the spice option below medium - I love spicy food, but the medium blew my head off, I struggled to taste anything apart from chilli. Chips with buffalo sauce are 😘🤌

To be honest I'm really disappointed, I've been eating my way through the Nashville chicken spots in London and was in the area so decided to tick this one off Got 4 sets of tenders at 4 different spices. Only the country flav one seemed to have any flavour. the rest lacking spice and lacking flavour. The chicken tenders were small, the chicken looked old and discoloured +had a weird texture to it under the breading. Service was good Everybody was very friendly.but food underwhelming. I may give it another shot at Thier other branch but won't be in a rush

Overly loud (it was the Thursday dinner time before a bank holiday so maybe has some bearing) and full of people crowding the bar despite people sat there eating, as well as blocking the entrance etc. Service from the bar very pleasant but the assumption seems to be that you're going to eat with your fingers so you'll be brought napkins but have to go find your own cutlery. Medium spice was to my mind a hot elsewhere; whilst that's a quirk you could get in many places it was an unwelcome surprise. Chicken batter a bit granular, pickles and fries overpriced. Toilets 'amusungly' seem to have locks set to show vacant when occupied and vice versa.

Google
Arguably the best fried chicken sando in London. Highly recommend. Super crunchy and juicy

Google
A must-visit. The buffalo burger was top-notch, and is absolutely stuffed with chicken. The wings were the best I’ve had in my life: huge, succulent, and covered with a glorious, zingy crisp. For my money the most authentic chicken spot this side of town.

Google
The food quality was simply not good. I got chicken tenders which were small and had barely any flavoring. Pieces of the chicken were an odd brown color and tasted funny. The fries were okay but definitely from a frozen bag. I was disappointed.
