Been here twice now, so I feel like the review is accurate for me personally. First of all, the service is great and very personal and energetic. Ashley and Michelle were helping out behind the bar this last time, and both were really welcoming and efficient. They even gave me a coupon for a free drink when I closed out, which was nice. It is a small space that is cozy, and still captures the diner experience. Cool bar setup with ten low but comfortable seats. Three booths and a table complete the setup. One large corner TV, and the first time cool beach stuff was on, and the second time sports were on. The background music was energetic, yet not your boring mainstream stuff. Liked it. They give you pretzels to munch on when you sit down, so that is fun. I ordered the signature Juicy Lucy with no pickles and cooked onions, and it was solid. Mine came with pickles on it, but no biggie. I admit to being overly critical of burgers, so let's get that out of the way. The stuffed cheese was fun, but I always find with stuffed burgers that getting the burger at the right temp is tough so therefore it changes the taste a bit. I personally prefer a good medium rare burger for temp. Still solid. Packets of hot sauce, ketchup, and mustard were on the bar and at the tables. I got a side of fries with buffalo sauce to dip them in. The fries were good too. They also have truffle/caviar fries on the menu, which looked interesting, unique, and a call to come back and try at some point. And, of course, Tennyson Street in that couple of block stretch is a great place to explore and do fun things. Can't beat it. Finally, I have to mention that this place is on Inkind, which if you aren't on, you should be. It also means they stay in the loop as far as reach. Smart. This place is a great experience overall for both service and food. Definitely recommend, and see you there...

If you're on the hunt for the absolute best burger in Denver, look no further than Lucy's Burger Bar. This isn't your average chain joint; Lucy's is a true gem, and it's clear from the moment you walk in that this place is built on passion. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lucy's and even got to chat with the owner. Her dedication to quality food and exceptional customer service truly shines through in every aspect of the experience. It's refreshing to see a small, independent, and proudly women-owned business thriving with such a clear vision. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the burgers! While everything on the menu looked fantastic, I highly recommend diving into the Juicy Lucy. Trust me, you will not regret it. It's a flavor explosion that perfectly encapsulates what a great burger should be – juicy, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. Visit their store location or check them out at their booth Empower Stadium. (I did both!) Lucy's Burger Bar is more than just a meal; it's an experience. Support local, savor incredible food, and discover your new favorite burger spot. You'll be glad you did!

After our Memorial Day hike, we were starving and looking for a place to eat—most restaurants were closed, but we found this spot open! The menu said they had burgers with gluten-free buns, which got us excited… but when we got there, they were out. 😅 They offered lettuce wraps instead, and we went for it! Honestly, no regrets—the burger was juicy, flavorful, and lower in calories. Win-win! 🍔💚 Bonus: it was Monday Bingo Night, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Great post-hike vibes all around!”

Google
The Juicy Lucy is easily the juiciest burger I have ever had, not even a question. The juice literally pours out of the middle of this stuffed delight. Our group also had the Blucy (blue cheese), hamburger and double cheeseburger. All very good. The fries were super crispy, good beer selection, good service.

Google
I'm glad I came here and had to try the burgers. Over a year ago was the first time I had a juicy Lucy in MN. I really liked it so when I found out I could get one here. I was so excited. I came the next day. I brought the fame and they all ordered the juicy Lucy so I had to be different and got the saucey Sally. Unfortunately, I was let down. I'm not sure if there were thousand island on it. It was still a great burger but it did not give me the hype like I thought it would. I would say if you come here get the juicy Lucy and leave Sally alone. Fries where delicious also. And they have cocktails if you want. Also they carry Pepsi products for soda. Overall so glad I came here and I will be back for another round!

Google
5/8/2025 Amazing. Just a amazing Burger. $11-$17 per burger. Get the half order of fries. Little crazy charging $1 for a slice of tomato though. The burger is already pretty pricy. 20% gratuity included on every order.

Google
★☆☆☆☆ What a letdown. I have no idea how this place gets hyped. The "Juicy Lucy" burger? More like a dry, overcooked mess. Barely any flavor, and definitely not worth the price. The cocktails were nothing special—watered down and forgettable. As for the "vibe," it felt like they were trying way too hard with the retro décor and forced bingo nights. Loud, chaotic, and not in a fun way. Music was obnoxious, not enjoyable. The service? Indifferent at best. We waited forever just to get acknowledged, and when we finally did, it felt like we were an inconvenience. For what they charge, I expected way more. Instead, I left disappointed and annoyed. Definitely won't be coming back—and I suggest you don’t waste your time either.

