Google
This is THE WORST experience I have had in a while! First of all, the entire food court is confusing and partially self-service which would be fine if it actually made the service faster. I waited for my order for over 25 minutes which is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE for an airport spot. They only had two employees and they were very slow amd did not seem to know what the’re doing. The system takes your name but there are no order status screens so you have no idea if your orders is even in progress. Lastly, the Pad Thai I ordered for $14 was just a veggie dish with no protein, EXTREMELY SPICY and didn’t even taste like Pad Thai. It I could barely finish it and would’ve asked for a refund if I wasn’t in a hurry to catch my flight. HORRIBLE experience, especially for this price. A total rip-off and they wouldn’t care at all.

Google
This was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The Lo Main texture was horrible, overcooked, dry. Not flavor at all in all dishes.

Jane Ahmon

Google
This place looked so interesting and i was confused why there was no lines but i soon knew why. I ordered the fried rice because the picture looked very appetising and paid over $3 extra for beef, but it looked terrible. The rice was not cooked correctly and was brown. It was not even fried; they just added gross CANNED vehetables and the meat was so dry and bland. No flavour whatsoever than just oil and preservatives. Highly disappointed and this is definitely not what fried rice should look and taste like. Definitely deceived by the pictures. Moreover, there was only one cook there and the kitchen looked very unsanitary. Do not recommend; go to the bagel place right next door. Prices are exorbitant as well; $32 for teo

Google
The spicy noodles are awesome here. I always get the pad thai or Singapore noodles and add 1 chili sauce packet to take it from medium to hot. Make sure you stir the noodles bc a lot of the flavor sinks to the bottom so the top layer of noodles is plain then the bottom is super spicy. Service is sometimes slow but spicy noodles for $15 is amazing airport quality food.

Sidd O.

Google
Ordered Spicy Singapore noodles and added shrimp for $3+. The noodles were tasty but the shrimp was overcooked. It literally melted in my mouth like mush. Will not recommend

Caroline Condon

Google
Pad Thai advertised as including fried egg but did not actually have any egg; sauce tasted like it might just be ketchup and hot sauce; chicken was so freezer burned as to be inedible; ordering is chaotic & makes it impossible to tell how long the line is. The bar for airport food is low, but this place takes it to impressive depths

Google
This place needs to be shut down. The fried rice was a total scam—just plain rice dyed brown with soy sauce, no flavor, and filled with canned vegetables and rotting produce. The smell alone was off-putting. The egg rolls were obviously frozen and microwaved, soggy and oily with no texture. The chicken was reheated and a bit burnt—not fresh by any stretch. We paid over $50 for food that felt like it came out of a freezer and had been sitting around for way too long. Serving visibly spoiled ingredients in an airport is a serious health risk. This isn’t just low quality—it’s dangerous. Avoid this place at all costs.

Google
Don't be like me! Believe the reviews! I read them and thought, it can't be that bad, but I waited over 20 mins for rice and chicken... No shade on the staff, they were stressed. At one point I was worried I wouldn't get it in time for my flight (so if you do order here give yourself time) but you pay in advance so I don't even know who I'd talk to if that really had become a problem... Not sure the other places in the airport are any better but I wouldn't try this again

Yelp
Came here for a quick breakfast before my flight. Ordered the pork wonton soup and it came with 4 big dumplings. For the price point, this is pretty good value. There was one worker cooking everyone's orders. You can order on the self-service kiosk or by scanning the QR code located on the menu. This spot is located in a food court surrounded by other food options. Overall a positive dining experience if your expectations are fast food vibes.
google avatar

Leigh C.

Yelp
Two stars for having a vegan option and for being fast. I got the tofu and veggies and it was honestly very not good. It could be worse, but not by much. It tastes like sautéed frozen veggies and doused with hoisin sauce. Tofu was weird as hell and I love tofu. You order and pay on a screen. There was only one employee here- the dude cooking the food. I felt bad for him because what a shitty job. Give the man some company.
google avatar

Angie L.

Yelp
You know what, this wasn't horrible. Reasonable wait for food (order at kiosks). A little under $17 but that's airport pricing. The veggies and tofu were well-seasoned, hot, and crunchy. The $2 extra fried rice was way too salty -- couldn't finish. Should've just gotten plain brown rice. A lady came up and asked where I got my food bc it "looks delicious" so there's that too.

R H.