Google
Sorry for the lousy photo- my I'm in the middle of moving and got takeout from Lucy's Burger Bar to eat at a hotel. I ordered from Lucy's because it had good reviews from other people with celiac. The burger I had was possibly the best gluten free burger I've ever eaten. The bun was so good, I was a bit concerned that it was a normal bun, but I have not been glutened, a day later. If you need to eat gluten free, this place will take good care of you. They have a dedicated fryer for fries. And yes, it wasn't cheap

Yelp
Located right in the heart of Tennyson Street, Lucy's Burger Bar delivers a dining experience that's as bold as it is cheesy...literally. Known for their inventive cheese-stuffed burgers, fun drinks, and standout oysters, this spot has quickly become a Denver favorite. I sampled a little bit of everything on my visit, and here's what blew me away: Juicy Lucy: The iconic Minneapolis-style burger overflowing with hot, melted cheese, paired with pickles and onions. The Saucy Sally: A double-patty marvel stuffed with American cheese and drizzled with thousand island dressing, topped with onions, pickles, and shredded lettuce so think of it as an upgraded, cheesier Big Mac. The Blucy: For blue cheese lovers, this is for you. Seafood & Sides: I enjoyed a half dozen oysters that were undoubtedly some of the best in Denver, a Chicken Finger Basket, and a Mac & Cheese Wedge Basket (complete with fries and pickles). Signature Drinks: The Lucy's Spritzer, a refreshing mix of pineapple-soaked vodka, champagne, and soda; a Spicy Margarita with pepperoncini-soaked tequila; a Galaxy Margarita accented with Cimarron Tequila and a salt rim; the playful Cardi B Rum Punch Pouch (an adult twist on a Capri Sun); and the Tart Cherry Star, made with tart cherry-soaked vodka and Starry soda. With special events like Bingo Mondays, BOGO Juicy Lucys on Tuesdays, and oysters available on weekends, there's always a reason to swing by.

Yelp
Lucy's was a cool, one and done, burger bar. Despite its small size, you can cram a lot of folks inside, lol. The wait staff was kind and friendly. The cocktails were what'd you'd expect, in terms of taste. This is where the "good stuff" ends. If you read no further and still wanna go, be ready to take out a small loan for your burger and fries meal. If you're still with me and curious, the short story is that Lucy's is *incredibly* overpriced - as in, are you kidding me?, overpriced. And props to the many Yelpers who've also called this out. We looked at the pics and didn't do our due diligence with reviews. Lesson learned. We just at a reservation only steakhouse and paid as much. Let that sink in. Anyway, here's what we ordered: 3 cocktails, a half order of fries that we shared and two burgers. We paid $120. They include a mandatory 20% gratuity, so keeping this in mind, our food and drink bill was $100. Maybe if our burgers had literally blown us away, we could've chalked this up to a "whoa, that was soooo good" and we'll return for a special occasion. But it wasn't. My guy ordered the Juicy Lucy. I ordered the Bluey (blue cheese stuffed burger). His was seasoned well while mine had zero seasoning and only two bites of blue cheese (that took me eating well over 2/3 of it to get to the blue cheese). And I love blue cheese. I was looking forward to a flavor that never materialized. The burger itself was bland. I was so disappointed. If you'd like any garnishings on your $17 burger - like lettuce, tomato or even bacon, you'll pay for each add on. It's a little much. Mustard and mayo are provided in a condiment basket, each in little packets. It's was almost comical. Anyway, you can tell I wasn't impressed. It's the little things or lack thereof that always get my attention. So, we each had a burger and 1/2 order of fries. Absolutely nothing special. The cocktails (margs) were good but again, ordinary. The bill was the only thing that was out of place. $120. Yikes.