Yelp
Easily the worst Asian food I've ever had. Came in on an international flight and was starving. Got the pad Thai and spring rolls. My wife got the lo mein. Pad Thai was funky tasting and the chicken was incredibly dry. She said the lo mein tasted old. Egg rolls were soggy. Don't make a poor choice like we did.
google avatar

Brian E.

Yelp
Just here for the Pad Thai pile-on. It was the absolute worst I've ever had. I don't mind spicy food but this was unnecessarily spicy that it took over whatever other flavor the dish might have had. Took three bites and couldn't eat anymore. Fortunately the trash bin was hungry so that ate the rest of it.

Mary S.

Yelp
Seriously overcooked chicken was not edible. I wasn't expecting much.... But this is god awful. Next time I will bring food from home.
google avatar

Mindy G.

Yelp
I was craving some rice so I stopped here to get some tofu over rice with some hot and sour soup. The soup was the worst. No flavor or salt, just a lot of heat and a few chunks of super small tofu in a container of broth. And the rice bowl was the same. I had to add some soy sauce packets which I never do, in order to choke it down. I beg of the owners to actually taste some of this food. They will know that I am telling the truth. Do NOT go by the photos in the kiosk. It will look nothing like the sad food you will actually get, missing veggies and volume. I was really upset that I payed airport prices for this meal. This is a warning to others who are starving at the airport. Stay away!!!
google avatar

Yuliya K.

Yelp
A bit under $20 cold entrees with tiny portions. Long wait. Would have been cheaper to go to a sit down place than order from this hole in the wall place.
google avatar

Amanda K.

Yelp
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ORDERING THE HOT & SOUR SOUP! It had nothing but broth and literal mushrooms. And I kinda of figured i was taking a chance with it being in the airport so i wasnt expecting authenticity. but my god, it was intensely spicy that it was so hard to even swallow. i can handle spice but gees! i was just drinking peppers at this point!

Susan B.

Yelp
When you watch the cooking method and the hygiene you won't eat here. I ordered Singapore noodles, described as coming bell peppers, red onion and bean sprouts. It didn't contain any of these items. noodles Curry powder, white onion and a tiny amount of broccoli. It was wet and sloppy on the bottom and no one to raise it with.
google avatar

Mo R.

Yelp
Very slow and worst pad Thai I've ever had, it tasted like spicy spaghettios, almost no vegis, almost no chicken even though you pay extra, don't waste your time with this place, so disappointing
google avatar

Jocelyn S.

Yelp
I ordered the Singapore noodles with beef and omg AMAZING! Plenty of beef and veggies. Enough to feed 2 people. Compared to nearby restaurants this was the best choice.
google avatar

Trevor M.

Yelp
Yesterday I made a simple order. Won ton soup, fried dumplings and two egg rolls. I should have taken a photo but I forgot. 1. Won ton soup was so spicy I could not even take a sip without my mouth burning. And no won ton soup I've ever eaten has fried won tons inside. 2. The side order of fried dumplings were cold inside like the meat wasn't cooked all the way through. 3. The two egg rolls looked like they had been sitting out all day (didn't even attempt to eat them in fear of getting sick). I returned the food and received a refund. After this I went to 5ive Steak where my experience was slightly better but not by much (see review). It's a shame when Starbucks has better tasting food than the supposedly eating establishments inside Terminal 5.
google avatar

Clari B.

Yelp
On my way to a flight I started to feel immensely nauseated and knew I needed to eat something. But it's the airport so I had to find something suitable and fast. There were so many sweets and greasy options all over my gate area :( I thought I'd have to suffer until my destination. I saw this spot and the premade sad sandwich options a ways away so I opted for hot food. I got a pork dumpling soup. To my surprise (and before yelping) I got a very decent not too oily soup. It helped my situation greatly and wasn't a waste of money. I dont know how the other foods are but I saw some broccoli and meat over rice dish being prepared and that ish looked banging. Overall a good pit stop on your way to your gate.

Sarah R.

Yelp
I thought the reviews were an exaggeration but it's actually as bad as described. Singapore noodles tasted pike cumin and oil. Asked for it spicy and found a clump of hot sauce in the middle of the noodles not mixed in at all. Extra veggies meant three pieces of broccoli. If you're looking to sh*t your pants on your next flight, be sure to eat here!
google avatar

Alliebee H.

Yelp
This got to be the WORST.. the absolute worst Pad Thai I've ever eaten in my whole entire life. Lol red/green pepper in pad Thai? What?!? Aside from that, this is NOTHING like a Pad Thai, the taste is nothing like Pad Thai. It's a different taste lol The only resemblance is the color and the noodle type.. I think I can cook better than this
google avatar

Armie M.

Yelp
I definitely do not recommend this place or their food....we got general tsos chicken, sesame chicken and wonton soup and they're all horrible. It's not even "not bad" or "ok".....they're horrible! Very overcooked. Chicken is soooo hard; Wonton soup has fried dumplings! Lolz..,..do not waste your money here. I say if u want Chinese food and if the cook is not Chinese, forget it, DO NOT BUY! If there is negative stars, that's what I would put, not 1 star!
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
This place has gone downhill. It use to be so good. Now they gone care seeing as ya pay for your food and catch your flight. Rice was old and not fully cooked. It's sad because this use to be the place to go at jfk airport
google avatar

Margaret P.

Yelp
Pros: Delicious food. Cons: The food took over fifteen minutes to prepare and the ordering process was confusing. Overall score: D
google avatar

Mattin D.

Yelp
For airport food, it's not the absolute worst, but it's by no means good either. On its own merits I could not recommend it, but if you're a vegetarian in this terminal of JFK, it's probably one of the best bets. I've been here twice and have gotten the Veg & Tofu each time -- the first time, I was actually kind of surprised because it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. The second time, unfortunately, was far worse. The sauce was goopy (in a gross way) and didn't taste good. You can tell the tofu was frozen because of the texture, which is fine by other means, but the tofu was just not good either. Rice was alright but hard to mess that up. Overall, I'd probably come back just because it's one of my only options in the terminal, but I won't be particularly excited for it.
google avatar

Sharon Y.

Yelp
This place is an embarrassment to all Asian food - even worse, it's a health hazard. It was severely understaffed with only one guy cooking all the meals to order. My hot and sour soup was tepid at best, and when I bit into the unappealing gluey-looking dumpling (definitely not steamed), the pork and other ingredients inside were not cooked. I really hope I don't get sick from this. It was so bad and I was so hungry that I took my food to the register and insisted on getting my money back. Not sure the other restaurants were any better, though. I tried the Caribbean Kitchen next, and their beans and rice and sweet plantains were barely above room temperature. At least the tostones were freshly fried and hot. Seriously, JFK has the worst airport food I've ever had.
google avatar

Rajiv K.

Yelp
Insanely unorganized system to get food. No customization. The order was wrong. Got fried dumplings vs steamed as displayed in their own system. Ordered a veggie pad Thai and got chicken. Luckily I am not a strict vegetarian so I ate it, but disappointed nonetheless.
google avatar

Shizzle L.

Yelp
To order 2 things over priced and they still mess up your order and you don't find out til you are comfortable on your flight is totally unacceptable ...... I'm definitely gonna back charge this crap
google avatar

Denise D.

Yelp
Made to order, and definitely hot and fresh. It wasn't AMAZING, but it was decent. I suggest ordering whatever the daily special is, it was CHEAP and tasty. I'm a sucker for egg drop soup, and this was hearty, delicious, and creamy. It seems there may be inconsistency with the actual items you order, like whether you get each item in a dumpling sampler, but overall, I was pleased with the steamed appetizers. It was nice to find a hot, comforting meal after s day of travel, and get it within under 20 minutes. I overspent, with a tab of $22 for one, but if I'd passed on the Singapore Rice Noodles (that we're bland and lackluster) I would have saved myself half of the total.
google avatar

Carlos H.

Yelp
Probably a tie for the worst Chinese food I've ever and the worst airport food I've ever had in my life. Did they just make white rice and then sell it as fried rice for $10? Seems like it!
google avatar

Milena H.

Yelp
I'm sure they're doing their best but given the previous reviews, it looks like they really need to reevaluate their system. The problem is they don't have much of a system. I waited about 40 minutes for Singapore Noodles with added vegetables. Tip: stay at the booth so you don't miss your number. Once you miss it, they will use it for another order and then you'll have to wait longer. I left the booth briefly to pay for the meal first and the intention of saving time backfired. Instead, I had to wait for them to make it again. At first, I was handed regular Singapore noodles and saw it was missing vegetables so I went back and they threw in 3 pieces of raw broccoli, it only touched the pan for a second. Very disappointed but also, I didn't see one single person who was happy with their experience. Multiple solutions: hire more cooks, stop allowing orders to go through if they can't handle the capacity in a timely manner, put stanchions in place for ordering line.
google avatar

Samuel S.

Yelp
Don't get the General Tso's chicken, tastes bad, no veggies, and mainly breaded......
google avatar

Keisha S.