Yelp
We walked past this restaurant about a week ago and returned today to give their speciality, the Juicy Lucy, a try. Service was friendly and quick. The half order of fries was large but came out way before the burgers so we had finished more than half of the portion already. I ordered the cheeseburger, which was completely over cooked. Like no juice or flavor. The cheese was burnt, the onions were burnt, and it was just disappointing. The juicy Lucy was also somehow overcooked and dry. The melted cheese was the best part and at least gave the burger some flavors the onions were burnt again. Overall, we weren't impressed with the quality of the food and don't think it was worth $40.

Yelp
Ambiance is great, a throw back to the Soda Fountain, yet no ice cream with soda. This is a small quaint place in Berkley Area considered Lakewood/Denver, very nice village. The service is prompt and quiet amenable, large picture windows to view outside, comfortable small booths, about 4 and at the counter "old fashion stools." Charming. The menu is limited, and all is "A la Cart!" For people who like to munch down on any ordinary hamburger, with an A La Cart fries, this might be a nice choice. Juicy is not I would ever refer to the Hamburger; there is a smidgen of a sauce, not very flavorful, the Hamburger is lesser dry meat, request medium cooked, was more well done. The gristle texture was a put off, and when ordered I asked for the grilled onions with the Hamburger. Where were the onions? Scant! As in the photos, I order a burger for my Service Dog, and gave most all of my "Lone" burger to my dog as well. As stated, this is a Quaint place, the ambiance is very inviting; the food could use some major improvement. If one advertises a "juicy hamburger" they might consider "Angus Beef." Although many might enjoy gobbling down the food, as I viewed in the front booth, as a filler for an empty stomach. The Price, for a small dog pattie and a lone tastless chewy hamburger "where's the Cheesy sauce (?) did not make it juicy or tast better. All costing $24.00 is HIGH! There are disclaimers regarding the price, adding 20% and then requesting additional Tip if the waitstaff are exceptional... is asking too much. We love to tip our waitstaff for any service, yet when a eatery takes off the top and then requests more, is highly suspect. The Waitstaff work hard for their tips, the employees/waitstaff ought to be the first consideration not secondary, "If we, as the customer choose!"

Yelp
The juicy stuffed burger is the reason to go. It's huge, hot, oozy and delish. The fries are crispy and yummy also. Not too big on the chicken strips, my daughter said they were flat and stringy. Our server was sweet and helpful, very quick too. We like the low key feel when we dine in, it's not loud. The atmosphere is nice. The only downside is the 20% fee to sit and eat, yes this is a tip but it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Yelp
Stopped in with a friend today for lunch. We had the best hospitality - the entire team treated us so well. Kudos to this kind of service, something slipping away from the Denver scene. Burgers were top tier delicious. They also serve oysters and other goodies...cannot recommend more!

Yelp
Absolutely adored this local spot for burgers. I got a plain hamburger with fries, and it was so delicious. Also on Mondays they have bingo which was so much fun! Looking forward to return here again for their food and fun vibes!

Yelp
This place had a wonderful atmosphere, service was fantastic and the unique burgers were the likes of which you won't find anywhere else. Updating my review from a few years back. Commending the owner on their dedication to a good product and hoping business is booming. Cheers

Yelp
First time trying a juicy Lucy, a Midwestern cheese-filled burger that comes with instructions on how to eat it. A bubbly river of cheese oozing from the burger was a fun experience.

Yelp
Ahhh what a refreshing delicious burger! It was cooked to perfection! It wasn't as messy as I was originally expecting and it kept its shape. The burger itself and the cheese was incredible! I will have more in the future! The service was awesome! Michelle (the owner) is extremely personable and attentive to her customers. She engages and makes you feel extremely welcome! Thanks, Michelle! The ambiance is perfect! Diner style! Plenty of good decor, great art on the walls, bottles on the wall and a great bar service. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Ended up here when we came for the street festival. WOW! I started with fresh oysters, which is unexpected at a buffet joint, but they were outstanding! Amazing burgers. My wife got the sally and I the Lucy, both were flavorful and perfectly cooked. Fries were great as well. Definitely a must go!

Yelp
This is a nice spot on Tennyson street to grab a burger. It is in a great location and has a good atmosphere. It was pretty full for a walk in for lunch on a Saturday. I ordered the juicy Lucy - it was advertised as the most popular burger and would be fun experience to try. However, I ended up not being completely impressed by it. I thought that the burger did not have a lot of flavor outside of the cheese in the center, and was also dry. It was almost like a plain old ground beef patty outside of the cheese. It was also a little more work to eat than I would have wanted to. I thought the fries were good, and the other burgers that I saw come out looked good. I would return, but would try a regular menu burger when I return.

Yelp
Two drinks, order of fries, and two burgers: $92! The fries were good but the burgers highly unmemorable! Greasy too! Got the check and got nickel and dimed! $1 for a slice of tomatoe. 50 cents for lettuce, $1 for gluten free bun. Fine, charge me but make them taste good & fresh please! Service was great though!

Yelp
5/5 visiting from out of town and had the pleasure of being served by the owner. She gave us all the great recommendations to visit. Gotta try the Juicy Lucy! Will come back again!

Yelp
I walked in and the gentleman and the lady that were working were super super kind really welcoming and I had a great first experience. I haven't even cracked up the burger yet, but I unwrapped it and it looks absolutely delicious. The fries I'm eating right now hitting my taste buds like stars and sparks so yummy. Y'all gotta hit this place up. I might even bring my lady here for Valentine's Day tonight.

Jo M.

Yelp
I ordered a "vodka sprite" x2 and when I received my bill I was a bit taken back by the $14 charge per drink and seeing that I was served Grey Goose. I work at a coffee and cocktail spot and unless someone specifies a spirit preference you serve them your well spirit. It was first Friday and getting a bit busy so I paid and didn't bring it up as people were wanting our seats but if I wanted to spend $15 on a drink I would have gotten something fun from the cocktail menu.
google avatar

Yelp
If you are lucky to find parking and seating and in the mood for burgers, make a stop at Lucy's. It's female owned and the burgers are delicious. The staff is friendly and although it's a small space where most of us sit at the bar, we didn't have any issues and could have a private conversation. It isn't a loud burger bar. The Juicy Lucy is a signature order. The cheese is cooked inside the patty so it is "juicy" when you bite into it because of the cheese. I like that they include instructions and do follow them or you'll burn your tongue. You can add lettuce and veggies if you want. The fries are worth your money. We got the half basket and it's quite full and enough for two people. The cinnamon roll was okay. Maybe it needed to be warmer but a nice dessert treat if you're looking for one.

Yelp
AMAZING BURGER! Dare I say best burger I've ever had??! Can't wait to snag another one at a Broncos game too!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Our burgers were extremely dry. I thought for $18 it would've been a bit more decorated but it was below average. 3 stars cus the guys serving us were nice.
google avatar

Cole C.

Yelp
$26 for a burger and fries. Burger isn't really that big and mine was medium rare to rare (it's a burger not a steak), fries were super undercooked. For $26 go to In-N-Out and get 5 burgers or chipotle and 2 bowls. Super overpriced, flavor was fine, will not be back.

Tom V.

Yelp
I really want to rate Juicy Lucy's higher (3.5) because the staff is exceptionally friendly (keep those vibes!), and the quaint, chill atmosphere is so appealing. It's a great spot for a quick bite, and the fries are absolutely spot on. That said, the burger doesn't quite justify the price for me personally. The inconsistency--especially with some burgers being overcooked--makes the cost even harder to swallow for what's meant to be casual dining. While I'll still drop by from time to time for the atmosphere and convenience, the high price point makes it tough for this to become a regular go-to spot.

Yelp
Stopped in after visiting a couple of the fun shops along Tennyson. It was delightful with a funky diner vibe in addition to serving wonderful burgers. The staff was warm and welcoming, guiding us to our ultimate choices this day. My husband loved the Juicy Lucy burger -- two good sized patties with cheese sealed inside the two. It actually comes with instructions to warn of the possible wearing of the cheese down your shirt if one isn't careful! I had a simple burger that wasn't as flashy, though the burger itself had terrific flavor. The fries were skinny like I love and perfectly cooked -- for me that means not too crispy. Plus, it's got a full bar to top it all off. We were able to enjoy a nice beer along with the yummy food. Good place to add to our list when we're on this side of town.