Yelp
If I could provide zero stars I would. The food is disgusting and over cooked. I purchased the General Tso chicken and you could tell it Hansen sitting for a long time.
google avatar

Roseann R.

Yelp
Stop putting this places like this in business. Took an hour to get our food. When we told them that items were missing, they yelled at us. They were out of something and substituted for other things instead. Food is gross. Please don't keep visiting them.

Art F.

Yelp
Wonton soup had good wonton, broth very peppery. Tofu in garlic sauce tasty, but very salty. Brown rice was best part of my meal, for more almost $30.
google avatar

Ana F.

Yelp
Dreadfully slow. Like miss-your-flight-if-you-order-here slow, people were pissed. Why was there one dude cooking each meal from start to finish for all these people? We did our best to switch our energy from anxious and irritated to simply feeling bad for the guy who was holding up the fort entirely on his own. Yikes. Big yikes.
google avatar

Rich H.

Yelp
Let me just first say their ventilation system is not the best those poor cooks are working in sweaty conditiions I ordered the chicken Kung Pao and a starter dumpling dish Dumplings were frozen and thrown in boiling water. Not fully cooked and hella bland The Kung pao has two maybe 3 bite sized pieces of chicken some onions and peppers and a whole lotta rice. Flavor was average but it might was well been a rice bowl. Btw there were a decent amount of peanuts in the dish and whole red Chile's as I wanted it hot Honest I should have gotten a sandwich or some over priced sushi across the way. Highly disapponted in this place
google avatar

Tara N.

Yelp
* When you're in an airport, sometimes you have to be willing to compromise your food standards. Lucy's Asian Kitchen is located in a little blocked off food court-ish area of the airport. It is neighbor to other fast food options along with a self serve food bar that all share the same checkout process. I did not have my wallet on me, and was happy to find that the registers did accept apple pay here. I ordered the Pad Thai with Tofu. Pros: -Big portion -Affordable -Made fresh -Hot Cons: -Not really the typical flavor scheme of Pad Thai -Proteins cost extra -Overall taste -Quality of Tofu If you come into this meal not comparing it to previous notions of Thai, you may enjoy a hot fresh meal, but beware!

Tatiana P.

Yelp
The worst service ever- I ordered singapore noodles but they didn't have it and kept silence. I wasted my time and stayed hungry because my boarding time was soon. I asked them twice and they didn't answer properly.
google avatar

Jerica L.

Yelp
It's airport food so you can't expect too much from it. I like the way you order your own food on a tablet and the food is actually cooked fresh. The food was actually good. The one only thing I didn't like is when the noodles stick to the bowl they put it in, it transfer onto your food. Will give this place another try.
google avatar

Wilson B.

Yelp
After ordering from the machine and waiting a short while for pick-up, it was off to the common registers to pay. I wish that we could pay at the machines where we order but the system is the system. I loved the biodegradable packaging and that is something I noticed before opening it up. When I finally did that I was surprised by home much food it was. I expected them to skimp because it is an airport dining establishment. The amount of food was sufficient but the food itself was C Grade. My biggest issue was with how the bell peppers and onions were sliced so huge. Plastic forks don't go into to larger, sautéed bell pepper slices easy and the onions seemed to be on equal footing with the chicken I ordered. The meal was simply so so. Average compared to all the rest.
google avatar

Ziad N.

Yelp
I have been eating here for years (since the Terminal opened) and I found the food to be decent- tasty and a large serving which made up for the price. Yesterday however, I was served a dry, sub par meal. Had I not been in a rush to get to my airplane, I would've returned it and demanded a refund. I ordered the Sesame Chicken and requested it "spicy" (an option on the electronic ordering pad). What I got was extremely dry chicken with one real and two tiny pieces of broccoli and a very little green pepper. NOT worth it. Oh- not spicy and no sesame seeds (it's called sesame chicken, right???) *I attached a photo of my food when I opened it (after I added some soy sauce) and the rice after the chicken was gone. Notice how totally dry the wire rice is- not an ounce of the sauce nor a single sesame seed. I've ordered this a hundred times before (literally) and been satisfied. This was like something out of a trash can. As an aside- they screwed up two other orders while I was awaiting for mine to be made- one of which was the wrong food which they took back and then handed it to another customer (health code violation there because it had been opened by the guest one). Order from here but I'd suggest you check your entire order before heading to the checkout to pay. If you are pressed for time, you are probably better off trying one of the others or just hitting the hot food or salad bar.
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
This is an Asian food spot in the food court inside the JetBlue terminal. You order on an iPad and wait for your number to be called. You pay later as you exit the food court. This is nice for folks who are in a rush and did not want to interact with anyone. Pad Thai without any option to add protein cost $12. It was made within five minutes which is great if you are at your gate and do not have a lot of time to wait for food. I saw that the chefs made the dishes to order which was a great surprise. My pad Thai was satisfying but was very oily and had no meat. I would come here again and try some of their other Asian dishes.
google avatar

Jorge G.