Yelp
Went to lunch on a slow Tuesday and had a good time. The fries were crispy and hot. Tasty. Not special. The burgers are good. Hot & juicy. Duh. Grandson approved of his cheeseburger and fries. Service was friendly and competent. Quiet during our visit. - cheap paper napkins - the 20% service charge -- sales tax was computed incorrectly Lunch for 3 $79.02 USD (inc tax & tip)

Yelp
The Tennyson district is vibrant and fun to explore, and Lucy's is a great stop. Smaller place, but loaded with good vibes and friendliness. We were lucky to get Harlem as our server and chef, and he was an amazingly positive representative of the place with a great personality and elite social skills! I had a bacon burger and my WSO loved their Juicy Lucy, their signature burger. Superb visit, loved it.
google avatar

Catherine M.

Yelp
Met up with friends for Sunday lunch. It was slow as the broncos were playing. Food was mediocre, service was mediocre. They charge $15 for a Lucy burger and require a 20% service charge. Save your money and done somewhere else.
google avatar

Jon L.

Yelp
BITE SLOWLY! It's a mess! I was warned by the attentive and helpful waiter, but still somehow didn't follow through. Seriously--bite slowly and with your face close to the table. Also, hide anything you don't want getting covered in sauce. I lucked out and had a Matrix-style bullet speed thing happen in which my scarf and hat and gloves and coat were barely missed by the flying spray of cheesy saucy goodness, but it could have been worse.

Yelp
Stopped in to this place on a recent trip after seeing some good reviews and some pics of the Juicy Lucy. I'm a sucker for a good burger and I love cheese in all its forms and so I figured that this would be a great spot to stop and get my fix of both. The parking in the area is pretty easy and so I did that and made my way in, sat at the bar and placed my order. The menu has some variety and the place has a full selection of booze but I was going for a lighter lunch so I just got this ridiculous burger on its own no sides. The workers were friendly and gave me the rundown on what to expect from the Juicy Lucy. It's a substantial burger that is loaded in its center with molten, delicious cheese. Think if you made an uncrustable out of meat and the filling was cheese. Brilliant. Nominating this for a Nobel prize. The burger comes with instructions. Read them. Follow them. You're going to want to dive right in but you've gotta let that molten cheese in the middle solidify a bit for the perfect experience. Go ahead and grab some napkins before you take a bite. Long story short it was delicious, albeit slightly messy...so again, have those napkins on deck. The place was clean and loaded with good vibes and everyone there was polite and helpful w/ the menu etc. The burger was totally worth it and I'd gladly do it again. If you're thinking about it, go for it.

Yelp
I'm from Minnesota so I was really excited to find this place! It reminds me of Matt's in Minneapolis (try it if you're ever visiting). I had a pretty good experience and will definitely be back. The French fries need salt and the juicy Lucy could use more cheese. Next time I'll have to try a normal cheeseburger.

Zach S.

Yelp
Visited Lucy's for the first time Ashly was our server she was very friendly and , the Cooks did a great job on our burgers , the area is nice to walk around after eating aswell, I'll definitely go here again .

Yelp
Interesting place. I stopped in with a friend last week during lunch. Service was slow even though it wasn't full. Fries were brought out 10+ minutes before the burgers. Wrong burgers were brought to us. $1.50 charge for the side of ranch we asked for. Burger was ok. Not a place for me, but others may like this type of experience.

Yelp
Stuffed bleu cheese burger was freaking amazing. Staff was super friendly. Space might be small, but atmosphere and drinks were great

Yelp
I'm here in Denver visiting a friend and we were both craving burgers. Realizing that Lucy's was only a 5 minute drive away and considering that it had gluten free buns (we both have gluten allergies), we decided to hop on over. I ordered the cheeseburger which comes with pickles and onions. Keep in mind that all other toppings can be added on, but for an additional fee. My friend ordered the Juicy Lucy, probably their most popular burger. I didn't try this one though. We also split a root beer float and large fries. My burger was pretty good; it definitely hit the spot. Just a classic, no frills, juicy cheeseburger. The food was good, but the service and surcharge are why I won't be back. There is a 20% surcharge which goes to staff. Granted, we were told by the server that there is a 20% surcharge before ordering. Yes, I recognize that we could have left. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt though. If the food and service were pretty good, I could've overlooked the surcharge. Normally, for me though, I'd rather tip at the end of my meal based on how well my experience went. What bothered me most, however, was the fact that the server was simply not doing their job. The employee came to our table to tell us, "Sorry it's been taking long for your root beer float to come out. It's just that I've never been flirted on this much at my job." This person was implying that they were simply too busy flirting with one of the patrons to serve our food in a timely manner. The server continued to go over to this patron to "chat" throughout the night. Fortunately, I was able to get the attention of a different server who was helpful and attentive to ensuring that we got our food. I was appreciative of this. I hope that this poor service was only the result of this one individual. I spent $55 for two burgers, fries, and a root beer float. The 20% surcharge was generous for the service, or lack thereof.

Yelp
Ah man - this was a disappointment! I'd heard good things about their burgers and that they have gf options. Went in with my husband and ordered the super sally burger with a lettuce wrap and took 3 bites of it and decided I was done. I wasn't feeling super great after those 3 bites and told the waitress that it wasn't setting well and that we'd like to tab out. She still charged me for the burger :( went home and ended up getting sick only an hour after eating it.

Yelp
Soooo, I decided to treat myself to a "Juicy Lucy" at Lucy's Burger bar . ( I was part of the Denver Burger Battle this past summer, a consumer by the way ) I drove up today and was seated. 2 tables occupied the restaurant. The Juicy Lucy burger was $15 on the menu, I ordered a small side of fries, $4.50. Small Diet Pepsi, 3.50. AND they charged for lettuce. They CHARGED for tomatoes, WHO DOES THIS?! A thimble of Ranch Dressing? $1.50 to go with those dry fries. A 20% food service charge ON TOP OF YOUR BILL, because the managers and owners refuse to pay a living wage. Long story short, $37 for a diet-Pepsi, burger and fries?! OH HELL NO! I had no alcoholic beverage, no appetizer, no dessert. Granted the burger was " decent." But C'mon! I now realize why this place was empty! I'm sorry people, you can grill better burgers at home and then pay your phone bill and then pay your cable bill and NOT spend as much as you did at Lucy's. Sooooo not worth it. Stay home.

Yelp
The people! The vibes! The burgers! The drinks! Love it all! Midwest flavors and hospitality served up hot.

Yelp
About 4 years ago, I tried my first (and only) jucy lucy in Minneapolis and have been fantasizing about it ever since. I've searched for it in other states, but just hadn't found any jucy Lucy outside Minneapolis that seemed worth seeking out...until now! It was....amazing. Perfect medium rare cook on the meat, delicious cheese oozing out of the Patties, flawless seasoning and toppings. I will DEFINITELY be back: this is authentic.

Yelp
This place has been on the radar for a while, so after deciding to have a night out on Tennyson we thought starting with dinner at Lucy's was a great idea. I snapped a shot of the newer(?) neon sign on the way in - the inside is a classic diner set up with booths on one side and stools at the countertop. There were no questions about it - we were getting the the Juicy Lucy. There are a few other menu options, but you know what you have to have when you walk in here! Also ordered a large fry for the table to share, which was plenty. The burgers came out, instructions also provided. You don't want to ruin your tongue with molten lava cheese, right? They keep it pretty simple with grilled onions and pickles being the only toppings. You can add mayo, mustard, or ketchup if you like. This thing was no doubt juicy - oozing delicious cheese and the burger was sort of a smashed, flat top style and had a bit of a crust. Classic style bun, fresh beef flavor and cheeeeeese, all washed down with a Montucky. This is a must try and I'd say unique for Denver. A taste of the midwest that we didn't know we were missing. Come get your cheese on!

Yelp
Lucy's Burger Bar is absolutely the real deal. You will laugh, you will cry, and you will float down a sea of sensual cheese as you take your first bite into the Lucy burger. This Minnesota delicacy is here in Denver, and we are blessed to have it in our presence. Lucy's features several booths and a long, clean bar top for enjoying all your nostalgic diner memories. Every server, every bar back, every cook is mindful of your experience and makes sure that you feel seen and satisfied during your time in the burger joint. The Lucy burger is the one to get. Oozing with cheese and dripping with delicious juice, you'll thank the cow that gave you this bovine blessing of bodacious beef. They could have phoned it in with the fries and they DIDN'T. A half order of fries could feed about 3 people without breaking a sweat. Bring your friends, bring your family, even bring your enemies here because you'll leave with an experience you won't soon forget. Thank you Lucy's. We'll be back soon.