Yelp
Food was horrible. Chicken looked like plastic. Sauce was mediocre at best. Don't recommend.

Carly G.

Yelp
Besides the wait for the food, the wonton soup was inedible. I also received wrong items.
google avatar

Alec F.

Yelp
Pretty good for airport fare. Singaporean Street Noodles were quite good and seemed vegan. Tofu was extra, not cool. Would like more tofu and vegan dishes.

Beth I.

Yelp
Got the Lo Mein .. was skeptical based on reviews here.. but it was nice and hot and had decent flavor.. added some sweet and sour sauce and it was good!
google avatar

Cristal A.

Yelp
Would not recommend egg roll wasn't cooked right all soggy and underdone, Singapore noodles not good, found a spot when I was eating that was full of seasoning they couldn't even mix it in before serving! Wouldn't be back
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
Blah! Considering how big this airport is I was expecting better food. I ended up getting the Mongolian beef with brown rice. There was way too much sauce and the beef definitely tasted as it was straight out of the freezer. The only upside was the brown rice, onions and green beans and it was quick to order via iPad, otherwise I would highly suggest something else!
google avatar

Jen H.

Yelp
Not bad at all for airport food. And surprisingly, the pad thai here is better than any pad Thai I've had in the Bay Area (where the noodles are always too ketchupy and soggy). The noodles come out literally 10 feet away from a piping hot wok, where the cook expertly tosses the al dente noodles, bell peppers, onions, scallions and sauces. Beware: the sauce does pack a bit of heat- which I loved, but may not be for those who don't do spicy. The noodles contain a liberal amount of salt and oil, resulting in an in-your-face end result- something I did not mind at all after all the healthy, blandish California food I've been eating lately. But more health conscious folks be forewarned, your taste buds will thank you but your body might hate you afterwards. Service was quick- got the noodles less than 10 min after ordering on the computer screen (way faster than the amount of time I've waited for a Boar's Head sandwich next door on multiple occasions). The head chef doesn't seem to have any sort of volume control though- so don't be alarmed if he barks your order is done.
google avatar

Spencer H.

Yelp
Superb chicken with mixed vegetables with brown rice. And it's definitely a less expensive option if you're waiting for your flight at the terminal. Do people ever eat at air ports after they land? Unless I were completely famished, I don't think I'd ever do that. Anyway, the wait was about 10-15 minutes. They changed the rules. You have to pay before picking up your food now. They won't give it to you unless your receipt shows the word "paid" in red. It costed me about $12. The system of calling out numbers needs some improvement. They should invest in some kind of way to present numbers for orders that are ready to pick up on a big TV screen. This is JFK we're talking about. The busy hustle and bustle of this place demands that there be a much more efficient system rather than some poor worker shouting out order numbers only for people to not hear them. They can and should do better. By the way, can you tell that my flight was delayed? Why else would I be writing this review right now? Safe travels!
google avatar

Jovie Y.

Yelp
Got the sesame chicken for like $12. You can taste that the chicken is already old and then they re-fry it again. Not appetizing, doesn't taste good and such a waste of money. But anyways, what can you expect for Airport food right?
google avatar

Kai B.

Yelp
The self ordering computer is great idea. Some people don't know how to use them. The portion is too little. The rice is way to dry. No egg roll at all. The dumplings are way too dry and no house soy sauces. The food is such ripoff. I have paid $25 for shitty food here.
google avatar

Carol-Anne R.

Yelp
If you have ever had Chinese food before, DO NOT EAT HERE! It would have you longing for that food. This is NOT that food. If you are a vegetarian, know that the vegetable will be slathered in a thick gross sauce, that not even hot sauce could make better. And that there will not be many vegetables. For an establishment in a city, NYC, with really good bad Chinese food this is a disgrace. I had the vegetable fried rice and vegetables. The rice was hard and tasteless, and the vegetables were coated in a thick tasteless yet awe fully tasting sauce that invaded everything in the bowl rendering the entire meal disgusting. Find something else to eat. Anything is better, maybe even Fancy Feast...