Yelp
Were the food and drinks I ordered worth the amount of $130 - in my opinion, absolutely not. So much of it was frozen and just reheated. Everything that was freshly made, they had ran out of. All you're left with is a heated up frozen chicken sandwich for $13. Not worth it. This place was delicious when they originally opened but have gone down hill in quality, small town quality of food with Tennyson street prices. The service was great, our hostess was so sweet, so that's a plus! Try the Juicy Lucy once for the experience (which is a la carte fyi) and then move on, such a bummer.

Yelp
Tonight was the first time my bf, Austen and I have experienced a Juicy Lucy burger. I'm not sure why these aren't more popular around the country... it's one of the best I've had! Apparently, these cheese-filled burgers originated in Minneapolis and have made their way to Denver through Juicy Lucy's Burger Bar on Tennyson via Michelle and her amazing team. As an avid cheeseburger lover and seeker of the best food in the city- I can confidently say I've found my burger spot!!! The customer service was on point and everyone from the cook (I believe her name was Tiffany? I could be be totally wrong, but she knows who she is! Lol), the bartender/ server, Chad, to the owner were equally as inviting, warm and kind. You can tell they're a family just doing what they're passionate about, and doing it damn well!! This is an amazing addition to the Berkeley area!

Yelp
Friendly and helpful staff. Good burger and great fries - what more could you ask for? Tuesday night is the Juicy Lucy burger special. It was tasty. Prices are reasonable. The diner decor works.

Yelp
Let's just say this burger was so good, that I literally forgot to take a picture of it once it arrived before my husband and I devoured the entire thing in record time. After toasting to Mo C on her birthday, we stumbled our way over to Lucy's because burgers are life and after hearing about this spot, I needed it in my mouth. Like right then. My husband and I bellied up to the bar and snagged a spot for two, mainly because it was the only spot available (dude this place is popular), but proved to be a good idea, as service was on point and our food arrived quickly. We opted to split the Juicy Lucy - because DUH - and OMG it was so so so delicious. The bread was toasted and although it looks plain (no lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo), I assure you it is not. The meat is quality with just the right amount of grease, the perfect amount of ooze, and the gooiest cheese known to man that comes right from the middle of said burger!! LIKE OMG. Don't skimp on the fries, because although they are extra, they are amazing. YUM. We easily gobbled up our half burgers and happily went about our way and literally can't wait to return! ...and that's all she wrote. #burgerbabe

Yelp
THE best Juicy Lucy's in Denver by far served up by friendly faces in a cool environment - what more could you ask for? Lucy's Burger Bar opened near Post Oak BBQ, and it is awesome to have another great spot to eat on Tennyson. These are Juicy Lucy's done the right way with the lava hot cheese with the texture that you both expect and love. They're planning to stay open until 11:00 PM, but they've frequently sold out earlier than closing during the first week. To make sure there are still Lucys before you arrive, follow them on Instagram! If you've never had a Juicy Lucy before, eat SLOWLY. As Uncle Jesse's evil cousin once said on Full House, "The cheese is hot." It's seriously hot, so you want to nibble on your first bites while your Lucy has its chance to get juicy. The lava cheese inside a burger is everything that you want it to be, and the staff is there to help with any first-timers. The menu is simple, but you're coming here for the Juicy Lucy with grilled or raw onions. I really don't think you can go wrong with either. It's not a big restaurant, probably half the size of Post Oak, but it feels like a neighborhood spot (because it is). I think that's a good thing. There are about 15 bar seats and a few small tables, so this might not be a place for a big group, but it's definitely worth checking out. If you've been craving a Juicy Lucy, Lucy's Burger Bar is already serving up some of the best burgers in Denver.

Yelp
My wife and I just ate there this Friday afternoon Nov. 3rd. We 1st went to the BBQ where no tables were open. We arrived to an empty place, we were the 1st ones there. My wife ordered the juicy Lucy and I ordered the sloppy Joe. Another table was seated maybe 4-5 minutes after we sat down. The table that arrived after us received their food before us, no huge deal. When our food came my Sloppy Joe was Cold. The bun must have come right out of the fridge along with the meat that was medium warm. I sent it back. My wife's juicy Lucy was nominal, at best, and the onions were raw when she ordered them sauteed. For $42 with the tip included I will not even remotely be back. Overpriced under valued food.
